This is a popular restaurant for ordering delivery, which I know cause I work Uber Eats deliveries and get lots of pickups for here, but I also recommend eating in at this restaurant when you have a chance. Why? Because the young woman who works the front is one of the hardest working restaurant workers I have ever seen and she has a very welcoming, fun personality. Tip her well! The food is also good, but the pad thai noodles seemed a little too sweet. I suggest ordering an entree rather than the lunch combos which I think emphasize too much on the pad Thai noodles which aren't their best offering. Amazing value for delicious Thai food! I live in Seattle and make a point of driving to Renton when I'm craving Thai just to eat here. They offer the lunch combo all day, which is a great price at about $16 for a lot of food. I also love ordering this combo because you get sort of a sampler plate to try different things if you're mood for a little bit of everything. It comes with an entree, white rice, pad Thai, and a choice of potsticker/vegetarian egg roll/crab rangoon. I would personally pass on the crab rangoon because it was a little too creamy for me. I really enjoyed the vegetarian egg roll and would probably choose that again next time. I haven't had the potsticker yet, so I'm not sure what type of filling is inside. When I was done eating, I had enough rice and pad Thai leftover for another meal. The pad Thai wasn't really my favorite as it was a little too sweet. I also don't usually opt for pad Thai in the first place, but it was nice to try it. For entree, I absolutely love the crispy garlic chicken. It tastes exactly as how it's advertised! I could literally eat this every day. It's breaded kind of like orange chicken at Panda Express, but is definitely more crispy than that. The green curry is also a delicious option here, and you can pick your protein (I forget the options but there's definitely chicken and soft/fried tofu). Honestly, I trust that all the entrees here taste yummy and will definitely be back to try them all! You can choose a spice level of 0 to 5 for the entrees. I went with 2, and it was honestly a little too spicy for me I tried the Thai tea and asked for less sweet, in which the server said she could put more milk since it's premade. The drink was still wayyyy too sweet, probably like 125% sweet on a scale lol so I added even more milk when I got home and that made it better. I would just pass on the Thai tea if you don't really like sweet drinks either. It was pretty busy during dinner on a weekday which led to slow service. There was only 1 server for the whole restaurant and we could tell she was busy so we didn't really mind. We order via UberEats at least once a week. Last time they forgot my Thai iced tea. No problem. But this time my beef noodle soup has hard dark items that hurt my teeth. I posted a photo. This time I decided to try their Thai beef salad. I asked for no spice. It arrived too spicy for me that I could not eat it. So basically both my dishes weee a miss. So no dinner for me. I gave them a better rating than normal because my husband likes their curry, and normally we get good food. So not sure what's going on lately. I normally give them 5 stars. I took my friends who were visiting and they were hunger. It has been a year or longer since my last visit. Now they have all day lunch menu. My order was pork basil combo. I was skeptical when I saw pad thai version of this lunch combo. I took a bite and realized it was not bad. The pork basil, the meat was tendon and I can tasted the seasoning. Sometime, if the basil stir fired is slices of meat not ground, the seasoning does not absorbed in the meat. Egg roll was veggie but I got my egg fix. It was about &16 for lunch portion. I still the crispy pork fried rice would have been better option. My friends like their garlic chicken combo and beef stew. Service was good, water was refilled. The portion was really big and felt like there was an entire chicken in there! I tend to like my pad see ew more saucy and this one had the perfect amount. You can taste the wok flavor in the dish and is a must get when you go here. The crispy rice salad was a surprise to me. It was my first time having this kind of salad. It did not disappoint at all. Haven't done a review in a while but here we go. Saw the rating and figured I needed to check this place out. Didn't get a website to work or a menu on yelp so all of my photos are of just the menu. Service was excellent. They were busy with to go orders but the one waitress was all over the place. I don't think my water glass was ever empty. She was kind and would check on us regularly to see if we needed anything. This is our favorite place to order phad se ew! It's so tasty and everything is so fresh. We also always get the chicken thai fried rice. The star that isn't on the menu is their fried chili paste. I've ordered takeout from this spot twice now, and both times the food has absolutely blown me away. The flavors are incredible -- hands down the best Thai I've ever had! I've tried the Pad Thai with tofu and the yellow curry, and both were bursting with flavor, perfectly balanced, and so satisfying. You can really taste the care that goes into the cooking. The food was also ready super quickly, which made the whole experience even better. Great for when you're short on time but still want something truly delicious. If I had one small note, it's that the rice portion that comes with the curry is pretty small -- really only enough for one serving, even though the curry itself is generous enough for two. That said, I've noticed this is common at a lot of Thai places, so I wouldn't take a star off for it -- just something to be aware of. Saw that this was the best rated Thai food on Grubhub (or at least the best rated restaurant with the word "Thai" somewhere on the menu - a few non-Thai places came up, too). Also the prices were reasonable (something to consider when using Grubhub is going to add about $30 to what it would cost you if you dined on site. Ordered the curry fried rice, garlic onion chicken and beef, partial potsticker order, and fried chicken wings. Asked that everything be "not spicy." There is always a chance with Thai food that even the mildest setting will still be spicy and that was the case with the curry fried rice. I thought both the fried rice and the fried chicken were a bit overly dry; the spouse enjoyed everything with no complaints whatsoever. Suggest a slightly bigger container to deliver the chicken, as it was partially open and taped shut; also suggest a slightly larger white rice portion. read more

The pad Thai had a unique flavor - definitely more savory but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The crispy chicken was on point and the potstickers were as good as expected. One note - it was spicier than we expected. We usually get 2 stars but was a wee bit too spicy for my kiddos when we ordered 2 stars for our entrees. If you're spice sensitive, I'd recommend going a star lower than normal - you can always ask to add more spice. Finally got a chance to try this new place close to my house after passing it like a million times. I was really happy with the foods. Their crispy garlic chicken is among one of the best that I've had. I never had pad cha seafood before so can't say how it's supposed to taste but I enjoyed it very much. The seafoods are fresh but I would love the sauce to be a little more punchy in flavor. The Thai fried rice was great and had the wok flavor that I always need in my fried rice. I tried that with Tofu and with they had fried their tofu to add texture or if they want to leave it soft like that, marinade them a little bit. The lady serving us was really nice and attentive. Most seating is booth style but the center of the restaurant has tables that can be pushed together to seat 8. The food was delicious!! The seafood fried rice had generous portions of shrimp and scallops. The Pad Thai and fried egg rolls were tasty. Their pad thai is sweet, tangy, and savory! Mintra Thai is located at a tiny strip so it's very easy to miss and overlook them, but their food and service is great! I appreciate that people can order online for pick-up and that the pick-up process at the restaurant was very convenient (lots of parking). Note that their one star has no spice, so maybe increase the spiciness by two or more stars? The spiciness really helps balance the flavors, even for a sweet dish like pad thai. read more

I think this takes the top spot for Renton Thai places, just edging out Ocha and Five Sisters. All three of these places are great, but Mintra comes just a bit closer to capturing that elusive spark that separates "great" from "really great." We were feeling like eating comfort food when we visited Mintra, and we opted for crispy garlic chicken (pretty bonkers), pad see eiw (pretty bonkers), and a curry (pretty bonkers). The oldest and whitest people I've ever seen were enjoying a similar selection one table over from us, so I think it's safe to say Mintra nails the foundational dishes, the stuff that gets the asses in the seats. They've definitely earned a repeat visit to try some deeper cuts from their menu. read more
