I stopped by this Tillys store to look at their hat selection since I was in the plaza this store is in. The staff are very friendly and polite, I was greeted the moment I enter the store and was asked if I needed any help. They were not busy at all and I was the only customer inside on a Thursday late afternoon. The store is a decent size and has a lot of products inside. They have some nice hat selections and also shoes as well. They also carries sunglasses as well. The men's area are on the left and the women's are on the right. Kids clothing are toward the back of the store. There plenty of parking here since the plaza this store is in does not get busy at all. read more

Poor customer service. The ONLY jeans on the girls jeans table had a sign right next to them saying "girls jeans 30% off". NONE of these jeans were 30% off. I told both clerks working the register that this was deceptive. They didn't care. They also couldn't tell me which styles that promotion applied to. read more

I would leave no stars if I could. This manager was unprofessional and cared about nothing. It's amazing the store is still there. I simply tried to exchange my sons underwear that were purchased earlier at another Tillys, and when compared to his current ones that he has they were too small. They were still in the packaging clearly, not worn Tags attached and he would not do it. But thankfully, the Thousand Oaks store would. I will never shop at the store again. I'm sure the store will be closed soon anyways. Good luck to that manager. Getting another job. read more

If I could just not even give a star I would totally give a 0. Though since I didn't quite get the sweet petit Asian girls name I'll leave the one start for her even though she deserve 5. As to the rest and I won't name names because I'm not that horrible... but they know who they are. I walked in frustrated because I've been trying to exchange merchandise I ordered back in March. I've been holding on to my receipts and when I was ready to go and exchange I can't find them. I have copies of them through my email and since I paid through Afterpay I así had that as my receipt. I spent about $768.00 on clothing for my son and half of it didn't fit him. It was his size but apparently the size on the pants comes smaller than normal. Then due to the pandemic and closures, it had been hard to come and EXCHANGE the merchandise. I walked in and it seemed good. Another Asian girl was helping me and was also very polite and told me they would be closing in 7 min. So I rushed to grab my stuff. Apparently I didn't know that connection sucks in that area. So I couldn't pull up my receipts. It took me forever to get them running back n forth outside to get some signal. Then I come back and the Asian girl is gone, and there's a young man waiting for me. So I get told no they can't exchange it as it must be with the receipt. I give them the order number and receipt number that I have and they can't find it. I'm told by one of the ladies " You have to hurry up because we have to close and they have school tomorrow!" I found that very rude and unprofessional. On top of that I was told by her " Also tomorrow we are closed!" Which was a lie because they are open today! I called the company talked to them and it's been a back n forth issue between Tilly's store and Tilly's warehouse. All I am trying to do is get an even exchange of 8 pants so my son could have something that fits him to wear on his first day back to school. Well they made it very difficult. Even when I was there after I asked for their names so I knew who I'd had spoken, one of the young ladies started laughing. I said; I don't understand the joke that you seem to find so funny? As I gave her a stern stare in disapproval of her unprofessional attitude. Though what can you expect when it's run by teenagers who have nothing to lose if they lose their job. They have mama and papa at home willing to swift them up from their burden of apple game app bills. I say this because they seem to be more connected with their phone screen than their actual customers. Either was very disappointed in the entire company itself. I hope they close it down. I don't know what was I thinking buys stuff from here. Target and kohl's have way better prices and extended quality material than they Tilly's does. I washed a shirt a few times and it look like it's a year old already. Materia quality is horrible don't waste your time or money on buying stuff here. read more

I want to start off by saying these employees were nice and very cute personalities! They seemed like they were having fun together, it was just the two of them working. I was looking around for a little while with a stack of clothes in my hand. Then went to the dressing room, they were so engaged in their conversation they didn't hear me ask for help so I had to walk to the registers. (I was the only one in the store at this point) she followed me back and let me in told me to ask for any more sizes if needed. Well it was needed and again they were at the register corner giggling and laughing. I am a capable human so I just grabbed the new size myself. I finished up then went to the registers. Well now they were in the middle of the store and it took another few minutes for one of them to come help me check out. I understand what it's like to be a teen working with friends, it's fun, but I hope their manager can train them to improve on their customer service and being more attentive. It will benefit them much in the future! With their fun personalities they definitely have potential. Overall I was a little annoyed because the last time I was here a dark haired girl saved a dressing room for me and was super attentive and present. read more

The manager Leti has to be the most rude, condescending individual I have ever dealt with! I placed an order for store pickup and after quite sometime I called the store to check on the order. After being on hold for roughly 15 minutes, the store manager Leti got on the phone. With her extremely rude attitude, she told me we dont have the shoe. I asked her if they would have contacted me and said NO, and then in a condescending tone she claimed she doesnt have my information. Which is bull because my information was sent to the store with the order she canceled. She also told me I'd receive the coupon I used back on my Tillys rewards account which I did not! I called her back to inform her that she is wrong and relying wrong information. She basically said ok, too bad and theres nothing she can do I cannot even explain what an absolute horrible manager this woman is. She has NO business working with people, let alone as a store manager. In an already failing mall, this store is doomed with her working there! read more

This was the absolute worst Tillys my husband and I have been to. The girls working were so rude and no help. I use to work in customer service and their attitudes will drive more customers away. Don't work in an industry that requires you to be friendly and helpful if you are incapable of doing those two things. read more

I walked into Tilly's my first time didn't know what it was, and I'm glad I went in. The store was very organized and the employees were very helpful. I love the selection of gear they had. This is the best place in Simi to level up your fashion. I actually plan on going back today to get a fit for my nephew! Anyways when I visited a gentleman, I believed named Brendan helped me and got me sorted out with all the shoes I wanted and was very helpful with helping me find and chose what shoes I should get. There was also a young lady that was there that helped me pick out a nice set of frames, that I literally wear everyday and received many compliments for. Wow it's been a while since I had such poor customer service! I counted 5 employees on the floor. 3 were having a conversation. I had 2 items and was going to try them on but couldn't find an employee willing to help despite there only being 3 customers in the store. :( I also had an email coupon but there was no service in the store rather than offering to just give me the coupon (the code showed) she suggested I step outside to pull up the coupon. I never write reviews but I felt this one was worth it. I've been into this store a few times now, hoping for a better experience each time, but it only seems to be getting worse. The clothing selection is always terrible and overly picked through. The store is such a mess that it's hard to walk around and see what there is. On top of that, the sandal wall for example, was so over packed that you couldn't look for your size without the entire row of sandals falling off the wall hanger. The employees are a hit or miss. It's rare to get a welcoming vibe out of that store. Tillys used to be one of my favorite stores, but this one in particular is horrible. I would definitely recommend not wasting your time here. Their attempt to provide great customer service backfired. Me and my son are in line. 4 employees behind the counter. We're next in line. A lady with Red hair says stand over here pointing away from the line. Keep in mind she's number 5 for employees and only one register helping a customer. My son uses a coupon 20% off 1 item. Spends about 30 dollars. I have about 75 dollars worth of items. I'm told I can't use the coupon. Well keep your 4 dollars off and your 75.00 dollars worth of merchandise. I walked out empty handed. Company's spend thousands of dollars on advertisement to get new customers. I'm denied 4 dollars off and made to feel like crap for shopping there. Never again. Avoid this place they do not know how to treat customers. read more

I've been to Simi Valley store 3 times in the last year and a half year and each time I've experienced terrible customer service! 4 employees and only a handful of customers! My daughter and I standing in line. A young kid and what I am assuming is the manager were working two registers. The manager (larger male) completes the transaction for his customer so I motion my daughter to his register. He quickly tell me that he is closed. He proceeds to do some paperwork and a grabs a handful of clothing and goes to a empty county. Here's a clue for you Tilly's manager, The Simi Town Center is hurting badly for customers. If you don't have customers, you will not have paperwork to do!! Your customers are your priority, not getting your paperwork done so you can close and leave on time. Perception can make or break your business and in this case, today was the last straw for Simi Tilly's for me! Thousand Oaks may be a bit further but the service is well worth the drive. Oh and let me add that they had a handful of customers waiting at 11:07am before they finally opened the door for the day. Yes, I am the one that called your store while standing outside the door with the other peope. I asked what time they opened and was told 11am. I said well its 11:05. This is by far the worst Tilly's location that I've ever been to. The employees have little to no knowledge about the products they are selling. They also have no intention of trying to help you with ANYTHING while you're there. During the holidays I was shopping for sunglasses for my boyfriend and I asked multiple questions about different brands. The employee "helping me" said he didn't know any of the answers to my questions and made no attempt to ask any of his coworkers. Finally, I find a pair that I like so I go up to the register to pay. Before he rings me up I double check that my boyfriend will be able to return or exchange these glasses in the event that he doesn't like them or they don't fit correctly. The employee then tells me that all of their sunglasses are final sale.. you can't even get store credit. I found that to be really weird because usually during the holidays stores will at least give a short period of time where they will allow an exchange or return for store credit. So I decided to leave empty handed but the employee seemed extremely annoyed that I had not bought anything... so needless to say, I will not be going back to this location. If this place wants to stay afloat they are going to need to find some more friendly employees who are willing to learn about not only their products but also about their company policies. read more

Excellent service, the girl helping us was able to greet every customer coming in without making us feel left out, only problem was at checkout, the girl seemed new and charged us incorrectly, another girl had to void out the transaction and start over, when we finally got home we noticed all the plastic anti theft pieces were left on and we had to go back to get them removed. I do like all the cool merchandise they have, it's definitely a unique store. read more

I live in Chatsworth and went to the Topanga location and they were super friendly but they didn't have the size in the shirt I wanted so I went to the Simi Valley location and the service here was HORRIBLE... there were 4 people working and they were all standing at the front talking to each other no-one greeted me or checked up on me and when I needed a fitting room no-one came to help me since the doors were locked and I had to go to the front and ask for a room and they all gave me an annoyed face... I really do like Tilly's, but after a few negative experiences, I feel like I should write about it. First one is not so bad, I came in about 30-40 min. before closing to find my size in adidas shoes. I didn't mess around when I first came in or anything I went straight to he shoe section to find my shoes. In front of the counter about five of the employees were grouped talking. I got numerous bad looks from all of them for some reason (my friend noticed too) and wasn't asked if I needed help after obviously not being able to find my size. So I left a bit frustrated. Second, I went to return two items I purchased online. I bought them both on sale (a sweatshirt and a romper) but they just didn't work out. It wasn't busy at all inside as I went on a weekday, I walked in and was very polite to the girl saying I needed to return the two items. Apparently according to my friend she made a "face" when I said that but I didn't see it so I can't account for it. She then scanned my items and told me I couldn't return them, which is weird because I've returned sale items before. So I asked if I could receive store credit then and she told me no. Most stores, including Tilly's offer store credit if you can't get a refund for your money.. I then asked if I could exchange the items and she said I could, but the amount would be slightly less than what I paid in full. Not including shipping and taxes I guess. I thought this was all weird that I had to ask her these questions and that she wasn't telling my options. So i look around the store, which doesn't have good inventory and is always out of their shoes so I told her I'd go to another Tilly's since I was going to the Topanga Mall right after. I had a feeling she did't wanna help me the way she came off. So I go to return my items at the Topanga mall and the lady there was so nice and returned my item for a refund no problem, then gave me store credit for the other item.... The other girl clearly didn't want to help me. I was pretty disappointed that I was almost forced to get something I didn't want to buy and not get a refund or store credit. Third, I went in just recently with my mom looking for summer clothes for vacation. I had about seven items in my hands and my mom had a few too as we walked to the back of the store towards the fitting rooms. Two store employees could clearly see us walking towards the back as we walked towards them while they were standing in front of a rack of clothing. They looked at us clearly needing a fitting room and looked away and continued talking. I got a good earful of what they were talking about, which wasn't work related at all. Me and my mom are stuck sanding with no one else there to help us while they're gossiping away while we just kinda look at them like hello? I eventually have to walk straight up to them after we passed them and say I need a fitting room. The guy didn't seem like he wanted to help by the way he talked to us. Kind of frustrating. There have been other minor things that have happened, but after this last one I was pretty annoyed and decided to write. There is one girl there, I believe she might be a manger who is very nice though! I don't know her name but when I see her there she is always very helpful and nice. Some of the other employees really need to work on their customer service skills. read more
