This was such a great hidden find! I can't believe I've passed by this location so many times not knowing it was here. The service was quick and the food was even better! The ambiance of the place is actually pretty spacious so that was really nice. I will definitely come back here again and try out a different plate since the food was so well seasoned!

Yummy Kitchen is indeed yummy! This is a Korean Hawaiian fusion fast casual restaurant that offers plates and various sides for a nice, quick, and casual meal. I got the meat jun plate which is egg battered bulgogi with soy sauce dipping sauce, served with 2 scoops of rice, japchae, soy sauce potatoes, and Mac salad. There is a generous amount of meat and I enjoyed the sweetness of the bulgogi contrast with the tangy soy sauce. The rice is cooked nicely, and the soy sauce potatoes were a bit sweet while the japchae is cooked to a nice al dente. My least favorite is the Mac salad but the overall dish is very filling and delicious. When you order dine-in, they'll still serve the dish in a takeout box (I can easily not finish and save half for another meal, but it was too good to save for later) but they'll hand deliver the order to you. Water is self serve.

This is one of my go-to places. I love so many of their dishes. The staff is always so friendly.

Found this neat little Hawaiian/korean fusion restaurant by a 7-11 gas station. Cashier was very nice. Food was delicious & reasonably priced. The sides are pretty unique and tasty- I got japchae & potatoes & Mac salad with my kalua pork. Will definitely be back!

Delicious food. It's a bit far drive for me coming from graham but sooooo worth it! I always get the meat Jun plate, side order of kimchi cucumber, and a side order of jap chae. Today we added a poke bowl that was ok. Service was great, ambiance is table seating. Complimentary hot green tea is available.

Fun go to when I dont know what to eat. Yummy box has a bit of everything across the asian spectrum - more so on the Korean side with bibimbap, kalbi and kimchi fried rice. They also have loco moco! Love their lunch plates - hearty serving of meat with 3 sides and rice but some of them are pricey ($15-28!!) Their additional sides are affordable and pretty big portions so sometimes I get 1 or 2 of those to help stretch the meal into 2 portions. Small restaurant - think order-at-counter to-go type place next to a gas station. Theres usually parking right in front.

Great service and reasonable prices here. We got the meat jun plate and katsu. I'll definitely come back.

My lady showed me this place, and now I've been here four times by myself lol. My go-to is the garlic chicken wing plate. The wings have a sweet, savory garlic crunch to them. The mac salad tastes house-made, as do the kimchi salad and japchae. It comes with a lot of food for $15.99. Next time, I'll try something else since they have a variety of delicious plates. Thanks!

If you're from Hawaii and have been living up jn Washington for a while, you know one thing you're missing from home is meat jun. There are very few restaurants that serve meat jun, and Yummy Kitchen is one of them that actually has it and it's not half bad. The portion might be a little small for my liking and seems like it may be getting smaller over the years, but it definitely satisfies your cravings - it comes with mac salad, japchae, and the shoyu potato. Only had one other thing from here other than the meat jun - kimchee fried rice and that was pretty good too! Overall, I always recommend this place for meat jun!

Ordered the meat Jun plate, kalua pig plate, and the bibimbap. All good sized portions. Japchae and Mac salad were tasty and done well. Meat jun had too much breading for my preferences. Kalua pig plate was tasty but not a ton of cabbage. Service was fast but if you come close to closing (1 hour before closing) they will only allow you to do takeout. Restaurant was clean and well-kept.

    Meat Jun

Grew up on Meat Jun Korean dish in Hawaii and it was a staple!!! Excited to see a place that had this dish. The flavor was there, however the meat Jun and egg batter was soggy and floppy. Wish it was more crispy and cooked. Surprisingly the mac salad tasted like Hawaii style which was a plus!

Ambiance: 10/10 Service : 10/10 Food : 10/10 If I were to pick a poke and Korean and Hawaiian store to eat, I would go to Yummy Kitchen. Ambiance is quiet and peaceful which is very nice. It looks like a take out restaurant but you can also dine in. Service was great and friendly. Food was amazing. Never I had something like this before and this is my first time. We ordered a side of shrimp tempura, salmon poke, and one order of Chicken teriyaki and Garlic Fried chicken rice platter. Each rice platter comes with small sides (banchan = small side dishes). It comes with Mac salad, japchae, radish kimchi, sweet potatoes. Everything was 10/10000000!! Definitely will come back for more!!

You'll just have to remember that the location is part of the complex of off-white office buildings. Just look for unit# 269 right off S. 41st (you can see it from the street). Now onto the food.... I ordered the Shoyu Chicken and the Mochiko Chicken combo which comes with white rice and their Mahi Mahi Salad which was so nice and creamy. Everything was very flavorful, portion size was good and presentation was nice. The owner had just made fresh malasadas so I ordered a couple chocolate ones -- so good! Fluffy goodness! Haha! I plan to try the other flavors on my next visit! There is some seating inside but had to get back to work so took my order to go. They have two menu "binders" with photos and descriptions. Thus, we found Saimin Says, which was solid. Saimin Says is a Hawaiian eatery, serving all the classic dishes and they even featured some Guam specials. Located in a business strip, the space is on the smaller end for dining in, but they do have tables and chairs set up for such an occasion. And we did notice that most people who were here were getting takeout during the prime lunch hour on a weekday. The menu had a lot to choose from. But as soon as I saw that they had kalua pork loco moco, two of my favorite Hawaiian dishes, I had to get it. The kalua pork was tender and had a smoky flavor to it, and it was delicious on a bed of rice, topped with beef gravy and fried eggs, with that runny yolk. To balance it all out, I added some hot sauce for some kick, which was the way to go. It was a very good dish that did not disappoint. We don't often get Hawaiian food, but eating at Saimin Says made me miss it. If I'm back in the area, I'll have to try their actual namesake, the saimin, which I imagine is comfort food, like any noodle soup dish should be. Glad to have discovered this spot.

Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. Just get here, it's a place you can't pass up when you hit up Georgetown!
