Excellent service.... Daisy is super friendly, attentive and always with a smile. The dinning room is small, clean look, and tables are spacious. The owner is Lebanese and chef has been with him for over 40 years. They previously (prior to Covid)had restaurant in Hollywood ... the food is excellent quality and tastes freshly made. I have found a new go-to spot! I highly recommend.

My husband and I came here on a Wednesday night for a casual dinner and had a great meal. This restaurant appears to be newish in the Playa Del Rey neighborhood, and I wish I'd discovered it earlier. The restaurant is in a small strip mall that has a dedicated carpark. We found a spot easily at 5:30 pm that night. The owner was inside chatting with another diner when we came in. He greeted us immediately and told us to sit anywhere. He brought over water and two menus right after that. The ambiance here is simple and would make for a good place for lunch, a casual meal, or getting takeaway. For appetizers, we ordered two dips: the labne and baba ghanouj. Both were perfectly creamy and flavorsome. They came with toasted pita bread. For mains, my husband got the chicken shawarma which he really enjoyed. I took a bite and loved that it had garlic sauce inside. I got the falafel plate, which I enjoyed. Overall it was a large plate, but there were only three small falafel. I thought the quality of the food and the serving sizes were great for the price. Would highly recommend and return.

    Falafel! Delectable.

They are SOOO friendly and welcoming! Smiles and warmth. Had the whole clean and cozy little place to myself, as it was later in the evening. My server gave me a comp drink and sample bites, what great promotion! Discovered Andre Soueid for the first time on their TV and I'm all about it! The best background music ever lol. At first the menu pricing could be alittle jolting if you're just looking for a simple dish, but soon come to find out some special things come in this non-simple package. A large pack of pita bread in two textures, a bowl of delicious hummus, pickled veggies and a large Shirazi salad with lightly crisped pita croutons and perfectly tangy dressing! Yummy. All of it. Main dish was a chicken kabob, and it was good. If you're a fan of onions (which I'm not much) then this plate is for you as it's loaded with them, grilled and seasoned. I'm very picky with fowl, as it needs to be super moist and this was on the dryer side for me but I think for the average person who eats chicken breast they'd enjoy it. The rice is very flavorful, and they grill the tomatoes to perfection. Other places don't fully cook them so they're hard and bland. That garlic sauce on the side is strong but really good. Shoving those little free samples in my face really worked. Next time I'm grabbing up some falafel donuts and baklava!! Service, portion size and flavors justify your money's worth here. Highly suggest you try it!

I have ordered takeout from this place twice already. Everything is super fresh and very well seasoned. The chicken is grilled to order, which means a full one requires about a 30 minute wait but it is so worth it for how flavorful and juicy it is. Genuinely amazing chicken. Sorry for the state of the food in the photos--was so hungry I ate before I could take a picture.

This place is a 10 out of 10! Will 100% be coming since I live across the street The hummus is out of this world The falafel is baked to perfection, and the portion size is incredibly filling If you're in the area and you want to support a small business, this is for the place to come to!

We found a great little hole-in-the-wall Lebanese restaurant that serves delicious food and has friendly, welcoming service. We were biking on the beach and decided to stop for a bite, and it was a wonderful find. Will come back again

Food is STELLAR. So fresh and so YUM! The meal was so good that I literally did a dance in my seat with every bite - from the little sides to the salad to the main dish itself. Everything was excellent, even the service for my to-go order. Veggie Combo - the falafel and baba ganoush were my fave, but truly everything it came with was delicious. Star of the dish was certainly the falafel though - it was made to perfection and so heavenly with its crispy exterior and just the right texture/blend on the beans and fluffy moistness on the inside. Chicken Kabob Plate - My chicken was super fork-tender and juicy, and flavored really well. All of the sides were so yummy and complimented the chicken well. Also really loved that the pickled radish had a nice fresh crunchy texture instead of being limpy or soft like it sometimes can be at some other mediterranean joints. Rice was cooked really well and salad had the most addictive dressing that went with it. Baklava (free) - The gentleman who took my order offered me a free baklava to sample while I waited for my order. I normally don't go for baklava because I find the dessert too sugary and sweet for my liking, or too soggy in texture from being overladen with honey or orange syrup .. BUT this one gets my highest compliments of "not too sweet" and the texture was still flaky, and the nuttiness really shone through too. Really good baklava here and would actually recommend trying. Service - Really attentive, friendly and kind - even for a to-go order. GREAT food. GREAT service. Good price - yes there's an initial sticker shock cuz it does seem to be priced higher than other mediterranean restaurants, but once I received my food order I felt the quantity and quality fully justified the price point. I most certainly will be back and look forward to bringing friends, family and clients here as well.

Finding Rincón Criollo closed at 6:00, we decided to try the new Middle Eastern restaurant next door. We were happy to find another good restaurant within walking distance. The server was so kind and helpful. The indoor vibe is casual and friendly. There's also a good sized patio area with heaters. I wasn't hungry, so I didn't get to try the dishes I usually like, but what I did try was delicious. My husband's meal came with crisp and soft pita, a generous plate of pickles and olives, some of the best hummus anywhere (creamy, but with substance; thankfully, it didn't taste like cumin) and two delectable homemade falafels. The pickles were a little softer than I'm used to, but the olives were just perfect. My husband liked the chicken. He said it was juicy. The only glitch was that he got fries instead of the rice he ordered (all plates come with fries). They were crisp and had a nice kick, but we don't normally eat fries. The waiter was so nice and they were busy, so we didn't say anything. We walked, but there's free parking in the strip mall and on the street. We plan to come back soon.

This place is excellent. Our server was incredibly attentive and kind, even bringing water for our dog without us asking for it. The food is so delicious and fresh, from the ful mudammas to the hummus and tabouli - some of the best my family has had! I would advise anyone in the area to try Time Out

Bridger Symne saved my life…read more I had been losing faith in the restaurant industry for some time, so much so I began to fall into a deep, lonely, dark depression. Everywhere I ate, I would be set aside like a discarded salmon skin, or even like chopped liver some might say. I would cry after every dinner out, because the very people who fed me, did not care about me. Life was a spiral of nightmarish service, and absolute resentment for the Los Angeles dining experience. I had multiple attempts because of the life I was living, the services I was being provided. This all changed when Bridger was my server yesterday at the Bacari PDR, on June 20th 2026. A god give day I will never forget. His graceful and swift movements, his keen attention to detail, and his genuine interest in me as a customer shined through the dark clouds of ill service plaguing our city. Bridger was the most extraordinary service worker I've ever met in my life, and because of this I have new reason to live. For this, I want to say thank you Bridger, and thank you Bacari PDR for scouting such a gem as Bridger. Praise god, praise Bacari, and praise Bridger.

Al Hamra Kabob Grill is a restaurant run by a Pakistani owner, specializing in kebabs and grilled…read moremeats inspired by Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. The menu also features traditional Pakistani, Persian, and Arabic dishes, such as Beef Nihari and Haleem. After several visits, here are my thoughts on some of their grilled meats and desserts. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.
