Was visiting my grandparents who live near by and my grandpa loves Thai so we thought we'd take him out and this place has some of the strongest reviews in the area and it did not disappoint. Had the green bean chicken and fresh rolls and mango lemonade. What I wasn't expecting was fresh mango in the lemonade - so pleasing and not overly sweet. Chicken and fresh rolls were clearly made on the spot and came out as they were ready so they were so hot. Nice indoor that's kept clean with great food and kind service. Probably my favorite Thai restaurant in the south end. Be careful as you may drive right past it and not even notice it from 99. It's a small green building on your right if you're heading north. It's nothing to look at from the outside, but the server was very nice and the place was cute inside. It has an excellent rating on the outside when we arrived too. Parking is easy and it looks popular. We had 2 dishes: a tofu dish and an eggplant dish. Both were good and definitely had a variety of vegetables too. The price was reasonable as well. Came back and ate at the restaurant with my hubby instead of doing take out and service is great they get super busy with take out orders but the ambiance is great and food was so good. The fried rice was our favorite. Duck was okay wasn't as crispy as we wanted and eggplant could have been cooked a little longer but the seasoning was on point. We will come back again! read more

Kwan Tip Thai has become our go-to local Thai restaurant until we discover a better kitchen. Our usual order will always feature Pad Thai as it's my partner's favorite dish. Oh, a side of peanut sauce is obligatory. Vietnamese rolls, Tom Yum soup, Red Curry, and papaya salad are other items we enjoy but obviously not all at the same sitting. Kwan Tip Thai, a quaint little restaurant on PAC Hwy that puts out the greatest Thai dishes. I believe the owner painted the exterior of the restaurant lime green so guests wouldn't miss it. If you blink, you'll drive right past it. Parking is a bit hit 'n miss due to 3-4 other businesses being in the same location. Do a Google Map to guide you.. Service is outstanding and dishes are authentic and delicious. Everything time I visit I (must) order the Tom Yum Soup, which IMHO is the best of all the other Thai restaurants I've frequented. The female owner and her son run the restaurant with efficiency while offering personable conversation. I really wanted to like this place but my experience didn't quite match the revise that were shown. Maybe is was just a bad day to come in. I ordered a Phad Thai, Tom yum, and Papaya salad and picked it up so I did not dine in. The pad Thai had good flavor but had too much of a mushy consistency because the noodles were overcooked. Tom yum was lacking little sweetness and was too salty for my taste. Papaya was nice and spicy which I love! The servers were nice and thoughtful. We popped into this establishment, after failing to find a reliably vegan-options Korean spot in Federal Way, and gotta say, we scored finding this lovely place! Not sure if it's typically busier, since we arrived after the busy lunch hour, but we more or less had the place to ourselves, minus one other small party. I ordered a vegan tofu eggplant dish, veganized (no fish sauce) and it was a very generous and hearty portion of deliciousness - I had enough for leftovers.
