First of all the conditioning treatment I got made my hair silky soft yet nice and full. The haircut I got (in my opinion) looked like it was made for my face and my hair falls just perfectly whether i style it or not. This review is for my rockstar stylist, Katie Ittner, who recently relocated from Awilda Salon to Tina Cassady. Katie deserves 123,098,788,566 stars. She is the giver-goddess of luscious tresses and I would follow her to the ends of the earth. I kid you not- the woman does MAGICAL things with scissors. I had never been completely, utterly overjoyed with a cut until I put my hair into her competent hands. Katie knows how to make any type of hair look and feel its best, and she goes above and beyond for her clients. When I wanted to bob my long, long hair and get bangs for the first time, she was so sweet and accommodating, cutting slowly and making sure I was comfortable with the length. The next morning I woke up wishing I had gone even shorter, and when I called Katie she cut it shorter that day FOR FREE. I am over the moon happy with the result, and she even offers an extra perk: free bang trims! Tina Cassady Salon doesn't have a receptionist, so you can call your stylist directly. I too am writing a review for Katie...who has a loyal following of clients for a very good reason...she is very talented. I've been to a few salons, the blond hair I was striving for has turned out uneven, too brassy, or just too suttle. The first time I saw Katie I explained to her what I wanted, the frustrations I have had with my past jobs and she somehow gave me EXACTLY what I wanted and it was perfect! And ever since I return every couple of months and it's very consistent each time. I have definitely become one of her followers...even with the relocation from her prior salon. She is just THAT good! Last night I went again for another highlight job this time with cut and blow dry and it turned out AMAZING. I felt like such a rockstar as I was leaving the salon...seriously. I have beautifully defined layers...I think it's seriously one of the best haircuts I have had...and the blow dry stayed all night and the next morning...I couldn't be happier. read more

I spent years looking for a stylist - I'd find one and within 6 mo to a year, I'd find myself looking for another one. She would mess up the color, or the cut, or both - she would listen to what I wanted in the beginning, then things would go downhill. Tina Cassaday could not be more different!! She is incredibly talented, and really listens to what you are looking for. She also has a way of steering you into the perfect cut FOR YOU!! You know how some people bring in a picture, and if the stylist has 1/2 a clue, 9 times out of 10 they know it isn't going to look good on you, but they do it anyway. Tina knows what looks good on each shape of face, and can easily explain why one cut is better than another. She is also a wizard with color - getting rid of the grey, finding the perfect spot for a highlight, correcting bad color jobs. And her line of products - I will never use anything else!! I constantly get compliments on my hair, and I know it's not because of my blowdrying skills - LOL!
