Season 4 Episode 16 of The A-Team Cowboy George Never been an A-Team guy, but the minute I heard Boy George and Culture Club were in this one, I quickly became intrigued, as I have been a lifelong Culture Club fan. Let me just say, I was sooo not disappointed. Boy George did exactly how I expected, and cemented a spot in my heart. I had a fantastic evening viewing from The Redneck Riviera! 10/10 stars for both Billy Galaxy's & The A-Team as well...Bravo!!!

I was visiting from out of town and headed to Powell's for some used books when a fuzzy memory hit me: Wasn't there a killer vintage shop I used to buy PEZ from back when I lived in Oregon? No way it was still around, right? One quick search later... it's still alive and kicking -- and I was literally 500 feet from the front door. Fate. Destiny. The Collectible Gods smiling upon me. Inside? Same owner I remembered from decades ago. That alone blew my mind. The inventory is unreal. Every one of my fandoms -- PEZ, Hanna-Barbera, Godzilla, King Kong, classic monsters -- all crammed into this cozy, nostalgia‑soaked cave of wonders. I could pretend I tried to play it cool, but who am I kidding? This place fed my soul. Did I buy more than I should have? Absolutely. Do I regret it? Not even a little. Prices are firm, but honestly, they're fair -- and half this stuff you never see in the wild anymore, even on eBay. If you love vintage collectibles, this shop isn't just a stop -- it's a pilgrimage. P.S. Please don't tell my wife what I spent.

I immediately thought of Urbanite across the river. Sure enough, I found exactly what I was looking for! That store is not only beautiful but has such an interesting selection of items to look at. The staff is knowledgable and gracious. I subsequently returned and bought a wonderful, whimsical painting. Sarah, contacted the dealer to answer some questions I had and expedited the transaction in a timely and professional manner. What more can you ask for?

This place has both new and used items. We buy stuff every time we go. There is vinatage furniture, new art, used art, cool little chakis, chairs, purses, jewelry, antiques, clothing and great vintage finds. So much more as well! Some things are unaffordable for us and some are more reasonably priced. We found beautiful wood shelves that are stunning and bought them. They were exactly what we were looking for. We got a cool industrial console table abd other fool finds. I have bought a few nicknacks that I like and new art when they had a sale. Street parking is easy to find plus they have a parking lot. There are bathrooms. I would say the one thing I dislike is everything is a final sale. I mean absolutely everything. So I have not bought certain things in case they could not work where we want to put them or we were might want to use. Also for gifts since they are not returnable and want to give my gift receiver's that option. Some staff are more helpful than others. So it depends on who is working. This a good place to go if you are cool with final sales. Theycdo have grsat stuff.

The original family who brought beautiful items from Japan have now largely passed the business to a younger person. I was strolling the neighborhood when a signboard announced an open day. Usually they are by appointment or voice call for entry. If you need their stuff, which you do, make an appointment or voice call for entry. They are on the 3rd floor of a clean warehouse with an elevator. They collect in Japan and ship their own containers. They have household ceramics, some tansu, some beautiful scroll landscape paintings, tools, tables, Japanese clothing, "go boards", sculptures, iron teapots, and more. Northern Japan is akin to Northwest USA and adjacent BC in climate and native culture. The native people in Japan are the Ainu and I visited their cultural center in Japan. Shogun's had on my visit collection of wood sculptures maybe 18-24" by 12" by 12" of bears catching salmon. It's in my pictures. Yes, Northern Japan has salmon! It is an Ainu native food. I have been known to haunt Japanese antique sales in Seattle. Some of the Shogun's items are very, very reasonably priced. I would recommend anyone interested in Japanese antiques, as seen by the photos, to visit by appointment and follow their announcements and other sales channels. The Northwest has a long relationship with Japan, Portland has a long and continuing relationship with Japan. If you want a little antique Japan in your living space or as a gift, Shogun's is a must-visit!

I could've stayed in there all day, easily. A lot of the negative reviews are baffling because prices are incredible and the employees were incredibly kind and friendly AND nobody said a single word about us touching the products. Maybe some people are just terrible at being customers? Anyway, if I wasn't traveling, I would've bought SO many things. Amazing old SLR cameras, guitars that my wife was messing around with, old toys, books, records at incredible prices... I so wish I could've fit stuff in my stupid suitcase. Records wise, they had The Four Tops, Joe Tex, Archie Bell & The Drells, Martha & The Vandellas, WILSON PICKETT!!!!!! and so many other soul albums I want to own sooo badly. Solomon Burke, for god's sake!!!! And most were $8-15 MAXIMUM which blew my stupid little mind. I need to come back here either on a road trip from CA or just suck it up and ship stuff to myself. And of course they have a beautiful puffball cat who was enjoying chin scratches but balked at my wife trying to pet her on the back (I WARNED HER). It's everything I need from a retail experience. Edit: Owner replied to ket me know they DO ship. That's excellent to know for my next visit because I am regretting that I didn't buy and ship myself records and other fascinating, strange things that I want to fill my home with.

FYI: they had to relocate in 2021 due to a fire at their old location. So some Yelp photos are of the old place. For a resale store, I am always balancing two things: (1) how items are displayed / how easy it is to browse, and (2) the value of the pricing. And unfortunately this store was too full, with narrow aisles, and some things that seemed to me like junk (probably other people's treasure)... at too high a cost. I saw a single plate for $15. I likely won't visit regularly, but I think stores like this are worth supporting!
