We went to Tin Fish around 5pm for an early dinner and we were sat at a table that we didn't like near the restrooms. We had asked the manager for a different table in the dining room which was 80% empty and we were told no that those tables had reservations for them. We told the manager that we were going to be ordering just entrees no appetizers and that our dinner would not be more than 30 to 40 minutes the manager still refused to give us a table for us to enjoy our dinner with an attitude of indifference. We got up and walked out of the restaurant and we had a wonderful dinner back at our country club. We've been going there a few times it's not like we were new there. In no hurry to return. There's other seafood places in Boca Raton that we haven't tried yet hopefully we will get treated better than the way we were treated here. read more

Didn't really know what to expect visiting a seafood restaurant in a strip center. We were happily surprised to have a really solid meal. The seafood here is absolutely delicious and fresh. My wife had the whole baked branzino with their house sauce - Spectacular! I had the grilled snapper fillet and it was also fantastic. Their vinegar based coleslaw was also a hit. This is a new restaurant in our area I saw something about it in the Sun Sentinel so we decided to give it a try I love trying new restaurant I was pleasantly surprised this was a very good well run with very competent staff in the restaurant business ! we had fish and shrimp combo came with french fries and coleslaw. I had a small house salad, which was delicious comes with cranberries and almonds. also, we had a Caesar salad, which was also very Good the salmon simply grilled and it comes with one side I chose the coleslaw, which I really enjoyed. and for dessert we had the carrot cake, which was made in house very nice large piece the four of us split the serval Nicholas excellent he couldn't have been nicer. He was helpful he was informed he's the type of server that you want to serve you, and make the evening go well the acoustics are not great so very loud unfortunately it's hard to really talk. It has tablecloth very nicely appointed room, It has a bar with live music in it. ( which made it quite loud, even in the dining area ) They do have a few outdoor tables and parking area so you can park lots of spaces with other stores surrounding the restaurant Moderate to expensive large portions, even without much advertisement the place was very crowded so if you're thinking of trying it, which I highly recommend make sure that you make reservations, they're not on any of the open tables or rest as of yet so you must call directly for reservations read more

We chose Tin Fish as a destination for a birthday dinner. The staff was difficult to locate. Our dinners took a very long time to come to the table. Three dinners came to the table while the birthday girls dinner was delayed for twenty five minutes. We tried to ask what the delay was but since we couldn't locate our waiter there was no point to the effort. Finally the fourth dinner came to the table. I asked for dressing and never received it. The cost of dinner should have enabled us to eat together. The birthday cake never came out and then it came to the table in a "TO GO" bag. This was completely insulting. We were patient and respectful but we left feeling very ignored and insignificant. Very sad dinner. I spoke with the manager, our waiter, and he was rude on the phone and did not offer us and recourse on this he was just rude!!! Shame shame Tin Fish. This place has potential, but they need to work on a couple things in order to get better reviews Server was very nice professional and very welcoming. The restaurant as a whole is very loud but I just took the perspective that that's the experience they want to give. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not. Very busy please service is a bit slow. Maybe they need more servers or less tables for better experience. The food has potential shrimp Cocktail was a bit chewy just didn't taste fresh . The snapper seem to be a bit overcooked and a bit under salt. Maybe it's just my preference. The old-fashioned Was a seven out of 10. Yea! Tin Fish Boca Raton is now open! We have been making the long trek to Tin Fish Sunrise for years. This new location eliminates the long drive for us. Stopped for an early lunch Friday 08-Mar-2024. The items we normally eat in Sunrise were the same high quality expertly prepared food we enjoy. The fish sandwich is great. The lobster bisque, while a bit pricey, has a significant amount of sweet lobster meat - it is worth the price Best lobster bisque i have ever had. Their tacos are not on the Boca menu. Great new West BOCA/Delray addition. Cocktails were excellent, you know they take pride in their drinks when they make their own sour mix! Menu was perfect depending on your mood and appetite you can find fresh sushi, great soups, delicious fresh fish, handhelds, burgers and great sides and apps! Made reservations at 7:30 and was seated promptly. That's where the promptness ended. We ordered appetizers before the two tables next to us were sat. Nothing extravagant, a salad and corn bread. The two tables next to us received theirs before we did. My Caesar Salad was mostly the yellowish end of the lettuce and the stalk. The Caesar dressing had the color of Thousand Island and tasted like it was from a bottle. The corn bread was tasty but dry. It took a while for the waiter to come back but we ordered our entrees. Steak and clams. Nothing that take a long time. Then we sat and sat and sat. The two tables next to us received their entrees and we still sat. The waiter never came by to see how we were doing or ask if we needed anything. After an hour and ten minutes since we arrived we decided to pay for what we ate then leave. On top of the lousy service and average food the place is extremely noisy. Everybody is yelling trying to hear over everybody else. Apparently on Thursday nights they have live music off of the dining room. Which happened to be very good. But it was too loud. Everyone in the dining room was complaining. A table of six got up and left their table. The table behind us were miserable. So,I actually got up and spoke with the hostess. The snarky reply, He wont turn it down. So in other words the performer has full control and management is out of control. I looked at her and said, "you pay him". I was ignored. As we were leaving a manager or owner comes over and asks us how things were. As we complained he said it was really difficult to navigate. I said no it's not. Went to dinner tonight at Tin Fish. Wanted a bottle of wine that was on their wine list....they didn't have it. My husband then wanted oysters.....they didn't have any Then he wanted clams on the half shell....they didn't have any. Shouldn't a seafood restaurant have the seafood listed on the menu????? Sautéed calamari in red was tasty but calamari was very small. Linguine in white clam sauce was very disappointing. We called for a last minute reservation and Tin Fish came through for me on a busy Friday night. We were a party of four and the food and drinks were delicious. It was a busy night and yet the service was excellent. I loved the decor of the restaurant, the only negative was the noise control, but most restaurants around South Florida have that problem.
