First time at Tina's! I live in the city and a friend recommended this spot to me when I was in the area. Easy to find location and clean space! I came in for a pedicure and a long overdue fill for my grown out acrylic nails. I wanted to get a pink and white dip ombré for a more natural look, which is my normal go to. Note : I came in with acrylic nails with gel polish on top. My pedicure was amazing! Thank you rose! Very detailed orientated and my toes and feet feel amazing. She spent a lot of time and was very talented in her craft, I was being pampered for about 45 minutes which was awesome! However, when it came over to doing my nails it kinda turned slightly south. They couldn't seem to find the ombré coloring which is fine, but the older tech put tin foil and alcohol on my nails to remove the gel polish. I've had this done before yes, however not on fake nails. On natural nails they do this every time. But I've never had this done on acrylic nails. Every salon I've ever gone has been able to simply file off the polish with a tool from the acrylic nail. Which is quick and effective. This process of the tech putting the tin foil with alcohol on each finger tip took about a half an hour. She did this process FOUR times over and over again to get this gel polish off. I was confused with this since the alcohol was breaking down the acrylic that I already had on. I've been in this nail game for a while and I have NEVER had a tech put alcohol and cotton ball rubbing alcohol swabs FOUR times on fake nails to remove gel polish. I just kinda sat there since I didn't really know what was going on. The fake nail and acrylic powder was breaking down and getting all sticky and gross. She went on to fill my nails with white and pink dip powder, not really doing a traditional fill then putting a dip powder which would be white and pink on my nails which is what would normally be done. Now it's been over two hours and I'm still at Tina's. Owner and everyone was very nice and my nails came out good however for over two hours and a steep price tag of 85 dollars I was SHOCKED. Especially since she didn't really do dip, where you put each finger in the color to build the color. I pay less in the north end for the same service and aren't there for two hours. Wah! In conclusion -pedicure was amazing nails came out good. But for price and time spent and procedure that was taken not sure if I'd be back. Sorry Tina! read more

Went to Tina's Nails today I had an in grown toenail that was killing me for days I was greeted with a smile. I came in for my first visit on a weekday afternoon to get a full set of acrylics. I showed the lady a picture of what I wanted, and she knew exactly what I was talking about. Prices are very reasonable, especially for a design. Mine was only an extra $5 for it. The lady that did my nails was extremely nice and patient with me. They have free water and the inside is air conditioned well. I would love to come back and get a pedicure too! read more

If you have one hour, get the spa pedicure with Fen! It was by the far the best pedicure I've ever had! Not just for how fabulous my French came out but how relaxing and how much effort she put into making sure I felt relaxed and really took her time. You get hot stone, scrub, hot towel, cream, oil all massaged in getting pressure points, and the massage is an hour long all for $40. Like seriously people, this is that good good! As for manicure, I got the best coffin nails from Judy! I have been all over creation trying to find someone who doesn't just do great nails, but can actually achieve the look I am going for. She hit every spot on my list.. Smooth acrylic Thin Long and tapered at the tips Doesn't lift at the cuticle Great paint job Then there is Jen! She is a gem! Getting my eyelash extensions with her, for $85 mind you, and she does a fabulous job! $50 fill, you can't go wrong. Over all I feel so welcomed and taken care of at this salon. I have been to many different nail salons and in many different cities and towns. None compare to Tina's! They are so friendly and do such a wonderful job! What they do for a regular pedicure is what you get at other salons as a Deluxe pedicure. They take their time and massage the legs and feet. I love it there. In fact, I drive 20 minutes to go there, even though there are many with a five minute drive for me. Highly recommend! read more

I still love Tina's! Recently visited Tina's for my wedding. My mom, bridesmaids and I went in to get primped for the big day. They were efficient and the services were great. They had even bought some snacks, wine and roses for us. I did however, bring in my own bubbly and snacks. The set up was great. They locked the doors, so we could relax and laugh as we got our nails done. I highly recommend the Spa Pedi and a Shellac French Manicure. Perfection! I love the service I receive here. I love Jen and her family. I feel like family. Always happy with my nail service no matter who I get an appointment with. Jen has always puts customer first. I don't feel pressured to supersize any of my services. 2 weeks ago first set of lash extensions. and I must tell you it's change my life I feel 10 years younger, vibrant and bright eyed. Not a stitch of makeup but lipgloss, in two weeks . I took care of them like she said I was gentle I didn't scrub or use any harsh chemicals or mascara. I just brush them with a little coconut oil or castor oil and I love them I'll never go a day without them again. read more

I usually rant and rave about this salon. I am a regular, however, today I felt like I was treated like a nobody. I convinced my two sisters and mom to come with me to get pedis/manicures. We walk in, everyone says hi, and that was it. We waited for our turn, Tina came over and asked what we wanted, we told her, she told my two sisters to sit in the pedi chairs. My mother and I continued to wait. 5-10 minutes later my sits at a pedi station. As they are enjoying their pedicures, and almost done at this point, Tina walks up to me and says its going to be another hour because an appointment just walked in (10 minutes late btw). I wasn't too happy because not only was I wasting my time waiting and the people I brought were finishing up, I go here often and spend a lot of money and all that was suggested was "can you come back tomorrow?". Needless to say, I got nothing done, went next door to Raspberry Beret (which I love!) bought some new things and met back up with my family. I'm not sure if I will be returning to Tina's, might try out a new salon. read more

I have been going to this salon regularly for more than two years and recommend it highly. Tina treats her customers like family. All of the girls are certified and very friendly. Their spa pedicures are hands down the best I have ever had, thanks to the exfoliating scrub, hot rock massage, hot towels, and new massage chairs. What I also appreciate is their cleanliness and knowledge of sterilization techniques of the instruments they use. I beg you ladies out there to try "SNS" nails. Tina is the only salon around with this technique, which I believe is an ideal alternative to other types of full sets. They are light weight, and stronger. There are also far less chemicals in SNS nails than other methods. read more

I actually like this salon, a lot. So I'm not sure what is up with the first yelper, but it has changed hands since her review, so I beg you Miss. T, come in for another try and ask for Tina. I came in for a full set - they offered my SNS - a new acrylic technique that isn't smelly and very quick, and it makes my nails look more natural than the goopy acrylic that is usually slathered on. (Don't hate on me for my opinion, all you acrylic lovers out there) I've been going since January 2011 and I must say, I am impressed even more each and every time. My sister dragged me here even though I think they are overpriced. My pedicure came out great! My feet were scrubbed and my toes look pretty. The hot stone massage is nice, though not necessary. If this is what they charge extra for then I would be happy to forgo it. The place is clean and everyone is friendly. Went here for a mani and pedi. Received a beautiful pedicure but had many issues with the dip manicure. Not only did she put the wrong color on, then switch it to another I didn't like half way through, she proceeded to electric file my nails and got too close to my skin leaving me with cuts on every finger without even noticing it. Then she went to clean up the edges and my entire pinkie dip nail fell right off! When I got home I realized my thumb nail polish had dripped around and was glued to my finger, not pleasant to remove. Four days later they are already peeling up. On top of all this the salon itself is dirty and two nail technicians were arguing the entire time I was there. read more

I highly DO NOT recommend coming here for eyelash extensions!! I went in for a fill and left SUPER unsatisfied and SO disappointed. There was spaces in my set, she clumped the lashes with a bunch of glue, she glued my bottom lashes to the extensions AND on top of that my eyes were so itchy and she made one of my lashes bend so it keeps poking my eye smh... idk if she was in a rush or what but that is NO EXCUSE. I have been getting the Shellac polish for about a year now (if you haven't tried it... get it! I am never going back to regular polish). I got it the first time at an expensive salon, and while my nails looked fantastic... it was just too expensive. So I have been trying different salons in the area looking for a reasonably priced placed to get it down. I have tried a few places now, and wasn't super happy with any of them (or I would be happy the first time, but then not subsequent times) until I tried Tina's! I'm not sure of her name, but the older woman (I think the owner's mother) does a FABULOUS job! She files them perfectly, is meticulous with her manicures, and really just does a great job applying the Shellac... she knows what she is doing! I have also been here for a pedicure, which was equally meticulous. They really go through the works for their pedicures. All in all, I am a very happy customer :-) read more

All the specialist are good but Amy is my go to girl. She is alway professional and very good at her job. Amy goes the extra mile for her clients. The staff here are very friendly and meticulous about detail and I never leave disappointed. When Tina's happened to be the only nail salon open on Labor Day, I decided to go since I was starting my new job the next day. What a mistake that was. I've already been back once to get my polish changed. The woman who was ringing me up was staring at my nails with a face on (obviously looking at how terrible they looked). The next day when I returned to get the polish changed they said someone put too much water in the polish and the woman said "I forgot to tell you to come back if you didn't like the color. Yeah right. Anyways. It's two weeks after Labor Day and I'm still dealing with the worst infection from a pedicure I've ever gotten. Tomorrow I'm scheduled to get half of my toe nail removed because they apparently used dirty tools, according to my doctor. The total cost of this terrible service. $40 for manicure pedicure $10 tip $50 in copays $10 for antibiotic taken 6x a day for two weeks That doesn't account for the incredible amount of pain my foot has been in for two solid weeks now. Well, this is my first YELP review ..here goes. Myself and my daughter came here regularly (shes 13) we both wanted french mani/pedi because it was french and it was x2 I thought I should make a appointment..so we arrived, and we were immediately seated into the pedi chairs, boiling hot water proceeded to pour onto mine and daughters feet, we both jumped out and asked the girl to make it cooler,after disrupting her she huffed and mumbled words(i could not understand) and made the water at a more reasonable temp.After about 10 minutes she returned,but no one came to my daughter,so,she waited and waited and waited until, I was finally done and her feet were prunes....Getting back to me,my pedi was the worst experience I have EVER had, one of my toes were bleeding and my french polish was a mess she led me too the drying area and said "you no happy" I said nothing at this point because I was infuriated.I was waiting for my daughter to get her feet done which took the girl 5 minutes,her nails were a mess and chipped off the next day.The owner aka Tina asked me to sit to do my french manicure To which I said no thank you.The cost of two pedicures in Tina's is high I don't mind paying a high price for good service.I will NEVER go to Tina's again. read more

Tina's is one of those places that you don't really want to review because you want to keep it a hidden jewel. I went with my aunt yesterday for the best mani/pedi i have had in a long time. Both technicians that worked on my aunt and myself were meticulous, taking their time to make us look our best. There are tons of colors, everything is super duper clean and the pedicure is taken to a whole new level with hot towels and hot stone massage. I went with the shellac manicure and it looks great! My friend got a nice gel manicure, but this is not the place to go for dip powder manicures. The woman who did mine used crusty, probably expired nail polish, left polish all over the sides of my nails, and used a gel top coat that started peeling within one hour of my manicure. If you are looking for a good dip powder manicure, try somewhere else. read more
