About to enjoy their cod fish and chips.

Right on the dock in Ketchikan - Timber & Tide is cooking up some tasty seafood dishes. We had their fried cod and their chicken taco and both were a flavorful bite of food. Our server was friendly and made you feel like you were royalty. The restaurant made you feel like you had transported back to a pirate's ship on the ocean yet it was clean, cosy and inviting. I had an Irish Hazelnut coffee to go and OMG it was to die for, so flavorful and robust!!

Very tasty fish sandwich with slaw, goes well with good beer and those tasty house chips. Interesting mugs, friendly staff and a clean bathroom. Right on the water, and we saw a bald eagle sitting on a light post when we left!

Awesome place! Chill vibe with friendly staff. The girl who took our order gave honest recommendations based on our preferences. The seafood chowder was hot and hearty. Crab was fresh and delicious! The tacos were all well made and filled to the top! The only downside was that they were out of quite a few beers but I imagine that could be common given the volume of cruise ships that were in port. Overall we were super happy and will definitely recommend them.

Even though we can see and walk back to our boat for our free lunch, I wanted to support local and eat at one of the eateries in Ketchikan before boarding, after we got back from our excursion. When in Alaska, it is halibut everything for me, so we got both the halibut fish and chips and the halibut tacos. The upcharge for the mango salsa wasn't really worth it considering it is just a small solo cup of it, but other than that, both options were tasty. The tacos had some heat to it, so I ate more of the halibut fish n chips. The staff is so friendly and super patient as the guest before us had so many questions about a simple drink and the cashier was such a saint and so patient with her.

Everything was really good, but it was a bit overpriced. I know it's Alaska and said things are rare there, but I thought something such as a specialty like this would've been a little cheaper. I also know that this was a crazy busy cruise port so I get why it might be pricey. Taste wise it was good but honestly, I think I've had similar in places such as New york or la. A cute little shop to grab a bite on land if you're near!

We met Travis the owner in 2024 when he was our waiter at a restaurant in Utah and he told us his dream of opening his own restaurant in Ketchikan Alaska! So we booked a cruise to try his restaurant and I got the scallop, shrimp and halibut tacos. They were AMAZING! The seafood chowder was the bomb too. Great spot to dine!!! 5 for sure!!!

Best fish & chips I've ever had! The fish is so thick and juicy with the perfect texture. I also ordered the seafood chowder & fish tacos; AMAZING! Before I left, I grabbed a pistachio & vanilla coffee to-go, it was the best coffee I've had so far in Alaska. The people were so so friendly, clean environment and good vibes.

Food was amazing! I had the salmon tacos with chipotle sauce and definitely the best salmon taco I have ever had had. The food was delicious and the service was amazing.

Solid restaurant in an ideal location along the main boardwalk downtown. I got the halibut fish and chips, which was cooked well and came with a lot of chips on the side. Solid spot to stop in on if you're doing some shopping in downtown Ketchikan.

While on a cruise to the beautiful island of Ketchikan, Alaska, a great friend treated us to lunch at Timber and Tide. My wife ordered the seafood chowder and I went with the classic cod fish and chips. Living and working part-time on the California coast, we've had our fair share of seafood--but this meal was truly memorable. I'd rate my fish and chips an A+. The portions were just right, the flavor was fresh, and the food came out quickly even though the restaurant was busy. The atmosphere was simple, clean, and welcoming. Chef Collin prepared the food perfectly, and Dalton, who took our order, was patient, professional, and very kind while waiting for my indecisive wife to decide. We will definitely be back to Timber and Tide in the future. If you're in Ketchikan and craving great seafood, this spot is a must!

Delicious scallop tacos! Our host made amazing white chocolate raspberry coffee. We included the salmon tacos and halibut tacos and the best seafood chowder in town! The gift shop sold tote bags, shirts, mugs and hatches! Had to get one! read more

Literally the BEST halibut and chips I've ever had. Halibut is perfectly breaded and the chips/fries were just as good as the halibut. They are both amazing. We also had the seafood chowder and it was so good. We were told it is made 100% from scratch. You can definitely taste the freshness. read more

Stopped here to grab some tacos to go before we headed back to the ship. WOW! These tacos were so good I wish I would've gotten more. We shared a scallop taco and halibut taco. The halibut was by far my favorite and it tasted so fresh. Anyone wanting a delicious fish taco head here! read more

I LOVE this place!!!! I was a little nervous coming in because the prices are a bit higher, but aren't they everywhere??? So I decided to get two grilled chicken tacos for $22. Let me tell you, BLOWN AWAY. Spectacular flavor, textures and size. I can easily put food down so I was nervous two wasn't enough, but i was perfect. It came with some chips, which were fine chips. One friend of mine got halibut tacos and he said they were good. Another group of friends got the halibut and chips and were blown away and were thanking me for taking them to this place, they also loved the food and the vibe!! Not only was the food good but the coffee???? SOOOOO YUMMY!! In the end, is it pricey? Sure, but that's life in 2025, every time i've come here i'm extremely happy with the way the food tastes, the service, and the drinks!! I hope a long future is ahead for Timber & Tide!! read more

The place was decorated nice. You order before you sit down. I ordered the halibut tacos it was not bad but it could be better. The sauce they put in the taco felt like it wasn't enough for the taco since the halibut was a little dry. I would've liked if they gave at least one lime per taco I only got one small slice of lime for my 2 tacos. It should be at least one lime per taco. They give you chips and salsa but don't expect much. It comes in these little sauce cups. Too much chips for little salsa they give. The creme brûlée donut I would not recommend it. I was disappointed. It is pricey. I believe one taco is $15, 2 I think is $28 if you get 3 it is $39. read more

The food was absolutely delicious! Fun music and decor. Staff were friendly and helpful and making sure the guests were enjoying their food. If I'm in Ketchikan again, I would be back. Blackened salmon tacos were to die for. Shredded beef was also very good, loved the cheese inside. read more

Best seafood chowder we've ever had and we get chowder anytime it's on a menu. Salmon taco was excellent and I can't believe I to come to Alaska for the best carnitas taco I've ever had. Everything was so tasty. Service was very pleasant. We would highly recommend view is good also. read more

this was our first stop on our princess cruise and this was right by our ship. Highly recommend that you try it out! We had the chowder, blackened sogeye and halibut tacos. Absolutely the best tacos and chowder, hands down!! Very quick service and friendly staff! they even went out of their way to get my husband a biscuit before we got back on the ship! It was delicious!!! if we ever come back to Ketchikan , we will definitely come back here! read more

This is where we go from a 3-4 star review to a 1-2 star review. I'm being nice. When the check came they added a 20 percent auto gratuity. I usually do 20% but when it's a single combo plate and the majority of the plate is one thawed crab leg.... Come on , really!!! Do an auto 15% maybe 18% with the option of adding more. That's the standard. What got me was a 4% service fee. I asked what it was for and the employee told me ," we don't get that, I guess it's for the kitchen staff or the owner, I don't really know". Why am I paying a service fee for .... Well nothing! (Crab legs are about $100 each which is the average price ) so $4 per crab leg goes to the evil greedy owner. So $4x 8 legs on a crab = about $32 per crab just because . Tax... expected and the law. But a credit card fee.... Even for debit (against the law). Not looking so good for the owner. So to sum it up Food was good, nothing to celebrate about. I actually can't complain about the service , it was good. But the extra fees are where the ship sinks. Stop taking advantage of tourists and your restaurant won't be empty, and it was very empty when I was there. Should have seen it as a red flag . Do better!!!

Timber & Tide is an absolute gem in Ketchikan! The seafood is incredibly fresh and made to order, and you can really taste the quality. The tacos were out of this world, and the atmosphere? What a fantastic experience at Timber & Tide! From the fresh, made-to-order seafood to the cozy, community-focused decor, this place has it all.
