So this little donut airstream trailer has become my favorite place for a Friday morning treat. These donuts are tiny bites of Heavenly yumminess. So soft. So flavorful. So pillowy. Each flavor offered is delicious (Yes, it's true - I've tried them all - unapologetically!). I recently tried the lemon - the last of the flavors to indulge in - and oh my Wowsers!!!! Incroyable (Fr. Incredible)! Not only are the Heaven-blessed tiny edible pillows crazy good, but the simple one-flavor-offering in a cup of coffee is a pretty darn good coffee flavor. The owner Mike Mogul is awesome, and they have donuts to match his charm. Their donuts easily outmatches what Whole Foods sells on weekends, but much more affordable. Mike is also very generous with the portions. A "secret" I've learned this morning is that they technically have more than 3 flavors -- you can request plain donuts if you'd like, and Mike would also be happy to mix flavors for you. I tried these donuts for the first time this past weekend. We got classic glazed. I was surprised to find that all of their donuts start out the same, but you have your choice of toppings to put on them like icing for glazed, cinnamon sugar, etc. The donuts are a cake-like donut with a slight almond flavor. They are light and fresh! I personally prefer the standard donut, instead of cake, otherwise I would have probably rated these five stars. They are very moist and icing was plentiful. I would like to try other flavors, which on the particular day I was there included lemon and chocolate. ***Important to know-they are sold in the quantity of a dozen for $6. You then pick the topping you want, so it is difficult to try more than one flavor. read more

We love Tiny Little Donuts! It is in a great location (with parking!!) and is our new favorite donut shop. The lemon glazed and cinnamon sugar donuts are amazing! The staff is always so nice and they even have picnic tables outside to enjoy the little donuts right when your order is ready. They also had a water bowl for our dog and even gave him a treat! I tried the glaze, my traditional "go to" flavor at any donut shop. Very good. Friendly owners. Much better warm. Once they cool off the donut texture seemed a little stale and the glaze actually seems to lose flavor. But a great little treat warm a ready to eat. I ordered two dozen, one dozen of glazed and one dozen lemon glazed, They informed me that the donuts go in the same container, so (the glazes)will run together when they drizzle them on top...I asked to keep the flavors separate, the owner was friendly and accommodated the request with 2 different containers but let me know that could not happen if they were busy with more customers. The donuts are all askew in a container and they just pour different glaze flavors over them all together. So I am not understanding the concept of separate flavors, if all flavors are just all lumped together in one container. But over all very friendly and tasty. And the Airstream is very bright and clean. read more

Although I've never met a donut shop I didn't like, Tiny Little Donuts (TLD) deserves a stop during your early morning commute or weekend Franklin excursion. Located in a vintage-look Airstream trailer just north of downtown Franklin on Hillsboro Road as it becomes 5th, TLD serves just donuts and coffee. It is easy to miss as the TLD is outside of the downtown village area. Your choices are simple: one kind of small cake donut with four choices of toppings/glazes: powdered sugar, lemon glaze, plain glaze and cinnamon sugar. No question as to their freshness as you can plainly see a tiny little donut-making machine rhythmically frying, turning and tumbling out the product in plain view. I tried a box of the powdered sugar, lemon glaze and cinnamon sugar. Each were delicious, very tender, wonderful vanilla flavor, light but filling. I won't compare them to Krispy Kreme or Five Daughters because TLD donuts are their own thing, more reminiscent of a Cafe du Monde beignet in New Orleans (probably on purpose). The staff were very pleasant and accommodating (why not, they're selling hot, delicious donuts!) Three boxes of little donuts (each with about a dozen) plus a cup of coffee was around 20 dollars. The donuts were enough to feed 5 adult morning snackers without bogging us down. In case you wondered, the donuts stayed warm during the 15 minute ride home. Only down side for me was the coffee, a bit of a strong brew for donut go-with and I am hoping the management will invest in better cups, as the current ones impart a definite cardboard taste to the coffee. This place is a definite stop for me next time I'm cruising F-town (I know, not a thing). Thanks, TLD, for adding to the Franklin experience. read more
