Boiling Point is a solid spot for Taiwanese-style individual hot pot. You pick your soup base, add…read moreproteins, veggies, noodles, and toppings, and it comes out bubbling at your table. The broths are flavorful, spicy options have a good kick without being overwhelming, and the milder ones are comforting. Portions are generous for the price, and the customizable setup makes it easy for groups with different spice preferences or dietary needs. Service is usually quick, and the casual atmosphere works well for a relaxed meal. It's especially nice on cooler days when you want something warm and filling. A few tips, the dining room can get busy on peak hours and weekends, and the spice levels are legit, so start milder if you're sensitive. We always return here after my daughter's long flights.

I didn't see his name, but the Asian guys with a hat and a sleeve of tattoos was quite rude and dismissive. When we asked for our fires to be put out, he made a dissatisfied face. One fire end up not being out our properly so I asked him to do it again. He made eye contact and just looked away, and ignored me completely. Then, he went straight to helping other people. We thought he'd come back after helping that customer so we waited. He never came back. Thankfully one of the female waitresses there was attentive and nice when we asked! I understand that everyone has bad days and he may have just been tired, but it honestly wasn't that busy compared to some other times and they had a lot of staff working too. I think I was more taken aback that he made eye contact with me and just completely ignored me even though we were patient. The beef bowl.. there were some obvious switches with some ingredients. But I understand, everything is getting more expensive. Just thought I'd point it out for new customers. BP is my comfort place, so this experience was a little upsetting. I hope it'll be better the next time I go back!

GEN KOREAN BBQ @ SOUTHCENTER MALL…read more Parking is super easy at this location since it's in the Southcenter Mall, with plenty of free parking available. We found a spot right out front, and it's nice that you can also walk around the mall before or after your meal since there are lots of other shops and restaurants nearby. This was my first time trying JEN Korean BBQ with my family, and I was excited since I'd heard they have several locations across the U.S. We came for dinner, which is about $35 per person for the all-you-can-eat menu, while weekday lunch is around $25 per person, making it a great value if you're looking for AYCE Korean BBQ. They have a great selection of meats, plus plenty of appetizers. The corn cheese was definitely one of my favorites and is always a must-order for me. Everything came out fresh, and there were lots of options to choose from. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to bring out refills. I also really liked the ambiance the darker interior gives the restaurant a cozy, modern feel that's perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back. If you enjoy Korean BBQ, this is a fun spot where you can cook your own food, try a variety of meats and sides, and eat as much as you want. It's a great place for groups, family dinners, or anyone craving all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ.

Service was quick and food came out hot and fresh. I ordered the regular udon Kake served in the signature Dashi broth. I added 2 additional shrimp tempura's on the side. Once you've decided, you pick up a tray, and let the kitchen staff know what main dish you want. Once it is ready, you place it on your tray and move down the line where you can pick out a selection of tempura and fun drinks before paying. After that, you grab your own utensils and find a place to sit, and when you are done eating, you clean up after yourself and put everything back. I ordered the Nikutama cold, which was very good and perfect for the summer weather. We also got the shrimp tempura and the croquette, which were both fried to perfection. I also highly recommend the Calamansi drink, as it was very delightful and refreshing! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating with lots of natural lighting, making it a great spot to grab a quick bite at the mall. All of the staff were very friendly as well, and I truly enjoyed my meal here.

My daughter ordered their Chicken Katsu plate and mine was the Kalua Pig plate. My daughter enjoyed the katsu and it was such generous portion. However I didn't enjoy my kalua pork. It had an amazing smokey aroma but the taste was nothing but just salt. The side dishes were very tasty however. At first, I was trying my best to eat it with rice but the salt in the end really got to me. Especially I have high BP, so I decided to let the lady behind the counter know. It was very nice of her to remake it but it was still very salty. By then, I didn't want to eat it anymore. She offered to remake it for the third time as the chef was feeling bad about it. I told her, it's OK. My mouth only tasted salt and I had chucked down so much water including the free drinks she offered. I was already full. My daughter tasted it and said it was OK and told me she would eat my kalua pork and I could have her leftover half of chicken katsu. Tomorrow is New Year's Eve. It will be our dinner if we can't find a restaurant open.

Sushi, hibachi, seafood, dim sum, noodles, salads, American comfort food for the unadventurous -- it's all here. And then there's the monstrous dessert island in the center, stacked with cakes, ice cream, bubble waffles, fruit, a chocolate fountain, and more things than you can reasonably justify eating in one visit. The seating area looks like it could handle a small stadium crowd, yet the flow is shockingly smooth. Even with hundreds of people inside, the buffet lines never feel chaotic -- unless lobster or crab legs appear, at which point all laws of physics and courtesy temporarily stop applying. The one real weak spot is the bathrooms. It's obvious the staff focuses their energy on flipping tables and keeping the buffet spotless, because the restrooms don't get the same attention. They're not disastrous, but they're definitely the least polished part of the experience. Large parties and celebrations are almost always happening -- sometimes several at once -- but they're impressively non‑disruptive. The place is loud, lively, and busy, but never in a way that ruins your meal.

Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Presentation was definitely there, but the flavor just didn't hit. On top of that, they were falling apart pretty easily when picked up with chopsticks, which made them a little frustrating to eat. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.
