Super fun! An easy ride for all ages. Plan to get wetttttttt lol The seating is tight for adults. I barely fit inside with my thick thighs lol I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get out of the log lol Super fun and rocky! You start by going up, up, up. You get plenty of momentum to get you through the whole ride. There's one really big drop at the end! It's a huuuuuge drop lol And you definitely get wet lol Make sure to smile! There's a camera at the top lol

This ride is the best one here at Knotts Berry farm I rode This 84 times How do I Know? I ride it every single time but when it's closed I get frustrated because I love the Halloween theme it's super scary i love the music I sing it every time it's a very fun ride

I hate this ride almost all the log "boat's" have holes in the bottom that allow the boat to flood. Somtimes you can literally step in a foot of water when getting on. It's so terrible, nobody likes s soggy shoes! And they will time to time use a machine to draw water if it gets too deep inside the boat. The people guiding the rides have the worst attitudes.

Yelp challenge. 2015. 237/365 2 of my biggest fears....Water and Heights meshed together here at The Timber Mountain Log Ride. I am talking anxiety the entire time till we meet the final drop. Chances are you won't get soaked on this ride. If you want to get wet, ride the rapids. You may get a little sprinkle. It must of been about 20 years since Ive been on this ride. Being in the front gives you a perfect view of the ride. That's if you keep your eyes open. Lots of cool props along the way, you won't want to miss. This ride brings back fond memories growing up as a kid. After a hot day at Knotts the parents would drag us on this ride to cool down. Back then we never got those cool little pictures. #720

The entrance sign to a legendary flume attraction!

SAWIN' LOGS Armed with the knowledge that TMLR is considered Knotts Berry Farm's most popular attraction, it STILL managed to exceed my expectations and give me wood! The eight story Timber Mountain is a giant show building that's jam packed with animatronic scenes and flume channels. From start to finish, the ride is themed like a lumber camp in the late 1800's and has tons of amusing references from that era. Dancing girls, menacing wolves, crazed prospectors, and every other western cliche you can think of make appearances during the ride. Bud Hurlbut designed this ride for Walter Knott nearly five decades ago, costing the park $3.5M and setting the stage for many oft-imitated but never duplicated log flumes. The inaugural ride on 7/11/69 included the Duke himself, John Wayne! Just imagining the iconic 6'4" cowboy wedged into one of these logs and getting drenched at the splashdown finale puts a smile on my face :) Besides the 42ft drop at the end, there's also a nice surprise descent into darkness around the halfway point. The majority of the layout is actually quite zippy; the log moves through the channel at a fast pace and almost doesn't allow enough time for riders to enjoy the amazing set pieces. There's things on both sides, so you really have to be alert to catch all the stuff going on! Sitting in the very front of the boat, I only got slightly splashed at the end which seemed typical for the ride. I understand that Knotts can vary the water level depending on the season, so during summer months you're more likely to get soaked. This legendary attraction is responsible for starting the 'flume boom' and is thought to be one of the very best in its category. In my opinion it's right up there with Disney's Splash Mountain (either location), Universal's Dudley Do-Right Ripsaw Falls, Busch Garden's Escape From Pompeii and Phantasialand's Chiappas in terms of quality and attention to detail. It wouldn't be much of a stretch for me to say that Timber Mountain Log Ride is the best flume attraction in the country. You owe it to yourself to ride this on a trip to the park, no matter what the wait.

Date of most recent visit: August 20, 2016 The Timber Mountain Log Ride has always been one of my favorite rides at Knott's Berry Farm, despite the 30-45 minute wait times in line. Basically, you hop into a log and meander your way through a nineteenth-century logging camp, complete with loggers and various flora and fauna. Not that scary at all (even if the animatronic figures unintentionally look a bit creepy...) - and the best part is the drop at the end, which isn't as steep as Splash Mountain in Disneyland, but still thrilling just the same. You won't even get soaked! Pretty relaxing ride overall, and don't forget to smile as you go down that drop; the camera gets a pic (but unlike Splash Mountain, the drop ends all too quickly)!

    Beautiful!!

Always a favorite & a staple to every Knotts visit! 12/7/18 Today was super fun they must have just filled the ride with water because it was super quick and a bit more thrilling than normal. Loved it! It's a must during your visit

A visit to Knott's Berry Farm wouldn't be complete without a ride on one of the oldest flume log rides in the United States. I've ridden this classic Knott's ride, originally known as "Calico Log Ride" dozens of times in the past. John Wayne and his son took the inaugural ride on the day it was launched on July 11, 1969. His movie "True Grit" opened one month before. Eventually winning him his Oscar for best actor. Also in 1969, to put things in context. - The cost of a gallon of gas was 35 cents. - Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon. - The Brady Bunch TV show premiered. - Led Zeppelin released their first album The Timber Mountain Log Ride recently went through a renovation with a multimillion dollar overhaul. The work included upgrades to all the figures and sets of the 19th century lumberjack camp. Today, my daughter and I rode it together, my first time in maybe ten years. It's still a fun, fast paced entertaining thrill ride with a spunky 42-foot free fall at the end. P.S. I'm writing this review in the waiting room of my Orthopedic doctors office to have my back checked. :)

One of the best characters on the ride!

This is one of my favorite rides @ Knotts over the past year they have redone the inside of this adding new characters and upgrading the mining theme a bit! My favorite thing about this ride has to be the sensors that say "Sit Down" they are before the first drop and the big drop you can set them off by putting your hands in the air before you go down it always creates a good laugh wile on the ride! The line for this ride often moves pretty quick so you won't spend a great deal of time waiting with that said go enjoy one of the best rides in the park!

It's a fun time, less crowded than Disneyland, much simpler than Disneyland, and a lot of fun! I've got three kids under the age of 12, and there's a lot for them to do in Camp Snoopy. There are some solid deals on food and drinks too, and while the meals are nothing to write home about for the most part, some other places have some really good portion sizes. Half-chicken meal at the Boardwalk is a good deal. Parking is a bit steep. I'm surprised that it was $40 even in the general parking lot. But the walk to the park is short, so I like the convenience (ahem, Disneyland). Is it as immersive as Disneyland? No. Is the app good? Not really. (lol for example it said the log ride wait was 15 minutes but actually it took an HOUR). Is the storytelling and music as good as Disney? Heck no. But it's a LOT of fun, the roller coasters slap (esp. Ghost Rider) and it's hecka cheaper, especially if you buy an annual pass. As I mentioned before, Camp Snoopy is brilliant for kids under the age of 10, and my 11-year-old still has some fun on the rides there. Highlights include the spinning swing rides, Sally's Big Swing, and the Snoopy Roller Coaster. The Wild West Ambience is on point. Bandits still rob your train mid-ride, and the live banjo music at the barbecue joint in Old Town was a nice touch! All in all, a solid good time. Went on a Monday in mid-August and the lines weren't too bad (except that log ride lol)

Parking is free, and there are plenty of spaces when their isn't other events or services going on at the same location. My first visit was for a family kid's birthday party, and we were all pleasantly surprised. The party itself was organized well and had its own area inside one of the buildings. We had our own area decorated (you can bring your own decorations, too), and the food was fantastic for amusement park food. We had pizza, turkey sandwiches, chicken tenders, soda, and punch. We had about an hour for lunch before being released to enjoy the rest of the park. Many of the staff were kind during the party and throughout the park and made the experience that much nicer. The variety of rides here will please most young kids and adults. There are a couple of roller coasters, a carousel, a train that circles once around the park, and many more rides. I'm surprised how much they fit into the park space. There is also an arcade and a petting zoo. For food in the park, you have the standard burgers, pizza, tenders, pretzels, churros, ICEE, ice cream, and more. The prices aren't too bad either. Plenty of snacks and merch to purchase, too. There are also plenty of places to sit and relax, with shaded areas. Especially needed during a warm SoCal day. It was the first time for many guests in our party, and everyone enjoyed the experience. Many of the kids want to go back and have their birthday parties here next year, too.

The not so great: Water park is dirty. Hairs all over the floor like chunks of hairs everywhere not just a strand here and there. I was disgusted walking around in my bare feet. Also, during our time someone pooped in the wave pool (like adult size). I get that this is not the hotel's fault but disgusting watching it being taken care of in a biohazard bag and the thought of: is this water recycling throughout the whole park? We left right after that (5pm) so I'm not sure when it was opened back up but I know It was back up and running the next morning. Also, we had a cabana rented. My husband thought it would be nice to be near the bathrooms, but the smell coming from the restroom was horrendous so we luckily were able to move to a new cabana. If it had been any busier, we would've had to stay there or hopefully get a refund. I agree with another review, asking for a dress code because there were some outfits that were extremely inappropriate for such a family and kid friendly establishment. It was so rude and uncomfortable for me and my children! Hotel is under construction as well so parts of both lobby areas are blocked off.
