I am never returning. Scheduled an appointment for 11am 3 manicures and 3 pedicures. Everything was okay until others started walking in. It felt rushed and somehow there was a misunderstanding as they tried checking us out with only one completed manicure so the other two were hurried. Also the pricing differed from the sign outside stating the pedicures were $38 each with the hot stone massage and wax. The total came out to over $400 somehow. I also noticed shortly after I had a cut in between my pinky toe and my father who got a pedicure to had burning on top of his right foot and come to find out they somehow sliced the top of three of his toes. The next day I woke up with an ingrown toe nail that I did not have going into the pedicure. If I could rate it a 0 I would. I'm not the type to get my nails done, but I took my younger cousin here for a fun day out today. I paid just over $100 for us both (without 20% tip). I sort of like my nails, but I don't for that price, especially considering I left with several cuts (one that she used superglue to close, leaving my whole fingertip covered in glue). A few of my nails were placed on crooked, which has made simple tasks (like buttoning my jacket and texting) very difficult. I do appreciate how much time she put into shaping the tops and making sure my nails weren't too thick. Overall, I liked going here for the experience and to support a local business, but I feel like I could have gotten press-ons that are a lot cheaper and better looking. read more

Sad to update this as it has been my go to place when I choose to get my nails done. I'm deciding to move on and pursue other places. I feel the prices here have been inconsistent and the quality has declined. After this last Saturday I will not be going back. I got a mani pedi which was regular polish on my toes and gel color on my fingers (no design).The total was $82 and i didn't get any breakdown of my total even when I asked she had just said for both which was odd. Not to mention the lady accidentally soaked my entire jeans (crotch area) with water and it was uncomfortable to say the least to sit in wet jeans. It was still wet when i left and was extremely cold outside. I got no discount on anything.. the pedicure process felt rushed and the massage felt weak and wasn't timed. Wow... I'm absolutely speechless... I'm just in town for the night, traveling down to California & wanted to stop in and get my nails done. (I haven't had them done in 4 years, so with my 27th bday coming up, I decided to spoil myself) Tami helped me out, as I showed her I wanted an ombré look; with square shape. Used to get great mani/pedis here. The last 2 times had issues. Had to get nails redone 2x from Chrome to a completely different design because of lumps on every nail. Also used the drill to remove old shellac on my natural nails, rather than soaking. Still paid nearly $135 for mani/pedi, including tip. This last time used drill AGAIN to take old shellac off and buff. Nails are now thinner and weaker. She was rough and borderline aggressive working on my hands. I usually don't write reviews and I hate for my first to be a bad one, but I really can't just let my experiences at Tina Nail Bar go unknown. For background you should know that I've only recently begun my journey with acrylic nails, but I've been avidly getting gel mani's and pedi's for years now. I moved to Vancouver from California a little over a year ago so I've been trying to find a nail to call home for awhile. I've been to Tina's 3 times now because I like to give a few chances before completely writing off a business. My first experience here I moderately enjoyed. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming and clients seemed to enjoy the spunky attitude the employees here have. The pedicure I received was okay - The gel polished wrinkled on my big toes. I thought she fixed it because it I noticed that she saw it and started tinkering with acetone and polish. I should've asked to make sure because when I got home I realized she just threw a bunch of top coat on and actually made it worse. It was still wet underneath the bubbles and wiped off almost immediately. My nails looked great however so I decided I'd come back again. My second experience was great - I only got a full and gel polish with a design on my ring finger nails. The workers did amazing work with the design. However when I got home I realized that again my polish was completely wrinkled. The only reason I came back again was because I needed a fill badly and I couldn't find anywhere else at such short notice with decent reviews. This was a choice I regret because it was the WORST experience I've ever had at a business. My pedicure seemed great, but half way through the entire building was filled with sounds of some dry heaving and violently vomiting. It was SO LOUD that even the client next to me took her headphones out because she could hear it over her music turned all the way up. Come to find out that it was the owner of the salon and she had to go home. The other employees were very quick to tell us all publicly that she had drank too much to mourn her grandmothers passinand it made her sick. Like WHAT!? I'm still in shock at the level of unprofessionalism. 1. To be doing clients nails while drunk is ridiculous. 2. To tell customers someone's personal business and issues is absolutely embarrassing. 3. Quality of work is just nonexistent there. To wrap it up they finished my fill after and when I got home AGAIN my gel was wrinkled and bubbled on both my mani and pedi. All in all this place is a waste of time and money. read more

Being out here for work (I live in Los Angeles, CA), I needed to get my nails done since I didn't have enough time to get them done before I left home. Bad idea. I brought my cousin here, for her bday, also ... we both needed it. Bad idea. First, I use dip, which I come to find out they don't use, which is a bummer ... but I'm willing to just use gel/shellac. The guy didn't want to listen to me on HOW to remove dip and tried his own way. The way he was trying to remove it was the wrong way and thinned out my nail-bed. I repeated myself several times and he ignored me until he finally decided to try it on one nail and realized that I was RIGHT. SMH BAD IDEA. Both my cousin and I had to return to get our nails fixed because they didn't do them properly. 2 of my nails had some bubble in the middle and ended up tearing ... leaving me a hole on my finger. I go back a couple days later, on my day off, and get both of them fixed. Less than a week later... my nails start to peel. Smh I needed to get my nails done and decided to come to an unknown salon and it became the worst idea ever. Spending money and giving a REALLY GOOD TIP (I'm generous) to end up having to go somewhere else to spend MORE money on getting my nails done. If you want to have someone not listen to how you want your nails done or blame you for your nails messing up after just one day... then this is the place to be. read more

I'm writing this review months later but only because my finger nails finally healed from my experience here. My first visit with Tina was amazing. It made me come back but the following two times I came in i had a different tech and they RIPPED my nails off for a full new set. Not only that but I also left with cuts from the drill on multiple fingers. Extremely painful experience and the second time she removed my nails i didn't even let her put on a new set again! She said my nails where now too thin for a regular mani (obvi cuz she tore off layer of my nails) so i got a dip manicure that lasted a few days before peeling. Whether it's your 1st time or 5th time, Tina and her staff have a way of making you feel so very welcomed and never rushed. First of all if you are scared of covid, do not go here. My friend and I went and they didn't have us wash our hands or sanitize before service, and there was no sign of sanitation on any tools. Then they kept touching our phones when looking at the designs we requested then going back to touching everything at their stations or walking back to another customer. You do not get what you pay for. I felt way over charged considering she failed to do the design I gave her (simple ombre), she even said oops and apologized for messing up, plus there is bumps and air bubbles on almost every nail, and every cuticle is raw from over filing. I went on Monday, and today on Wednesday my thumb has completely lifted and there is still wet polish coming out. Now I have to pay another shop for a polish change after dropping $70 on embarrassing nails. Don't waste your time and money. we definitely regret it. read more

Tinas nail salon is the best nail salon I've found in the Pacific Northwest. I arrived at her salon at about 545 I was under the impression they were open until 7 PM on Sundays. They politely advised me that they were not open until seven they actually close at 6 PM on Sundays. Since I had seen 7 PM on yelp they agreed to take me. I requested coffin shaped gel nails in a matte finish. My nails look amazing Tina was so friendly. She was very engaging! She is a perfectionist and made sure I was super happy with my nails. My full set with Matt finish and sparkles add it on four fingers came out to $51. Absolutely worth every penny I will be back in the very near future for a pedicure my daughter who accompanied me would also like to get a pedicure and nail design and love you that they had a chairSpecifically for her. read more

I get my full acrylic sets done here and they work hard to make sure I'm really happy! I've tried many different salons as I'm super particular about my shape and design and Tina nail bar is the only place I feel comfortable going to achieve my visions. My girlfriend and I did a girls' weekend and stayed at the Red Lion Hotel nearby. This place was in walking distance. It was mediocre at best. My girlfriend did the basic pedi while I did the deluxe for $10 more. There was literally no difference between the two and they were really rushed and not very thorough. We got powder dipped manicures which they were not very sure about. They didn't offer it until we asked and then seemed uncomfortable doing them. They did not do any cuticle work or nail shaping. We also were both not impressed with the work. It was very rough and bumpy. The ladies were sweet though. I would suggest sticking to only the very basics with this place. read more

Here for a wedding, I picked Tina Nail Bar more for convenience and locality than any other reason. I called and made an appointment on a Saturday, and arrived a few minutes early. Still, although I was able to sit in a massage chair, I waited for over a half hour. No real problem, except isn't that what appointments are for? Anyway, each service was done well. I had some facial waxing, then a deluxe pedicure and regular manicure. Tip for any other out-of-towners: state law mandates you have to bring your own emory board and nail buffer. Of course I didn't have my own. However, no problem, for a buck the salon sold me a little kit, which I will now bring with me when I get home. It really is more sanitary. Another, more fun fact - salons offer alcoholic beverages with services! I opted for just some orange juice over ice, but they had white and red wine, and I could easily have had a mimosa. I made an appointment online that was confirmed online but when I got there, they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. The person at the back of the salon kept yelling something about coming back in "30 minutes" even though I was only 5 minutes early for my appointment. Then, without telling me anything, the girl at the counter walks away. So I don't know if I'm going to wait for 30 minutes or 5 so I just look at the nail polish colors. About 5 minutes later I get called back and, apart from asking me which service I wanted, she didn't speak to me again until it was time to pay. The girl was rude, rough, and kept yanking my legs/feet or lightly slapping them with the back of her hand to get me to put them in the water. Once she put the polish on at the end, she just walked away without telling me what to do. It felt like she was mad at me for making her work? I've never felt so unwelcome. I expected more out of a place with 4.5 stars. Even during the pandemic, a little communication and kindness goes a long way, neither of which did I receive.
