Thank you for your time and attention in resolving the damaged tile we'd received, with our contractor. As you can see from the attached photos, the Zeta Azul Blue Polished Marble and Brass Waterjet Mosaic Tile we selected from TileBar looks beautiful in our remodeled kitchen. I was steadfast in wanting this tile as I'd looked at 100s of tiles over 2 months. My initial disappointment with UPS' delivery of a fragile item and TileBar's poorly insulated packaging was proactively addressed when we received our final shipment of Zeta Azul Blue Polished Marble and Brass Waterjet Mosaic Tiles. TileBar's willingness to work with our contractor was evident in the high-quality packaging we received with our replacement tile. We've received so many compliments on our backsplash and are grateful to everyone who worked together to resolve this issue.

I have used this company numerous times, not just for myself, but for my clients too. I have never had an issue with their customer service being unresponsive. I bought some tiles for my backsplash, and the box came in with w few chipped tiles, and they offered to credit me the amount of chipped tiles or send me replacements for free. I am completely enamored by their countless options and beautiful products! I will continue to support them.

Three photos. The stock photo. The sample photo. The actual tile we received

The tiles we received look dramatically different than the samples as well as the stock photos online. It should be consistent for obvious reasons. Our bathroom now has a very different appearance than we expected (contractor installed tiles shortly after they arrived so we didn't catch it before installed). given the cost of bathroom renovations it's extremely frustrating. The only path to fix would have been a second demo and start over. Attached for reference: actual tile, stock photo, sample photo

Terrible customer service. Received three shipments in a row that had to be rejected due to extensive damage during shipment. This is only due to bad packaging and not the shipping company. We have received four shipments. The first shipment we received was OK. Boxes were palletized standing on edge, braced so they would not fall over, and strapped. The only concern was the plastic straps were stretched to their limit. Should have used steel straps. Two shipments were sent in cardboard boxes with no pallet and the last on a pallet with the boxes lying flat. All three arrived with cracked / shattered tiles. It is impossible to get through to management to voice concerns. They just don't give a damn! I am currently building a home that is now delayed because of their inability to properly pack a shipment of tile.

    Unpacking damaged tiles.

I found the perfect tile, the Portmore White, so I was willing to ignore the 71 ONE STAR reviews. Well, I regret that decision. Tiles arrived broken, so many that we were forced to incorporate stained/speckled pieces into our backsplash. Imagine paying hundreds of dollars for tiles, another $150+ for shipping, and then receiving horrendous customer service. I wish I could say I'm shocked at how this company is still in business, but clearly their inflated pricing and low overhead (apparently no one is actually in the warehouse filling orders...? My order took two weeks to arrive, and I'm still waiting on replacement tiles..) are keeping them afloat. Trust me, and the other 71 buyers who have been scammed- go somewhere else!!

Salesperson (Laila P) was late, was so frazzled and disconnected she provided zero guidance when looking at tile. I think I knew more about the product than she did. Follow up emails to her about tile questions were 100% incorrect ("our tiles are ceramic, non-porous tiles. They are NOT natural stone."). That is UNTRUE!!! Delivery was a joke. Per contract, delivery was with a pallet jack. They arrived with an enormous forklift that could not get down my street (or any NYC street). See image. Dropped it 150 ft from my home. Had to carry 1,350 pounds of tile 150 ft into my apartment. Customer service after that was short and rude (Sedina O). Contested delivery fee with credit card and won. Finally tried to return tiles and they refused because I reached out to them 46 days after delivery (policy is 45 days). Really??!! Go somewhere else where you can buy the same tile for less money. They charge extra so they can pay for their MASSIVE showrooms all over the world. The sales people there are useless. Good luck getting any support from corporate. They are non existent.

What stood out immediately was that she didn't just try to "sell" me a bathroom. She actually paid attention to how I live day to day and designed the space around that. She noticed little things I didn't even think about, like where lighting should hit the mirror, storage that wouldn't make the room feel crowded, and materials that looked expensive without feeling cold or overly trendy. The biggest difference with NYKB was that the process never felt chaotic. Usually when people talk about renovations it's horror stories, delays, and constantly chasing people down. I never felt that here. Everything felt intentional and handled. Maia somehow managed to make a renovation feel calm, which I didn't think was possible. Now that it's finished, my bathroom genuinely feels like part of a luxury hotel suite but still personal and comfortable. Everyone who comes over comments on it immediately. Looking back, choosing NYKB was probably the best decision I made for the project. Maia has an eye that's very hard to find.

Her comment posted to my previous Yelp review gives you an idea as to the type of people you can expect to work with over at NY Rainbow. As posted back in 2013 (and as I reminded Wendy) my Yelp review is an accurate recap of my experience wth NY Rainbow. Nowhere in my review did not indicate that I was a customer or that any money exchanged hands. Everything that's there is an accurate summary of my grueling experience with NY Rainbow. Emails and phone calls are the cost of doing business. As I told Kris and Wendy previously, I was on vacation (personal time) during most of my correspondence with them, so my time was as valuable (and arguably more valuable) than theirs. I made the scope of work known and very clear from the get go and I admitted FROM THE START it was a smaller project. If they didn't want to take on my smaller project, they should have said so at the start and saved everyone the time and frustration.
