Can't believe I haven't reviewed Timber Wood before! We have been here for brunches, lunches, and dinners! Food is always so good, no matter what we get! Menu prices are typical. The vibes are woody & warm! Plenty of seating & an outdoor patio & party room! Service is always great! Highly recommend for any occasion!

Stopped by Timber's Firehouse Grill with a good friend and happened to catch restaurant week, which was a nice surprise. The special included three courses and dessert. The cheese dip with bread started things off perfectly--rich, flavorful, and honestly worth the visit on its own. I followed that with lamb chops and mashed potatoes. They were well prepared, but lamb just isn't really my thing, so I didn't love it as much as I might have. Dessert, on the other hand, was a knockout. A chocolate creation that disappeared so fast I didn't even get a photo, which says it all. The staff was awesome--attentive, warm, and made the evening feel easy and welcoming. Overall, a great stop with food highlights, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out, especially during restaurant week.

All around great spot to enjoy a meal! Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Hostess may have a been overwhelmed on a busy Friday night - she was a bit curt even with our having a reservation. Variety of seating options counter, table or bartop. Nice decor with cozy woodpiles topped by wine bottles. The food was delicious. French onion soup a bit cheesy but good. Bacon wrapped shrimp had great seasoning and sauce. The appetizer of Tuscan meatballs as an appetizer was even great as a meal (with leftovers ). Looking forward to retuening for a brunch date.

Focaccia is amazing. The gnocchi sauce had a bit too much pepper but the gnocchi itself is absolutely wonderful - a little large in size - but wonderfully made. The salmon was good. The chicken was chicken, but we're taking it home, and the mashed potatoes too, which were decently good as well. The macaroni was not my taste personally. The lemon butter cake was also fabulous - covid ruined lemon for me, but the warm cookie-like base and the berry sauce was a delicious take. They were very busy, and handled it alright. There's a cute little dynamic with all the staff.

I am excited to return at some point but my first meal there was only ok. Positives: Great calm atmosphere. A wide variety of food. Good service. Negatives: My sandwich was mushy. It had both crème fraiche and goat cheese. Texture is super important to me and this sandwich missed on that front. Back to the positive: I liked a lot of the flavors. The vegetables on the sandwich were to die for. There is a little smokiness in a lot of the dishes which makes me want to come back. Back to the negatives: Sheesh, you spend a lot here.

My husband and I were meeting for brunch and after seeing the wait time at SCBC, decided to come here instead and I'm glad we did - I didn't even know Timber had brunch, so it was a very pleasant surprise. For the table, we got an order of the focaccia and the meatballs. I got the baked Ricotta pancake. I asked our waitress if there were any potato sides (has browns, tots, etc) on the menu and she pointed out the potato rosti, so I tried that as well. I tried the focaccia with the triple creme Brie and it was delightful! The creme Brie really made it and the bread was soft and fluffy. I skipped the meatballs, but they certainly smelled great! The ricotta pancake was absolutely divine! It literally melts in your mouth, it's that tender. I was very very happy with this dish. The potato rosti was a bit of a letdown - it was like mushy hash browns and were barely seasoned. I would skip this next time. I was also disappointed by the lack of options for savory vegetarian brunch options, but all that said, I would definitely come back for the pancake alone!

Well this was fun! Saw randomly that this restaurant offers half price kids meals (+ a happy hour menu from 2- close) on Sunday only and decided to try it out. It was SO delish. My son crushed his hamburger pizza and the other one had his first wagyu burger. I tried the tomato sauce mussels which was quite a generous portion for the happy hour price. I also had a cosmo which was made deliciously. Service was prompt and friendly too! We will definitely be back.

This place is so cozy and fun. I love coming here for a nice dinner out or brunch with the girls. They offer bottomless mimosas, bottomless bloody Mary's, and bottomless brunch cocktails- all for $15 each (penny refills). This is such a good deal!! The food is always amazing. I think most everything is cooked in the wood fire oven. They can make a decent amount of items gluten free. The tomato Benedict gluten free was amazing; they have the best gluten free bun that's soft, doesn't crumble or turn soggy. The service was a bit slow, but the manager was very helpful. It's in a great little plaza with plenty of parking and shopping.

Fantastic appetizers and wood grilled fare. The service is attentive and friendly. The classy ambiance is social with a variety of good seats. I went with my young adult daughter who enjoyed the mussels for an appetizer. The steaks we had for an entree were of course wood grilled and well seasoned. Definitely a treat, this is a great restaurant for apps and cocktails or certainly a great dinner. I would love to try the pizza next. Parking is right next to the door at a small plaza full of shops.

Food was delicious and came hot and our large group was served at the same time, drinks were strong but slow to come. Service was overall good but slow. Busy brunch morning so understandable but everything came out well and correctly so would recommend!

Was headed to a different restaurant for breakfast but they were so busy. So we walked over here and it didn't disappoint! Very good all around. The restaurant is comfortable and warm - it was a very cold day! The wood burning ovens added to the atmosphere- the smell of wood burning and the stacks of wood around the restaurant. I enjoyed the Tomato Benedict -delicious and it is served with their hash brown type potatoes- don't miss these. My friend had the biscuit skillet - I tasted it too, so good - next time for sure! Our waitress was great, she knew the place well and I would guess she has been there a while - helpful!

Is this restaurant kid friendly in the evening?

Yes! We took our teen and pre-teen kids there in the evening, and everyone felt right at home. They have a good selection of fun non-alcoholic drinks, too.

What is the price range for brunch? Is it possible to access the menu?

    Yes

How late is breakfast served on Saturday?

Brunch is from 9am to 1pm on Saturday and 9am to 2pm on Sunday. My favorite is the Benedict.

Got there a little early and was greeted by staff and told it would just be a couple more minutes. No worries got some pictures and watched the staff cook and get orders made. We got 2 pizzas and a calzone. We got a sausage and peppers and the Ducci and my wife did a build your own calzone. The pizza is great good amount of toppings but not too much, flavorful sauce, crust has a nice crisp but still has that chew you want. The calzone was fantastic, definitely 2-3 meals worth of food, filled with cheese and toppings my wife loved it and so did I the next day. The inside had multiple tables and a bar inside. Kinda unique with writings on the wall. A little lot by the ovens but love the open concept. One of my favorite pizza spots in Omaha. We will definitely be back.

Ordered carry-out from Piezon's this evening…read more You know how pizzarias sometimes give you a bogus 40-minute wait time and then when you show up, your pizza has been in the warming oven forever? Not the case at Piezon's. I arrived five minutes early, waited five minutes, and there it was. That said, my portobello fries were being boxed up when I arrived, so, I feared for the worst. Not a problem. When I got in the car, the starving occupants immediately dove in. The "fries" were hot, they were crunchy, they were delicious! I could eat these all day, but hold that ranch dressing and give me a salt packet or two. I loved these! That well-timed pizza, well, it cooled significantly in a four-mile drive home, and when we opened the box, the pizza was just a little less than inviting. This was a black olive/mushroom pizza. Lots of olives, so thumbs up to that. Razor-thin mushrooms though didn't add much to the experience. And cheese, well, I like a little pull to the bite, and that wasn't happening here. Not enough cheese? Wrong cheese? Not a lot of flavor. Crust? Also not a lot of flavor. Not a lot of crunch or chew, and the sauce is spread pretty thin. I "think" the sauce had good flavor, but if I tried this place again, I might diner in, get extra sauce, extra cheese and extra mushrooms ... that's a lot of extra just to make it basic. I did hear though, that if you dine in, they have a fantastic margarita! (The drink, not the pizza.)

Mootz isn't just the best pizza place in Omaha, it's in the running for the best Omaha restaurant…read morePERIOD! I was blown away by every aspect of Mootz. Get ready for a novel of a review! I warned you... The exterior of Mootz is basically the same as all of Countryside Village (which is probably a requirement), but the inside is a different story! The interior is all white and bright, and super clean. They really let the food and service do the talking without needing to dress the place up (which I appreciate!) The star of the show is their Acunto brick oven. It's gigantic, with white tile, and their Mootz name at the top. They had it made in Naples and it was definitely worth doing that for this amazing centerpiece of the space. And the oven is not just for looks, it puts out some of the best pizza I have ever had. I am not usually a fan of pizza crust, and only eat the main "body" of each slice, but at Mootz, even the dough and crust is flavorful and tasty! It has a salty and (super) semi-sweet flavor. It makes each slice all the better. That's just an example of how much they obviously care about the product they are producing. We got to chat with many of the staff, including Mootz himself, his dad, and others, who were all extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful. My husband and I are doing the ABCs of Omaha restaurants we haven't been to yet, and Mootz was our M pick. We didn't plan to tell them that's what we were doing, but when two people are ordering two whole pizzas, there's a little bit of explanation needed - LOL! Once they knew that was what we were doing, they made sure to help us pick the slices to try that they loved best, and based on what we were craving. What's great about Mootz is that you can order just a single slice of a certain flavor, or get a full pie of different flavored slices. Because of this, we were able to try 8 different flavors of pizza! We ordered slices of the Buffalo Chicken, Cheeseburger, Chicken Alfredo, and Jalapeño Oaxaca for one pizza, and then the second pie we did a lot of the normal pizza flavors, so slices of the Cheese, Pepperoni, Supreme, and Margherita. They were ALL fantastic (and I am not exaggerating), but our favorites were the Cheeseburger, Buffalo Chicken, Margherita, and Jalapeño Oaxaca. I'm a cheeseburger girlie and I achingly missed the Cheeseburger Pizza that Pizza Shoppe (RIP) used to have. But no more missing that flavor - the Mootz version is so great, it has satiated that craving! The Buffalo Chicken was BOMB! Not too spicy of a buffalo at all, and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. They make their own Ranch too, and the Buffalo Chicken dipped in that was perfection. (And in mentioning the house made ranch, we also had a side salad that we shared, with that ranch, and it was awesome - very well dressed and with lots of veggies!) The Jalapeño Oaxaca was a fave because I appreciated the heat that the jalapeño gave, and the crema on top giving it a creaminess that counterbalanced the spiciness. The surprise of the day was the Margherita! I normally don't order Margherita pizza just because it's not too full of toppings or flavor usually - but that's not the case at Mootz. The dough being so flavorful works wonderfully with their delicious pizza sauce, basil, and SO much cheese (parm, Romano, mozzarella). It's a lighter slice if you aren't wanting anything too heavy, but that doesn't mean it's not big on flavor! And to round out the meal, they have some awesome desserts too. We tried the tiramisu and the chocolate chip cookies. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert, but my husband on the other hand does not super enjoy it (since he's not a coffee lover). But we BOTH loved the tiramisu at Mootz! It comes in a little cup and it's almost "crumbled" (vs layered, like a normal tiramisu slice), which gives each bite a little bit of each layered flavor. Yum! The chocolate chip cookies were on point too; chewy, sweet, soft, and definitely homemade. We made a great decision to try Mootz for our M restaurant, because it was so dang amazing. I definitely recommend you go here for your next night out, immediately, right now! Do it!

I came for the Detroit-style pizza, easily the most underrated pizza style there is. If you know, you know. I ordered The Cadillac: cream cheese, cherry peppers, hot honey. On paper, it's chaos. In practice? A beautifully thought-out balance of sweet and spicy. Rich without being heavy, heat without going overboard. Someone in that kitchen gets it. And for a moment, it's flirting with greatness. Almost a perfectly executed Detroit pie... until the crust. That signature Detroit crisp--the caramelized, fried-edge crunch--is just a little undercooked. Not bad, but quickly soggy. Just missing that final snap that makes this style elite.
