It was my good luck that I spotted Tim's Treads on the way to the car dealer nearby. I knew I wasn't *actually* going to get my tire fixed AT the dealer! Fortunately Tim's Treads IS open during the Coronavirus Pandemic! Tim and his buddy are the nicest, most honest guys around. They eagerly dropped everything to help me out. My tire had been low and it was a mystery why the light kept coming on. Quick-as-a-flash, they had the wheel off and were rolling the wheel in a huge tank of water to find the leak. They were very meticulous and went over it a few times. Finding nothing and putting the wheel back on. And get this...they weren't even going to charge me! No way!! I insisted on paying them! These guys NEED to remain in business. We have to support the wonderful, honest and hard-working small businesses! I will be returning soon to get two new front tires as I know I probably have a slow leak. I noticed that Tim's Treads has a solid 5 star review out of a ton of reviewers. Tim's been my tire guy since... possibly the 1990s! My last visit was for yet another patch in my runflats. He told me to keep an eye on my 8-year old tires. I went in a couple months later and we agreed that it's time for a new set. This time, he was able to chase down tires for my "old" 2006 BMW, got them in overnight, installed the next day in under an hour. Truthfully, this is one of the few automotive repair places I feel confident going to without my husband. Saturdays OPEN (by appointment only!) The friendly guy who answers the phone, who runs to the computer then runs back to the garage to install the tires is, in fact, Tim. Clearly less corporate than the other joint down the road, he also gives way better estimates and judging by all the soccer photos is a good family man. My family takes all our cars here, some new others very (very) old. Oh yeah and he never oversells with a "I can't let you leave here without a new blah blah blah" pitch. All four of my tires were old with terrible tread, and one was regularly leaking air. With my fear of breaking the bank and my glorious power of procrastination, I stupidly just stopped at the gas station to fill it with air whenever it got low instead of getting it fixed (very dangerous). Finally a friend recommended Tim's. I called him, he researched the tires, gave me the price, even found a way to save me money with a different tire model that still worked for my car. That afternoon I dropped my potential death machine off at 3:00pm, went back to work, and returned for it at 5:00pm. EASY. No fuss, no muss; quick and convenient just how I like it. I called Tim's treads since I had a slow leak that was not going away anytime soon. Tim said just to stop in and they would see what was wrong, so I did. They put my car right in and I waited in the lobby with my kiddo for about 15 minutes. The lobby is clean, has lots of reading material and toys for the kids (yay no tire pile to play in!) plus coffee and a microwave if you have food to heat up. A few other customers came in while I was waiting and Tim quoted a price for a customer for tires and was honest and seemed to give the guy a good deal. My coworker told me about Tim's Treads, so I decided to do a little research. Tim & crew at Tim's Treads are truly outstanding! These other postings were spot on. He truly is golden! Here's my story: My BMW 330i needed new run flat tires, which are not cheap & a pain to find the right people to install. The dealership wanted an arm , a leg, & my first born. After extensive research, I wanted some Michelin PS2 ZP which is a relatively new tire and apparently hard to find. I checked over a dozen places from WheelWorks, Big -O, Sears, CostCo, & some local shops. People were either clueless, didn't have the right eqpt. to install these, didn't know Michelin made these, or were just plain too expensive. The only place that was knowledgeable and had them in stock was tirerack.com and they were the lowest price --- UNTIL I talked to TIM'S TREADs. Tim's prices were extremely competitive to tirerack.com, but he had access to the tires within hours (tirerack.com was a 2 day delivery at best). So, I called Tim this morning, he got the tires by this afternoon, I drove up from Pacifica and he installed them while I waited (less than half hour) and was kind enough to let me watch the process and explain to me what he was doing. He's been installing tires for the nearby BMW dealership for years. If the dealership can trust him, so can you! I will be bringing the wife's SUV to Tim's Treads & will definitely refer all family & friends to him too. I can't say enough good things about these guys. After reading the reviews, I decided to give them a try. He answered the phone personally. I called in the morning and he had me come in immediately. Quoted me a very reasonable price to replace 4 tires. I came in and they went to work right away. I was prepared to walk home and come back a few hours later. However they were so fast they were done in 1/2 hour (maybe less). All in all I was away and back in under an hour. Everyone was nice and I had a great experience. This will now be the only tire shop I go to. The first thing you need to know is the tire prices are the best you will find in this area, including Diamond Tire. My paticular experience was Diamond and Toscalito tire quoted $93 above what Tim's Treads quoted. With such a deal I thought there was going to be a catch on service or hidden fees, but it turns out it's the best service I've had on tires. They opened up shop early on a Saturday morning (8am) in order to get me on the road for a road trip that same day. Pros: - Prices are unbeatable - Service was quick! Granted I was the only one there - but it took 28 minutes from pulling up to pulling away. - Friendliness and honesty run strong here Cons: - I have none! I don't need new tires up front fro about 10k more miles, but given the experience I'd probably come back to have them done sooner. read more

My husband and I knew we needed new tires for our Jeep Grand Cherokee so I called the shop to make an appointment a couple weeks before we were heading out on a family camping trip. Tim (the owner) was very courteous and asked us what we generally used our vehicle for in order to suggest / order the appropriate tires. Wow, what a concept... asking the customer for information so they can provide good service! I like it! Since we also have a small child, safety is very important to us. We wanted the right tires for the job. We told Tim that we use our vehicle for camping, driving on BLM land, driving in the snow, and as our general run around vehicle. This helped him suggest an appropriate set at a reasonable price. I have suggested Tim's Treads to parents in my mothers' club and will continue to do so. I found Tim and his staff fun and friendly and most importantly, very knowledgeable. I am happy to support a local family-run and owned business. I had some tire problems of my own, so went to Tim, and he was fast, cheaper than anyone, and wow, everyone there is really nice. Cain's is the big local place, and they are so rude, you have no idea. Tim is a doll. The shop is a little out of the way, it's over near Home Depot, but totally worth checking out.
