Really enjoyed the original chicken (1/2) stuffed with rice, ground beef and mushrooms. Chose the cauliflower and eggplant (surprisingly fried and yummy) and hummus sides. The chicken is swimming in sauce (very tasty) but be warned, it's messy! Didn't love the chicken pita sandwich. The chicken itself was very dry and the hummus and banana peppers made everything soggy. (See photo). Easy free parking out front (in the street), and in the mini mall itself.

Not surprised they were voted one of the best dishes of 2023!

AMAZING Palestinian halal food!!! I grew up eating my best friend's mom's Middle Eastern (Egyptian) cooking and everything I had here reminded me of her flavorful, comforting dishes. My friends and I had no idea Jerusalem Chicken existed until we parked right in front of it to go to another restaurant. The sign and aroma wafting from the door snagged our attention. Since we were a little early for our reservation, we took a peak inside to check out what this place has. They specialize in making the juiciest chicken I have ever sunk my teeth into, along with Middle Eastern sides such as tabouleh, hummus, falafel, cauliflower salad, kubbah, sumac fries, fried eggplant, Jerusalem rice and pita. I got the Original Chicken plate to go for $21.99, which comes with a half baked chicken stuffed with rice, mushroom and ground beef with a choice of two sides. I opted for the cauliflower salad and spicy hummus. As soon as I pierced my fork into the crispy skin, juice bursted out and the meat was so tender and flavorful in an outstanding lemon garlic sauce. The cauliflower salad was mixed with garbanzo beans, zucchini and onion and was roasted and seasoned to perfection. The spicy hummus was smooth and the spiciest I've ever had aside from the spicy hummus I make. The pita bread came right out of the oven and was thick and fluffy. Not a whole lot of ambience here. It's more of a fast food set up where you order at the cash register and pick what you want by seeing what's available. So happy I stumbled upon this place and wish it was closer to me. I'd be here all the time!

Great local Palestinian halal food in LA!! I feel like this place is comparable to Sababa in Anaheim. I got the chicken shawerma pita and it was fantastic. There were plenty of seats outside and inside and the service was fast and fresh. The pita was super filled, I got everything in it and loved the chicken, spicy hummus, and the pickles. I want to come back and try the bowls as well and they actually have a ton of menu items so I'll be interesting in trying it out. Love how its Palestinian and the logo has a keffiyah on it. It has its own parking lot so parking is free, but if it gets busy I'm sure it can fill up. Came with my friends and one of them got a beef shawerma bowl and the other got the lemon garlic chicken plate and it looked really good! The only negative is that it is quite pricey

    It's nice eating outside here

Wahhh flavors with heft (the bag), they give to your taste buds and stomach. This is one of my favorite places west of Downtown or toward Inglewood. They give you a good amount of food for the price, puts fast food to shame. For $20-22, you get two sides, half a chicken with rice, bread, and choice of two sauces/dips. The stuffed chicken is very juicy and the bread absorb the juice nicely. I like the mushroom and ground beef infused with the rice inside the chicken, it taste very well together. The lemon chicken can be a bit dry when you get it near closing but it's so good that I don't mind. Very savory and tangy, it's hard to stop eating. I really like their potato salad, it's not mayo-based, but a vinaigrette-like taste with flat leaf parsley. A great palate cleanser with a light taste, it keeps every bite of chicken refreshing. The spicy hummus has a nice roasted mild spicy twist to it, highly recommended. The regular hummus is just as good, creamy and thick. The eggplant is pretty good with a deep roasted nutty flavor but it can be a bit oily (taste like olive oil so I'm not complaining). Roasted onions and potatoes is a good alternative to potato salad. They taste opposite of each other, where the roasted one tastes like a home oven-roasted side. The cauliflower fritters are great! Very tasty and goes well with their sauces. The mint drink is also very refreshing, goes well with their baklava. I like all the sides here, just down to personal preference. I would recommend getting contrasting sides like a salad/pickled one versus a roasted/fried one to balance the taste. I get this every time in near LAX or SoFi stadium, the family workers are very nice and accommodating (like letting us have both hummus). The inside is cozy but small, however it's perfect to eat right outside at the public tables (area is clean).

When my boyfriend and I were craving some Palestinian food, we took to Uber Eats to see if there were any near by, luckily there was! We both ordered the lemon + garlic chicken with rice combo with different sides, however everything was exquisite! The chicken? Juicy with the rice amount of seasoning. The rice? Happiness in every grain. The salata? Amazing. The spicy hummus? Hmm don't even get me started on the hummus. So yummy! No, seriously, soooooo freaking good! Everything on that plate had FLAVOR! If you're in the area, or if you stumble upon it online, please do yourself a favor and order from Jerusalem Chicken. You won't be disappointed :)

This place has lovely Middle Eastern food. It's located in a strip mall with ample parking. I ordered the lemon herb chicken with a chicken roll and hummus. My total was 20 dollars and I received half a chicken! It came with the 2 sides but they have a variety of sides to choose from. Chicken is bold, tender, seasoned and cooked perfectly. I love the sauces and spices used. I appreciate the flavor profile. My hummus was yum and the chicken roll was nice. It also came with rice. This meal is very filling. You can split between 2 people because they give you a lot. Service was friendly, respectful and kind. I will come again and try other things on their menu. This was definitely a win for me.

This is a great chicken spot. Hummus was delicious - try the spicy one for a real kick. Chicken perfectly cooked and seasoned. The cauliflower fritters and the dipping sauce was a perfect side, everything was a 10/10. Service was speedy even with a line and everyone was so nice!

It was my first time tasting something like this, and I was not disappointed. I'm a sucker for white saffron rice or any sort of rice plate and this, paired with the veggie medley they offer you, was a dream. The food was excellent from start to finish. Highlights included the whipped chickpea hummus, lamb kofta, Michael's Favorite Salmon, zucchini fritters, saffron rice, and an outstanding dessert course. The cocktails were creative, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully crafted. Every dish felt intentional and well executed while remaining approachable and enjoyable. What truly set Orla apart, however, was the service. Pia stopped by our table to personally ensure everything was going well and even made sure we hadn't left any belongings behind when we departed. That level of attentiveness is increasingly rare and very much appreciated. Ryan provided exceptional service throughout our dinner. We were dining with young children, and he consistently looked for ways to improve our experience. One moment that particularly stood out was when our son preferred traditional dinner rolls over the pita bread being served. Rather than simply apologizing or suggesting another menu item, Ryan and the team went out of their way to locate dinner rolls elsewhere in the property so he could have something he enjoyed. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a perfect example of hospitality done right. Another memorable touch came when the evening ocean breeze picked up during dinner on the patio. Before we even had the opportunity to ask, the hostess noticed and brought blankets for our family so we could remain comfortable and continue enjoying our meal outdoors. It was another example of the team's attentiveness and ability to anticipate guests' needs. The team was also incredibly gracious in handling special requests and making our children feel welcome throughout the meal. As parents, we appreciated that just as much as the excellent food. Many restaurants offer great cuisine. Far fewer combine great cuisine with genuine hospitality. Orla succeeds at both. The restaurant delivers a refined dining experience without ever feeling pretentious or unwelcoming, and the staff consistently demonstrated a level of care that elevated the entire evening. We left impressed not only by the quality of the food, but by the people behind it. Thank you to Pia, Ryan, the hostess team, and the entire Orla staff for making our Father's Day weekend so memorable. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Santa Monica.

Orla by Michael Mina is in the Regent hotel on Ocean in Santa Monica. It is beautiful with spectacular views - very nice hotel with a great bar and lovely restaurant. Short version is service was great and the views were excellent, but portion size was small and food was good, but low value for the extraordinarily high prices. Good creative drinks, but very small and very expensive. Food: all dishes were tasty/good but not amazing for the cost. Our expectations were quite high (which may skew this review) but for a party of five, with one drink each, some appetizers and mains and family style food, for a bill with tip around $500 - it was just far too expensive for the quality of food, etc. Good but would not return.
