I love this place! I have been to a lot of different nail salons in the area and no one compares to here. The service is excellent and more than that, the quality of work speaks for itself. It's happened to me on more than one occasion where I make an appointment and still have to wait at other places, but never here. They are prompt and don't overbook. It is a little on the pricey side but well worth it. I am usually a gel mani and pedi girl and I have noticed that because they use such high quality products, I can usually wait a little bit longer between appointments. Just left after having a pedicure on a Saturday afternoon. I don't get pedicures often so I'm not sure if the $28 cost is average. I called ahead around 10am and was given an appointment at 11:30 which was great. The technician who did my pedicure did an ok job. Honestly, when I said I wanted my toenails cut short, I didn't realize she was going to cut them to the skin. This made me quite uncomfortable. Also, she wasn't thorough with the scrubbing. Other than telling me that the color I chose was too light for my skin tone, not a single word was spoken to me. A simple hello or a smile goes a long way. Although, I didn't get her name, I'll remember not to have her perform my future services. I'll be back because the location is convenient, the place is clean and the service wasn't awful. read more

Really disappointed. 1) The woman who did my nails did not listen or understand that I asked for round nails. The English skills of the employees here are so poor, much worse than you'd expect leading to a severe language barrier. Given this, she gave me square nails though I asked for round, and when I asked her to fix them, she literally filed them down until they were raw, and they look like the ugliest little nubs, UGH. 2) The salon has you pick a color based on a sheet of paper where they've used polish to paint circles to show what color it is. Since you cannot see the polish bottle, you do not know how old, how empty, what brand, etc the polish is. In my case, the color I chose was essentially empty and was dried out. Leading to... 3) The color on my nails is uneven and streaky. Since the polish was so dried out, as she painted the nail and drug the brush along, the polish did not make it to the tip of the nail. Leading to... 4) It's less than 16 hr since I got the manicure, and the polish is already cracking at the tips (as a consequence of her using dried up polish). The pros I would come up with for Tips N Toes are that it's clean, it's quiet/peaceful, and the technician did a decent job on my cuticles. Definitely do not recommend and will not go back. read more

I just had to update my review because my experience was too amaze today! I went back after two days because my nails started chipping and it could easily be marked like it was still not completely dry. I knew something was wrong because they've always done fantastic on my nails! So I went back, they were more than happy to redo my nails! It was great because i didn't like the design i had before and she offered to change it for me AND even asked if i wanted another color! So accommodating and seriously, this is what you call great service! Got ALL my nails completely re did even tho only a few were chipped, Ann took the time out of the business to redo, reshape and perfect everything. So happy :) read more

One lunch break my coworkers and I decided to get pedis and came across this wonderful salon! They were fast, but didn't skimp on the massage and my feet and toes looked fabulous. A return visit, my friend got a shellac manicure and after detailing her car and cleaning her house it still looks as amazing as the day she got it! I brought in a picture of a trendy nail idea from Pinterest and she was able to easily recreate the style. The only negative is that it hasn't even been a week and my manicure is chipping/peeling on every finger. Not sure how to prevent that, but I won't let it stop me from going back! read more

The service was not great, I was there for 1 hour for gel manicure and spa pedicure, I was never even offered water or tea. They rush you on and off the station because they want to cram as many customers in as possible. The pedicure was one of the worst I've ever received. I think the tech was new, it was painful when she was cleaning my cuticles and she didn't know how to apply nail polish, there was gaps and bubbles in my nails and when I asked her to fix it, she just reapply another layer of nail polish WITHOUT the top coat. My gel manicure also has streaks and air bubbles in the paint. I wouldn't come back or recommend them. read more

first off let me just say I live in concord and travel all the way to San Ramon just because Anne is so amazing !! I have really long natural healthy nails and when I first came to the salon my best friend introduced me to Anne and told me that she uses a gel overlay & shellac to make it so that my natural nails won't bend . keep in mind I'm a hairstylist so my hands are constantly in water and ever since I went here I haven't had a broken nail / or my nails bend once . I am constantly getting compliments on my nails and every time I tell each and every person that Anne at tips and toes nail salon is the BOMB =)!!!! The thing that I love about Anne is that she takes your time with your nails . Yes my appointments usually take about 2 hours , which is totally fine with me , because my nails always look perfect when I leave . I am the biggest perfectionist when it comes to my nails & not once have I ever doubted her . I am so happy that I can go to her every time and know my nails will look so great . The woman who did my mani rushed through it and barely gave me the massage that comes with it, she was annoyed that I wanted to take my watch off so that she didn't get lotion all over it. So I took the plunge and made an appointment with the highly recommended Jeannie & Katy (Mauricio went with me for a Man-pedicure). Both Katy and Jeannie are as awesome as everyone is saying. They are really friendly! And the whole treatment was so thorough and professional. The salon is very clean and airy - no fumes of any kind - just the light scent of the fresh lemon slices floating in the water. Hate to give this place a one star because my family used to go there from the first day that they opened. Once they started getting busy the customer service went down and they started acting like they didn't know us. It's a shame because I referred so many people over to them not anymore. The owner became stuck up and forgot our names. She used to come up and say hi now he acts too busy. The best nail salon I've ever been to. They have an amazing selection of colors for a pedi and although they aren't OPI or Essie, I think they are even better. The colors are vibrant and bright, they massage your feet for around 6 minutes and don't skimp out, and make your toes look beautiful. read more

This was my second visit to Tips N Toes and both were wonderful experiences. I had Anne both times and she is amazing. She listens to your needs and does exactly as asked. There are so many color choices it's a bit overwhelming .. hard to decide which beautiful color to choose! On my second visit, I told Anne what I wanted without picking a color and she chose the perfect shade and even added some sparkle. She even made a note on my next appointment of the shade color just in case I want it again. It's advisable to make an appointment as this is a very popular and busy salon. I called tips and toes to make an appointment after reading such great reviews. My appointment was for 6:15. I arrived at about 6:18. I was greeted immediately and told to have a seat and then was offered water. I liked that. However, I did wait until about 6:40. That I didn't like. My nail tech was Ann. She was sweet and attentive. I showed her a pic of the nails I wanted and after discussing colors and price, she did my nails. The only thing I didn't like about this place was that for every design on the nail it cost 5 dollars I wanted a cross, one finger with all diamonds and then one diamond on the rest of the finger, that was going to be 15 extra. That's a bit pricy for me especially since a bag of those rhinestones cost about 3 dollars. Anyways, I really liked what Ann did and would recommend going there. read more

Ann is particularly meticulous and always takes an extra minute to examine her work to make sure it's perfect. Today, she did glitter tips with big sparkles on the top layer. She actually took a whole extra 5-6 min to use her tool to evenly spread out and position the large sparkles individually on my nail so they weren't clumped together or ugly. Nobody's done that for me before! All the ladies at the spa are very, very friendly and pleasant. We've shared many laughs and have gotten to know eachother, but even then, they are always professional and give you your space to relax and be pampered! The place was empty on a Thursday around 5:30 and it was so nice to have the women fully focused on us. With other nail salons I find it so annoying when they speak to the other staff in their language and completely ignore you, but not here.
