The quality at Time Bistro is noticeably better than any other Vietnamese place in University District. Although slightly pricier than most places by a couple of dollars per dish, you get it right back in terms of taste and quality of ingredients. Their pho was quite flavorful and MSG free, my new go to place if I'm ever craving pho or other Vietnamese food! My only critique would be that the wider noodle used in their pho tends to be a little softer than what I would like and clumps up if you don't stir immediately when the bowl comes to the table. read more

I thought it would be just like those ordinary teriyaki rice plates but no, the rice is savory flavored which tastes really good! Together with the soup and sauce it comes with, it's a perfect plate. Wow! Just got my order from DoorDash and it was incredible! I'm really surprised because every time I've ordered pho it either leaked inside the bag, it was too cold to cook the meat and/or it's completely flavorless. This place knows their sh**, seriously. Here is what I ordered: -Vietnamese sticky wings. -Steak Pho -Grilled pork bahn mi. The chicken wings were my favorite. Super crunchy, flavorful and just the right amount of spice. I used to have a favorite at another pho place, but these take the cake. You can tell they still still be super crunchy even when they are cold. I will order again and again. The pho- seriously perfect. It's flavorful, fatty and complex. You can tell that they work hard on this broth. The only thing I didn't love was the noodles. They were a lot wider than I'm used to- which isn't bad just not my preference. The bahn mi- my 4 year old son inhaled it after I took a few bites. The bun was fresh and it was over flowing with super fresh cut veggies. Even the veggies were cut in such a great way that prevented them from falling out of the sandwich as you are eating it. The cucumbers were sliced thin lengthwise, thin sliced jalapeño and the carrots & daikon were crunchy. The meat was delicious and very flavorful, just a little fatty. Another thing I noticed was their packaging which is an odd thing to be excited about, but here is why. Nothing leaked, the broth was hot, the meat was separate from the noodles which prevented the noodles from getting soggy and kept the meat easy to pick up and toss into the broth to cook. Oh oh oh and the wrapping on the sandwich was so cute. My son thought that was pretty great. They even added cute stickers to everything which my kiddo is now wearing on his shirt. I am super impressed with this place and really looking forward to ordering again. We ordered again, Via DoorDash a few days later and it was not at all as good as the first time.
