We came for a late Saturday lunch and got seated right away. We couldn't choose one thing for each of us, so we ordered family style and shared everything. We ordered the Truffle Tots, Chicky Tiny Waffle, Chicken Omurice, Tiramisu French Toast with the upgrade to a complete meal with scrambled eggs and bacon, and the Stir-fried Eggplant with Pork. Our favorites were the tots (super crispy) and the french toast (not super sweet so if you're not a huge fan of sweet breakfasts, this is a solid option to share)! The Chicky Tiny Waffle was alright, but we are not huge fans of maple syrup so we'd probably order a savory fried chicken dish next time. We've never had creamy eggs than the egg on the omurice. The complete meal isn't quite worth the extra cost with two thin slices of bacon and scrambled eggs. The eggplant was good, but next time we'd order it with dinner instead of brunch. I made plans to visit my bestie who lives in Livermore. I had a small window until my next work meeting, so I suggested we grab brunch some place in the area. We've been to all the American breakfast staples, and I wanted to try to find a new restaurant I haven't been to yet. Time Thai Kitchen popped up on my search, and what intrigued me was its Asian fusion brunch menu. It was also a bonus that my friend hadn't been to the restaurant either since it was that new. Time Thai was located at at a big strip mall with ample parking. We got to the restaurant a few minutes after it opened at 10am. Although I did join their online waitlist through Yelp just to be on the safe side, we were obviously the first customers. The restaurant was cute and simple and had an appetizing food menu. They served cocktails as well. I can see it being a brunch hit, hence the waitlist. Overall service was great. Staff members were friendly and ready to assist. I appreciated that the food came out in a timely manner. As well it should have since we were the only customers at the restaurant for a majority of our time there. We ordered the truffle tots to start. My bestie got the duck eggs benedict, and I got the fried chicken omurice. We shared everything and loved it all. I especially enjoyed my fried chicken omurice, which was so savory and flavorful. The fried chicken thigh was perfectly crispy on the outside and had juicy, tender meat. I think it tasted a bit too sweet for my liking. The spicy basil fried rice didn't taste spicy at all and I probably should have asked for Thai spice. I wished the mangoes were sliced a bit thinner and that we were given forks instead of spoons. The portion of the mango sticky rice looked small but it was actually pretty fulfilling. Tried this Thai place for the first time. It was 8pm on Saturday night and it was empty. They had many to do orders on the counter ready to be picked up. We were a group of four and we ordered Shrimp pad see ew, yellow veggie tofu curry, Tom Kha soup and veggie fried rice. We told them to make the spice level medium and not too spicy. Beautiful restaurant with good customer service. Food was average I have to say as compared to other Thai restaurants. We were given water as soon as we all sat down. Soup was 9/10. We all loved it. Pad see ew was good too. We didn't like the yellow curry. It was on the sweeter side and very watery- below average. Fried rice was also just ok. I ordered the Tom Yum set and the fried chicken was the star. I was not a fan of the sticky rice that came with it as it was too hard at the bottom and overly sticky. I've had papaya salads before but this one needed a bigger kick in their sauce. It was too mellow for me. I would say you must try any dish that has their fried chicken. The chicken is super tender and juicy. The batter is light and crunchy. I also ordered the Tom Kha soup and Pumpkin curry. They both had good flavor. I'm a fan of the crab curry bomb from their Pleasanton location so I was excited to learn they were opening a Livermore location. I like the variety in the menu and the ambiance when dining in person. It seems to be a very popular lunch spot. Service is always friendly. Parking is easy and the restaurant is conveniently located near a Trader Joe's. The bear in the blanket from the kids menu is so adorable. The first time I visited, I was excited to get omurice but the fried chicken was a bit too chewy (in both the omurice and the bear in the blanket dishes). The fried chicken improved the next time we tried it. My favorite item so far has been the pla tod. Looking forward to trying other dishes in the future. read more

Not gonna lie, a lot of Thai brunch spots just look and taste the same no matter where I go. They follow the same formula and in my most recent experience at Time Thai Kitchen in Livermore, they don't do anything too unique. My experience coming here for the first time was a mixed bag. The staff didn't attend to our table much and were often talking in the back rather than serving our table. My hope was that the food would make up for that. My table ordered: - Chicken & Waffle ($20) - Duck Benedict ($22) It's Livermore and Thai brunch so the high prices are expected. I personally got myself the duck benedict with the roasted potatoes. The benedict was okay. The hollandaise was pretty good, but the duck was way too salty and also really dry. The spinach did help balance it out a little, but it would be a pass for me. The potatoes were well seasoned, but overcooked and a bit too oily for my liking. The tater tots would have been the better choice. I tried some of my mom's chicken and waffle and I wish I ordered that instead. It was significantly better than the duck benedict. The waffle was soft and I really like the batter they use for it. The fried chicken was well seasoned and had a good amount of flavor. It wasn't super crispy, but it was moist and compliments the waffles well. The assortment of fruit is just there for looks and don't do much for me. Personally I'm so-so on coming back here, but I would still say it is worth trying it here for the first time as others have had different experiences. read more

I visited earlier today with my family for dinner, and it was pretty disappointing. I've been to the Pleasanton location a couple of times, and I've had much better experiences there. I understand wanting to expand the business, but if the expansion means the staff can't keep up and the quality of service and food declines, then it takes away from what made the restaurant good in the first place. When we first walked in, there was no one available to greet us. Both waitresses were busy, so we waited near the host stand for a while. Eventually, one of the waitresses came over and asked how many people were in our party, but then walked away without saying anything else. We just stood there waiting until a little later, the waitress came back and placed menus on a table without saying anything to us... again. My family and I weren't sure if the table was meant for us, but we didn't want to assume and cause any trouble. After waiting even longer, the waitress finally told us, "That's your seat," and walked away. The wait for the food was also pretty long, we didn't order much but it was pretty busy so it's understandable. The fried rice was good, but the cashew nut pork and pad thai was extremely salty. The mango sticky rice was okay, but the portion was quite small considering it costs about as much as an entrée. Overall, I'm not sure if I'll be back to this location. I hope they're able to improve the service and consistency because the they do have potential. read more

I'm a frequent patron of Time Thai in Pleasanton, and wanted to check out their brunch selection at the new Livermore location. This new store is more spacious with beautiful decor. We went around noon on the weekend and didn't have to wait. The menu basically has the same options as the Pleasanton location, with additional breakfast items and cocktails. We found that they re-used the same ingredients and flavors from their regular menu for their brunch menu, which I thought was very smart. For example, the fried fish egg benedict has the same fried fish/flavor profile from the pla tod, which is their fried fish rice plate. The mini chicky waffle, which is the appetizer version of the chicken and waffles entree, uses the fried chicken from their good old special fried chicken. We enjoyed everything! * Fried fish benedict: although this was interesting, we're going to stick with the pla tod in the future, since we thought the fish goes better with rice. * Mini chicky waffles: we really loved this one! The waffles was bite size with perfect texture, though it could have been a bit less sweet. * Duck curry: good as usual, highly recommend. * Thai tea: tasted a bit off compared to usual and had a faint artificial taste. They were only 2 ladies working and all the tables were occupied. They took sometime to take our order. We ordered chicken Satay, curry noodles chicken and thai fried rice. Satay is a thinly sliced chicken pieces grilled, my sons were not happy as it didn't come with sticks. But the chicken tasted good. The curry noodles was ok, the curry was way less for 18$. This was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. I made a reservation in advance, but when I arrived, there was no proper table available. The server gave us a very small table, which I accepted without complaint. Later, when the food didn't fit on the table, I politely asked for a chair to place some items. To my surprise, the female server rolled her eyes and showed a terrible attitude. I calmly explained that we had made a reservation but didn't get a suitable table. Instead of helping, she kept repeating, "I gave you a small table, you can either take it or wait," with a rude tone and expression. She rolled her eyes at the customer multiple times, which was absolutely unbelievable and unprofessional. Throughout the entire interaction, she never apologized or tried to make things better. Her attitude was so bad that it honestly made me feel like she might spit in my food. I've never experienced such poor service at a restaurant. This is a brunch place that has a menu can satisfy any cravings whether it's American breakfast with Benedict or waffles, Asian style rice or even spaghettis. It's soft opening today but everything runs smoothly. We were able to make a reservation and sit in right away. Food came fast and presentation was nice. We ordered Thai coffee and Thai tea without ice. They charged $0.20 more for no ice!!! I wish they told us in advance. My friend had ice in her ice tea last time and said it was very bland and diluted! The coffee was very sweet so it's ok to have ice in it. We also got the chicken omurice. The chicken was nice and juicy. The egg was soft but the rice was nothing special, it's tasted like soy sauce fried rice, couldn't taste the garlic. The portion was quite small for the price. The Caribbean pasta was very good, it's a mild spicy and flavorful. But again, very small portion. The shrimps were not deveined. Overall, it was ok. I stumbled in after my eye doctor appointment across the street at Stanford. The LOVELY waitress helped me choose my favorite food, ever, Khao Soi (under SPECIALS on the menu), and I was there a while so I order 3 Thai Ice Teas. I literally couldn't see things because I had done some tests at Stanford, across the street. This is literally the BEST Khao Soi in the SFBA, maybe anywhere. I chose to get it with tofu, but here's the thing in case you don't like tofu...it's cut into thin triangles ever-so-slightly thicker than a dorito, and honestly I think they were some kind of chips in there, but they were thin, spongey tofu triangles and they were delicious! The Khao Soi was also so flavorful & great, as it should be and as you expect, and not overly a ton of vegetables in it like most restaurants that do this dish usually do, ie, without care, dump a bunch in. Nope, this was great, small corn, broccoli, chopped into bite sized bits. At most Thai restaurants when you get the "tofu" option the tofu is cut hugely, as if it were thick paneer, and in squares, and just awful, the was THIS RESTAURANT did it was with, as I stated earlier, with care for the patrons, and the noodles were superb, and just right. I don't live near here but this was absolutely the best Khoi Soi in the entire SFBA, probably beyond. read more
