For the price, this place met my expectations. I wasn't blown away. But, I did have some tasty sushi rolls. We went mid-afternoon on a Thursday, so it was off hours. They weren't busy, but the entire buffet was well stocked with a variety of Chinese and Japanese food. I tried the crab rangoon, salmon, cheese mussels, fried scallops, and a variety of sushi. I tend to prefer cooked sushi (ie. crab) and just loved the options. There were California rolls, Philadelphia rolls, and specialty rolls. Nothing was labeled, so you had to eyeball it. I had a couple of really delish specialty rolls. I didn't like the fried scallops (overcooked) and the salmon (also overcooked), but did really enjoy the cheese muscles and crab rangoon. There was a hibachi station too, but they were closed for most of our visit. I tried a some of the desserts and liked the coconut macaroons. The mousse was a little waxy, but we did enjoy everything else. They cleared plates quickly and at $15 per person for lunch, it was a great deal. In spite of not loving everything I tried, I would go again.

Finally found my way back here as part of my search to find solid American-Chinese food in the Winston area. There are a couple of very good restaurants with some traditional dishes that soar above the typical buffet or take out places - New Sichuan and Sampan. The food here is that of the average Chinese buffet - few items that are truly bad, and even fewer that are really good. This buffet remains about variety and quantity , and quality is the victim. Unless you are solely looking for quantity, you are better served at one of the better take out places like Mr Lus, or a trip to Bermuda Run for a sit down at Jade Garden.

Your basic chinese buffet. Styrofoam bowls for what is actually decent hot & sour soup. Not a bad selection for veggies, noodles and rice.

A sample of their sushi section!

If you are by the mall and you need a quick meal that makes everyone happy, stop here! I am a Sushi lover so this place is perfect for me. I get to try several different roles without committing to one role (like most places). The staff is kind and attentive so you can get in and out quickly!

The cleanest Asian buffet I've ever visited (and I like those spots). Tin Tin is a great spot for lunch and dinner and is seriously nice... The COVID precautions are definitely in place. While I appreciate the effort, I doubt the plastic gloves you have to wear at the buffet do much. But, I'm not a scientist and it's easy enough to wear some gloves. Everyone was wearing masks and gloves at the buffet and I watched them enforce it. The variety here is solid! It's a big buffet. You'll find something you like. They have a great selection of your traditional Asian buffet items, sushi (good sushi), deserts, some American food, hibachi, you name it. I can't say any of it is "the best I've had," but it's consistently and good and the big variety is a win. I've honestly never left here less than stuffed. You could actually eat really healthy here if you chose. They have great salads and fruits and healthier meat options. Personally, I go in for all the chickens...general tso, honey, wings, teriyaki, on a stick, pepper, and on and on. It's a value win! At $15 for dinner buffet (including sushi!), you'll be hard pressed to find a better value. Just go hungry because you'll want to try it all!

How much is the dinner buffet?

Last time I was there, it was $10.99 for an adult Monday through Thursday and $11.99 Friday through Sunday. Both prices are without crab legs, which really increases the price.

The Scallops were sliced in halves so they would cook quickly but they were WAY overdone and the foot was left on, shrimp were dry and the Red Snapper was really overcooked and far too dry. Maybe their chicken was better but we chose all of the expensive items including a Lobster tail and ALL of it was overcooked. The only vegetables were onions and zucchini. I was needing something else green like broccoli . I was not very impressed but our service was very good. The rice was okay but I would have liked an option like Udon noodles instead... I don't think I will return but others may like their food cooked to death. Not happy with our Food.

We were promptly greeted upon entering and shown to our table. The restaurant was about 75% full of other patrons and the dining room was clean and comfortable. Along with regular tables, there was limited seating at the sushi bar. As we began looking over the menu, our server made us aware of the lunch specials on the back page, which was greatly appreciated. I went with the Teriyaki Beef and my wife had the Hibachi Chicken. I chose the side salad with the house ginger dressing and my wife had the miso soup. Both of us went with white rice. Our sides came out pretty quick, and once we finished our sides, our entrees came out like clockwork. The Teriyaki Beef with accompanying vegetables tasted great, but I felt the portion size of both could have been larger. Still, it was a good value. Now, the portion size of the Hibachi Chicken with vegetables was much better, and it may be my choice next time. I want to mention that the sushi I saw being delivered to other tables looked pretty amazing, so the Hibachi Chicken may have to wait. Service was excellent throughout our visit. The only suggestion would be some soft background authentic Japanese music to add to the experience.

I filled out the online form to reserve and called to confirm. They had our reservation and ensured we had a table. Hugely spacious inside with some large and some smaller hibachi grill tables. Our waitress was fantastic. She was a young lady from Lebanon and she was a delight. She was very, very prompt with our food and made sure that we had everything we needed. Its Thursday night and they have half-price sushi bar specials and cocktails. I think the special cocktail was different versions of margaritas that evening. Our food came out promptly and I had decided on one of the appetizers. My Scorpian roll was huge! I had to cut each slice in half. It was excellent and I highly recommend it if you can go for $21 for an appetizer. I made it my meal, it was filling. The atmosphere is modern but still has the traditional grill and a small show while food is prepared. Great for groups. They also have tables and booths for those who do not want to sit in front of the grill. There is also a separate bar area. This was another great experience I've had at this Japanese restaurant. I'll be back as there are many items to try on the menu ranging from raw to cooked fare.
