The grilled pork skewers on the vermicelli bowl were straight up disappointing (and the meat was dyed red to boot - hellllo Red 40). The fried tofu was overcooked and had an odd aftertaste, probably due to old fryer oil. For the money, there are better places up and down the block. It was delicious even though it was cold. In the past, he said he's also ordered the chicken combo bowl which he said is also very good. He also highly recommended the Ube Ice cream, but neither of us had enough room for dessert that day. Service was quick and we got our food within 15 minutes of ordering. The lemongrass chicken was tender and had a nice sweet and savory taste to it. I also enjoyed the assortment of vegetables, pickled carrot and daikon, and the fish sauce dressing. While I didn't have leftovers, the portion was definitely enough to satiate me.
