Yellow curry no potatoes added bell peppers and broccoli just how I love it
    Trav H.

This place has been here for ages. I've probably been 5 or 6 times. It's always good imo. The food was delicious. I got yellow curry, no potatoes, add bell peppers and broccoli. They let me alter it so that alone gets a star. I like that the restaurant is actually some grandma's house transformed. The server was nice enough. I was the only person in the restaurant. They get lots of to-go orders though. My personal only critiques are the interior could use a color change/deep cleaning and some kind of divider from the kitchen and the eating area. Also their paper towel dispenser is hella stingy lol

We dined at the restaurant in July 2023. It was a hot day, the AC was on, but the whole place (an d house) was hot from the heat coming from the kitchen. Food was still good, though not as good as I remembered from years ago. I still recommend Grandma's wings. Other dishes we tried - Pad See Ew (not as smokey as I like), basil stirfry with beef, red curry and papaya salad, were all good, but nothing too special. Service is excellent. The waiter told us that him and his wife own the restaurant. He takes care of the front of the house, and his wife cooks in the kitchen. They have owned and run this place for over 10 years. Come and support this small family business!

Lunch Combo (basil chicken & panang curry) $12.95!!!

Dined in for the first time in years and the remodel is BEAUTIFUL. Nice use of a little cozy space! Lunch combo special $12.95 is a steal. It came with choice of select (yet generous) list of chicken/tofu entrees, pad thai, rice, and an eggroll. Ordered the basil chicken combo & panang curry combo. It was perfect and I can see myself definitely returning.

First time to this Grandma Thai place. It actually operates from a family home in Kent, with an elderly gentleman serving customers and the chef who would be his wife, grandma with an assistant cooking in the kitchen. This business is in fact very homely and has the impact of being at someone's home which makes others feel comfortable and relaxed. The menu is well organized and provides popular dishes like Pad Thai, curries, salad and soups etc. We started our meal with their garlic fried chicken, which was rather salty with the black sauce on top, but after removing the top ingridients, the chicken is very crispy and tasty. Pad Thai with tofu was well prepared with a nice aroma of stir fried cooking and the best dish of the meal was the seafood Tom Yum which had the perfect taste with herbs. Spices added the right heat and nice hand picked ingredients i.e, baby squid, scallop, shrimp etc. One of the best Tom yum I experience in the Seattle area. Be aware though, they slap on a service charge. So take notice of that on the check before tipping.

G-ma got it down. She got the recipe down to a T! I was bummed out that G-ma was closed for Christmas. Guess G-ma gotta spend time with Mister Clause and her reindeers. Service is like your typical run down Asian restaurant - zero to none. That's why we always do deliveries! The food is one of the best Thai food in the PNW if not THE best! Pad Kee Mao is super. When I wasn't on my vegan diet, I had the crab fried rice, and boyyyy that was killah! Full of crab meat and the rice was fried just right! The ambience of this place is your typical ma and pops type of deal - not so romantic. More like a grab your buddy let's head out to lunch than a hey honey let's put in a reservation for two for our 25th year anniversary dinner. You get the point! Order to go or Uber eat this place bc G-ma be throwin' it down!

First Impression inside was stuffy no ventilation. Walls were dirty probably from the smoke from the kitchen. Services was ok could have been better . We ordered crab Rangoon, shrimp bikini, chicken pad Thai, rice , sticky rice and red curry beef. Chicken Pad Thai have a spoil smell to it 0/10! Red curry was delicious 9/10! Side of rice was old and mushy 0/10. Mango with sticky rice was good. Coconut straight from the can could have heat it up and add sugar! 6/10. Sticky rice taste old 2/10 Crab Rangoon was ok 4/10 shrimp bikini taste to bland for me 3/10. Prices in the menu didn't match the final bill on certain items. They charge service charge for party of 2!

    Shrimp yakisoba

I'm from out of town here for work and ordered Uber eats. I ordered two meals because I wanted lunch the next day. I ordered shrimp yakisoba and cashew chicken. Wow! The food was so good!! My only complaint was I asked for a level three heat on the yakisoba and there was no heat, but I dipped the juice from the cashew chicken in it and it was perfect. I would highly recommend!

The restaurant is clean and orderly, with music playing in the background. Today, I had the build your own salad. I can say that they have some of the freshest ingredients to build a salad and the options are numerous in your choices to build a salad. I decided to add tuna to my salad. I thought this would be a great touch to such a fresh salad. The Caesar dressing was good and went well with the salad. The most disturbing part of this salad was the tuna. As it turns out, the tuna is canned with a strong fishy smell and flavor. I had assumed that the tuna with be cubed or sliced. This is a great place for vegans and vegetarians as well. Now, the fishy taste of the tuna was so string that I immediately brushed my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. Please keep in mind that these salads start at $12-15 dollars plus the add-ons you like. Since I love salads, I had many extras and the salad was $26. My only regret was that I could not give back the tuna. I will try this place again, but for god sake change the tuna or skip it all together.

I will definitely be coming here again! There are a lot of options for food which can be a little overwhelming. However, it is VERY reasonably priced. $15 for a toast is wild but that's how cafes price things everywhere. However, other cafes smear some avocado on toast and add a tomato and charge you $15, here they give you a whole meal with an egg on top, cucumbers and tomatoes, avocado, and more. It actually feels like it's worth your money. The coffee is good even though it's not too unique. I feel like they used to be a specialty coffee shop before they turned to the crepe/cafe scene. The coffee was very sweet though so I would highly recommend getting it half sweet. The crepe is good, stuffed well and worth the price. It is obviously sweet as well so it's hard to drink a very sweet coffee with a sweet crepe. The barista was kind and helpful with any questions I had when ordering. There was gentleman with a disability ordering before me and the barista was very patient and kind when taking his order. Since it was our first time there, we weren't familiar with the ordering process or menu. I didn't want to hold up the line trying to decide what to order, so I asked if we could sit down first and look over the menu. She cleaned off a table for us, but then told me I needed to hurry up and order because she didn't want other people getting upset about how long it would take me to decide. I didn't respond and simply waited until we were ready to order, which only took about four minutes. What confused and upset me was that shortly after, a white man came in and she told him he could sit down, take his time, and order whenever he was ready because "it's not busy." The difference in treatment was very noticeable and honestly made me uncomfortable as an African-American woman. Maybe this was a misunderstanding, but the interaction did not sit right with me. I believe every customer should be treated with the same patience and respect, especially first-time customers who are simply trying to understand how the restaurant works. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and does better moving forward. This needs to be addressed immediately not deleted

Walking inside, the interior feels inviting and thoughtfully designed, with a clean, modern aesthetic softened by warm lighting and natural tones. There's a noticeable balance between openness and coziness, and plenty of seating options--from small tables for solo diners to larger spaces for groups--making it easy to settle in without feeling crowded. The food itself leans heavily into comfort, starting with the Grilled Cheese, which delivers a surprisingly nostalgic bite. The crisp, buttery bread gives way to perfectly melted cheese, instantly reminiscent of childhood lunches. Paired with the Tomato Soup, the experience becomes even better--the soup's creamy, smooth texture complements the sandwich beautifully, creating that classic combination that feels both simple and deeply satisfying. Another standout was the Asiago Croissant Twist, which offered a flaky, airy texture with a subtle richness from the cheese. Each bite had a delicate crispness on the outside while remaining soft and layered within, making it an easy favorite for something lighter yet indulgent. The Cranberry Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich was equally impressive, bringing together a balance of flavors and textures. The chicken salad was creamy without being heavy, while the cranberries added a gentle sweetness that contrasted nicely with the savory elements. The walnuts provided a slight crunch, rounding out each bite and giving the sandwich a more elevated feel. Overall, Panera Bread delivers a well-rounded experience--comfortable seating, a welcoming atmosphere, and food that manages to feel both familiar and thoughtfully prepared.
