The only thing good about this place is the location. I give them no later than spring 2024 to be out of business with a new tenant in place. We sat down outside on the patio and things started out good. Then it took forever for us to get our order taken and then at least an hour for us to finally get our food. The food was so terrible. When we got there we noticed outrageous pricing on a super small portion of food. They have fine dining pricing for a sports bar type restaurant. The food had no flavor and tasted nasty. I got the turkey avocado wrap and it literally had 1 slice of deli turkey meat. My wife got the nachos and there were just chips with about 1/10 of the plate with topping. At the end of our terrible experience we told the server about the nachos lacking toppings and she told her manager. The manager came over and said she would comp the nachos. Moments later, the manager came over and sat down in front of me and asked why I was taking pictures and videos earlier. I told her because I was not with my wife at the time and I was trying to convince them to drive up to Tin Cup and have dinner because it looked cool inside. Then the manager said I made her staff uncomfortable by doing that. She got super aggressive and asked again repeatedly why I was taking footage. Eventually I realized she was accusing me of something for no apparent reason. We paid our bill and I told her we would never be back, that I would write a 1 star review, I would tell everyone I come in contact with how terrible this place was and that she really did mess with the wrong patron who writes reviews all the time. In short, the is like eating hospital food in a sports bar. There are a bunch of teenage girls working there and on their phones. I saw at least 5 employees on there phones. 3 were on the bottom floor when we walked in, one was on the deck on the second floor and multiple girls at the front desk were using their phone. The manager should be fired immediately, my in-laws should be refunded 100% of what they paid for our dinner and then the restaurant should just wait around until they are closed down next spring. Trust me I'm a Yelp Elite reviewer for 5+ years, I have been a fine dining server at the highest caliber James Beard & Michelin star restaurants and also managed many successful restaurants. This place is nasty and I hope Cumming City Center takes notice and detaches this restaurant from the great development they've created and the great putting course. So terrible! From personal experience and also personal opinion - Extremely high turnover rate for servers, host, and management due to the general manager and his wife, who made working at this place a toxic work environment, poor scheduling practices, missed paychecks, zero communication, and condescending attitudes. My first visit to Tin Cup Grill will probably be my last. I ordered the Charcuterie board and it was a disaster. Most of the cheeses were as hard as can be and they were all the rind. All the dips were so spicy they were almost inedible. Blue cheese is supposed to be soft and creamy. They were hard as well. I've never had blue cheese like this before. I never tried an entrée as I was a little afraid to fork over that kind of money after my experience with a starter. read more

Wife and I did dinner here before this weekend's Fri night free Cumming City Center concert. We enjoyed the meal and waitress was awsome. I had the NY Strip on a stone with roasted Brussels. Both were good. I read a few reviews where they complained about no "steak on stone" instructions. Okay, if you are a dude and can't figure out what to do when a steak is placed in front of you, sorry, but I'm going to have to confiscate one of your man cards...LOL It isn't rocket science. They sear the meat in the kitchen, place it on the 800-degree stone, and you carve off a slice or two, flip a few times on the stone until the bite is cooked to your definition of perfection (Med Rare). That said, the waitress did ask if I had any questions when it arrived and told her no need (although she had started explaining as I interrupted her). Went for desert and chose the peanut butter cake. She explained that they are from a local bakery and indeed it was very good. Like most places, meat options are expensive, but that's the status quo these days. Hung out on their balcony (right outside our table's window) afterwards with some adult beverage for most of the concert. I'll give it 4 stars which is the upper side of good for me. I rarely give 5 unless it's something earth shatteringly spectacular We'd have no problem going back again. read more

We started at the bar and had some good drinks and a great charcuterie board. Unfortunately, it was all downhill after we were seated at our table. The service was friendly but our order was seriously messed up. We were a party of 4 and only one entree came out correct. A fish was brought out rare when ordered medium and my niece was given the wrong cut of beef which was also overcooked. My salmon didn't come out until everyone else was done eating and it was overcooked and bland . Also, they are skimpy with their salad dressing so we all asked for a little more. To our surprise we were all charged an extra $2 each for a little salad dressing . What made the experience even worse was they didn't seem to care. A manager never came to apologize and nothing was taken care of or offered. When you see the prices at this place you expect top notch food and service. I know 4 people that will never go back so I'll be interested to hear what other's say about this place and whether they make it. read more

Terribly slow service for a Saturday night with less than half the restaurant full. The food was decent but we ordered one beer that came out only 3/4 full and warm and then a second beer that had so much foam head that it was hard to drink. Ordered truffle fries that came out as regular fries. Asked the server to correct the order and then the manager and neither of them followed up. For the prices they are charging this restaurant needs to get it together quickly as location alone is not enough with so-so food and really slow, bad service. My husband and I decided to eat lunch here and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by the owner and she was so kind and helpful as she sat us. The restaurant decor is beautifully done and we enjoyed the beautiful aesthetic as we dined. We started with the Fried Green Tomato appetizer which was delicious, for our lunch entrees my husband had a wedge salad and the octopus appetizer for his entree and I had the chicken wrap, everything was outstanding. We both ordered a cocktail and my husband was impressed with his drink he ordered another so he could see how they made it, the bartender Daniel was a wealth of knowledge and gave my husband all the tips to recreate at home. I went to Tin Cup Grille for the first time a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I ordered one of the burgers and my date ordered the steak and shrimp (surf and turf, I think?) The flavor was perfection and the steak and shrimp on the stone was a pretty neat experience. The hostess and the waitress were friendly and attentive. Great service! Very disappointing. The service is slow and the wait staff are not knowledgeable. I ordered a craft beer from their menu and it took 15 minutes for them to tell me they didn't have it. I ordered another beer and the glass was half foam. 25 minutes had elapsed before I got my first drink. We had a question about the specials and waitress seemed uncertain so had to check. We ordered the NY Strip Steak, side salad, baked potato and shrimp & grits. My wife said the shrimp & grits were lukewarm and tasted floury. While I understood the steak was going to be served on a hot volcano stone, I didn't realize it was going to be raw. Yes, raw. I inquired with the waitress and waiter duo the length of time I need to cook for medium and they didn't know. You're also using the same silverware your cooking raw meat with and eating. Did you ever hear of cross-contamination? My steak was flavorful so that was the only positive. I never got the salad. Your bartenders need work too because the cocktails my wife ordered were not great and you can't even pour a beer properly. I've never got a draft beer that was half foam. read more

I'm only giving them one star because my husbands steak was good but that's where it ends. I had the oyster po-boy and I'm not sure it really had any oysters in it. It was so overcooked that it crumbled with a bite. I could taste fried batter and that's it. I sent it back and told them to take it off the bill. My girlfriend had to go get her own water. It took us over 30 minutes to get the bill which made us miss the first four songs of the concert. Bill finally comes and 20% gratuity was added on despite the poor service. As a final nail in the coffin they added $1.59 for using a credit card. So $50 for two beers and steak frites and fries. Never again! read more

id like to address my experience at the tin cup grill yesterday that was so deplorable that i felt as if i needed to write this review. I am not one to go as far as writing a review when i feel mistreated anywhere, but this felt like an exception. For starters we got at our reservation on time at 6:30 and were attended quickly the drinks came on time and everything started well. Our food came an hour later if not more and incomplete, 6/14 meals arrived but most with defects. the burger was severely undercooked, we received a prime rib sandwich that wasn't ordered, no side of potatoes with one meal, and no side of pickles either. about 30 minutes later the rest of the food came after half of the party was already done with their meals. Not to mention the food being extremely overpriced for the quality that it is. maybe 2 or 3 people at the table enjoyed their meals. When we asked for condiments some of the ketchup bottles were brought empty. during the wait we stacked them on top of each other for no longer than a minute until it was brought to our attention by the manager in his words, "if you want to continue to eat here, take that down immediately". His attitude and tone of voice were not needed for such a minor issue. We were a big party of 14 but that doesn't justify the mistreatment that was received while we there including the staring of others and attitude from the manager. A friend of mine wrote a review earlier that was removed by the management after a rude response she received back regarding our age and lack of awareness which was a fabricated impression. In their words,"...your party (consisting of 14 individuals all under or around the age of 16, with no adult present) with most of those individuals hesitant to look up from their phones to acknowledge the food was present, creating delays in service."The use of our phones during our time there was rather regular judging off of the extreme wait on the food. We responded swiftly and respectfully whenever addressed by the waiters, we never ignored them or mistreated them. Telling us that we were too occupied on our phones to see the food in front of us was exceedingly false because our food was NOT present to begin with, and to blame the delay in service on us was extremely unethical and untrue. Mentioning our age aswell, us being minors, shouldn't be a reason as to why we are not allowed to complain when we feel as if we were maltreated. Not only did we not receive an apology in the response but we were scolded in it. Nonetheless our waiters were very nice and did their jobs to the best of their abilities, but the overall service and the reply we received to our initial complaint is what ruined our experience. read more

I was well pleased with the food especially the Scott Sandwich, I highly recommend the best sandwich I've ever eaten. The service was also absolutely some of the best around from making sure everything was good to my drink never being empty. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! We went to Tin Cup on a concert night. We were seated outside fairly quickly. We asked for menus which we were told they were out of?!?! We should have left then. Not sure how you run out of menus, but we looked online. It took 10 minutes just to get water. 30 min to get 2 of our 4 drinks. The table of 6 next to us (that was seated AFTER us)received multiple drink orders, and food, and left before we received anything. Other tables received their drinks & food. We requested the manager who NEVER came. We told the waiter we wanted to pay for our 2 of 4 drinks & cancel our food order. After over an hour, he told us we were free to leave & they would comp our drinks. We should have acted on the HORRIFIC reviews & chosen somewhere else. read more
