I'll be completely honest. I became a "Karen" and had to get up from a Paraffin pedicure due to multiple issues occurring with the initial nail tech I had. My feet were in pain, things were spilt on me, my skin was AWFUL--and if did not look like that when I came in. I typically try to go here every 3-4 weeks. I had to walk up to the front to complain, and they did everything they could to make this right. VEE re-did my pedi & I had immediate relief with her taking better care of my cuticles. I will 1000% be back to see VEE, but not the tech I had initially. I highly, highly suggest VEE! I would give her 5 stars if I could, but the first tech would get a definite zero. read more

I will never return to Tina's! The first time I went I had a decent experience, loved my gold glitter sms dip nails. However, the second time I went was a different experience. There is always a wait when you arrive, seems like they don't staff enough employees. When I was finally sat, they still didn't have the color I wanted from the previous visit! Then, my manicurist came to help me. I picked two colors for an ombré and she basically told me no, so I didn't get the color I wanted. I wasn't asked if I wanted a beverage, like other clients were. She barely spoke. When she was finished she spoke to another employee in their native language (which is fine), then looked at me and said "it's $70". The last manicure I had was $55 FROM THE SAME WOMAN! I handed her $80 and she took all my money without giving me change. She assumed the extra $10 was for herself. Well, that cost her an extra $5 on top of her tip! Never assume! When I called to ask why there was a price difference I was told because of the length and shape. Please look at the photos I posted! The length and shape are the exact same! Why was I charged an extra $15??? The woman on the phone was rude and did not want to hear me! I didn't even get the color I wanted, experienced bad customer service, and don't love my nails! They will never get another penny from me! read more

This was probably the worst experience I've had here. I just had a polish change on my toes and hands. I was there over an hour because the lady kept messing up. I didn't get what I initially asked for and both my hands and feet are a mess. It honestly looks like I did it, which is bad. There's all kinds of air bubbles and paint is not only on my nail thick, but on my actual skin. She cut half my nail off too. I probably won't be back anytime soon. Maybe it was just the tech I had. Stay away, go anywhere else!!!! I went to get a refund, and after waiting 20 minutes the manager said it is company policy to not refund money. That as a customer there is no recourse for poor service, gel style nails that fall off, chip, and break the very next day. The managers response was the technicians work for commission and that a refund was impossible. Because the owners wasn't going to pay for a technicians poor work. Additionally the manager said he was to busy to talk to me about my situation, upon initial arrival. After owning restaurants, I was never to busy to speak with an unhappy guest or refund a guests money who wasn't happy! This is the wrong way to run a business. I have given it several tries, but I must say I am disappointed. Each time I have been which has been every two-three weeks for a few months now I have chosen the more expensive options for hands and feet hoping they would take longer and really let me have a relaxing time. Wrong! They have hurried through each time and then over charged me for what they did. I understand gel nails are not cheap but 40 dollars for a base manicure is ridiculous and then to rush through it? No thank you. I was really hoping to find Green Hills quality services in hendersonville but it looks like I will continue to drive the long distance for my nails. Also, the young girl at the front who greets you has the worst welcoming face. She never smiles and looks at you like she is judging you up and down. I am really surprised by the notes and comments left by the other reviewers. I have been at this salon a couple of times in the past 2 months for manicures and pedicures. I have tried both the Gel Pedicure, Parrafin Pedicure and a Parrafin manicure - the more expensive options. Each one was done wonderfully and extremely relaxing. I was offered wine or water, which I declined as I was still enjoying my Starbucks each visit, but everyone was attentive and friendly. I never felt rushed or hurried and each visit was fabulous. I would definitely recommend this salon for a manicure and pedicure. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars as it isn't the best place for a traditional spa, quiet surrounding. It does get rather loud with the amount of people both working and receiving services; however you can tune this out and have an enjoyable experience. read more

This nail spa is SUCH a hit or miss. I got my first manicure at Tina's back in August 2014. I absolutely loved the lady doing my nails. She was funny and didn't rush through. When I returned two weeks later for a fill in it was the COMPLETE opposite. Rushed through, the lady only spoke to me to tell me my total, and it was not enjoyable or relaxing. She practically seemed annoyed that I came in to get my nails done. I assumed it was just an off day possibly and continued to return a couple times. It is now January and the place still is a huge hit or miss. Today for example, I go in for a new set. Once again I get a completely different lady, but was hoping for the best. Instead, it was just another miss. Instead of soaking my nails before removing the old set she immediately started clipping them and prying them off. The pain was getting so bad that I had to jerk my hands away several times just to get her to stop and when I did she blew her breath as if I was being rude. If she had let them soak for the appropriate time my nails would have been much softer and it would not have hurt whatsoever. Rushing much? I would say so. The new set turned out great in the end but the fact that I was left with sore nails is ridiculous. People pay the money to be pampered and to feel relaxed. They don't pay money to feel like a burden to the spa. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because of the ones here that actually do care about their job and their customers. read more

I will agree with Gayle about the guy named Tony - he was awful! He is also no longer there. Haha! I'm pretty sure he had too many complaints. He did my nails once and they were bad. And he tried to say it was because of the last place that did my nails. I informed him that I had my nails done there! The girl working the front desk apologized and spoke with Tina, the owner about it and they redid my nails at no cost. That's when I met CK. She is the BEST nail tech in there in my opinion. I'm pretty picky about my nails, and Kim, to whom I've been coming for quite some time, does an excellent job. However, whenever I call early morning for an appointment, I've been told repeatedly that she is busy until 4:00. It seemed unlikely to me that she would always be busy until 4:00. Most recently I called at 10am and was told she was booked until 11:15 or 11:30. I gave them my info and asked, "11:15 or 11:30?" He said, "11:30." I showed up at 11:20 and noticed Kim doing a pedicure, and she wasn't very far along. I said to the guy at reception, "Kim is doing a pedicure and not close to being done." He assured me she would be done at 11:30. I waited until 11:50, and he called her over to me as she was starting a manicure on the same customer. The customer she was helping was a walk-in, which meant that Kim was NOT busy until 11:30 when I called at 10. I just don't feel that, as a regular customer, I'm treated fairly and honestly. Considering they charge more than comparable salons, the expectations are higher for customer service. read more

I was at your Hendersonville establishment this past Friday, 10/4, with my best friend who was getting married the following day. She and her mother both had appointments for noon that were made earlier in the week. The bride's name is Tasha and her mother is Michelle. The Bride went into your store to make the app. and showed photos of what she wanted her nails to look like and was told by the receptionist that CK would best be to do the design, so the nail app. was booked for CK. Michelle's app. was made for a manicure and eyebrow waxing. Having been a regular customer at your establishment for over 2 years, along with her new in-laws and other family members, she had another thing that was taken care of in her very busy week that she knew she didn't have to stress out about. When we arrived on time for the appointment Sat., I was a walk in for a pedicure as well as the bride's cousin, Dawn, who wanted a pedicure and manicure. There were 4 of us in total. Tasha confirmed that she would be using CK and the ladies at the counter agreed. At around 12:15, they walked all of us, including her Mom who was not getting a pedicure, to the pedicure room in back near the restroom where we sat for a while. They said they would come get to get her Mom when they were done setting up for her but that she could come back and be with us until then. She was taken into the other room around 12:45. At approximately 12:45, Tasha and my pedicures were started. At that time, Tasha asked the girl doing Dawn's feet if they could find out if CK was ready for her so that she could get her nails started. The girl left and came back saying almost. A little after 1pm, over an hour after the appointment time, someone finally came and started the bride's pedicure. Latashia asked that woman as well if she could check on how long it would be before CK could start her nails, she said it should be soon but never got up to check. A few minutes later, Michelle walked back into the room we were in and said they hadn't started on her and she needed to go run other errands and get ready for the rehearsal dinner. They sat her down and for about 20-25 minutes never even attended to her, though they continued to seat and assist walk-in customers. The mother of the bride went without getting her nails or eyebrows done for her own daughter's wedding. Around 1:30, the young receptionist came to the back room and when she was asked about CK, she said she would go out and check and come right back. She never came back. Around 1:40, I came to the front and asked the girls there how long it would be and let them know that they had a very upset bride on their hands who was stressing out because this had gone way beyond schedule. I told them I understood they were busy, but her appointment began almost 2 hours before and nobody had come to even soak her nails and when she would ask, she wasn't getting straight answers. I then asked who CK was and they pointed her out... she was just at the beginning stages of someone else's nails, she was cutting their cuticles. At that time, Dawn's pedicure was done and her nails were being started. Tasha's pedicure was done shortly after and she was then seated at the manicure tables. She was on the phone trying to get people to do the errands she was unable to do, however, nobody else could get her checked in to her Nashville hotel room, dressed, and ready for her rehearsal dinner with family and friends she hasn't seen in years. She began to cry at the table and still nothing was done. Finally, they sent someone else over to do her nails, the nice gentleman who did my pedicure earlier. The girls at the receptionist table knew I was angry and that the bride was upset. Only the man doing her nails apologized and CK did as well when she was walking past after finishing the other client's nails. No manager or receptionist apologized or took responsibility for the appointment going almost 3 hours long. For a manicure and pedicure, that is ridiculous and inexcusable. You have a woman who, like 90% of most brides, is more stressed out the day before her wedding than she probably will be the day of, and you have her sitting around waiting when all she can think of are the things she still needs to take care of. She ended up not being able to do her hair and makeup the way she had planned for the dinner that night, she wasn't able to make it to the hotel in time to get the welcome cards into her guest's rooms, and she was late to the rehearsal dinner since, had she left at the scheduled time, she wouldn't have gotten stuck in traffic heading into and around the city on a Friday night. All of this, plus the mother of the bride went without her nails and brows being done. read more

I stopped by today at this salon at 4:15pm to get a pedicure. The hostess had the water way too hot for my feet. Then a lady named Linda Ly came to give me a pedicure. She nipped my cuticle on my big toe with her clipper which made it bleed and then preceded to use the buff filer which made it worse. She tried to put alcohol and some gel on it but my toe was bleeding more by then. I had to remove the cuticle that was hanging. She had the nerve to say she was going to paint above the cut which I said NO. I reported the problem to front desk since my toe was in pain from the cut as well as bleeding and still waiting on manager to call me. I WILL NOT be back at this place. read more

We had a appointment at 2 and even had to put down a deposit. Some of us waited over an hour before our feet were wet. No one offered water or wine. The receptionist didn't communicate with the tech and nails were painted the wrong color. Then we were charged for the color change even though it was their mistake. The front desk staff and owner were extremely rude when we were picking out the colors. Extremely disappointed in what was supposed to be a fun experience with my bridesmaids. I'm not usually the person to leave a review, especially a negative one however my experience today was unfortunate. My nail tech argued with me over a color for the first 5 minutes. She then began chopping my natural nail down to the skin to which I had to ask Multiple times for her to not do that. I worked hard growing them out and lost all progress on them today. Her justification is that one of the nails was shorter than the rest so they ALL had to be chopped down, she can't leave one shorter (she even made the shortest one even shorter). After asking multiple times to stop, she argued insuring they were prettier if they were filed down to my skin and rounded. Again, I reiterated I didn't want the length or shape to be touched. My nails were too far gone at this point to even fix. I got gel polish on my nails and the tech tried to push Dip powder on me. I usually get dip and wanted to try something new but she did not like that response. She claimed the gel "wouldn't look right" and I needed dip if I "wanted it to look better" I have a few other nit-picky complaints but these three were most of my experience. Her last step was to take a file to the edges which caused the gel to begin lifting up. I removed them tonight because they began looking worse. Leaving, she could tell I wasn't happy and told me they would grow on me quickly and I would begin to like them better that way and always ask for that. The tech wasn't wearing a name tag but I saw her items had the name Sophia on them. read more

Of all the nail places I've been to in the Nashville area, Tina's is by far the best. They are the only place that knows how to do SNS properly. Every other place after 1.5-2 weeks they're starting to lift around the edges, while I can wear Tina's SNS for 4+ weeks. Highly recommend Samy, Wendi, David, and Tina herself! It's best to make an appointment cause they will get you in an out within an hour that way! read more

I'm so disappointed! Had Kevin and got the SNS dip. They were out of 3 of my choices, ended up getting a color I didn't want. He didn't file my nails like I wanted him to. I felt like he was rushing and in the end my fingers felt gritty. I've had SNS enough times to know he skipped a couple of steps. Such a horrible experience, and it's overly priced there! Plus I was in earshot of the owner, whom I overheard talking negatively about certain employees to her customer...super unprofessional. I'm not from this area, but I went to Tina's Nails with my mother in law. The place was very busy, but they seemed to be moving through the customers fairly quickly. We had an appointment for just a basic mani/pedi. I liked the massage chairs. They were nice and they had a lot of options. They technicians were very gentle with my mother in law's feet. She is a little persnickety and wanted her feet and polish just right. They were patient with her and took their time. When the manicure came, we had to wait about 10 minutes. Which made my mother in law a little upset, but again, they were still very kind to her. Overall it was a great experience and would come here again. read more

If I could score a zero, I would. I waited patiently over an hour for an eyebrow wax, which could have been done in ten minutes or less. No thanks!! I've been here several times before, and have been in/out in no time. I kept being told "15 minutes", "5 minutes", which turned into 30,45,etc.. I appreciate truthfulness, which is not what I experienced here. The front desk hostess was very rude and did not even say hello upon entering the salon and asking for my service. Came in for a pedicure and was greeted by a very friendly young lady. Once I picked my color she escorted me to a massage chair and handed me the menu. The decor is very nice. She returned and I let her know my selection. I sat there for approx 30 mins. Finally a tech named Linda came over and asked if I'd like some water. I said yes and she walked away. She returned with my water and started the pedi. She never smiled, barked orders and was overall rude. Other customer had red or white wine. I was a little envious I must say. Well got a pedicure on Saturday and by Saturday night the paint on my big toes was already chipping. Come back when they open to be told I have to wait an hour before they can try to get to fixing the two toes, although he acted like he wasn't going to offer to fix it anyway. Great experience from the moment we stepped in the door. Very friendly and quick to get started. I got the Lemon Drop Pedicure (35) and my friend had the Paraffin Pedicure(38). I have tried a four nail salons...two in H'ville and two in Hermitage. This is by far the best overall experience I have had. The prices are reasonable-basic spa pedi starts at $15!!; they offer you a complimentary water or glass of wine; they took tools out of sealed, cleaned packet (surprisingly no one else had!!); no fumes or chemical smells (being pregnant this was great); on a Saturday early afternoon there was zero wait; & staff was friendly. Maybe the free wine and friendly service has something to do with that.
