I use to go here all the time when I lived closer. I use to live south of downtown off college &/or south Livermore. Despite the rugged exterior, Lee's nails has always been a perfect (hole in the wall) hair and nail salon. I have gotten manicures, pedicures, full sets and waxing services in the past and have always been satisfied. It's not super fancy but you can always get what you want and you almost always can walk in and get your service done very soon. I went recently for hair cut and color as I had not done so in over a year, yikes! My hair was unhealthy despite the salon break with split ends and desperately needed a pick me up. I told her I'd Jair wanted to cut what was needed and to color lighter in a step toward a lighter color in the future. I chose my color after I was shown some samples. She cut just what was needed to make my hair look fresh and healthy again and the color was a nice step in the right direction. read more

my hair went down to my mouth (if I pulled it all the way, I have curley hair). I asked to cut only one inch of hair but proceed to cut more than half of it. Most salons and barbers spray water on the head before cutting, but this is the only time I've had someone cut my hair dry. Also, she never cut the back of my head, only the top. So now the back side is the same size as the top. Someone that I know that got their hair cut around some time after I got mlne cut only wanted a little off the top so the sides didn't look as long. She only cut around 5 snips and proceeded to make it cost 25$. read more

I decided to get my nails done for the first time in a year for a special occasion coming up. I found this place on Yelp. I had a shellac manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was not bad, relaxing and she didn't hurt me or seem rushed, the polish job nor evening out my nails wasn't the greatest, but forgivable. The shellac manicure, though.. ugh. The man who attended to me was so impersonal, I felt like I was a burden for even being there. He was so rough and even cut 2 of my cuticles causing a little bleeding. The hand massage was awful and hurt on my nail beds, it was like he was trying to pull off my finger tips with a painful snap. My nail tips were rough (I had to file all of them when I got home) and had to peel gel polish off of my skin on almost every finger. Why be in this industry if you hate it so much. Why the rush (for my manicure) when there was no one there? I won't be returning. read more

Today was my first experience at Lee's. Lee did my nails ($20.00 Shellac) and Hannah did my pedicure. The pedicure is $20.00 and I added flowers on my big toes (2 nails for $5.00). Everyone was really nice, the salon was very clean and they even offer tiny bottles of water to everyone. I really enjoyed my pedicure with Hannah. She made it such a relaxing experience. Lees is still my go to place for nails, but I noticed that I only get a perfect shellac manicure if it's done by Lee himself or his wife. I just got shellac by a new associate and even though she did a good job cleaning and trimming my nails, I think that the end result wasn't as nice as I had hoped. The color is too far from my cuticles and Im sure that the shellac will look grown out in just a few days, which I don't like. For some reason, she also kept doing the painting and LED curing at different, almost random order. Im not sure why she didn't do one layer on the whole hand, then cure, then other hand, then repeat. Sometimes she also forgot to turn the light on and I had to remind her. Not sure if this is normal now. read more

The lady did a rush job, finished my manicure and gel polish in about 15min.......which means basically no time to SHAPE my nails and seven out of ten nails are filled with color BADLY. I was looking for a new nail salon in Livermore and decided to give Lee's a shot because of the fairly good reviews. I had an appointment for 2:00pm and ended up showing up around 1:45. The salon was fairly empty so the nail tech was able to start on me immediately, which was nice. She finished in about an hour and overall I really liked the way they looked and felt. My only criticism with this salon would have to be the lack of colors. I went in with an idea of what I wanted and had to get something completely different because there wasn't much of a selection. The lack of color selection may keep me from returning if I'm looking for something specific, but other than that it was a good experience. I felt like I needed to add another review after having these nails for a couple of weeks. I was pretty happy when leaving the salon, based on the way they felt and looked. Like I said in my previous review, the color selection wasn't great, but they looked good and it was a quick trip. After only a week my polish started to chip and my nails as well started to chip on the side. After only two weeks I have 3-4 nails with chips on the polish/acrylic. Had my nails done by Lee yesterday. He ended up giving me a completely new set because the last set wasn't done right and was already lifting. I'm so glad I went with the new set because they look incredible, including the red and silver two tone I had done for the holiday season. (I'll try and upload a picture). As long as I'm getting my nails done and he's here in Livermore...I'm a customer! The place is nice, clean and everyone is so friendly. They offered a pedicure to me yesterday but ran out of time, so I made an appointment and came back today. I had the hot wax and stone massage. 1 hour of pure pampering! Loved it. Lee's is the best! I have been getting my nails done here since I lived to Livermore 5 years ago. Just left with a fresh new set of pink and white acrylics. I love how they turned out. Short, thin and natural looking. They also do shellac mania and dip powder. The pedicures here are also great. I do recommend getting the pedicure that has the paraffin wax. I've been going to Lee's for the past 10 months now and absolutely love it! This place is clean, comfy and the service is excellent and very friendly :) What I like best is the attention to detail. They really listen to what you would like - and remember in the future. I usually get pink & white and I like my nails to look natural. It's hard to find a place that will do this well and consistently. Lee does an awesome job! I can also recommend their pedis. Great massages (hot stones) and nice little extra touches like the offer of green tea / water and a warm herbal wrap around your shoulders. Verrrrry relaxing. They both take pride in their work and are very cautious/ clean in regards to covid and the pandemic. Have to update my review. I went a few months ago and really enjoyed my pedicure. Gave it a 5-star review and was excited to come back. I went back yesterday and this time added a manicure to my deluxe mini pedicure. At first the man helping me seemed friendly, but then when he started taking off my existing polish he seemed really irritated, almost as if I'd done something to piss him off. I tried not to take it personally, but it really rubbed me the wrong way. My pedicure was done by a different person than the last time, and not great. Mediocre massage, and she was digging at the side of my toe, and would. not. stop. I finally had to say (in a forceful voice) "NO MORE for today." only after asking her to stop several times. Polish on my nails is super thin, and I've already re-painted. Sad to say I won't be back, and will stop recommending this place. read more

My husband was being sweet and paid for me to go get my nails done. He said he needed to pay extra to have the old Shellac taken off - which was totally fine. When I got there the place was clean, but very hot and had quite a few flies inside. The guy was very nice and my nails looked good for 1-2 days. However after that, the polish started chipping and they looked terrible within a week. Normally I have them done at a place in Danville and it lasts me at least 2 weeks - usually the paint looks great, just the grow out needs to be fixed. When I was leaving, he said he needed to charge me an extra $5 for the french, and an additional $5 to remove the old shellac. When I got home, my husband said he had paid for all of that over the phone - so what should have been a $30 manicure turned into a $45 one. Disappointed that they would take advantage of the situation like that. Unfortunately - looks like I will have to continue driving to Danville until I find a local place that does a good job. read more

Ive been coming to this establishment for 13 years, and I've never seen it ran so well until Lee had taken over ownership. This salon is clean, the services are great and the employees are super friendly! Lee is amazing with nails! I always come here for any specialty designs I want for my nails (i.e. sporting events, Halloween, themed nails), he can do anything! If he's not sure what you want he will keep working at it until he gets it right. They are not intimidating like some salons where you feel like you can't say what you want or if you don't like it, they encourage you to speak up and strive to make it perfect! Two weeks ago (December 12th) I stumbled across Lee's nails through great reviews on Yelp. Went to Lee to try out their Pedicures. I had a wonderful pedicure!!! He talked me into getting a fill which I needed at the time and said he could make my nails look much more natural and promised me they wouldn't lift. So I decided to give him a try. Now it's almost 2 1/2 weeks later and my nails still look great!!! He was right they haven't lifted at all!!! I will definitely be a regular customer and tell others about this hidden treasure in Livermore. When I was getting ready to leave Lee surprised me with a Christmas gift which was a pretty scarf. Amazing experience! Rare for me to get my nails done at all but my hubby wanted me to feel special in prep for my b'day date. I got the sea salt pedicure and shellac manicure. Both were done in my massage chair and I felt just fabulous afterwards. I managed to nick one of my toenails and realized it about 40 min after I left. I came back and the same girl took care of it right away as well as touching up all of the rest of my toenails. I have a new place to come back to whenever I want a manicure and pedicure. I've been coming to Lee's for about 8 months now and I love them! I've done gel nails and pink and whites and they last a long a time and always come out looking beautiful. They have a a great pedicure - I just get the Basic ($20) and it's very luxurious! What got me hooked beyond the quality was that they always give you what YOU want and they really understand your style and personal tastes. I've been to too many salons where I practically have to fight with them to do it my way, which drives me crazy! When I want to experiment a little, they always have good advice that's tailored to my taste in shape/color, etc. Lastly - Lee's wife does the most amazing nail art!! For Christmas, my mom and sister and I got pedicures done and we each got Christmas art on our big toes. We did stars, a Christmas tree and snowmen. Bad experience for manicure and pedicure. One of the lady did not even wait for my feet paint to dry and started putting my slipers on which caused my nail paint look bad. The guy+ladywho did manicure for me did not even bother to file my nails and just started putting paint without covering edges. They have cheap prices but definately NOT WORTH!! I called for an appointment at almost 5 on a Sunday, expecting them to say the nest free appointment would be after the holiday on Tuesday or Wednesday, but 45 minutes later, I was getting my nails done!
