Come here lol the time all these years, but never write a review about it even though I posted tons of food pictures of their food. Hands down my favorite dim sum brunch spot due to its spacious and comfy interior design and way parking. We had so many business banquets here for Asian holidays, and it always delivers great ambience and great food. The service here is efficient and attentive, everyone is friendly, especially the manger, Yan. So many dishes I love here, sum up some must orders: Chaozhou rice soup, scallion ginger chicken, deep fried whole fish, truffle chicken, pork belly, salt and pepper pork chop, and ginseng soup etc. You can't go wrong with dim sum, but their egg yolk buns, beef stew, chicken feet, and sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves are scrumptious comparing to other dim sum places in town. You can also call days ahead to preorder the live seafood, such as whole fish, lobster, crabs, abalones.

Attended this restaurant as my friends had gotten married here for their ceremony and their reception. KJ had provided the food and the service. I actually enjoy it myself and the food. On the menu there was cured meats and jellyfish, soup, bok choy with abalone and shiitake mushrooms, baked lobster, seafood fried rice, roasted duck with buns, steamed fish with ginger, and for dessert red bean soup. I liked everything for the most part except for the red bean soup. I did think that between courses they were bringing out pretty fast but I found that it was hard to fit the dishes on the table. Probably because they wanted to keep it out as fresh and hot as possible. The venue was pretty big and the wedding took up half of the restaurant. That had your typical Chinese Asian Flair for decoration

I love dim sum, but unfortunately KJ dim sum misses the mark by a long shot IMHO. The chicken feet is not the typical flavors you'll find in the 626/SGV area, nor is the salted egg buns (skip).

I was first skeptical about this place because of the reviews but it was right downstairs and easy to go since we were staying at the Rio. We came around 10 am so it was not busy at all. But once it hit around 11-11:30 am, it got pretty busy. We got seated immediately and the food carts came out instantly. We got so many dishes like the pork siu mai, the shrimp dumplings, the hakao, the pork fried balls, chicken feet, shrimp rice paper roll, shrimp balls, pork bun, and tendon soup. Everything tasted delicious. We had to ask for the chili oil and the soy sauce. They brought out the hot tea which was nice. The restaurant was pretty big and had lots of tables for big parties. My favorite dish is the shrimp rice paper roll and the pork siu mai. I got full pretty quickly from all the food. Despite the reviews I thought this place was pretty good.

Best kept local dim sum secret place. I've been going this place for years. We were greeted and seated right away. There's Chinese ladies pushing carts around offering fresh dim sum from steaming carts. A separate waiter will come to our table and offer drinks and hot tea. Prices are comparable to most places and for the portions you can't go wrong. We ordered pork buns, pork stuffed "football" which is a gummy flour concoction stuffed with ground pork and mushroom that is crispy outside. We also ordered chicken feet, tripe stew with white radish, egg custard, steamed sticky rice with pork and mushroom, and soft tofu with sugar for dessert.

KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Located on the Westside of the Rio Casino, plenty of parking and good size restaurant for dining or banquets. Ate here for a Red Egg Lunch a couple months ago, they did a very nice job accommodating a large party, service was good and the ambiance is typical Chinese restaurant with loud chattering, but one thing is if there are alot of Asians in the restaurant, must be appealing to Asians who are generally very particular. Dim Sum takeout Pork Siu Mai were good size and good Baked Char Siu Bao maybe on the smaller side with average amount of filling meat, usually one of my go to Dim sum items, these are not bad, not the best that I have had. Egg Custard Tarts are good and above average Shrimp Dumplings Har Gaw are done well, we just prefer Sui Mai more. Heard this is a local preferred Dim Sum place to dine, hangout and socalize

Family dim sum lunch, we all met at 10 to get a table when they opened. There were 12 of us so we needed a large table and it was nice the round tables have a large lazy Susan on the table to get the food and drinks in everyone's reach. Service is not the greatest but the servers push the carts around constantly so you can get food fairly quickly. They also have a full menu available if you want to order items not in the dim sum carts. Tons of items on the menu and carts, I have no idea what most of them were, I just found something that looked good and ordered it, and if it was good got more when they came around again. Enjoy the pics and KJ Dim Sum is worth a visit if you have never been. KJ Dim Sum located in the Rio Hotel and Casino is open from 10am to 10pm daily. Pricing is roughly $20-30 per person based on what you order. Large restaurant with plenty of seating and they can accommodate larger parties if you check in with the host.

I stayed at the Rio for two consecutive weekends because they offered me an excellent deal including a $25/night dining credit. Easy enough to use, just tell them to charge it to your room. I ate at KJ Dim Sum & Seafood three times for dim sum during those two weekends. I've had dim sum everywhere from Flushing, NY to Rowland Heights, CA. Places with heavy Asian populations and I find KJ to be quite comparable. Even though they're in a casino resort, it gives off the vibes of an old school dim sum house. Yes, they serve from the traditional dim sum carts that you can pick and choose any dish. You can also request specific items you don't see and they will make it fresh from the kitchen! They remembered me after the second visit and already knew what I liked which was a nice touch. Pan Fried Pork Shrimp and Chive Dumpling - This was fresh from the kitchen and one of my favorites. Deep Fried Pork Dumpling (Ham Sui Gok) - I get this at every dim sum place and on two visits, I didn't see it but they made it fresh for me when I requested it. It is the best served fresh. Crispy outside, mochi like inside and stuffed with minced pork. So good! Sticky Rice Lotus Leaves - Another one I get at every dim sum place and they make it the way I like. It has minced pork, Chinese sausage, salted duck egg yolk all inside sticky rice and wrapped with lotus leaves before being steamed. The flavors mesh wonderfully. Congee - Thousand year egg and minced pork topped with fried cruller and green onion. I like getting this to pair with all the other dishes because it helps balance the saltiness of everything else. Pork Siu Mai - A classic and they do it well! On one visit the table next to me kept ordering this over and over again. They charge depending on dish size which are all categorized by S, M, or L and is a set price for each size. When you get a dish, they stamp the corresponding size on a sheet which is added up at the end. I dined solo so got four dishes each time. 2 M and 2 L came out to just under $25 which is a great deal! I will happily return here on my future Vegas trips.

Everytime I'm in Vegas, and I'm craving dim sum, Rio does not disappoint. This restaurant is one of my favorite place to get dim sum or to an affordable late night snack.

Even at 5:15PM on a Sunday it was packed. We made the effort to adhere to the dress code but candidly a significant portion of the guests didn't. It was split about 40/60 between attractive, well-dressed people and cutoff jorts and themed t-shirt wearing stereotypical Vegas in August tourists. The food and service was good but there are plenty of good dumpling/noodle houses in Las Vegas that don't require the extra effort to get into and park at Aria. There are many restaurants on Spring Mtn road that I believe are just as good (or better) and 25-40% less expensive. My kids love xiao long bao and it was a special ocassion so it was fine for that but didn't knock my socks off. Typical noodle house... you write the order yourself on the paper provided, server confirms it, comes back with a printed ticket, disinterested servers cross the item off the ticket as it comes in no particular order. This is fine if everyone shares (as is intended) but our one vegan participant had to wait as we all ate as we got the vegan dumplings and cold cucumber salad last of all the dishes. Not sure what the hype is for, the original may have a Michelin star, this one while very tasty is (imo) not worthy of one. Dinner for 5 was $250 with tip, not bad but probably would have been $150 or less at Xiao Long Dumplings or Shanghai Taste. We elected to go to Chinatown for Ah Boong for dessert rather than each have one little chocolate filled bao (and to fill us the rest of the way up).

The har gow wrappers had that perfect translucent delicacy -- thin enough to see through, sturdy enough to hold. The siu mai were plump and properly seasoned. The char siu bao, both baked and steamed, hit every note I was hoping for. Cart after cart brought something worth ordering, and nothing disappointed. But beyond the food, what struck me about Dim Sumlicious was the atmosphere of care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable -- a rarity in a city where restaurants can feel like they're processing customers on a conveyor belt. If you're a dim sum devotee who's been settling for "pretty good," your search is over. Dim Sumlicious is the real deal -- no asterisks, no caveats. Make a reservation, bring the whole family, and go hungry. Las Vegas finally has its yum cha moment. Don't sleep on it.
