Came back to Mille Fete to try some more pastries and drinks! Had a black coffee, iced cold brew latte with oat milk, and Mr. M's Coffee. Mr. M's was definitely the star of the show it's sweetened with condensed milk which makes it really good! They're mainly a bakery, so the drink selection is a little limited, but everything we tried was yummy Also got the Luvico chicken hand pie and olive oil cake. The hand pie was fine, nothing out of this world, but the olive oil cake was SO moist and delicious! Definitely will keep coming back. I also LOVE their sorbet/ice creams, so you NEED to try those!

This is a very cute and modern bakery/coffee shop in Chinatown. Their offerings are so unique with many Asian- and Hawaiian-inspired flavors. The staff was so welcoming and helpful; she even offered us to sample some ice cream flavors without us asking. We got a latte, pineapple tea, POG cake, and a citrus olive oil pound cake. Our most favorite was the POG cake and each layer shone with its own flavor and texture (though $16 for a slice was little steep). The pound cake was a little sweet for my taste. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here and would love a chance to try other items.

Adorable ambiance, delicious pastries and coffee drinks! My favorite is their Chicken Pot Pie pastry that is made with locally grown chickens from Ludovico Farms, paired with an Espresso Soda for lunch. The staff is extremely helpful and can help you decide what to select based on preference. I try to go there every time I'm in Chinatown!

Found the gem in Chinatown. This is a beautiful cafe. I love the modern vibe of the clean lines and the lighting. Relaxing and the perfect stop for unique sweets and savory snacks. Everything looks incredibly delicious. The loafs of bread, the cakes, the cookies, hand pies ....many choices. Lots of vegan options too! Service was top notch. Everything was explained well and we surely appreciated the extra care we were given. We ordered the Chicken Pot Hand Pie and the Kim Chi Reuben Hand Pie. They heated up the pies for us. Flaky crust filled with chunks of delicious filling. Savory flavors that go well together. The Spam Bao had a small spicy kick of mustard. Yum. We also ordered the Peanut Butter Whistle - So very Yummy! Definitely getting this heavenly delight next time! Highly recommend if you love peanut butter and chocolate. You can also order on line for easy pickup. And they do another baking at about 2 pm. Can't wait to visit again!

Stopped by Mille Fete during First Friday Night. STAFFING/SERVICE: Excellent customer service. Observed friendly welcome to each customer who walked in. Two customer service reps patiently answered questions and offered recommendations, like Piggy Pane and Banana Poi Bread (loaf and slice options) that are only available on Fridays and weekends. Food presented with name and price, while helpful staff provided more detailed description upon request - description pretty much what's on Mille Fete's Order Online page, but no wifi access onsite. FOOD: I'm partial to savory comfort foods, and thoroughly enjoyed flavorful Piggy Pane ($15, lard bread filled with Portuguese sausage and provolone cheese) and Ludovico Chicken Pot Hand Pie ($7, flaky buttery crust filled with chicken, carrots, peas, onions in bechamel sauce). High quality, real food ingredients. AMBIANCE: Relaxed with seating around several round tables as well as along counter with windows facing Smith Street. Lots of natural light adds to cheery, clean vibe inside. OVERALL: Piggy Pane flavors intact the day after purchase. Menu is extensive with breads, hand pies, sandwiches, cakes, cookies, ice creams, sorbets, sherbets, cold and hot beverages; vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free items, too! Mille Fete also carries frozen baos to bake at home, 6 for $18 (or $3 each); otherwise, $5 for baked, ready-to-eat bao. After checking out descriptions on Mille Fete's Order Online page, I plan to return to try more savories like Kimchi Reuben Hand Pie and Cake Sale. Need to find out if Spam, used in bao, is made by Hormel (will avoid) or Local General Store (will try).

Everything was amazingly good! Located at the old little village location this bakery is clean, bright, with so many baked yummy goods. At the door you are drawn in by the abundance of bunt cakes, chocolate dipped cookies, bread and assorted pastries. They also have different cafe type drinks and homemade ice cream. We ordered so many things and sat to enjoy our coffee and cookie ice cream. Ice cream was creamy and melded so well with the two chocolate chip cookies. The ice coffee was a great way to balance the flavors. The owner manager..so nice and helpful! Worth it to take a trip to Chinatown to experience this cafe!

Awe i finally made it here! Beautiful decor and such a cool vibe! We ordered spam bao , chicken hand pie, and a yummy honey biscuit. The biscuit was definitely our favorite!! The hand pie tasted like it had a Chinese 5 spice flavor, the spam bao tasted like it had a pinch of Chinese mustard. It was good, but will try the other amazing looking baked goods, the next time around. All were top notch and delicious!! *Restroom available *walking distance to open parking lot. We also bought a sour dough bread, which was soft and deliciously baked. Definitely be back again!!

Slice of POG cake and potato salad bun
    Arturo N.

Absolutely obsessed with the POG cake at Mille Fête. The flavor was so thoughtfully layered...every bite felt like a tapestry of textures and tastes coming together perfectly. Light, rich, tangy, slightly sweet, and incredibly balanced all at once. I also had the potato salad bun and it was super yummy. It had a little kick to it (baby spice status) the bun reminded me of Thanksgiving in the best way -- cozy, savory, and nostalgic while still feeling unique. The employees were incredibly kind and patient while helping me decide between the coconut and POG cake, which made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. This is the perfect place to meet a friend for a high-end experience without breaking the bank. I came on a Saturday around 3:45 p.m. and it felt relaxed but still lively. It's a great little afternoon treat spot in Honolulu. You can really feel the care they put into both the desserts and the overall experience. Definitely a standout stop while visiting Waikīkī.

I loved everything at Mille Fête! As soon as I came in I was greeted warmly and was helped incredibly, making sure was informed of anything I was interested in. I felt so cared for! My favorite was the Japanese potato salad bun. The filling was generous and the hint of spice was perfect! The Kimchi Reuben hand pie was also filled graciously. A bit salty but I enjoyed the flaky pastry texture! There's a good amount of seatings both inside and outside!

What a charming and fun bakery! We had dinner down the block and knew we had to stop in here for dessert. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and honestly the staff here is a highlight! The team behind the counter was fun and engaging. We decided to try the Pistachio and Pineapple cake as well as the Lemon Whoopee Pie and both were well prepared and tasty with just the right amount of sweetness that really allowed the flavors to shine. I really felt the prices were quite fair when taking the quality into account. I hope to make it back for some coffee on this trip and try a few more treats!

This place is a splash of sunshine who loves what they do and you can tell all the love they put into their pastries and ice cream. Service is wonderful and everyone who we end up getting helped is so personable and positive. Their cakes are amazing, heck it all is! They one an ice coffee that is pretty good, the lady said it's her dads way to drink it. It's very good. The ambiance is "sunshine " and happy and clean and bright with some welcoming vibes. So happy to have found this place!

Now that I work in Chinatown, it kind of gives me the opportunity to check out all the businesses around. I stumbled upon Mille Fete before my shift and wanted to grab coffee for a long shift. Mille Fete has a pastry counter full of creative pastires such as cakes, ice cream, pastry pockets, cookies, and so much more. Since I had around 15 minutes to kill, I tried their cake sale, which was a bite sized savory cake. They offered to heat it up and it was delicious. I also ordered their vietnamese coffee and i am obsessed! It isn't as chocolately as some, which this one I prefer. I've been wanting to try their pog cake for some time, but am waiting for the perfect opportunity to. I will definitely be back sooner for the coffee before work! follow my foodie adventures on ig: smolgirlfatass

I probably come here way too often, but what can I say? When the baked goods are this delicious, how can you not?? They've got sweet and savory pastries, some spectacular cakes (my fav is the POG), and sourdough bread (that comes in a loaf!!), as well as some drinks/coffee. The menu usually features seasonal items but there are also OGs that are always there whenever I go--so much to choose from, it's always fun to trying something new! A skip and hop away from their their sister restaurant, Fetè, Mille Fete is another lovely addition to Chinatown. My go-to lil treats are their peanut butter whistles when I'm feeling sweet, and their chicken hand pies when I want something savory. I can never leave without getting a loaf of their sourdough bread either. The space itself is bright, clean, and minimal with a few seating areas. Service is always pretty quick, the staff is always so friendly!! There's a few street parking stalls out front but there's also multiple municipal lots around that area to choose from. A must visit when in Chinatown!!

Well there is enough parking in the back parking lot. But there's this security guard there. I asked if he's the parking attendant and he said I'm security. I asked where machetes is and he said that's in the front I only care about the back. So I guess that's his only job to watch the parking lot. And it's located across a homeless camp. So I can see why the need for parking security. Such a turn off! Upon entering machetes I was greeted. The worker asked if I was ready to order and I said just another minute as I wanted to look over the menu for what I wanted since it was my first time. The counter was covered in devices I guess a lot of people order from here. I ordered a turkey and salami sandwich. The worker then asked if I wanted it on the white or brown wheat bread. I chose wheat. While waiting I asked if they make their own bread and they do so I was impressed. The worker asked me, you say you didn't want tomatoes? Then I responded I want everything it supposed to come with. I thought I heard him say a second thing but wasn't sure and I was looking closer to the menu. I didn't realize you can add items to the sandwich for free. The worker then hands me the sandwich wrapped ready to go. I then said oh sorry can you add peppers, cucumbers and Italian vinaigrette. He did not look happy. I apologized saying sorry it was my first time. He said it was cool. Well proceed to pay. And he said have a nice day and I said thanks and left. Sandwich tasted amazing! Big portion! The wheat bread was so soft and light. Refreshing from all the vegetables. And moist from the vinaigrette. Although peppers were missing. Total for just the and sandwich was $13.40. Not a bad sandwich. Just a weird location and weird vibe. Don't forget that there are free addons and a list of them in a tiny section on the bottom of menu. They won't remind you it's there or offer it lol. I'd come back.

They have some creative other slices like vodka sauce with pesto etc which are tasty but if you're a pizza purist and lover you can't go wrong with two cheese slices. There aren't much frills so you can have water or soda from their mini fridge. Almost like going to a corner pizza place in the city. Sandwiches available sometimes. We go early for lunch on Sundays and grab a seat outside. The proprietor was especially kind and friendly to my FIL and I appreciated that. Overall this is the second best NY style pizza place after black shamrock by a small margin - the Jersey pie at shamrock with its awesome sauce and perfect crust is hard to beat but don't think you can order it by the slice. So very very close.

Conveniently located near Duke's, there's one outdoor table nearby, but really, just pick up a sandwich and take it to the beach! Staff was very friendly. Plenty of options for sandwiches and salads (and maybe more options, just what I noticed). I got the tuna sandwich and added a slice of pepper jack. I said no mayo or mustard, though I'd probably recommend mayo. There are so many veggies that it needs a little sauce. The veggies make you feel like you're eating something super healthy! There wasn't a ton of tuna in the sandwich, but half was filling enough for me. I'll save the rest for tomorrow.

I'm going to start by saying you won't find a sandwich shop in Waikiki like Pai's Deli. Their…read moresandwiches are packed with fresh ingredients and tons of flavor. Skipping this place would be a crime. And prices are very reasonable for what you get. It's a hidden gem, tucked inside the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort just to the right of Duke's. I've been here many times and have ordered both smoothies and sandwiches. Let me tell you, the bread is incredibly soft, the greens are crisp and fresh, and the protein is ALWAYS tasty. The team works hard to craft your sandwich every time, and I always get a warm "thank you" when I pick mine up (I swear I got into a thank-you battle once, and of course, they won). I highly recommend the tuna sandwich. It's seasoned perfectly and generously filled with tuna. The greens are always piled high. Shredded carrots, spinach leaves, and more sprouts than you'd think possible. It's healthy and DELICIOUS. I usually add avocado, and the sandwich with avocado comes out to $13.75, which is a great deal for Waikiki. Oh! and you get a little skewer of two pineapple slices! It's cute, refreshing, and perfectly ripe every time. The last smoothie I ordered was the Avocado Green Island. It's made with mango, avocado, spinach, banana, greek yogurt, and coconut milk. It's creamy, slightly tangy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. I've also tried their chicken salad sandwich (money!) and my favorite, the Captain Salad. I recommend getting it with Caesar dressing. The brand of ranch they use isn't really my thing. They also have a homemade balsamic vinagarette that sounds amazing. The salad is huge, topped with turkey and generous crumbles of bacon. I'm telling you, they're serving hit after hit after hit at this spot. Go and enjoy ASAP!
