We had the Crispy Garlic Chicken, Basil Fried Rice, Pad See Ew, and sticky rice with mango for dessert, and there wasn't a single thing we didn't enjoy. The place felt like a small canteen. Service: The staff warmly guided me to a seat and poured water -- nothing exceptional, but fine. Dishes: The beef curry wasn't what I expected -- the curry was quite watery, and there wasn't much beef. Just average. Chicken dish: I can't remember the exact name. I've heard a lot about this place, and it's not too far from the salon I frequent. Living in Bangkok I've become a bit picky. I want to give it more stars, but the food was just ok. It's a very small place, and they seemed really busy. I was just taking the food to go. It took a while, but again they seemed busy. It was more pricy than expected. That being said I've been to the fancy that place downtown Seattle, and this little place is way better that's why I have a three star, and more affordable than the fancy place downtown which got a two star from me. So fancy isn't always better. Will a come back? Probably not since there are new Thai places popping up all over the place. read more

We decided to get this the other night for dinner. The Pad Thai and the egg plant was really good. Pad Thai: it was good, had a good amount of veggies. The reason we chose this place was because of the portions. The downside is they made it smaller because the older photos look like the takeout was a lot bigger. They also don't put a lot of chicken in it. The eggplant with tofu was so good, but again, potions were small and barely put tofu. The Panang curry had great flavor but barely had any chicken, and veggies. It was super liquidy and thin. Personally I didn't mind it but my partner wished it was thicker. The pad Thai had good flavor and decent portion size, but it was quite oily l, more than I'd prefer. The noodles had the right texture and the balance of sweet and tangy was there, just wish it wasn't so heavy on the oil. The crispy chicken was actually pretty crispy as advertised, but again, very oily. Used to come here but the food just went downhill. Stopped by today just for their spring rolls and there were no vermicelli noodles in them. I've never seen such a thing. I had high hopes based on the reviews but it was a miss for me. I ordered Pad See Ew with pork (spice level 2) & Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken (spice level 1). Two dishes that I commonly order at any Thai restaurant. Both dishes were lacking salt/flavor and the spice levels were not noticeable. I added soy sauce to the pad see ew to try to enhance the flavor but sadly that did not work - I never have to add flavor to good pad see ews! Also would not recommend the pork with pad see ew, very flavorless. It wasn't terrible but I was just craving for Thai flavors and these dishes fell short of that. I'd maybe give them another try in the future. For now I'll stick to other Thai restaurants in Kent (Grandma Thai Cuisine & Banyan Tree). read more

How have I not visited this place sooner? We live less than 2 miles away and we just had a chance to check out this place last week. Going in, I was a little taken aback because it's not the most organized restaurant in the world. However, we were blown away by the good food and excellent customer service. They were short-staffed and were super busy but the servers were very nice and explained what they're dealing with so we were perfectly ok with the longer wait. Everything was good, but the crispy garlic chicken and the mango sticky rice were my faves! We will def be back! read more

Small family owned Thai place that never fails us!!! My fiancé is part Thai and we were spoiled with great Thai food from LA having lived there for years and he grew up there. We were so so happy to have found Ting Tong Thai near us. There is no dine in option though. Whenever we are getting take out, hands down this is our first choice. Went here with a friend today. Had a hankering for soup. Got the salad rolls with prawns. Their peanut sauce is warm and the best I've ever had! We got beef noodle soup, wanton soup and then fried rice to go. All the food was incredible. The people that work there are super nice and helpful. I ordered from here today on a whim after some shopping. It's not bad! Pretty good, and I'd love to come back if I'm in the area. It's not the best Thai I've ever had but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I only got two dishes, the pineapple fried rice and pad Thai, and I ordered takeout so this review is based on these two dishes only. Th pad Thai was very flavorful and well seasoned. It was actually quite salty so it would have been nice if that was toned down a bit. I got it with chicken and it came with ample chicken which I really appreciated. The pineapple fried rice was, oddly enough, lacking seasoning. I wished it was saltier. There were some small pineapple chunks that helped lend sweetness to the dish. The rice was a little mushy. I did appreciate that it wasn't greasy. I've definitely had fried rice at other places where each individual rice grain was coated in oil, which is not a thrilling thing to eat imo. I preferred the pad Thai over the fried rice. I'd love to try their pad see ew next. For both, the servings were HUGE. With what I ordered, it was enough for 3-4 people to consume. I grappled with the amount of stars for ting tong Thai. But the more I thought about it, what deserves a 5 star review, and I think it means, it vastly surpasses your expectations. I have had a lot of Thai food in Los Angeles, so coming to Kent my expectations weren't that high. But this Thai food is definitely legit! Great taste and flavors, and I kept wanting to eat... even after I was full. Top two things I liked Pad Thai- one of the most common things you can get, some places noodles too dry, sauce to bland or too sweet , or the veggies are not fresh.... This pad Thai is AWESOME... great balance from salty to sweet, great rice noodle texture and great veggies to chicken balance. We ate , had left overs and I finish the dish like 3 hours later, all of it. Crispy garlic chicken- perfectly battered, glazed, and seasoned fried chicken cubes, with the fried basil... with white rice... come on! Grrrreattt!!! (Tony the tiger).. These two dishes got me... We got the pad see ew, which was good, basic... nice tender meat and flat noodle and broccoli, didn't stand out but won't disappoint. Chicken satay good, pretty standard, again didn't stand out but satisfying Beef panang, again tasty standard, didn't standout but fulfilling, I prefer my panang a little thicker but that's just preference. Worth getting if you feel like panang, I'm not the biggest panang fan, but wifey is I would recommend for sure great food with fast service and good price... The Tom Kha soup- which is supposed to have many more ingredients, was just mushrooms, onions and chicken. No cilantro, lime leaves. The crispy garlic chicken tasted a bit like orange chicken with some garlic. It was okay but I expected more given it seems like it's one of their most popular dishes. The papaya salad was good but the shrimp was a little... limp? I'm not sure how to describe it. It looked cooked and tasted cooked but the texture was super soft and flimsy that it didn't feel cooked. Overall I thought this place was okay. I came here with a craving for curry for dinner. I got the Panang curry with chicken and a salad roll with tofu. My husband got pad Thai, and my friend got yellow curry and a cucumber salad. The cucumber salad was pretty basic, it was just some chopped up cucumber, not much to it. The curries were okay, both a bit thinner than I prefer and the chicken was cut thin and dry. My curry also had about 15 pieces of Thai basil cooked in it. I love Thai basil but when it cooks down in a whole leaf it can be pretty overwhelming, so I picked it out. The salad rolls were MASSIVE, super filled and a big side of peanut sauce. Pad Thai was really good, super flavorful, but oily. I got take out so I can't speak much on the service or vibes, but it looked like a normal restaurant! Their food inspection rating did a hit recently, though. read more

NOTE: Food was 5 star as usual, very good; but: it was due to GRUBHUB that I have to give 1 star. This is first time I used Grubhub delivery, which is what comes up when ordering. Nearly 2 whole hours after ordering on a busy Friday night I was just getting exasperated with no delivery when the restaurant called me and asked if I'd gotten my food. Said no, and they said driver had recorded it as already delivered, but the order was still there waiting to go. They said they'd call Grubhub for me. I thought that'd be the end of it; but no. 15 minutes later Grubhub calls back, woman tells me I need to reorder online for them to put the order in to the driver to have them return. "???". They said they'd refund it (and they should refund both the initial charge AND this if you ask me). So another 20 mins go by after I put a re-order through, the driver can't get into our condo property and hasn't got my proper full address because her app doesn't use Google and didn't pull all the info I keyed in and notes, etc. I had given an address that leads any other company directly to my door. Theirs leads only to the wrong entrance of my property that won't unlock. Then the driver keeps yakking at me about the information being wrong!! Like it's my fault?? Finally got her to drive to the other entrance and I had to walk out to our property front gate to meet her to pick up my food. Really unbelievably rude. It has to do with their app requirements, she said. NOT MY PROBLEM. THIS ISN'T HOW YOU HANDLE A CUSTOMER. Food was by then three hours old and we ate it soggy anyway because starving at 9PM!!! Inexcusable!!! I should be refunded for any charge. Ting Tong should drop these Grubhub people, whether it's their management or their technology at fault. It's a disaster. read more
