He sends me all the samples I request, price quotes, everything. He has made the process totally seamless and easy. Well I had an issue with an order and I called in and was quite rude to their team member Zachary Sumner. This guy was poised, patient and professional. I have made two orders with TileBar, and neither have been very satisfactory. The first order I made in September 2020 and received an e-mail the next day informing me my order was backordered and estimated ship dates. That was fine, but I was surprised when one day I never received any further communication from TileBar letting me know my items were on the way. One morning I received a phone call from the delivery service asking if I could accept delivery later that day. Luckily I was available, but prior communication would have been courteous so I could have planned. I placed a second order to complete phase 2 of our bathroom remodel on Feb 2, 2021. Again, the next day I received an email stating the product was on backorder and the new estimated ship date was 3/22. The date came and went and I never heard anything, so I checked back in. I was informed the new estimated ship date was 4/22. I started to check back in a few days before, but heard back on 4/22 and my product still wasn't available. I understand that they can't necessarily control when product will be available to them, but they are horrible at proactively communicating timelines with their customers (at least for online orders). They already charged me for the tile, so I feel like it shouldn't be my responsibility to constantly be reaching out once their estimated dates come and go. I decided to cancel my second order because I do not want to keep wasting my time with them. read more

I LOVE this company. First of all, being able to order samples for $5 to be able to see the color and texture of the tiles in order to make a informed choice. Second, the wide selection of tile types, material, finishes and colors. Third, their shipping is fast and all my tile arrived in great shape on a palette at my house. Fourth, their website is easy to use and straightforward. Last, but not least, the customer service is fantastic. I accidentally order only half the amout of tile I needed, and they were able to find the same dye lot and send it quickly to me. Plus they helped me not to feel like an idiot. I wouldn't recommend ordering from TileBar, given that timelines for remodels and home improvement projects are often firm. I ordered a relatively small order of 5 boxes of tile. Got a confirmation that they would ship in 1-3 business days. It took 5 business days for them to confirm they didn't have 5 boxes in stock. So, the communication between different sectors of their supply chain is substandard. Their website should have real-time availability and they should be able to get accurate information out to customers more timely. I will now need to start over a week behind the original timeline. read more

Have been trying to get a response for a week now and the lack of customer service is beyond acceptable. It has been nearly a month since I ordered my tile. I have been told by customer service that it was picked up from them so it is now my job to follow up with the delivery company and find out where it is and how to get it to my house. They refuse to help me. I have now tried to call multiple times to the delivery company with no returned call and my entire home renovation is waiting on this delivery. One of the most rude sales experiences I've had in a while. They are supposed to open at 9am. My wife and I went before work. The saleswoman arrived 20m late then told us we are supposed to have an appointment in a rude unwelcoming tone. She then said we'd have to wait 10m so she can get herself settled. Last year i found unique tiles for my kitchen back splash and I received excellent customer service which is just as important as the product itself. On Dec. 15 I ordered over $700 of tile. Seven boxes were delivered. Two were completely in shards. You shipped two more. One was in shards. Gayle Martin said she would get a new box out with a secure delivery agent on Jan. 11 and we have no delivery, no message of notification and nothing but mumbling and fumbling and misinformation on the phone with customer service who has me on hold for more that 25 minutes and can offer no information or reassurance that my tile has been or will be shipped. I cannot complete the renovation of our hurricane-damaged home in Florida until I have in my possession enough tile to finish the job. My next call will be to the BBB. read more

TileBar was an unknown vendor to our small business but a client requested one of their tiles specifically. We reluctantly agreed to work with an unknown business and I wish we wouldn't had. While the tile product itself was fairly standard the grout product we purchased was terrible. We build homes and tile work is standard. Directions were followed with grout application and the product was inferior. The grout cracked and crumbled. This has never happened with any other grout product with other vendors. We took pictures and reached out to tile bar. We were passed along to multiple people until someone got back to us. They stated we installed wrong and wouldn't refund the money spent on grout. TileBar is selling a horrible grout product. Do not buy. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

I wish I would have read these reviews before ordering from Tilebar. The prices appear to be super attractive... so we chose one of their options, only to be a bit surprised with the price of shipping (3 boxes for $75). We ordered the materials anyways and it took 21 days for them to get to Denver. In today's online shopping environment, that seemed like eternity. However, we still don't have the materials because the numnucks they hired (Estes Express) missed the scheduled delivery date yesterday, and then tried re-delivering to my business at 5:38 am today. After the 2nd missed delivery, I tried to contact Estes, who simply doesn't reply. Really disappointed - have had contractors working around this ridiculousness for a few weeks now. We used Tile Shop for the backsplash and now wish we had also for the flooring. Everything was ordered, in and correct within a week. This is the worst company we have ever delt with. My company holds the oldest active tile liscence in the state of Nevada so we have delt with thousands of suppliers over the years and tile bar happens to top the list for being the worst. This was a fairly large order. First my tile came late and in two differnt shipments. When i finally recieved my second sipment, the pallet was broken and 4 boxes of my tile were broke. I reach out to them and they say they will get it taken care of. A few weeks go by and still hear nothing, I finally get a hold of them and they tell me they can not match the dye lot so I have to try to match my marble tile from two differnt dye lots. I tell them i want my entire order replaced, this material was going in to a $5million house, I am not going to put my companys name on something that is not done correclty. They try to make me pay for the return shipping and the shipping for the replacement material. Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. I would politely ask to talk to the guy who was working my claim, then when I would get transfered he would hang up. I left several emails and voicemails. I finally get my replacement material almost 2 months from when the broken tile first showed up. In the meantime, the designers chose another material from this company that i had to purchase, once again issues. They sent me yet again another broken box of material so now the designers had to change their design because the material was now backordered until after January(this took place in September) Over the course of these two months I spent close to 20 hours between dealing with this poor costumer service, the contractor, and the designers trying to find solutions for tilebars poor quality. All of that is time that costed me that I will never get back. read more

If I could give TileBar a 0 star review, I would. I placed an tile order for two bathrooms. The tile I selected was on final sale to be shipped in 1-3 days. I paid approximately $6k for this tile and centered my bathroom selections around this tile. I called repeatedly for a shipping update. Finally, a month later, after another call, a rep told me that my order would be fulfilled from three separate lots, meaning that the tile would not match. The only options they presented were to cancel the order or approved the mis-matched lots. I requested that they find a comparable tile at the same price point and they refused as that was not "reasonable." Dealing with this place has been a dumpster-fire. This is an excellent company with reliable shipping and delivery. I would give them five stars, but they recently introduced an extremely obnoxious marketing strategy for selling grout with each order of tile. A high-pressure "invitation" to buy grout appears as soon as tile is loaded into the buyer's online shopping cart. As if that is not annoying enough, when checking out, a "suggested" grout order is inserted beneath each tile line item in the cart. For a buyer who is not paying careful attention, it would be easy not to notice that clicking the adjoining check box will add grout to the order. This practice is manipulative and insulting. Most people are able to source grout locally, which of course enables them to avoid shipping charges. In any case, grout color is a personal decision, and it is obnoxious for TileBar to foist their color choice on the buyer. This grout-marketing strategy is a bad practice by an otherwise good company. read more

I am writing this review because of the terrible experience we have had with Tile Bar customer service and they have still not responded to my outreach after nearly a month. I am not one to post negative reviews but our experience has been absolutely unacceptable. We had multiple issues with some VERY expensive tile we purchased for a bathroom renovation. We were on tight deadlines with our contractor and Tile Bar messed up the delivery over the course of 2 weeks which ended up costing us thousands of dollars because the work crew had to come back multiple times to complete the job. Tile bar initially sent us the wrong quantities of tile which were needed on time to complete the job, then by "mistake" only sent us a partial amount of of the remaining order. It took hours and hours over going back and forth with reps and delivery to get the shipment correct over 3 deliveries and this significantly delayed the completion of our project and thus we had to pay the contractors a significant amount of money to keep coming back. On top of that we have been told for over a month that a service manager would call us and we still have not heard a thing. We have requested this at least 6 times. Lastly they gave us a measly $150 "credit" for the hassle, but there is no way that we will work with them again after this experience so its worthless to us. We requested this go back to our original payment and that has also been ignored. STAY AWAY from Tile Bar. It is very easy to get customer service right and they have failed miserably. I even wrote them that I would be posting this review and they still didn't respond. Clearly they don't care. read more

My tiles arrived broken and I've tried on three different occasions to get in touch with them. After being on hold for 90 minutes each time, I finally gave up. I'm going to charge back my $1,800 purchase. Again, DO NOT buy from these guys - or you'll be as screwed as I was. It took 2+ weeks, including 1 call and 3 emails, for someone to respond when I reported that some of the tile arrived broken. I asked for a refund and then immediately sent a second email asking for help and pricing on other tiles. That email was ignored. Two days later an email was sent confirming only a refund. Curt, unfriendly tone. Very slow to respond and clearly did not want to put in any extra work to help us find tile. Went with another company. What a bummer.
