I paid for 4 lanes for a birthday party. When I told them someone else was bowling on one of the lanes that I paid for. They did nothing to correct the situation. I myself had to confront the people and kick them off the lane that I was paying for. They brought out the pitchers of pop with the pizza. When we were running low I asked for refills. They do not give refills and you have to pay for another pitcher. Each pitcher costs $7.50. And so I bought some more. And the pitchers were not even the same size! Ordered mozzarella sticks and nachos. They didn't even give sauce with them. Had to go back up and get sauce. The process for adding names to play a game is not very user friendly. Tinley Bowl is right there for you in either aspect - doing what it needs to do to satisfy your need to occasionally bowl. The secret at Tinley Bowl is the bar menu. There's nothing ground breaking here as far as selection goes, but they do a great job of preparing better than average pizzas and nachos for a decent price. The cracker-crust pizzas, cut into squares, are strangely addictive.. I really can't pinpoint the exact reason why it's so good, but it is. The deluxe nacho platter features freshly fried chips with ground beef, nacho cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa and sour cream. It is plenty big enough to share and is a great value. I will not return to this place. Every single I've been there, different problems happen with pins not resetting, scores getting messed up, etc. This hasn't happened to me at other bowling venues. And the last time I was there, I accidentally left my gloves, which I didn't realize until I was home for a while. I called and was told the gloves were found and were put in a lost-and-found bin at the front desk. This place is dirty!!!! Besides the fact that it needs a major remodel, this place is gross. There are napkins, drink cups, trash, plates everywhere. I went into the bathroom to wash my hands and the women's restroom had no soap in either of the 2 soap dispensers. They had a bunch of sanitizers that were also out of sanitizer gel. The amount of people coming out of the restroom, without washing their hands and sticking their fingers in the bowling balls is COVID-41 waiting to happen. Came in on Wednesday afternoon to bowl and brought a small personal bottle of alcohol. I began bowling and noticed that the ball I was using was too big, so I left my lane to search for a smaller ball. Once I got back to my lane, my bottle was gone. I didn't know what happened, so we to management. The heavy set, grey bearded manager got loud, and told us that he threw it out. We told him that he should've told us that liquor was not allowed in the place and ask that we take it to the car, but he waited for the 1 minute we left our area to come take the bottle. Then, when we confronted him in a calm manner, & he started yelling saying it was common sense not to bring alcohol into the place, and that he will call the police for having open liquor in the car. Their horrible reaction to our not knowing the policy made me feel very uneasy about supporting their business, & I had to get my money back. read more

Last night my child and friends decided to go to Tinley bowl as a fun after prom outing. Many of the patrons began to leave upon their arrival. Nothing was thought of it although they were the only African American people there. The bowling alley is supposed to close at 12 yet closed at 11. It's mighty funny that as soon as they arrived and the other patrons hurried to leave they decided to close early. If I could give this place no stars I would! After reading some comments I see every non-white customer has experienced some of what we have, bigotry at its finest! The bartender, of whom I recorded, snatched a drink from my had after I walked near the bar to throw out my gum saying he didn't serve me it, I let him know my boyfriend had it for me when I came from the restroom didn't know it was an issue, he said I didn't have ID, I for sure did as I am well over my 20's, so is he, I showed him as soon as I got it out, I asked that he refund me for the drink he now had with Covid no way was I drinking it, he refused, I asked for him name and owners name to make a full report of the incident and how rude he was treating me, he demanded the guy at the front desk to call the police saying I was "harassing him", police came and he claimed to "feel threatened" by me, a very small African American lady who was extremely professional and polite, he was using white privilege to suddenly allege a fake threat to get me removed from the place he didn't want us at to begin with, even made all white customers drinks before mine as my boyfriend stood politely at the counter waiting on it which was told to me later, police asked he give my $ back able to tell the guy was being racist, he refused making up all sorts of things until I asked that police make a full report documenting the incident with my name and his so I could report the discrimination, then he asks them to give me my $ back knowing he was wrong on all levels, anyone reading this I ask that you take caution at an establishment like this who does not practice equal treatment for all and who will use the police as a weapon for bigotry cover up versus truly using them to protect and serve read more

First off, I didn't even know this place existed. Secondly, didn't know they had a pretty big outdoor area with bags, vollyeball, and horseshoes. Went here over the weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had the entire outdoor patio section. You have to walk through a smaller disconnected bar/shack to get to it. Plenty of tables/chairs, actually a large space. I have a feeling that if our group wasn't there, the place would have been empty. Even inside of the bowling alley, it was empty - only a few lanes occupied and the large indoor bar was empty. Interesting layout. Paid for me and my boyfriend to have drinks, first round perfectly fine, because of Covid, any logical person that pays attention the news outside of the drama in their life, knows that the DMV's are closed currently and an Illinois ID is valid after expiration till late March because of covid and clearly states so on the government website, and they wouldn't serve me two drinks or my boyfriend even after he presented his expired ID and FOID card, appears the place doesn't keep up with what's happening, what's funny is I am a small short 22 year old and my boyfriend is 26 and clearly looks so. First round is okay to not ask for ID but When two Identifications are presented all of a sudden they want to act like they follow protocol that they clearly didn't initially follow? Beats me. The server was extremely rude after me (being a server) presented him with the information we clearly follow at my restaurant and acted like I was stupid and treated us both disrespectfully and what's funny is there was a will county cop and we asked him on our way out and he agreed with us, ignorance is not bliss, just lost our business! I used to bowl league there and probably will return now that Orland is closing. The lanes are in good shape. John is a great guy, and the food was always edible. I'll miss Orland, but have had many good memories here over the years. I practice bowled here just recently and all is fine. read more

I had an hour or so to kill and wandered into the sports bar for quick cold one. And cold it was. Sam Adams pints for $3, coors light for $2.50. Plenty of room, lots of tv's. And Jackie the bartender was quick and attentive. Didnt bowl, but wanted too. I didnt sample the food, but they had a 1lb bacon cheeseburger for $9 and my favorite a grill cheese with bacon. One of the people behind the desk said me and my friends couldn't use a bowling ball because it would "crack" the pins. We used the bowling balls the bowling alley provided. The man behind the counter said it was the rules that we couldn't use the 9lb ball and said we would be kicked out if we used it again. This place is as big as a postage stamp and well worn. We were outside for a bday party. I had no idea that they had the volleyball court and bags on the side of the building. The bar is off the patio, but you have to go inside to access the washrooms. The interior of this place has seen one to many bar fights! Tinley park bowl. Let's start with the good. League manager John is great. Super nice guy always willing to help. Cheap. Their prices are always reasonable. I won't Pay 4 to 5 dollars a game when I'm bowling 5 at a time. Reasonably priced drinks. The lanes are in good condition. This is the most important. I enjoy supporting places like this over some dumb Brunswick zone. The displays and scoring machines are decent. The bad Why did you start charging me for a water cup? I spend a lot of money at your alley and now I have to give you 50 cents for water? Come on. The lanes and ball returns are problematic sometimes. It's annoying, but not ridiculous. They messed up my ball once but the pro shop fixed it for free. That was good to see. The staff always seems displeased to be there or help you. They aren't rude, it just seems like you're bothering them anytime you approach them. You're losing money making me pay up front. I always end up bowling more than I initially planned. I guess maybe you have alot of bowl and dash people and if so, that sucks. read more

Place is a total dive, and not in a good old school bowling alley way! Nothing worked, overcharged us for drinks then didn't fess up. We caught it when someone overheard the bartender point it out to the other bartender and they let us know. Bathroom smelled like something died and they misled us on open bowl. Me and my friends entered the Tinley Park bowling alley at 9 o'clock on a Thursday night, we rarely spend any time at this bowling alley because of the poor things that we have heard from others in the community about the employees and standards of the establishment. Upon arrival, 3 people of our 9 person group had not arrived yet and a bald man with glasses refused to serve us because our entire party had not arrived, even though we had made it clear they were minutes away. He continued to be condescending to us because we all arrived at the Bowling alley at 910, and he said that we would not be able to finish 2 games by 11. Although we said we did not care if the second game couldn't be finished, he continued to be rude and speak u for his breath about us. At about 10:35 he approached my group and very rudely kicked out one of my friends for "throwing a ball too hard". We all decided to leave because of how we had been treated, but wanted to speak with the man before we left. He decided to hide in the back room for several minutes while multiple other employees were sent to bring him out to talk to us. When he finally came out, he said that it is private property and that he had the right to refuse service which is true. With that being said, I will recommend to anybody not to visit this bowling alley. If I could give this a -42 out of 5 stars I would. read more
