I have been going to Tim Horton's since they opened. I have had exceptional service at several - however, I have moved to Novi about 6 months ago and have been coming to this location and the service is terrible! I have asked for coffee and bagel sandwich with egg without bacon and I have been ridiculed by the window staff - and when I confronted the individuals - I was flipped off and they slammed my food and spilled hot coffee on me. When I complained the supervisor on staff, Gary, was just as rude. I would love to go to a different Tim Horton's but this is the closest one to me for me and my son, I am fighting health issues and my son is Autistic and he won't eat anything but Timbits. No matter who I have complained to - it is blown off and the staff is worse. I have seen it when I go into the location and when I drive I go through the Drive Thru. This store needs a massive overhaul. I can't even get a bagel toasted with cream cheese without an attitude. read more

They told me $2.11 and then I pulled up and they said $3.69 because there was an up charge for cream cheese. Whatever. I get home and then this is the bagel. There is no chance this is real life lol. I love the staff at my local Tim Horton's but rarely go, especially now that I work from home. So when I heard about Timmy H's collaboration with Justin Bieber, I had an excuse to return. I ordered a mixed box of 10 Timbits but that was too much; I was dismayed by the calorie count displayed on the menu board (70-100 each). There were three flavors available: chocolate white fudge, sour cream chocolate chip, and birthday cake waffle. Since I had skipped breakfast and lunch, I gobbled two of them in a nearby parking lot and the third one later on in the evening. They were okay and did not look at all like the pictures I saw online - but this is fast food so I expected that. I think I still prefer the plain glazed ones or the powdered jelly from the regular menu. I was also disappointed that my timbiebs (renamed for this collaboration) were in the traditional box rather than special edition boxes. Absolutely awful experience. This location was supposed to be open until 7 PM. I ordered my online pickup at 3:15 PM and it said I had until 7 PM to pick it up. We arrived at about 3:25 PM to pick up the order. We pulled up to the drive-thru and the girl on the speaker told us they were closed. I tried to explain to them that I placed an order and had already paid, but they ignored me and did not respond. After waiting for a response, I decided to park and walk in through the connected Wendy's. After walking to Tim's I saw three female employees just walking around aimlessly. I walked up to the counter and explained the situation. The girl I spoke to at the register said in an extremely rude way "we're closed." I responded, "Okay, but I was able to place this order and pay for it. So if you closed early, I'll need a refund." Another employee, who I found out was the manager, rudely said "We have no control over the online system. You need to go online and talk to them." I was shocked by how disrespectful the "manager" was to a customer asking for help. Her response also makes no sense. Coming from a restaurant background, I know that at the very least the manager can see any sale the store gets and refund it if necessary. I asked the "manager" why they were closed 4 hours before they were supposed to be, and she said, "I don't have to answer your question." I swear. I cannot make that sh*t up. After a bit more debate attempting to get my money back from the store, I gave up and called customer support in my car. While talking on the phone with Tim Horton's support, I was informed that the stores are the ones who handle refunds even for online orders. This confirmed my experience in the industry and that the "manager" lied to me just to get me to leave. I was told that corporate will be reaching out to me in about a week and I should get a refund after that. She also documented the situation and reported it. I cannot believe I was essentially robbed of my money and blatantly lied to by the "manager" of the store. This was the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. The fact that the store was closed way earlier than it should be and they could not even provide a valid excuse is also absurd. I wonder how many other online orders were completely ripped off that evening. There's no way I was the only one. If the General Manager knew that their employees closed up shop early and were okay with them ignoring mobile orders and refusing refunds because of their laziness, this entire location should be fired and re-staffed. Absolutely ridiculous that anyone would be okay with customers paying for products, not getting them, and then not giving their money back. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

I worked here in 2018 and 2019. One of the worst jobs I've ever had. Saw my manager scream and cry at customers on several occasions. An old lady came in and told me she was going to bring chili to a homeless man. I said "aww that's so sweet--" and she cut me off and called me slow. I have tried to obtain food at this Tim Horton's right around dinner time on no less than seven occasions in the last year, only to be told that either their grill is down or they have decided to shut the grill down early. This store is open until 8pm. Why are they shutting the grill down at or near 5pm each day, losing a full three hours of meal orders from customers? Given that this has been happening for a year, I question whether anyone at Tim Horton's management is even aware that their stores are doing this sort of thing. I've also had this happen at another local Tim Hortons, so it's not just this store. I like their food, but their constant refusal to serve grilled food after 5pm is very off-putting. Could be a reason few people want to go there after 3pm anymore. Please look into this, Tim Horton's! You are about to lose a loyal customer! read more

The experience here was not a pleasant one. Tim Horton's coffee is a staple in our home and I visit frequently at our nearest location for my morning brew. I happened to be traveling today and stopped with my daughter for a treat, going inside to order as the drive thru was very busy. We didn't need to wait to have our order taken but the order taking process was painful. The staff member spoke so quietly, SO quietly, and I let her know she'd have to speak louder for me to understand her. I didn't have an issue understanding anyone else. The coffee I ordered was about 3/4 of the way full when I received it. Additionally, there was some confusion with our Timbit order as all the food in the display was mislabeled, so I was trying to explain that I wanted sprinkled Timbits, but the staff member didn't understand unless I used the "official" Tim Horton's name... which was incorrect so I couldn't. It took several minutes of pointing to the donuts for her to understand exactly what I needed. I knew they weren't sour cream, but didn't know to ask for "birthday cake" as the birthday cake labeled ones were elsewhere. "Sprinkled Timbits" should have sufficed. I also ordered a bagel. Plain. Not toasted. No cream cheese or butter or even cut. They were in the display case right in front of me, but instead of picking one up and handing it to me, she let the sandwich master who was swamped with drive thru orders know I needed a plain bagel. Maybe this was due to their mislabeling? So then we waited for this poor, busy guy to grab a bagel and hand it to us while she stood behind the counter waiting for more customers. I started coming to this Tim Hortons (and skipping my local/usual one) on my morning commute to work. I got sick of waiting in line for 5-7 minutes for a coffee & a bagel at my normal spot, so I decided to give a different location a try. Let me just say - this place is FAST! One morning I stopped and the line wrapped halfway around the building. I almost said "forget it" but decided to get in line when I actually saw that it was moving. Wait...it's moving?!? I'm in and out of this line in about 2-5 minutes! That might not seem like a big deal, but I swear every minute counts on my commute. Especially with all the extra traffic now that 96 is closed! Medium coffee. Jalapeno bagel w/ cream cheese. Price went up about $.10, but they ALWAYS have what I want - unlike these other reviewers complaints. Maybe Jalapeno bagels aren't in high demand? I don't know and I don't care because it works for me. Oh yeah! I always get the same lady at the drive-thru window and she is SO nice! I had a free coffee from Roll Up the Rim, and when I gave her the "coupon" she actually seemed surprised I gave it to her since nobody asked for it. Today I went back and kindly asked if they could be extra sure they put oat bc I was sick for hours yesterday. The lady rudely told me that "it couldn't have been us bc we only have oat milk". Me "huh?" You only have oat? Her: yes. We don't carry whole milk, only 2%. Me: huh?? You only carry 2%? Her: yes so it couldn't have been us that made you sick. Me: you know what? Never mind I don't want a coffee. Mind you she was EXTREMELY rude the entire exchange. This Tim Hortons location is out of popular items way too often. The last two times I have stopped by, their "ice cappe machine was down for cleaning". Why would you clean your only ice cappe machine at 2pm? Would make way more sense to clean it after the store closes. The last two times I stopped by, they were also out of most types of bagels, as well as the type of bread used for most of their sandwiches. This is another solid Timmy's in metro-Detroit. The drive through line usually moves fairly quickly, but it can be more challenging when the attached Wendy's line is crowded. Thankfully, coffee and frosties tend not to have the same high traffic times. Then we stood there another 10 minutes before leaving as the team member didn't even acknowledge that we were standing there. She kept serving drive through customers. On top of that, she rushed me and didn't give me cream and sugar, so I had to go and ask someone else. I also had to ask her for my receipt because I was on a business trip and she didn't automatically give it to me. Granted it was early in the morning and there was a rush of people, but customer service is key. Easily the worst service you will ever receive from a Tim Hortons. I have the displeasure of working near them, so they are the only one convenient enough to visit. Every single day they give me attitude at the window and rush me through the payment. The main lady that's there shoves my stuff in my face while I'm still handling the food she just gave me. Every day. God forbid you order something other than how it is on the menu, because then they will tell you to pull forward so they can keep the line moving. 20 minutes later you'll be lucky if they bring you your food. The whole staff needs to be redone because it's a group effort. The manager actually had the audacity to tell me that the sandwich I ordered was wrong because of me. I asked them the ingredients and they forgot to say there was mayo on it. So when I get to the window they ask "did you want mayo on it?" And when I said "no, nobody told me there was mayo on it" she actually said "well you didn't say no mayo so pull forward and we'll bring it out to you." So I pull forward and watch 8 cars get checked out and had to walk in the building, all of which was on my break, and they had just finished with my stuff.
