Food is always wonderful and we really like the bartender Jamie. She does a fantastic job and is really on her game! The only thing I can say bad about the place is they always seem to be out of Amberbock which is our favorite beer. If they had this more regularly, we would definitely be here more frequently. We actually live here now so it would be nice to have another place that has amberbock so we could come here a lot more frequently. read more

Tip A Few 2, 6890 North Atlantic Avenue Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 1/2 Star Tip A Few 2 is located in a dreary stretch of A1A in Cape Canaveral just a hop, skip and a jump south of Launch Pad #29 one finds a wearisome dive, Tip A Few 2. The name would imply that this is the second of a local chain, alas, I couldn't find hide nor hair of Tip A Few 1. Missing the obligatory "bar & grill" or at least "tavern" in their name I thought was a nice twist to the local dive bar slop houses that pepper the Space Coast. However, upon entering I realized it wasn't due to any creative thinking on the owner's part but rather their ability to only serve beer, wine and White Claw. As the bastardized dialog skittered across my thoughts, I was greeted by a pleasant lady going by the moniker of Michelle. Michelle was amiable, charming, efficient and on top of her game. Of course, it's easy to look good when you only have two customers. I kid, I am sure she is just as professional and personable during happy hour. As they did not have a full bar, I sat down guessing that the food had to be the draw here. Whelp. I was wrong. The food sucks as well. Not putting much faith in bar food, to begin with, I ordered the American staple of a Classic BLT on white toast. I am the first to admit that other than my love for food, the other driving force behind my quest to review every restaurant in Florida, is my utter and complete inability to do anything more complex than boiling water or making toast in the kitchen and sometimes even that is hit or miss. With that said, I dare you to take a peek at the picture. Honestly, I couldn't make something this disgusting if I tried. The bacon was chewy, not crispy. The only way bacon gets to this texture is one of two ways. It is either done in the microwave (the horror), or it is sitting on the counter or under a warming light for a few hours. Either way, you should lose your food permit for serving meat candy in such an atrocious condition. The lettuce was your standard iceberg, which isn't bad, but certainly isn't something a restaurant should be using. All things bread-related begin with bread. A sandwich is made or sunk on the encompassing shingle. I don't know if this even qualified as bread. This stuff wasn't even Wonder Bread. This is some bottom-of-the-barrel Sysco crap. I wouldn't feed this to the pigeons in the park. No drinks and garbage fare leads one to question what the point is of even coming here. This is a little hole in the wall you might miss it! Anything you get from here is so good! When I stayed on the cape I always came here. There is a lot of older people who come and live music plays. It's a small restaurant but so good! It's a wine/beer bar but when we asked for Riesling the waitress didn't know what we were talking about.. kinda weird. Their burgers, shrimp, fish, and pretzels are all good and fresh! Highly recommend. read more

Yesterday we went to Tip a Few 2 in Cape Canaveral on A1A (maybe cocoa beach? It's kinda close to the line) anyway.. we've been there a handful of times and every single time it's a fantastic experience. We usually go early in the afternoon. Amy is always there and she is just the sweetest! She's completely awesome, entertaining, friendly, fast, efficient & she can work a bar! We usually just go for a beer or two but today we were a bit hungry so we both ordered the "veggie burger" they use the Beyond burger and it comes on this giant bun that they dry toast beautifully and they pack it with lettuce, tomato, onion & shredded lettuce. This burger is seriously amazing, AND can you see the crunch on these fries?! They're perfect!!!! I was super happy when I saw a plant based option on the menu and super stoked when I got a beyond burger! (They're my favorite) the prices were more than fair, the service is awesome and the place has good ambience. It's a little divey, but kinda upscale divey if that makes sense. Hands down winner in my book! read more

Popped in with my family a week ago. 9 of us with 3 small children, just looking for a nice cozy lunch. We saw the menu online and it looked great. Upon arriving we quickly realized the place was a little different than we had initially thought, definitely more Bar than Grill. However, the staff quickly put any regret we might have had to bed with their outstanding hospitality! Super friendly demeanor and just downright niceness! Making my kids feel Welcomed and comfortable. What followed was shocking! Some of the best B/G apps we have ever had, (seriously what do you do to those pretzel bites??) followed by 9 different entres cooked to perfection. All by 1 man in the back. Blown away isn't the right term! It's apparent they're trying to make the move to the restaurant aspect of dining and for us they nailed it! Burgers? On point! Sandos? On point! Huge pieces of cod for fish and chips that would give londoners a whirl! I sincerely hope they push their food more and let the confidence reign supreme. I know for us we will be visiting again! Food was decent for the price advertised on the menu (not decent for the overcharged price on our bill), atmosphere was good. The gripe my group had is the bartender overcharging us (on two separate checks because we were two parties) and getting rude and defensive when we asked about it. The sign in front of the establishment says Happy Hour domestic beer is $2.75. We were charged over $15 for 4 beers and when I asked her about it she said "that's the way the computer tallies it with the tax". Then I asked why it taxes the drinks twice because it showed the pre-total as over $15 then at the bottom, a tax is added again. She again said it was the way the computer does it. I also said that the sign out front says the domestic beer is $2.75 and she said "that must be old" - well then change it, it's a chalkboard (I didn't say this to her but it should be obvious to just change it on the board). We were also overcharged on each meal we ordered. She was very flustered and rude with us at this point, turned her back to us and waving her arms in the air, "you can talk to the manager, he's right over there". We decided it wasn't worth it to pursue further because it was obvious at this point that no matter what, we would not be coming back to this place which is a shame because we are locals and we enjoyed our time and meals there but the bartender soured us by overcharging us then being very rude to us. We were very nice and not rude at all when addressing our concerns with her and she was pleasant with us the entire time we were there until we questioned the bill. Too bad she pushed locals away (we live in Cocoa Beach area) because we were talking about how we liked it there and would be back until she got upset about us questioning the bill. read more

We stopped here while visiting and found this cute hole in the wall place. They had a variety to choose from and it was just what we were looking for after being on the road for almost 9 hours. The wings were crispy and delicious. Salad was very fresh and you could turn a salad into a wrap. Our waitress was outstanding and very down to earth. The setting was layer back and chilled. They had live music. Once the guy warmed up to the crowd, he did pretty good. Would for sure come back when visiting. read more

We stopped in for lunch a few weeks ago and it was very good. I had the Friday cod fish special and my husband had the regular burger. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. Staff is friendly and eager to please. We went back yesterday for the $5 happy hour hamburgers and they were awful. Frozen meat which had no flavor and were tough. While we were there we saw two other ladies come in for the advertized special. The burgers were literally shit on a shingle. You will lose customers serving that product. First of all, I'm a local to the area. I USED to love this place! The burgers were on point, I love fried pickles, and these were the best I've ever had. They were pickle chips, which were hand battered in a corn meal mixture. They have switched to pickle spears, which deter me from ordering them at all, anymore. The spears were a burn hazard for your mouth, and tasted like they were straight out of the freezer section. All of their appetizers WERE good until recently. Tonight was my final straw. My boyfriend, my dad and I sat at a table. The waitress and service were exceptional, and the bathrooms were clean. We were informed that the soup of the day had sold out, but that was ok, it was a Saturday, and probably sold out early. So, my dad ordered pineapple teriyaki wings, my boyfriend ordered the beef and cheddar, and I ordered three appetizers: the fried green beans, the pretzel bites, and the fried mushrooms. I was informed about 10 minutes after ordering that they were out of the green beans and pretzel bites. Bummer, but it was ok, I was about to have the best fried mushrooms in the area! Tonight, I can tell the difference. The fried mushrooms used to be amazing, but whatever they have switched to was horrible, freezer section, and had a residual taste of dirty oil. Also, my dads wings came out with sesame seeds on them. This is my first time in my life, seeing teriyaki wings with sesame seeds. He has diverticulitis, so they had to remake them for him. He says they were good, and my boyfriend loved his sandwich, but his fries were seriously undercooked. Also, while we ate, there was a palmetto bug climbing the walls white we ate. Completely unsanitary, and had me questioning this place's cleanliness, overall. I don't know what happened to this special, special place. It gets old only having bar food to choose from in a beach town, but if I was going to eat it, this was my spot. They have just succumbed to the fare that every other bar has now, and I am not enjoying it. They need to figure this out, because they're losing money, and losing local, loyal customers. All I have to say is: next time my boyfriend wants to eat here, I will not be so agreeable. read more

Ordered a simple burger medium well. Told them didn't want it burnt or raw. Went and picked it up brought it home opened the container and it was Burnt. Thought i could over look it untill i took a bite and it was Raw inside. Took it straight back to them and got my money back. Do not recommend them at all. read more
