We decided to try this place out last night - we are back visiting in the area and noticed this new addition to Norterra since we visited last year. We loved the food we got. We got the butter Marsala with chicken and goan vindaloo with lamb. Both were delicious - they were a little spicier than I had expected and we didn't ask them to make them extra spicy. My husband didn't find the butter Marsala spicy but I did think it had a kick. Definitely get the shack naan as well - delicious. I only wish the naan were a little bigger as they were a little small in our opinion. We can't wait to return and try more dishes with the lamb as the lamb meat was incredible. read more

Stopped in last night to grab some food as I have been waiting almost a year to try this place. Walked in and we were never greeted by the staff. While looking at the menu trying to decide what we should eat, one of the chefs sneezed while in the kitchen. I know that Indian spices can sometimes make you sneeze, so I'm hoping that was the reason and not that he was sick. What disgusted me was that he did it in the open and then returned to cooking like nothing happened. If you freely do this in the open imagine what is done where customers can't see. No thanks! The food here is great. My husband & I stopped in on our way home to northern Arizona & we're thrilled there was an Indian food restaurant so convenient. We both had chicken dishes at different levels of spiciness - both yummy. Service? Not so much. The woman who took our order at the counter seemed annoyed that we had questions about the menu even though I told her it was our first time there. It appeared that they mostly were doing take out/delivery and thus not much in person contact - at least at 1:30 pm. But would have appreciated a much more welcoming attitude. I LOVE this restaurant. Hands down, it's one of my favorites in this area. Everything is always on point flavor and quality wise. HOWEVER. When you charge $3+ per piece of shack naan, and EVERY TIME we place a pick up or delivery order the entire topping that we've payed for sticks to the foil.... I'm just honestly at a loss for words. I even request that they put oil on the foil so that the cheese and toppings don't stick. It never fails. IT ALWAYS STICKS. Please do better Tikka Shack. I know you can. Shopping can be exhausting (especially dragging a husband along) so lunch was a necessity. I was prepared to like Tikka Shack as I love Indian food. Conveniently located in Norterra, it's a modern, clean (including immaculate restrooms) "fast food" Indian restaurant and had fairly good reviews. reviews. We always stick to favorites at any first meal so my husband ordered the Tikka Masala and I got the Butter Masala and, of course, Naan. Our meals arrived with ample portions, looking and smelling great. I'm always in awe of how restaurants cook incredibly fluffy rice and theirs was no exception. My husband kept telling me his sauce was very familiar, but not Indian. One taste and I realized he was experiencing one of his favorite childhood comfort foods. It tasted just like Campbell's tomato soup. However, there was plenty of chicken in his dish and he enjoyed scooping up the sauce with his naan. My butter chicken was flavorful but lacked the depth of spice I normally encounter at Indian restaurants. It was good until I suddenly felt my mouth full of a LARGE chunk of bone. One can always expect an odd piece of bone in any boneless dish but this piece of chicken had a fork size piece of breast bone attached. I've experienced other "fast" Indian establishments that surpassed Tikka Shack. We probably won't be back. read more

I'd recommend ordering it "hot." The garlic naan was good. The tikka sauce, however, was offensively bad. Sickly sweet. If that's what their tikka masala tastes like, oh my. Avoid it! Where to start bruh. This is the most soul healing food I've had in a while. I ordered online, through UberEats, and was not expecting the kind of quality I got. My first time trying these dishes, and every single one tasted amazing. The portions were bigger then I expected, both meals looks absolutely perfect. The Samosa was filled so fully, perfectly crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and the taste was amazing. Also ordered the chicken 65 biryani, the flavors are so bold, the chicken crispy, the rice crispy but still soft. Everything is spicier then I expected, but not in an overwhelming way, but beware. The food is delicious, but twice we've purchased online and had problems with this location. Most recently we ordered some food ahead of time to be ready at a specific time. When we arrived they "didn't have a record" of the order. Once we showed the email receipt, they looked on the "other screen" and found the order. At which point we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for our order. The order was missing some items. No apologies from the staff for missing our order. The previous issue, the app indicated the order was ready and when we showed up, nothing was ready. It seemed like they only started the order once we arrived to pickup. I am definitely an Indian food phonetic. Anytime a new place opens in the valley I always try to make my way over to try it out. Tikka shack gave me mixed feelings. The set up there is like a smash burger where you order and pay for the food at the front of the restaurant. Pros: The vibe. It was really cute. Decorated with a beautiful aesthetic. You can tell they're really going for Instagram worthy photos there. They take reservations. That was unexpected but a nice surprise since we had a larger party. It's cheaper than most other Indian food places I've gone to. So if you're looking for a cute place to have a meal that won't break your bank it would be perfect. Cons: I would equate the authenticity of and quality of this cuisine to what Panda Express is in relation to Chinese food. This was a set back for me. The rice was great. But I tried the aloo saag as well and the chicken tikka masala and it definitely missed the mark for me as far as authentic Indian cuisine goes. read more

But not too hot for me. If you like milder, you should ask. Also had an order of vegetable cutlets (3) that were very tasty but so spicy hot I could only eat one at a sitting. A small group of women went to Tikka Shack last Friday. The food was good, the restaurant clean and appealing. The issue was we wanted to eat outdoors on the patio where it was quiet and shady. The patio floor, table and chairs had the remnants of bird droppings scattered throughout the area. An employee worked hard to remove the droppings from the table. Also it looked at the patio itself had not been cleaned in a while. At the restaurant next door, two employees were mopping with sudsy water the patio, so they have the problem too. Attention to this issue will do much to enhance the appeal of this good restaurant. read more

My wife and I ate there last night. We ordered at 6:29 pm and at 6:55 pm my wife walked up to see about our order. The young lady in the red sweater smirked and made light of the fact that they must have given our order to someone else. This is unacceptable as we are given a number to bring to our seat for them to identify who gets what order. They were then able to get the order completed by 7:15 pm, which we had to eat quickly in order to get to the movie showing at 7:30 pm. In the future, it may be wise for the person bringing out the food to pay attention to the order number on the table to bring the food to the correct consumer. It would also be wise for the worker to not make light of the situation and possibly make things right by offering some form of reimbursement or extra item to make up for the mishap, intentional or unintentional. Finally, it may be wise for the workers to be more genuinely apologetic rather than a quick apology when bringing us our food. God bless and we pray your establishment does better in such circumstances in the future. read more
