This is my second time dining at this place and I've enjoyed the food I've tried so far! During my first visit, I tried their Prosciutto & Avocado toast the first time, then the Pork Belly Bowl the second time! The tapatio sauce is great in the pork belly bowl if you want some little heat in it. I really enjoy their iced coffee that I ended ordering a second glass of the Bebbeh Girl iced coffee. I haven't tried the others yet but I will come back again to try something new. The ambiance here is a vibe! Very friendly and a nice environment to eat in. The staff is friendly and attentive as well!
Tried this place for the first time on a weekday. I arrived at 9:15 am ahead of my guests. There was no wait, and they let me be seated. The place was filled with mostly locals. However, a few tourists seemed to find their way to the restaurant. The service and food are great. They have a wide variety of your normal breakfast items, but they have a secret menu item for the day and a lot of variations on coffees, teas, and menu items. This place is great for breakfast or brunch. The pork belly Benedict is amazing. My guests had omelette. Everything is freshly prepared. There is plenty of free parking. However, access is slightly difficult with the construction for the rail on Dillingham Blvd. I highly recommend this place.

It's been years since I've been to Humpty Dumpty's Cafe and I'm pretty sure it will be many years before I return again. On my most recent visit, the food was not good at all. I got the pork belly bowl, with extra pork, and a boom boom chicken. First, the pork belly bowl did not appeal to my belly. It was greasy AF and the pork had way more fat than I remember. The meat was weird--it reminded me of beef stew beef when it's been overcooked. It becomes strangely soft to where it is no longer desirable to eat. This phenomenon is something you need to experience to understand. Kind of like picking up a cat by its tail. I absolutely do not condone picking up a cat by its tail, even for educational purposes. Second, the boom boom chicken was overcooked. It didn't look burnt on the outside, but the bird meat was really tough like it was in the fryer for too long (or too many times). Sadly, I didn't finish either item and just put them in the fridge to be forgotten about until the next fridge cleaning/purge. It's too bad, when I first visited this place long ago, the food was so good. Not sure what happened to cause the fall from greatness.
As always, great service, great food! I came here after a hike and since it was a weekday, I was able to try one of the weekday-only items, the birria burrito. OMG it's my new favorite. It comes with a small side of hot honey dipping sauce and a small side of birria to dip your burrito in, and it is amazing. I split this with my husband and he got the chorizo burrito, which was good, but honestly, I wish I had ended on my half of the birria burrito because it was so good. I got a Vietnamese coffee with tiramisu cream on top (+$1.75) and it was delicious--the bitterness of the coffee contrasts perfectly with the tiramisu foam on top. Love it. Perfect place to come for breakfast or brunch.
Went to Egghead Cafe with my Sis to start our day. This place is a treasure in Kalihi. We ordered the Chorizo Omelette and Pork Belly Benedict, and a single classic French toast to share. So delicious! This place serves elevated local favorites. Local touches mixed with modern ambiance. The service is friendly and attentive.
Such a jewel of a restaurant in Hawaii. Has the best breakfast in town with ample of sitting. The place screams local with a bit of elevation in ambiance. The people are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend to couples and family!!
What a find. Egghead is sooo good. I tried the pork belly bowl and boom boom chicken and highly recommend them. Staff is so friendly and made great recommendations for peanut butter french toast for the kids. The inside is super cool and is connected to a coffee shop. I highly recommend going here.
This is a great post workout breakfast spot! If you're ever craving eggs and meat and you're in Kalihi, this is the place to go. Very attentive staff and the food is always delicious and filling. Parking is pretty much standard strip mall parking. Highly recommend.
Second visit, to Egghead Cafe. Anytime the name alone has me interested in patronizing the eatery the owner(s) are doing something right. I walked in and requested an Iced Yin Yang. I think the Yin is the feminine and the Yang is the masculine - sorry, I'm a local Japanese - so I got it Yang ( 50% sweet ) style. The beverage is 50% espresso and 50% milk tea and completely awesome. Also, got an Oreo Cream Cheese Scone for takeaway. I prefer a fluffier, thinner scone, but thicc is also fine. It was sweet and dense,drier but I don't mind it on the dry side. Service was very good. I think their bevvies are worth trying...i did have a Cali Cali Benedict - which named Cali...I should've known...fusion, deconstructed Eggs Benedict ( Arnold ).

I swear Egghead Cafe used to be on Queen Street in the Kaka'ako neighborhood, but I didn't know that the original location on Queen Street had shut down and moved over to the Kapalama Shopping Center in Kalihi. I had to go back to my old reviews and did a quick search, sure enough, I found my Egghead review I wrote back in 2016. First of all..........Much MAHALO to all my Yelp buddies for helping me get my breakfast badge back in 2016, as I got it here at the original Egghead Cafe when it was located on Queen Street. A lot has changed since I last went to Egghead Cafe, the menu appears to have gotten bigger with more menu offerings. The decor of the Kalihi location is much nicer, and the food was definitely moa' bettah! Recently, my friend had texted me, as she wanted to check out Egghead Cafe. Upon seeing her text, to be honest, I wasn't too enthusiastic about going to Egghead Cafe as I remembered my last foodie experience at the original Egghead Cafe was so-so, but a lot of time has passed since I last dined here and it's good to get reacquainted with Egghead Cafe, I am so happy I came back here for breakfast, as the food was wonderful, and the service was outstanding! We ordered the following items - 1. Green Onion Pancake ($11.00) - crepe-like savory pancake, basil, egg, sweet chili & garlic shoyu, green onion. Added bacon for an additional ($4.00) 2. Cheesy Eggs ($16.00) - 3 soft scrambled eggs, country bread, and choice of (choose one) - cheddar or pepper jack cheese. To wash down our breakfast grindages I got the house brew coffee, and my friend opted for the matcha honey latte. Overall, it was a wonderful breakfast experience! Service was on-point, and I would be more than happy to come back here again to try other breakfast offerings. Parking here was easy, as there is lots of parking at the Kapalama Shopping Center, but the shopping complex is shared with other businesses, so depending on when you come here, your parking experience may vary.

It's always crowded when I pass by so finally had time today picked up my sister and brother in law and we went for breakfast. Needed to sign in online although it was fast within 5 mins we got a table . I had their eggs Benedict which was ok with some waffle fries . My sister had their pancakes it was a little heavy not the usual light and fluffy . My brother in law had the California omelette minus the bell peppers he said it was ok too. It's a little more trendy and healthy place for breakfast w/green salad . Just give me eggs, Portuguese, spam , or Vienna sausage I'll be a happy camper . If you're looking for that type of breakfast this place is not for you . Support local
Egghead Cafe is a robust, noisy , but satisfying breakfast spot for locals and visitors alike. Yelp buddies Gail U. and Donna O. and I came here today for breakfast and chit chat! The noise level here is high so we needed to use our loud voice. Our order of Boom Boom Chicken, Peanut Butter toast and Holy Cow Benedict was a success. We all enjoyed our dishes. The chicken was on the crispy side (like karaage style), and the inside meat was tender. The sauces are okay. You will be charged for more than one choice of sauce. The Peanut Butter toast is deep fried and surprisingly not too oily. Just like a chunky style peanut butter sandwich that is fried. The Holy Cow Benedict looked savory and spicy. I did not try this dish. Service was fast and efficient. Our server Mateya answered all our questions and provided suggestions. The Latte coffee is smooth and easy to drink. We received a lucky red envelope during Egghead Cafe CNY celebration. We won a $10 off our next visit. Unisex bathrooms are located in the restaurant. One on each side of the restaurant. Free parking. Checks may only be separated by two. You can win nail stickers if you post on Instagram. Enjoy.

Mateya, our gorgeous smiling server had the most bubbly personality to take our orders. Three of us planned to meet for breakfast today 2-21-26. When you arrive join the waitlist using the QR code outside the entrance. Cold, rainy morning I ordered a hot green tea and a Holy Cow Benedict- delightfully subtly sweet from the cornbread with shredded beef and an egg on each of the two cornbread. Jackie and Donna shared 2 items plus hot beverages too. The noise level is quite high only because this business is booming with customers on a Saturday. They are giving out one red envelope per table. Jackie with her Vegas talent pulled an envelope for $10 off, just what she wanted. Mateya brought us take out boxes. So efficient without us asking. Lots of smiles from the manager working the floor to the servers to customers at the many tables. A great choice for having breakfast. read more

Brother-in-law wanted to go to Egghead. Did check a few reviews on Yelp. Well it's not a eatery that I would frequent. You can make reservations for parties larger than eight. Otherwise you have to go on the waiting list by scanning a bar code at the door. We only had a ten minutes wait to get seated. The service was a pleasant and did come around to fill the coffee. It took 25 minutes after our orders were placed to get our food. Wife ordered the Wow Buttery Pancakes. Wow it was thick and chewy.and no Butter taste. My brother-in-law had the Classic Eggs Benedict with waffle fries. No comment from him. I had the California omelet. It had avocado ,bacon, onions and bell peppers. Topped with a little cheese and salsa. Good amount of avocado. The omelet was a over done ,dry and toasty. Overall it's on the pricey side for a breakfast. Enjoy read more

Egghead Cafe Hawaii - Kapālama Shopping Center Food Fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the Avo Corn Toast with over-medium eggs paired with an Iced Tiramisu Cold Brew. My friends ordered the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict and Chorizo Spice Omelette, and both looked amazing. Service Warm and friendly from the moment we arrived. The staff were welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided the kind of genuine hospitality that makes you want to return. Ambiance Comfortable, clean, and inviting. The décor is modern and welcoming, with enough space between tables that you don't feel cramped. Free parking and clean restrooms were a bonus. Wait Time We were a party of 3 and added our names to the waitlist. The restaurant was busy, but the wait was reasonable. Reservations are available for parties of 8 or more. Overall Great food, great coffee, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Can't wait to come back! read more
My daughter wanted to celebrate her bday with a bday brunch here. We did the QR waitlist as it was busy . The app said 35 min wait, but actually went quicker for a party of 6. We were seated, coffee specialty drinks, a smoothie and à lavender latte and two matcha gatos! Coffee drinks were on point! We ordered and had our food served in a short time. Lots to choose from! You can make a reservation but all members of your party need to be present to be seated. It's only fair for this popular spot along Dillingham in the Zippy's parking lot, opposite side. I was hungry for biscuits and gravy, sadly that was they only option not offered. They have everything else. Sweets and savory items galore. Coffee, tea, juice, and breakfast cocktails too. I chose a hot water with lemon and the Popeye Omelet. (It's been cold outside lately!) Obsessed. I. Am. Obsessed. You pull into the parking lot and you don't expect much. Little strip mall. But you go inside egghead and it's adorable. Exactly what you want from a brunch spot. Cute mural on the wall to take photos with. And just a whole vibe. The menu is the perfect size. Enough to please everyone without being overwhelming. The staff is kind and attentive. Super helpful if you want help making a decision on what to order. The tiramisu latte was delicious. The food. I couldn't decide between a few times. I'm a sucker for chorizo. And they had it in burrito form. But the eggs benny was highly recommended. But....i don't like eggs. Love me some hollandaise sauce though! So, I got the eggs Benny with no eggs, and a side of chorizo. It was perfect. Exactly what I needed in my life. Everything was so good I ate every last bite. I'll be back. Again and again. read more

First time here in Hawaii & egghead was our first stop Got seated very quickly by the very friendly host , immediately got greeted by our lovely server Taylor who took her time explaining the menu & specials to us . We ordered : scallion pancake , boom boom chicken + fried egg , espresso martini & a an Irish coffee Everything was delicious, chicken was super juicy & drinks were super tasty . Still love this place! The avo-corn toast is by far my favorite thing to get, but you really can't go wrong with anything you order. They also have an express side on the right of their main doors. They have the same menu there and you just order at the counter. You can do takeout or if you want to eat there, they also have tables available. So convenient! read more

Had such a great time grabbing breakfast with a friend. We split the birria and pork belly breakfast burrito--everything was super flavorful and hit the spot. The burrito was hearty, the birria was rich and comforting, and the pork belly was perfectly cooked. I did prefer the birria. The ambiance is more chill on the weekdays than the weekends and in case you wanted to try the birria or pork belly burrito, they are only available on the weekdays. We also had some really yummy lattes. Definitely a breakfast spot that turns into a really memorable hangout. Would happily come back! read more

Well what I can say about this place. Was reading yelps reviews and lots of people was pretty hipe up about it. To me its more for the younger generation. Lots of things I really didn't care for on the menu. But I'm a pancake person who will try to go all over to try pancakes so this place I did. Well it was not thin and fluffy was alittle on the heavy side. The taste was not to my liking. I had side order of pork links and to me was salty. My brother had eggs Benedict he said was ok. My husband had a california omelet was ok but hes eggs were overly done. All in all the service was good brought the menus and water and food came out within alittle over 20 mins or so. Lots of people comes here and eat breakfast or maybe lunch. At least I tried them. You need to scan on the QR code outside for how many people in your party like putting you on a waitlist for a table. read more
Great breakfast place with so many unique dishes from flight of pancakes, Mexican breakfast dishes during the weekday, Taiwanese dishes for those may want something different than regular breakfast items. I came before and like the boom boom Chicken and green onion pancakes. Something similar as Fooki because of the same owner. This time we shared the boom boom chicken and peanut butter French toast. Something sweet and savory. I liked the chicken because the spices and crunchiness of the chicken. Deep fried items are always yummy with peanut butter inside. As a table we got a lucky red envelope for spending $25 per table. We let one of our friend to pick the red envelope since she really wanted the red envelope and it was one per table and no more than 2 separate checks. When restaurants allow for separate checks, it plus for everyone and helps in our decision to dine there. Not everyone carries a lot of cash and if not, they will not order as freely. Mateya was on it in serving us and make sure we were taken care of . We were a little late, but thanks to our dear friend for getting the table early. Nice get together on a cold day! read more

We chose the self service side where you order at the register, the other side had a wait so it was a no brainer for us since tables were available on the self service side. The food was ready so quick and service was friendly. For drinks, we ordered a taro latte and salted caramel latte, both iced. I ordered the green onion pancake roll which has egg inside and a dipping sauce. It was great and just the right amount of food. My sister got the vegetarian omelette which was delicious, especially the bread. My daughter got the pancake trio which was nice because it lets you try three different flavors when you can't decide. Yes, they have a another door on Mauka side where you can enter for coffee orders. It also has seats where you can drink your coffee and wait for the dinning room.
There's a sign posted in the window that reads 'Dine in only.' Do you offer take-out?
One side is for dine in and the other side is take out . Egghead only takes in person take out on weekend 🙏 but able to do phone, online take out on weekdays .
Can we BYOB?
It's noon, somewhere right? It's kalihi, honestly idk. But I don't think they should byob
