I'm vegetarian and I love the separate veggie menu they have along with their meatless options that you can get instead of tofu, which they don't usually charge extra for! Service is incredibly fast once you place an order, and the space inside is pretty decent sized and never gets too full or crowded, so you'll always find a table. If you're looking for flavorful and authentic Vietnamese food, this is the place to go. I loved stopping by after classes for a bánh mì, and my favorites are the Combo and the Beef Bánh Mì. Whenever Seattle's cold, rainy weather had me missing home, or whenever I was craving a hot, comforting bowl of pho, this was always my go-to spot. The Beef Pho is hands down my favorite dish here and one of my favorite meals to order. I also branched out and tried their Pad Thai, and it was just as amazing. One of the reasons I love this place so much is the people. Every time I came in, I was greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. Over time, I became close with the manager because of how often I visited, and those friendly interactions made this restaurant feel even more like home. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made every visit even better. I recently brought my family here on my last day in Seattle, and they absolutely loved it. As someone who was often far from home, I'm so grateful this restaurant was close to campus. It gave me a place to enjoy my comfort food whenever I was feeling homesick, and it became one of my favorite spots in Seattle. It's just okay - classic Ave-type place that has decently-priced entrees, with relatively modest portions. The grilled pork skewers on the vermicelli bowl were straight up disappointing (and the meat was dyed red to boot - hellllo Red 40). The fried tofu was overcooked and had an odd aftertaste, probably due to old fryer oil. For the money, there are better places up and down the block. Service is friendly and efficient, which is why this is a 3 star, and not a 2, for me. I don't feel the need to come back again, however. read more

The amount of fillings gave a balance profile and the French bread wasn't too big, thick or overly toasted-- it doesn't hurt the roof of my mouth. It still had a good crunch though! This place is FANTASTIC for vegetarians and vegans. They have a whole veggie menu with veggie or vegan versions of just about everything and more than one protein choice or option too. I would come back just for that but the Thai tea, bahn mi, and egg rolls were tasty so I also liked that. I'd love to come back and try the soup. Service was good and ambiance was nice. It was delicious even though it was cold. Definitely very impressed and the broth had lots of flavor but didn't taste overly sugary/sweet or like it had a lot of MSG. Was just perfect and so delicious ! Ended up eating it so fast. I wish they gave more noodles in the to-go order. Usually I have leftovers but this was one of the few times I finished the whole bowl, maybe because it was sooo tasty or it was bit small. My friend ordered the pork chop, which I thought would be fried, but looked like a big piece of charsiu with the bone. In the past, he said he's also ordered the chicken combo bowl which he said is also very good. He also highly recommended the Ube Ice cream, but neither of us had enough room for dessert that day. Service was quick and we got our food within 15 minutes of ordering. The lemongrass chicken was tender and had a nice sweet and savory taste to it. I also enjoyed the assortment of vegetables, pickled carrot and daikon, and the fish sauce dressing. While I didn't have leftovers, the portion was definitely enough to satiate me.
