My only main critiques are that the seating isn't very comfy, and the price off appetizers is too high imo. The chicken wings were hard and over cooked but still raw next to the bone. The sweet and sour chicken wasn't really sweet and sour. There as so much batter on it. Ordered a 1 star and it was more like a 3 star. It is the worse food I haven't eaten in a long time. I only ate one chicken wing and about 2 bites of the sweet and sour chicken. I have tried many thai restaurants in Kent and the surrounding area and this is 100% my favorite. We usually order the pad kee mao with beef and the pad Thai. Along with Thai iced tea as well. We wanted to try this Thai restaurant out after hearing that our cousins liking the food. The inside is decorated gorgeously and the service is good. The staff there are very kind. We had the chicken phat Thai, Ka-prao Kai dao, and yellow chicken curry. The phat Thai I thought was a little sour, but still good. For the Ka-prao Kai dao, that was good to me. Wow! This place knocked my socks off with a POW! of flavor. They have a new customer and I'm thrilled it's not too far out of the way for me. I had the,,, Ka-Prao Gai Kai Dao / Stir-fried ground chicken breast with garlic, Thai basil sauce, green bean, bell pepper, onion and Thai basil leaves. Served with Jasmine rice and Thai-styled sunny side egg. It was fantastic and the restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. The service was very friendly, kind, and informative. Ordered Phad kee mao today and it was so bland that I'm upset they even served it. Noodles had a tiny bit of sauce, so little that I could barely taste it and when I bit into the chunk of noodles, the inside was white. Whoever fried it didn't even take the noodles apart. I am a big Thai food fan. Today I tried Thai Chili Restaurant in Kent for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. A young lady greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and was shown to a table. The restaurant was impeccably clean and decorated in a casual Thai motif. They have a large varied menu with a great selection of Thai favorites. Faced with so many choices I ordered the first thing on the menu, the Love Meat Combo. I like very spicy food and ordered 5 stars. Thai Chili really delivered on the heat while the signature flavors of Thai food came through. I also ordered an appetizer of fried calamari (onion ring style squid). Loved it. Mixed feelings about this review. Decor is spot on! Love how this space has been updated since its previous owners. Feels bigger than it is! Service is excellent! Very attentive, friendly and helpful. I would definitely return just for this alone! Food "meh". My friend and I had a variety of dishes that included crispy garlic chicken, yellow curry and swimming rama. Crispy chicken was not crispy and the batter was off. Tasted like frozen food. Peanut sauce for the rama was on point and was above "meh". curry was more runny than typical thai curry so i'm not sure what happened. I would definitely try again for the decor and service and perhaps give the other dishes a try. read more

Great restaurant! I can't believe this place has been in this location for 3 years and I didn't even noticed. The business has been around Kent for almost 20 years. Family business. Mom (chef) and daughter. Great food. Clean and open with nice umbrellas decorations throughout the restaurant. Usually I order Pad Kee mau in most Thai restaurants so I can easily compare the quality. Today, I saw something I don't normally see on the menu, so I decided to order that as well. It fits my cravings. I want soup and I want wide rice noodles. The Tom yum noodle soup was perfect. Probably should have 2 stars instead but 3 is plenty of heat. I asked the friendly owner if I can order this with the wider rice noodle (similar to Pad Kee Mau) and she said yes. I would try that next time. As for the Pad Kee Mau, it was not disappointed. It has the char flavor that I like and well balanced basil and spice. Definitely one of the better one I have had. They also have Thai green tea. Not my taste but my wife likes it. I tend to stick with the traditional iced tea. But the color definitely looks attractive. After talking to the owner for a while, understanding half of their business has been reduced. My boyfriend and I decided to meet up with my best friend for dinner, and she wanted Thai. We were trying to find somewhere relatively close to Kent Station, and I remembered that this place was in the same parking lot as my favorite pho place... So we gave them a shot! The inside is pretty standard for what you'd expect of a Thai joint. Traditionally decorated, clean, etc. Service was pretty normal as well - staff was nice and food came quickly. I ended up going with the Chicken Pad Thai and my boyfriend got the Pineapple Fried Rice. The Chicken Pad Thai was good, but I have anoter place in Kent that's my go-to for Thai food and I still think they do it best. All in all, it's a solid spot for Thai if you're in this area and worth checking out if you're on the hunt for a new spot/just looking to try something new. I'd be interested in coming back to try their Thai Green Tea and Chicken Panang Curry to see if it stands up next to the other place that I frequent. read more

Stopped in for lunch while on Jury Duty and I'm glad I did. I visited their old location on Washington a couple times but like their new location better downtown Kent. I decided to have the Cashew Chicken lunch special with Pad Thai and enjoyed the large portion. I asked for no onions but they made it with onions anyway but when I told them it was no problem. They just hapily whipped up a new order. The wait staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating and I very much appreciate that. It's only two blocks from Kent Station and the train station so I plan to visit many more times and enjoy the rest of the menu. Food was mid, Chicken pad thai was overly mushy. Panang curry had little to no flavor and we asked for two star but it had no spice at all. Didn't even finish it because it wasn't good.
