To be clear, the male nail tech Patrick was sexually harassing my friend while working on her nails. He was so distracted by asking her how old she was, where she lived, if she had a boyfriend, that she was so pretty, that they should go out sometime, that he liked the way she smelled, that she was so soft, etc that he clipped her skin and over filed onto her skin multiple times and wouldn't let go of her hand. She kept looking at me but was too scared to say anything in the moment. I noticed he would lean in closer to her occasionally, but I didn't realize that that was when he was saying these really inappropriate things to her. I wish I knew so I could have gotten her out of there sooner. Notice how Patrick never denied harassing my friend in his super professional response. On top of everything, the set she got was ugly and poor quality, just like mine (see pics). Ladies, be so careful around that nail tech. He is not one of the girls. It's even more alarming that he's the owner. I can only imagine how he conducts himself with his all female staff in the off hours. Edit: Patrick, please don't lie about this. I was there. Two times my girlfriend has gone here with me and had the Dazzle dry polish which is suppose to last at least a week to ten days. It is important the nail technician wait between coats for this nail procedure. Either they are not waiting enough time between coats or using an old nail product but her nails began to chip in two days. This has happened twice there! A word of advice - best not to show up at opening if you are trying to get somewhere else in a short window. I was there a few minutes past opening time and another person was waiting too, she said they showed up within about 10 minutes the last time. Sure enough they opened, but it looked like the staff were still getting settled in so it was around 10:50 when my service started. So I'll go again, but not at opening. I first moved to West LA, I was in search of my new go to nail salon! I really like this place because it was only a short walk from my apartment, so I really had high hopes for this place! However, the last two times I went, they unfortunately did a horrible job with my gel manicure. Two days after I did, my nails, they already started chipping.... And the lady that redid my nails, unfortunately had a really bad attitude about it and my nails chipped again the next morning. A few other times when I came, they also hurt my cuticles, and at one point, I went home with my nails feeling pretty raw :( I'm a resident physician so I do need to wash my hands a lot, and it just was not very pleasant!! I remember sharing this with my Barry's instructor at one point, and she said that was her similar experience as well sadly! Again, this is my experience here, and I truly wish the best for them, but unfortunately, I got burned too many times coming back to the nail salon, so I found another one a little bit further in Brentwood, that I'm really happy with! Ive trusted her with my engagement + wedding nails, special event nails and everything in between. She always does a great job with the inspo I give her. Also I have pretty weak nails that break easily - so I do a layer of hard/builder gel under my gel manicure and they last a full 3 weeks without chipping, peeling or breaking. Told her to be careful...she pressed it, painfully, at least 5 times. SHe was unhappy with herself for hurting me, but she kept doing it. I don't understand why other reviews...see on right side of screen, were $51.00 and mine was $100, just for a mani....and I didn't even get my short nail extended!! I just moved here from Miami so figuring out where to get my nails done was a real challenge. I found Serenity on Yelp (always thankful) and it did not disappoint. Niki did my nails and another lady did my toes. You can even get a mani / pedi done at the same time! I got a hard gel fill on top of my natural nails ($55) + cut ($5) + the French ($15) + light pink line ($5). I think they charge a lot of little fees but if you want a basic fill or mani/pedi this would be a better spot for that. The pedicure was very relaxing as well. I got a gel manicure and pedicure 2 days ago . The nail technician who did my pedicure cut my toe so badly that it bled the entire hour I was there. She did not attempt to sanitize the cut once, she just kept dousing cuticle remover solution on top of my cut. She proceeded to blame my skin for being "too thin" rather than admitting her mistake. I have never been cut like that at any nail spa. I am sure my big toe is now infected and I am in a lot of pain. Not only that but my hand was also left bruised after my manicure. I also never received a menu for pricing when I sat down and was shocked to have been charged $91 for a basic gel mani and pedi especially after being cut so badly. Normally I'm the kind of person who will wear a gel set for literally 2 months, but since I broke a nail 2 weeks after my last visit (my fault!) and my extensions were already kinda long when I got them put on, I made an appt here. Originally I had gel extensions (not Apres). I texted Patrick from the number posted here and was able to make a next-day appointment since the person who originally did my nails at a different salon wasn't available. My appointment did start 30 minutes after my scheduled time, but I did have a late appt so not too surprised or annoyed. Some of the pictures (user submitted) made me wonder if I made a bad decision making an appt here, but the woman who did my nails did a great job shaping the nails, matching my new extension to work done by a different salon, and applying polish (no pooling or thick application, clean cuticles). Very large selection of gel polish colors aka more than just 50 reds/pinks/nudes. Time: 30min waiting, about 1hr 20min for the actual service. I had a second appointment a few weeks later and also waited 30 min for appt to start. Price: $65 for a fill, new gel polish applied, and one new Apres extension put on. Price: (second appointment) $50 total ($10 nail extensions removed, $40 gel polish manicure). Parking: street. Wilshire is tow-away from 4-7p on weekdays, so best to find parking on a side street. The residential parking is permit only so might take some time to find a spot. Payment: taking Venmo/zelle, CC, and cash to tip. read more

I seriously Cannot stop looking at my nails I love them so much. I also got a pedicure from Holly at the same time today and she made my feet look so amazing. They had parking metered right in front as well as parking on the side streets for free. the inside of the salon was very nice and clean and not busy at all. They took me right away. I had dip powder on from a different salon and they very gently and meticulously took it off and treated my nails with care. I then got dip powder on my natural nails and they were so attentive and paid great attention to detail. My nails feel so thick and strong. Just got a Gel-X manicure here and overall disappointed. While the workers here were really nice and able to squeeze me in for a last minute appointment, I don't think I'd come back here. I never caught the nail tech's name but she was quite rough with me - the initial buffing hurt, the UV light felt like they were burning my fingers at several points, and then she made me bleed. During the process he was also watching a video on his phone and checking texts while buffing/painting my nails. I've never experienced such terrible service at a nail salon place before. I call and schedule an appointment, get there and they make you wait 10-30 minutes, what's the point of having an appointment only policy if you seem to purposely make clients wait? First time they did this to me I waited half an hour for a gel manicure. They prioritize certain clients too. They seem like good people but this is nerve wrecking. They don't care about your time-I understand that sometimes you can fall behind schedule but this happens way to often. After an hour, I asked them who was going to do my manicure. They said someone would come. After two hours of sitting in the chair, I asked again who was going to do my nails. Then, the two nail techs started arguing that none of them wanted to do my nails. They said that they were sorry but it was time to close. I left with only half my appointment completed, and wasted two hours of my time. DO NOT COME HERE. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
