Tiger Roll Jack and Cheryl Roll

Not sure if this is the same as the location that was uptown years ago but I gave it a try after my son said it was really good. I've tried the veggie hibachi(broccoli, mushrooms, onions, and zucchini, the salmon hibachi which comes with rice, noodles, carrots, or egg roll. I also tried the Tiger roll(crabmeat salad topped with shrimp) and jack & Cheryl roll(shrimp, avocado, cucumber, topped with spicy kani and jalapeño & spicy mayo. All really good!

Great coupon online if you want a combination of things. Hibachi can be a hit or miss. Recently, I order steak (medium cook) and chicken with a spring roll, onion, mushroom, sweet carrots, white rice -"also with fried gyoza. There was so much liquid in my takeout bag which thank god didn't spill out! My plate also had a lot of water still. I only enjoyed the gyoza and the spring roll. The steak was cooked well done instead. Chicken disintegrated and tasted odd like maybe it was cooked before ordering. Bland. I wish I had only veggies because I ate around the meat. The BOGO sushi seems like a good deal but the cost is high depending on what you order and not much taste. *I don't think they plan on having indoor dining ever again.*

Deals: Order Online - 15% off Sushi BOGO Free Hibachi chicken combo 6.45 Hibachi shrimp 7.45 Pre Pandemic I've dined in before gorgeous interior. Post pandemic: take out only and it looks a tad hodgepodge with storage. They identify your order using your phone number. Typically my husband and I order sushi about average 3.5/5 quality. I personally do not eat seafood and sometimes they do not separate vegetable rolls from seafood. I am however obsessed with udon and they have that option seemingly only for their noodle soups. Pictures below!

I like to get their lunch special which is good. The food is great and portions are just right.

Tin Tin is is great sushi at an affordable cost. They offer a daily special of buy 1 get one free on the sushi ( pickup only). This place always has a line out the door especially in the evenings. No Dine-Inside option. They do charge extra for shrimp sauce however it is a nice size. I haven't found a better place in the University Area.

Discovered this tucked away gem while craving hibachi one night. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of food options provided with the hibachi dinners. You're able to choose from 4 sides and as you can see, they are not stingy. Their online ordering is easy and the food was ready once I arrived. We also ordered crab Rangoon which were tasty. We only wish more crab filling was stuffed in the shell. We are cancelling our old hibachi place and deeming TinTin our new go-to! I look forward to trying their sushi next.

Walked into a line in at the register blocking the entrance way. Stood there for about 6 minutes before reaching the front of the register just to let them know where waiting to be seated. Once we got seated it took around another 5 minutes to get a drink. The waitress took our orders without writing them down, then continued to confirm our order as she brought out our drinks and appetizers. Would have been easier if she would have written it down. Sushi was wonderful, and the volcano salad was probably my favorite. I ordered the stir fry shrimp udon noodle. Large portion for the whole family. All in all, great portions of food for good price.

The restaurant is stylish, modern, and surprisingly chic , with a great location that makes it easy to add to an evening out. As first-time guests, we especially appreciated our server, who patiently walked us through the process and made sure there were no surprises. The explanation about the charge for uneaten all-you-can-eat sushi that guests want to take home was particularly helpful. Knowing the rules upfront makes all the difference and sets the right expectations from the start. The food was excellent. We worked our way through several rolls , sampled dumplings , and didn't find a miss among them. My Lycheetini was delicious, and after tasting a couple of sakes , I ended up buying a bottle to take home. Zero regrets there. Parking requires a little planning, with a paid lot nearby unless you're fortunate enough to snag a street spot right in front. Overall, I'd happily return and enjoy the entire experience all over again.

I would skip their fried rolls since you can barely taste the actual sushi. Their classic rolls and specificities are good though! The octopus honestly wasn't fully my type flavor-wise because of the seasoning, but it was cooked extremely well -- probably the most tender octopus I've ever had. Great location in south end near the light rail. We had a reservation for 6:30 and were seated promptly. The restaurant is gorgeous! I was in amazement walking to my seat. The host was about to sit us at a table, but we requested a booth and were accommodated. Our server was very nice and thoroughly explained the menu. We started off with the empanadas and I ordered my first virgin "pinny yolada" :). The empanadas were mind blowing! They were nice and hot, flavorful, and absolutely a delight! We were so impressed, we decided to order the double fried wings afterwards. The wings were good and had an interested flavor with the tamarind. After the wonderful appetizers, it was time for the entrees. I ordered the short rib yuca gnocchi and my friend the arroz con pollo. On paper the gnocchi sounded sublime, but in actuality it was lacking a lot. The entire dish lacked so much flavor, even with hot sauce, additional salt, and lime it tasted bland. I was very disappointed. The empanadas and service were a saving grace, I ordered two orders of empanadas to go for my family. However they were so expensive. I paid $14 for 3. Even though I loved the empanadas, I probably would not be back.

Another thoughtful detail that made the evening feel special. Since we arrived early, the atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and honestly very romantic. We could actually hear each other talk without raising our voices. The lighting was perfectly dim--creating a cozy ambiance without making it difficult to see the menu. The service was equally enjoyable. Our waiter and waitress were attentive, friendly, and never overbearing, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. As for the food, it was every bit as good as I remembered. The quality hasn't changed at all--fresh, beautifully prepared sushi with consistently excellent flavors. Customer service was terrible from the second we walked in extremely disrespectful, arrogant, and unprofessional. What made it even worse was the condition of the restaurant itself. No restaurant serving raw fish should ever have issues like that. The environment felt dirty, uncomfortable, and poorly managed. I genuinely do not understand the hype around this place. Between the awful attitude from the owner and the unsanitary conditions, I would never recommend anyone eat here. Charlotte has WAY too many amazing sushi and ramen spots to waste your money at a place that treats customers badly and can't even keep the restaurant clean. Save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else.
