Had some really great service from Jose on Friday celebrating the marriage of our friends. They have a great vibe there for a celebratory dinner or great date night. We had good cocktails and super yummy dessert. Food is good but not the best rib eye - with a coffee rub. The NY strip was very good with a perfect crust. The seafood platter was overpriced - oysters, shrimp and crudo. We would go back but probably for drinks and appetizers. For a fine dining place, I think their presentation could be better.

David and Gale Slay is well know in their restaurants in the South Bay beach cities for their fine dinning. We ordered the Coffee rubbed rib eyesteaks, medium rare, but the steaks came out more of a medium and was a little tough to my preference and liking, but still delicious flavor. Located in Downtown Manhattan Beach which always loving the vibe of the area especially after a long work day because it's literally 5 minutes from my home. Street parking and small metered lot parking available nearby.

Slay is a hidden gem, immaculate place love the decor. The drinks are top-tier nonalcoholic options for sure. I love their steak and Fritz. The service is great. We definitely plan to visit more often

I would definitely go back. But maybe to one of the sister restaurants Food - crab cake was ALL crab! No breadcrumbs - the shrimp app was just ok. The shrimps were nice and fat but the sauce was blend - the ribeye steak PERFECTLY cooked and the rub was delicious. I couldnt have asked for anything better - my mom thoroughly enjoyed the branzino. She ate it ALL! - my brother had the rack of lamb and had no complaints Service - our waiter was a male and Im so mad I didn't get his name - he was pleasant and very accommodating! - he knew the menu inside out as my mom asked what could she have as a person that didn't eat dairy and our waiter was able to call off several items without taking a look at the menu Ambiance - cozy - clean - dim lighting

This restaurant was on my list to try and I finally tried it and it was lovely. They had amazing unique entrees, drinks, and desserts. The service was remarkable. Paulo, our waiter was so kind, personable, funny, accommodating, and caring, and made sure our first time was enjoyable. Great atmosphere with nice modern decor. We had the warm salad, Caesar salad, butter rolls, stuffed pork chop, chicken Parmesan, banana nut bread with peaches, and several cocktail drinks. Their coffee martini was delicious. The manager was very nice too. They serve a twisted baked potato but I don't like cheese so she had the cooks make my baked potato normal without the other ingredients. The bartender was friendly and made sure our drinks were delightful. Note: Around the corner from the restaurant is the Manhattan Pier and beach. Indoor and outdoor seating. They are only open for four hours daily (5pm-9pm) and have several different sister restaurants within walking distance from each other. Parking can be challenging but they have parking structures and parking on the street.

Absolutely 5 stars around!! This has been in my bookmark for quite sometime so I tried it and it was BOMB!! I love the atmosphere in Manhattan Beach so I had no complaints with the ambience. It was cute inside and a nice outing! I had the Chicken Parmesan for my entree, Caesar salad which was all phenomenal one of the best dish of chicken Parmesan I had in a while!! I highly recommend this option for your entree and the Caesar as a starter!!! My drinks were very good and tasty! The bartender was marvelous! Made me the best expresso martini and Hennessy sidecar ! No error with the ingredients at all!! So for the customer service! Everyone was attentive and very nice! The manager was accommodating with my sister order, and Paulo our server was so chill and down to earth! They have 4 other sister restaurant within the same block! I definitely want to try the rest after SLAY being so delicious! I highly recommend here and I will be back here ! They have plenty of street parking, but it does get busy! -Marshay

Quaint spot with beautiful decor. Little details in everything like the pseudo set up of glassware with "S" or "Slay". Menu is the perfect size that captures something for everyone. The service was on point - wait time, spacing between food, and details of specials. I would come back for another date night. It's a cozy and lovely spot to dine.

Finally got to try this place. Definitely lived up to the hype. It's a beautiful dining room that is elegant yet comfortable. The service matched. We were well taken care of but were able to chat with our waiter. The food was amazing. I recommend everything we tried: tiramisu martini, watermelon margarita, crab Rangoon, grilled artichoke, sole, and the incredible coffee rub ribeye...

During dinner time, what is the noise level like? Would it be acceptable for dining with senior citizens?

I'm sure it would be o.k. There were a couple of them there when I visited . The noise level was acceptable for dinner :)

What is really great is they have a few things we have never seen before. They have a Thai curry wagyu beef pasta that is just perfect. It has shaved wagyu filet, shimeji mushrooms, bell pepper, snow peas, rice noodles, and peanuts all in a yellow curry sauce. It is just great. You also need to try their halibut. This is a fine dining place so it is expensive and for 4 people we spent a little over $400.00--no alcohol. They have a beautiful full bar but we were not drinking. You can also go solo there and eat at the bar. The steaks here are the best as is all their food. They make their own rolls and they have an interesting vegan salad made with kale. Their coffee is just great. All of their sides are wonderful, but you must get their jumbo asparagus and their mashed potatoes. They also have great desserts, but add something chocolate please for those of us not fond of carmel or toffee. A must have is their starter crab cake. They have the best sauces for all their food and they are all made from scratch. The service is the best. You will want for nothing. They are so spot on and kind. The place is comfortable and spotless. It is a must try.

The spicy tuna crispy rice was so rich in flavor, and the crispy rice truly was crispy. The shrimp taquitos were unlike anything i've tried before! I was expecting some classic taquitos filled with shrimp but this place really goes above and beyond with this dish. The shrimps were wrapped (as you can see in the photo) and it was so good!! The day of the reservation, the host manager called to confirm that we wanted to share the news at dessert, and if there were any other accommodations we needed, which was very sweet. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Thanks for the consistent hospitality and great meals, Nick's!

Easily the highlight of the trip was my sister's birthday dinner at Eddie V's Prime Seafood in El Segundo. Parking was pretty simple as they have valet parking. In general I prefer to park my own car,but we were celebrating and my mother didn't want to walk from the nearby lot. Walking in,we were immediately greeted by their overly friendly hostess-she checked us in and made us feel quite welcome. The place is straight gorgeous inside, I was for sure happy I decided to wear my " upscale" shoes for this evening's event. Being that I had never been here before,I wasn't sure what the dress code was,I'd say it was business casual or resort evening wear attire. After a very short wait, our super-friendly server Aimi F was so very helpful in breaking down the menu for us and getting our drink orders in. Aimi F truly is the epitome of incredible customer service-I just adore how special she made my mother feel during this entire dinner. We ordered a round of drinks -Negroni-9.5/10 item ($16.00) -Smoked Old Fashioned-9.0/10 ($21.00) -Perfect Margarita-9.0/10 ($17.00) For our dinner we started out with a few appetizers. -Wagyu Dumplings-10/10 item ($24.00) -Crab Cake-8.5/10 item ($31.00) -Truffle Mac N Cheese 8.0/10 item ($19.00) -Lobster Mashed Potatoes 9.75/10 item ($28.00) For our main course, three of us went with the 22-ounce Ribeye ($79.00) and my mother went with Filet Scampi ($73.00) I can honestly say my ribeye was cooked to perfection-seasoned to perfection and truly was art on my plate-I'd say it is in contention with Peter Luger's as the best steak I've had in 2026. My favorite appetizer easily was the Wagyu Dumplings-I've never quite had a flavor so unique-I really enjoyed it thoroughly. For dessert we shared a crème brûlée ($15.00) and they gave us a complimentary bananas foster for my sister's birthday. I truly enjoyed the bananas foster-not a dish I usually have,so being able to have this was a true treat. In closing. our visit could not have been more perfect. The combination of high level service, high quality food, and perfect ambience truly elevated my sister's birthday to the highest of levels.

Bought my Dad, Mom, and sister to this El Segundo location and also had a great experience! But since I was at the Huntington Beach location just a week prior, here's a bit of comparison: - This location has a bit more Market Table items - This location has garage parking that is free for 90 minutes with validation. We went past the time a bit and only paid $2 - The lentil soup at this location tasted yummier! This one had spinach wilted in the soup, and the flavor stood out more. Plant-based proteins such as lentil soup filled me up. I also appreciated the chickpea, edamame, and black bean salad. Other fresh produce included salad greens, tabbouleh, cucumbers, pickled onions, asparagus, broccoli, marinated mushrooms, hearts of palm, beets, capers, olives (green and Kalamata), peppadew, and Peruvian drop peppers. As for roasted vegetables, there was cauliflower, zucchini, eggplant, artichoke hearts, peppers, apple & butternut squash, and a cabbage stir-fry. Fresh fruit included papaya, kiwi, yellow pineapple, pink pineapple, blood oranges, and dragonfruit. The one area I wish were better was that there was a single disabled parking spot right in front of the restaurant, which would have been helpful for my elderly parents. I tried to warn a couple of the fellas about ordering Alaskan King Crab Legs at a restaurant that didn't Specialize in Alaskan King Crab Legs, but they didn't listen and complained once their ordered arrived. Several hours later, when the bill was finally dropped off, I had consumed 4-5 old fashoned drinks and I was in a Great Mood. I therefore paid the bill and then we went outside and talked for a while and took some pics. Apparently, I had enjoyed myself a little too much because the General Manager, Eddie, called me and informed me that I had forgotten my credit card. I therefore walked back into the restaurant and retrieved my card. There was not a problem until the next day when I sobered up and looked at the bill. Apparently, the side of Alaskan King Crab Legs that the fellas ordered with their steaks were $120 each. This caught me completely off guard because there were 4-5 crab legs that measured approximately 5 inches long placed into a small bowl. Instead of delivering 1-2 Alaskan King Crab Legs to the table for each guest that ordered them, the chef decided to cut them up and deliver them in a small bowl. Bottom line is, I was Not satisfied with the quantity of crab legs in relation to the price paid. A few days later, I managed to get GM, Eddie, on the phone and expressed my disappoinment with the Alaskan King Crab Legs that my guest ordered. According to Eddie, my guest ordered 8oz crab legs each and that's exactly what was delivered to them. When I asked , Why the crab legs had been cut up and placed in a small bowl? He responded with "For Convvenience!" Apparently, the table would not have accommodated several Alaskan King Crab Legs, so for Convvenience, they cut them up into approximately 5 inches long and placed 4-5 of them in a small bowl. To be honest, his response Stunned Me because living in Laguna Beach and having Real Alaskan King Crab Legs in local restaurants, they did NOT appear to have that problem. I will NOT return! Sincerely, Taking my Business Elsewhere

Arthur J was their grandfather and the first resteranteur in the family. He opened the Kettle back in 1974! I attended a private event. The have two private rooms, both with doors you access from.the outside, not through the restaurant. There is also a dedicated restroom for these two private rooms. One room hold 10, the other 20 with a diverted to open up for a larger group, at least 30 or 35. The kitchen is behind these rooms. We were a group of 20 plus and I thought the staff did an amazing job keeping up with drinks and getting all the dishes out about the same time! Everything came out piping hot and cooked perfectly. The food. I had high expectations for the food knowing it's a Simms restaurant. This one specializes in steaks but also offers Pork Chops, Fish, Chicken and Pasta. We started with Parker House Rolls, highly recommend ordering them! Warm amd so good. I noticed they also offer Popovers, so our next visit, that's going to be a tough call! Next I ordered the Fench Onion Soup, something I truly miss from.the East Clady abd rarely see on a menu! When I do, I order it. Generous serving but not too much to spoil the steak I ordered! Lots of cheese! Next came the steak. I ordered the Petite Filet (8oz), rare. Cooked to perfection! Nice seasoning on the outside and great flavor. Served with sauces as well. Our sides were mashed potatoes and asparagus, served family style. I can't believe I ate it all, but I did, too good not to! Of course, dinner isn't complete without dessert! They have some great options for dessert. I.ordered their cake of the month which was Mango Mousse Cake with Fresh Mango. I took it to go. When I got home, I tried a few bites. A few hours later I had to have more and finishing it up! Can't wait to go back!

Our reservation was at 6:15 pm, and we arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule due to concerns about traffic. We had to wait a few minutes for our table to clear, and we were seated. Water was provided and an extensive wine list was provided. I found two local wines indigeneous to California to order, which was great. The food - well, it was fantastic. We ordered their Steak Tartare and Caesar Salad for appetizers and both were delicious. For the main course, we had two people order their Filets and two people order the ArthurJ Steak Sampler. The meat was cooked to order and nicely seasoned, and sauces were offered and provided when selected. For the sides with the steaks, we went with their Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Butter Laden Mashed Potato dishes, which were very good. Ambiance is pretty much classic steak house vibe - the World Cup was on the bar screens, and we were just enjoying the food and the company.

But no worries, we love leftovers! Food is always so creative and wonderful.at Tin Roof. Although we no longer live in Manhattan, still one if our favorite restaurants. Food and service are stellar! We started with cocktails, and of course prepared by our favorite bartender / cocktail specialist extraordinaire, Clark. Off Your Head (Bloody Mary) and Ophella's White Sangria. Both were very tasty! Tin Roof has an excellent cocktail program as does their Simmzy's locations. We started out with Brussel Sprouts. Definitely a hit with the whole table. Tin Roof definitely has the best around, flavorful with a nice crunch, never soggy! We all ordered a variery of starters for our first course. Several had Ceasar Salads. Several had the Watermelon and Feta Salad. One had the Bloddy Mary Deviled Eggs, and another had the Fig; Pistashio, and Cottage Cheese Toast. Everyone loved what they ordered. We were full before our next courses arrived! Our server was Malcolm. He was very attentive even though it was an extremely busy afternoon since it was Father's Day. He was very helpful explaining some of the options only offered on today's menu. They offered a Bistro Burger (five out of six of us ordered!) and I wanted to know how different this burger was from their Simmzy's Burger (my personal favorite). He was spot on, explained it was smokey in flavor and quite different with the pretzel bun. It was so.good, served with fries (best shoestring fries!), onion rings, and piled so high you had to use a fork and knife to eat it! We left beyond full! Definitely we will be back soon!
