I was so happy to see this hidden gem survived the pandemic and is still thriving! My sister wanted French patisserie and she was shocked when I told her about Tiny Pyramid, she had no idea it existed. Located off Nimitz Highway in the old Pacific Gentry Center, now called Na Lama Kukui Center, Tiny Pyramid is serves lunch and dinner in addition to coffee and pastries When we rolled up, the outdoor dining area - which is under cover within the center - was almost filled with diners, some of whom had glasses of wine with their meals. We asked, and it's BYOB - but they have wine glasses to cater to guests who want wine with their meals. Their menus look amazing, from baked lobster and escargot appetizers to Lamb Wellington as an entree - and that's just lunch! But it's the dessert case that's the main attraction for me. They offer more than 40 French style patisseries, including their eponymous Tiny Pyramid cake. After hearing so many repeated great reviews over the years, I decided to make reservations for a last minute Sunday brunch. Easy to call for a reservation and lots of free parking! Whoot whoot, I'm in! Unfortunately, I should have done more research before diving in. Maybe my expectations were set too high. I loved the concept of the covered "outside" dining as although restaurants had opened up, we didn't want to be crammed into a small area. The whole reason for this gathering was to catch up casually after church with someone returning to Hawaii for a short stay. I was familiar with the location and set up, but was disappointed to be greeted by a 90 minute dining limit sign as our first encounter with this restaurant. No other instructions nor a greeter was there so it was a bit confusing. I get it, Covid is still here, but how about another sign on where to go? We stood on the side and followed guests who seemed to be regulars leisurely walking in with their Sunday paper... maybe they don't enforce the 90 minute limit. After perusing the menu, we made our choices and went into an enclosed area after waiting our turn for limited entry. Wow, lots of pastries in the chilled glass showcases. They were artfully decorated and beautiful. I inquired if we order here or with the waitstaff. I was told either way, but if we wanted takeout we should come back in later. All the dishes were presented beautifully, but unfortunately the portions are tiny like the restaurant's name. Don't plan on sharing. Everyone expressed their entrée was just okay. Service is a bit slow and the staff is not what I would call engaging. Very little contact or exchange of conversation. Upon leaving, we did purchase the tiny pyramid and a few other desserts. They pyramid is rich and decadent do the smallest size is more than plenty. I would have to say the desserts are beautiful, but I would probably not return. read more

The Soft Shell Crab BLT was crispy and had a lot of flavors. The first bite that I had was good, but the sandwich fell apart immediately and the avocado oozed out and got on my hand. I was impressed by the avocado layer and the dressing for the salad. The bread was the right amount of crisp. The service was pretty quick because I knew what I wanted as I have come here before. Nestled in the former Pacific Gentry Center on Nimitz, this place has ample parking and a unique vibe. Imagine chilling in a cafe that's smack-dab in the middle of some home design stores--it's casual, kinda industrial, and yeah, maybe a bit dim, but that's part of its offbeat charm. Service is casual and heads up, they don't split checks, so bring cash unless you want to play a round of "Who's gonna Venmo who?" The desserts are the headliner here--they are all very pretty. The pastry chef here really puts in the work. The chocolate pyramid is their Mona Lisa and. I really liked their mini cheesecakes. But given the price, it's not an everyday kinda spot, maybe more of a "treat yourself" place. I was really excited about their lobster pad thai but it just didn't hit the spot for me. This is one of those restaurants that I knew I shouldn't expect great food from, but still visited regardless because of the aesthetic and hype, in hopes of it living up to the raving reviews. My sister made a 12p reservation my family because she knew I wanted to try it ever since they rebranded out of JJ French Pastry & Bistro years ago. We got to the restaurant and were confused on whether to check in inside, or wait outside for a server. We waited about 5 minutes before getting checked in and were shown to our table. It took a while for the server to come back after we initially told her we needed a minute. We got 3 entrees, 3 cakes and a small corn soup to share among the 4 of us. We waited a little over 45 minutes for our food and in the meantime we looked at the cake choices. The worker that helped us from thereafter, Lesly, was really nice (and a fellow #ARMY!) and gave us all her best cake recommendations. The Yellow Curry (tofu - $14) came with a cute little jasmine rice pyramid and although I did enjoy the curry, it was a bit lacking in flavor when it comparing it to my other favorite thai restaurants. the Soft Shell Crab BLT ($16) was fried nicely and I liked the addition of the avocado, but the dressing of the salad seeped all onto the bottom of the bun, making it really soggy, while the top bun was quite dry. The Cheese Ravioli with Lobster ($22; 5 pcs) had great flavor, and we chose the pink sauce (other options; red or white) which was a nice balance from the cream sauce and umami from the tomato sauce. although the lobster and all the veggies were cooked very well, the ravioli skin was a little too thick for my liking. The Cream of Corn ($5) had a weird texture from the corn since they creamed it just enough so that there were tiny kernels that almost felt like bits of quinoa speckled throughout the soup, instead of full kernels or a fully creamed soup. The Strawberry Shortcake $5.95 wasn't super sweet which I loved and had layers of cream and strawberry between the cake, but I think the cake itself was a tad bit too dry for me. Same with the famous Chocolate Pyramid ($6.95) - it was super rich and decadent, but the cake at the bottom again was just the slightest bit too dry. The Macadamia Tart ($6.50) had a nice, thick, buttery crust and was speckled with whole macadamia nuts. This was probably my favorite dessert. All of the dishes and desserts were quite average to us, and since all the seating is outside, I felt like we were swatting flies for a good majority of the second half of our meal. I'm really glad I finally got a chance to try it, and I'm super thankful for the kind, helpful service, but it's not a place I see myself visiting again anytime soon. read more

Admittedly, this was our second choice for a dinner gathering - we wound up here after discovering our first choice was closed. But it will be my first choice going forward! Not crowded at all on a Monday night. We called ahead but were able to walk right in. It's a small place - maybe 6 or 7 tables. You would NEVER know it was here. Tucked in a dated mall of home-improvement, flooring, and window showrooms, it was a diamond in the rough. Seating is out in the atrium, but there wasn't a ton of foot traffic in the evening. Service was excellent, understandable when there were only a couple groups in the place. We opted for the prix fixe, and our server gave us spot-on suggestions. For right around $40, we got a soup (or salad), appetizer, main course, and our choice from the EXTENSIVE pastry case. Dinner choices were interesting and varied - I chose the Cornish hen, which had a curry flavor among more traditional accompaniments like mashed potato and steamed veggies. The corn soup with crab didn't taste too summery for being served in a seasonal snowman cup. We each ordered different appetizers and there were enough pieces to share. But can we talk about the pastries? Because they're the real star. So. Many. Choices. Total decision paralysis, but that's what to-go boxes are for, right? We each opted for one dessert there, and then took a few home. Nicely sized portions of everything - I didn't feel too stuffed by the time dessert time arrived, and the sweet finish at the end was just the right amount to cap off the meal. No matter what your preferences, you'll find something here. Fruit tarts, chocolate, cheesecakes, local style flavors, European tastes, all with unexpectedly beautiful presentation given the location. They open at 11, which is a little late for a morning coffee-and-pastry treat, but that is an option beyond dinner. You would never expect this tiny little cafe/restaurant/bakery to be tucked away in here. They did a decent job of creating an outdoor dining experience (which I assume was due to covid) and they of course still have the decadent Tiny Chocolate Pyramids. I would truly recommend ordering takeout. Pros: -Everyone LOVED their dessert selection- would definitely recommend coming to pick those up. Inside, they have a huge glass case of all the desserts. YUM! Cons: -The food took FOREVER. I believe we spent nearly two hour there (they have a sign that says seating is limited to 90-minutes) because the food took a really long time to hit the table. -Okay, I'm a big fan of big portions... that's not what you get here. While reading the menu one of the staff asked me to come inside and take a look at their baked goods OMG heaven I stepped into heaven, ordered a bunch of cookies, varieties cheese cakes, mousse cake oooo dang, then decided to have lunch, little set up tables and chairs outside covering. This is one of my favorite places to eat. They have excellent and consistent food prep, presentation, and delectable tasty food. I cannot say enough about this establishment. My friends jump for joy when I mentioned this place and favorite of there's too! The high ceiling and sit down planters adds to the ambiance. The noise level can get loud if tables are packed and friendly staff. Blue crab corn chowder soup was creamy, sweet, and chunks of crab meat....very nice! Appetizers: Lobster roll with a small alfalfa sprout salad with minced cucumbers and tomatoes covered with avocado dressing....refreshing, creamy, and slight crunch. It has merriment of flavors. Lobster baguette was rich. I could have eaten this only. Fried soft shell crab with a small side salad...soft texture (crispy). 1st time here and this review is solely based on their takeout desserts. Not only are these desserts pleasing to the eye but the taste buds as well! Parking was easy and the staff was friendly. Every dessert was delicious! The chocolate desserts were very rich and decadent. I could only have 1 or 2 bites and I definitely recommend something to drink to go along with it. The frou frou was my favorite and the lilikoi cheescake was my 2nd favorite. I enjoyed everything but the cherry brandy in the pistachio mousse...it reminded me of cough syrup! I've been here twice since I work nearby. I ordered a sandwich and a salad with a lychee, lime cheesecake and a pyramid truffle the first time and a Thai Thai with chicken the second time. I should have learned from my first experience. Salad and sandwich was tiny, overpriced and mediocre. The salad dressing was the best part of the meal. Desserts were SO PRETTY, that's why I bought them but they were not worth it. My second visit I tried the Thai Thai with chicken. Very first bite I take I get eggshells. Right off the bat it was a bad experience. I figured it's a simple mistake so I keep eating. Chicken was dry and tough so lucky it was sliced thin. One flavor note little ball of mush. Interesting pastries from this restaurant that's "hidden in plain sight" along Nimitz Hwy. This review is based mostly on picking up dessert treats and a few takeout food items. I've never dined in. The dessert pastries are delicious. My favorite is the Tiny Pyramid. It's made from different chocolates mostly of mousse (not to be confused with a chocolate mouse, which is what my spell check would like you to read). The other fruity ones are also good, I get those sometimes when I want to change it up. The food... I've only had a couple of items. One was Lobster Pad Thai. The food has been ok, but not memorable. One day I will try dining in, but for now, it's just a quick stop to satisfy my desire for chocolate and geometry. read more

2-21-22 Lunch at Tiny Pyramid was a first for us today. When we arrived an employee asked, do you have reservations? I nodded no. She then said I just had a cancellation and removed the reserved designated sign on the table. The three employees we had interactions with for ordering, filling our water glasses and taking our order were very pleasant and kind. Today Doc and I were on the same food ordering brain wave. We selected soft shell crab blt which came with a salad. I asked for a decaf iced coffee and the nice man said he could do an iced Americano. The brew smelled good and the taste was bold thus the addition of 3 half n half and 3 sugars. I liked the glass it arrived in. Hubs ordered a croissant sandwich for this midday meal. Doc went inside to purchase some pastries to take home. She came out with a box of six very indulgent looking desserts. Once home we shared three and will have the other three to share tonight. My favorite dish is the Khao Sui, a curry-ish pasta dish. It's so flavorful and pairs nicely with the fettuccine. I've had a number of other items here before but always end up with this. For dessert, the cheesecakes are delicious and the lighter cakes are better than the fruit tarts (sorry, but I can make a better one) and chocolate options (I'm neutral when it comes to chocolate). It's popular for lunch and quiet for dinner, which is terrific if you want to be able to talk with your friends. Oddly nestled in the front hall of a design center mall, people come for the innovative and carefully made Vietnamese-Southeast Asian-French fusion cuisine. I had a lamb puff pastry which was delicious, but somebody's pasta went unfinished. I'm told the pizzas are a treat. And you must top off the meal with a dessert, preferably with a crust. Parking is ample as was seating which is well spread apart in the middle of home design stores. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing, with kind of an industrial feel. The lighting was a bit dim and acoustics were weird for me , but my friend liked its semi open air feel she said felt like LA. The menu offers many selections including a variety of interesting appetizers, old favorites like the fisherman's pot pie, Lao pot pie. and Lamb Wellington, with a section of salads, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, curries and entrees. The Eggplant leek quiche was a petite pie served with a simple, refreshing salad. Good for eating light but nothing special. The Sea Scallop Napoleon had much more pizzazz. Its lemongrass curry sauce had a nice kick though it was a tad salty for my taste. They are masterful with flour and butter here so the quiche crust and Napoleon puff pastry were both excellent. With room in our bellies, we decided to order soup. My friend got the cream of corn with crabmeat and I got the Khang Lao lemongrass. Both of us loved our selections! They do a great job of not overcooking the vegetables so they are both just soft and hard enough. Definitely save room for dessert, but if you don't have time or room you can take it to go. They're displayed Inside a case full of gorgeous little tarts, cheesecakes, mousses, other uniquely French pastries like the Pavlova and Maron glacé, and of course their signature chocolate pyramid. Each one is a little work of art to be admired by the eye as well as the palate. Hard to narrow it down to one, but I chose well with the chocolate lilikoi mousse. Light, refreshing, and not too sweet, my friend liked it so much she ordered one to go. There is also a selection of cookies and a hot sauce you can buy as gifts that do not require refrigeration. For drinks my friend got the Cappuccino which came dusted with cinnamon and I got the TP coffee (which was supposed to contain orange liqueur). Neither of our drinks was quite hot enough plus I could barely taste the liqueur, so I did something very uncharacteristic and sent mine back. Version 2 was much better. Our server, Drew , was friendly and informative as was the other staff. Note: they are not able to split the bill on credit cards so be prepared with cash if you need to. We had a bigger group and it took a while for the waiter to come and take our order. After ordering, it also took some additional time for the food to come out. Today I was running errands in the neighborhood and decided to treat myself with some quality sweet. Very disappointed with my 20 minutes wait yellow curry ( like a water with raw onions) and my latte. So I asked the sweet waitress if the kitchen had forgot my room temperature meal and she said no , they just done she said . So I just asked her pack n checked out and went inside to pick up some desserts. Complained to the husband and wife owners and they apologized and gave me 10% off . Nice of them . Used to go to JJ's so nice to be able to continue at Tiny Pyramid. For my mother's birthday, we decided to get her "cake" here so she can have a variety. We got maron glacé, chocolate lilikoi, le café, lady in red guava Bavarian, le match and apricot tart. I was looking forward to a maron in the maron glacé but it was not to be so, thus my 4 star rating. My mother loved the le matcha and le café. She had the chocolate lilikoi the following day and said it was too tart for her but I thought it was delish. I ate half the apricot tart and though I could not taste the apricot, the fact that itvis not sweetness overload is nice. My sister attended a function there the following day where she had the escargot, duck paté a other things, which she said was all delish. She also came back with a strawberry shortcake, house pizza minus the chicken and lao roll, which we shall try tonight. Ive been coming to Tiny Pyramid for years and have enjoying eating everything Ive tasted here so far. It is a cute cafe style restaurant having Lao fusion appetizers and entrees. Most of their desserts are individual sizes and all made in-house. They are located across the street from Liliha Bakery and Little Joe's Steakhouse in the Nā Lama Kukui Lifestyle and Design Center on the ground level. There were 4 of us this time around for lunch. I had the corn soup (it comes with or without crab) and the Lao Roll which was a lemongrass curry chicken summer roll with a green salad. Both were very pleasing to my palate. I did try my daughter's pate chaud and it tasted like chinese pork hash in a puff pastry. My m-i-l had the corn soup and the soft shell crab BLT and she ate her whole meal! Usually, she only eats half of her food at other restaurants, but she couldnt stop eating because it was so good. If you havent tried this place yet, you should. This place is a must-try! Ignore the unassuming exterior, and you'll discover a quaint little area inside. Tiny Pyramid is immediately to the left, and has a pleasant urban feel. Walking into the bakery, you can see an almost-unending array of desserts- tarts, cheesecakes, mousses.... it was so hard to choose just one! I ended up getting a lilikoi cheesecake, but will definitely be back to try another! For entrées, the lamb wellington is the most popular, but they shared that it will take at least 20mins. With that (and my hungry tummy) in mind, I ordered the braised duck instead. The duck practically fell off the bone! Perfectly tender in texture, and the gravy was flavorful with just a tiny kick of spice. Absolutely delightful! The mashed potatoes were lightly flavored, but the vegetables were boiled, with hardly any taste. Definitely want to pair each bite perfectly! Had a bite of the Thai Thai noodles too - similar to pad thai, but with less of the nutty nuance. Didn't try the Crab BLT, but according to my friend: "The bun was a bit dry. The crab was crunchy, but not too heavy on the batter. Overall, the BLT could've had more flavor. The salad was better than the BLT." If you're looking for insta-worthy interior, this place may not offer the aesthetic you're looking for. But if you'd like to delight your tastebuds, come through for a pastry or a brunch! This place is across the Liliha Bakery and Zippy's on Nimitz. I usually don't pass by this area. However, when I do I usually stop by for a quick drink and dessert. They have a lot of different cake choices. The chocolate pyramid is always available. The service was fairly fast and workers were nice. The drinks are made fresh so you'll have to wait a bit. I had no idea this cute restaurant was located in this shopping center! You can't see it directly from the parking lot - you have to walk into the center and it's the first stop on the left. The food here is delicious and the four course menu allows you to try multiple dishes for under $40! I did the four course menu B with the soup, baked lobster, lamb Wellington, and a tart for dessert. The soup was okay - a standard corn chowder with a little bit of crab mixed it. I really liked the baked lobster, especially with the sauce it's served with. It's a nice combination of rich flavors with the freshness of the toppings. The lamb Wellington is a must try. The puff pastry and lamb was great, but the pepper sauce really tops everything off nicely. If you get dessert, you can enter the store when you're ready (and when it's clear - there's a 4 person limit). You can pick any item in their showcase and then sit back down. When amazing yelper Nadine asked me if I heard of Tiny Pyramid, I said no. She said "great!" She mentioned that this place serves delicious desserts. So glad she invited us to have lunch here. While waiting for our tables, we looked at the desserts on display. The array of desserts looked scrumptious! After looking at the dessert showcase, we got an idea of what we will plan to order. The menu offers a good selection of food such as sandwiches (Croissant, Tuna Wellington), curries and stir fry (J'Jun, Thai Thai, Red, Green Yellow Curries), pizza (Cheese, Veggie, Angel, NY, and Garlic), pasta and linguine such as Tomato Cream, Classic and entrees such as fisherman's pot pie, baked salmon, Seafood Brioche. The menu looks great. I ordered the Thai Thai noodles with tofu. It tasted prefect. It came with tofu, mung beans, carrots, zucchini, and egg. Joseph requested for the J'Jun. Since JJ Bistro and French Pastry closed their restaurant in Kaimuki late-January 2018, word soon got out the business rebranded to Tiny Pyramid (TP) and opened for business in March 2018. The torch was passed on from father to daughter with a similar concept. I was curious to try TP but I didn't make it a priority to come here. I've read mixed reviews of friends who came here and just wasn't convinced. Then, my niece came here with her classmate several months ago and spoke highly of this place. So, when friends asked where I wanted to celebrate my birthday, I chose TP. Located in Na Lama Kukui on N Nimitz Hwy, next to Ross Dress for Less and across Liliha Bakery, TP offers a French/Asian flair of soups, salads, appetizers, pizza, seafood and pasta dishes. TP also has a 4-course menu just like JJ Bistro. But the main attraction of both businesses has got to be their large range of French inspired desserts. Inside TP you'll have several display cases of an extensive selection of visually appealing desserts with so many different techniques and ingredients. Dining with Auntie (aka Nadine C.) is such a great honor because she plans ahead. She made reservations, which are highly recommended. As we arrived to our 530pm seating, there were several tables already eating and all other tables had "reserved" signs displayed. Very impressive. After checking in with the staff, we were escorted to our table, where we completed their contact tracing form and took our temperature. With COVID, outdoor seating is only currently offered at this time, which is ideal during this pandemic. However, regardless it was breezy in the open parking lot, the outdoor seating was warm and muggy. I thought it was just me until several friends commented the discomfort. There were no fans present so our dining experience was unpleasant. I had my eyes set on the 4-course meal and here's what I ate: Cream Corn Soup with Blue Crab Meat (4/5) This was a tasty bowl of corn soup with corn kernels and flakes of crab here and there. It was served to my liking piping hot but could have used some black or white pepper and some aromatic veggies (celery/onion) for some crunch and added flavor. Soft Shelled Crab (4/5) Visually, this was an impressive appetizer as my soft shelled crab was deep fried to a nice golden brown color but sadly it was plated tepid. Would have been excellent if it was served hot. The crab was accompanied with a green salad drizzled with a house Oriental dressing. Lamb Wellington (2/5) I had such high hopes for my entree only to have it fall short. On a positive note, I'm pleased the Lamb Wellington was made to order because it came out piping hot. The puff pastry was super flaky yet moist inside. I was disappointed the lamb was cooked well done when I usually eat lamb medium. Although I visually saw 2 rib bones, the lamb meat didn't equivalent to the 2 ribs. The overall medallion was small so the meat cooked quickly and thoroughly. The dish came with some mashed potatoes and small pieces of veggies - - nothing earth shattering. Marron Glacé (1/5) I enjoy chestnut desserts so after confirming with the staff this was indeed a chestnut themed dessert, I was sold. But sadly, after taking a bite, the alcohol overpowered the dessert and there was no flavor or texture of chestnut or sweetness to be found. I was eating Panna cotta spiked with alcohol. It sat on a well executed shortbread crust but sadly I ended up not finishing my dessert. I initially was going to choose either Earl Grey or their signage chocolate pyramid. On top of the Earl Grey I saw dusted cocoa powder and feared the cocoa powder would compete and perhaps overpower the subtle tea flavor. For the chocolate pyramid, I had a hunch it might look better than the actual taste. Luckily, a mini chocolate pyramid was used as a candle holder as Auntie informed the restaurant we were celebrating my birthday. And I was right - - the pyramid looks better than the taste. One bite and I was done. I'm glad I didn't choose this dessert as this would have been equally disappointing. Service was decent. The staff came to our table periodically and refilled our much needed water glasses as it was warm and humid during our stay. Lots of free parking on premise and we noticed quite a few people brought their own alcohol. Overall, this was a dining experience where I walked away disappointed. It's always great to spend quality time with good friends. Hands down, the company far exceeded TP's food and ambiance. I'm glad I finally tried TP and have no desire for a return visit soon for a chance at redemption. read more

Atmosphere: love it. Clean, well lite! Simple and not crowded. Relaxing Service: very good. Waiter explained dishes and very friendly. Food: Hit and miss. It used to be better . Lao roll was good but should give a tiny bite more sauce on the side. But I bet if I had asked for more, they would've given me some. I just didn't feel like asking. The vegetable clear soup now has more cabbage instead of other veggies they used to put in. I like the way they made it before. I did not like my main dish of scallops in curry. The sauce needed more coconut milk/ cream. Too watery and salty for MY taste. The pastry shell was very crispy crunchy. The dessert selection had many choices but the tart I chose was underwhelming. it was kind of dry and not enough fruit. I would stick with the chocolate desserts. The prices have gone up since the last time I came. Average dessert is about $6.50 and up. I wish them luck but needs improvements. read more

Location/Parking: The restaurant is located in the Na Lama Kukui on Nimitz. There is ample free parking for two hours. Food: You come here for the desserts!!! They make a wide selection of desserts that are beautifully displayed in their shop. My favorite dessert is the Thai Tea dessert for its unique flavors. I tried their cream soup, lao roll, lobster pasta, lobster pad Thai, lamb Wellington and an iced mocha. The coffee was strong! I recommend the cream soup, Lao roll and the lobster pad Thai for their amazing flavors. The lobster pasta lacked flavor. The lamb Wellington was delicious but it was such a small piece of the leg of lamb. Price: It's priced high at $5-$6 for each dessert and entrees over $20. Seating: It is outdoor seating. No indoor seating. Overall, I'm glad to try this restaurant but the show stopper are the beautifully made desserts! Get the desserts when you are here. read more

I went here on my anniversary with my fiancé, while the service was very good what was disappointing is that we got embarrassed when the waiter called us out on the bill all because we didn't want to leave a tip . This is very rude and unprofessional to do this in front of your customers who were dining there too. read more

My Nail Tech recommended I try this place, I never knew there was a restaurant in here. It used to be called the Gentry Center or something like that and the last time my husband I came here was when we were building our house many years ago. It's a cute cafe/bistro with the tables outside in the mall walkway. The bakery with all the beautiful, yummy looking desserts is on the inside. We were greeted immediately and got a 4 top table for the 2 of us, the table was clean and a cute little vase of flowers were in the center of the table. Our server was friendly and helpful and suggested we each get their Prix Fix menu so we could try a variety of things. So we both ordered it. We ordered the tossed salad with their yummy house made sesame dressing and their corn soup with crab which was delicious! We then ordered appetizers. We had the Baked Lobster which was hot out of the oven bites of lobster with melty cheese on a toasted baguette with a sauce on the side, it was divine! Then we also ordered the Smoke Salmon Rangoon which had smoked salmon, cream cheese wrapped in a crispy spring roll wrapper on a bed of greens and a balsamic dressing, that was just ok for me. For our entree we had Rosemary Pasta with Chicken, pasta was al dente and the chicken was tender, the rosemary flavor was pronounced and it was delicious. Also ordered the Crying Belly, which was pork belly slices that tasted like it was braised in shoyu and Chinese five spice and served on a bed of mashed potatoes with that gravy over top and baby bok choy it was just the right portions and tasted really good. Dessert was next and you could choose anything in the bakery. We chose the Chocolate Haupia Cheese cake and the Chocolate flourless cake with peanut butter ganache. They were both very decadent. Still leaving five stars for the amazing pyramid dessert and their huge selection! I found their portions to be on the smaller side for the price, but the food was good. The house special pasta is quite spicy so watch out for that if you're not a fan of spice. read more
