I scheduled my car for an alignment after installing a new control arm. They called and were able to get me in earlier. There were two men on the clock, both of which were very nice and knew what they were doing. Overall I had a great experience. They were able to get me in and out quickly. Customer service was top tier. The alignment is a bit pricier than some places at $150. They were able to do this within an hour. Now, I understand this place was terrible before. The staff specifically. (I went through the last reviews and did some digging of my own.) To my understanding the entire staff was recently let go within the last month or so for how they treated clients and their vehicles. It looks like they're on the right track to correcting the issues and the two men I worked with, Tony and I can't recall the other fellow's name, were great. I had a flat tire and another one that was running flat every once in a while so I took it here to get two new tires. They were very nice showed me both my tires and told me I didn't need new tires that they just needed to be patched so I said OK. I sat there for two hours. They patched the tires by the time I got to the light five minutes up the road my tire was completely flat again and I had to take it somewhere else to get it changed. read more

Sharing an update months later. I have yet to receive a call from the store manager or the district manager like I was told I was going to, I have contacted corporate multiple times yet no one seems to care that they have lazy technicians who can't even property tighten lug nuts, and I was even told by the receptionist that day that the technician that worked on my car, R. Crites based off the paperwork, had an attitude over replacing a tire valve, a simple job. I have received a refund for my $25.93, which also shows you how small of a job this was yet they were still able to mess it up in the dumbest way possible; showing the type of people this business employs, and if it's one I'm sure there is more. Do not waste your time. We came here to have a single tire that was already off the car patched after putting the spare on due to a leak. They informed us that it would take them "1 hour" and it'd be ready to go. After no call back for 2 hours, we returned and it had yet to be touched. We were then told it would be "ready first thing" the next day and when we called an hour after they opened, it still hadn't been touched...."One more hour" (another false time estimate). We finally picked it up, put it on the car ourselves and it's still leaking air. I went to them to see if they accepted my warranty. Which they did. Due to the warranty company giving us hell and back about fixing my truck parts the staff worked with me to make sure that the job got done. He also checked the other tires which revealed one has a broken stem. He was super friendly & professional saying he had only been there a few months. This place is the worst, my insurance towed my car here for what I thought was a flat tire. After almost $4k later my car is literally barely functioning even dangerous. They released my car with the dashboard lit up with lights ie) check engine and other lights that look alarming. I no longer have power steering and my sensors are completely messed up. I took my car to another auto shop & they informed me that my vehicle has been manipulated. These Guys are amazing! The true person that gets credit is Alexander Metcalfe! He was super awesome. I came in on Monday (7/26) about 5 minutes before closing and Alexander was so awesome and let me tell him that I already made an appointment to get my tires put on the next day! He was so great and made sure that I was checked in and that my tires were there. Even on the next day he was awesome! He called me and told me that my car was done at 9:00. I was shocked since my appointment was Wednesday (7/27) in the afternoon! So i was so happy! He even kept the car longer until i came to pick it up after working long shift and that was my free day! He made sure that I knew what was going on with the car, like brakes, oil, and etc without even asking and without being charge. Most places charge you! Looked up reviews online and thought I'd take a chance from out of town. I called to get my TPMS light looked at and called store who said to bring it in they were open until 7. When I got there, manager summoned a mechanic who told me I had to wait two hours to be looked at even though on the phone the manager said to just bring it in. Mechanic argued with me that I needed an appointment for a tire patch. He kept referencing a large volume of tickets to do. All the staff was hanging out talking outside and no one waiting so how could they be that busy. The mechanic was feeding me a line of BS because he didn't want to do the work and rather than just say it he wanted to make me leave. He was successful. He said I needed a reservation. I was not told one was needed when calling. When arriving at store, no customers were there. I was told to wait 2 hours. The long hair mechanic was unprofessional and rude. I will not ever go to this shop again or recommend. I left after being disrespected since my business doesn't matter but I do have a home at Folly Island and will be sure to warn others NOT to go here. All around unprofessional and unorganized. They pick and choose what service they want and don't want to do on a one on one basis. I wonder what other corners they cut at this store because they don't feel like doing the work. My daughter trusted them with a simple repair, when another mechanic saw the work, he said that they had used the wrong bolt and put the car in peril. Just took my car that just reached 60k miles in to tread quarters to look at the brakes and AC. They said It would cost $30 to look at it. The ONLY reason I went here over fire stone it's a right by my house. Shop around be carful they hide fees and weird cost in. They said I needed my front brake pads done he quoted me $150 over the phone. I asked if I could apply my $50 coupon he said he already did ok.... Asked any other fees, he mentioned none. Go to pick up my car and he won't show me the bill I ask why is the total over $210... Wasn't adding up, finally prints for me and explains it confusing to look at. Brake and AC service $35.99 + $4 AC dye?? AND $23.97 shop fees.... He explained shop fee is for removal of oil and shop supplies. I didn't have a oil change. Then he said it's for rags and other supplies they used. But couldn't tell me what exactly they are. That's a whole lot of rags... I will be calling corporate for a breakdown of these fees. Just got new tires and oil change done few months ago at Fire Stone no where on the invoice does it have shop fees the exact price I was quoted I paid for. I stopped in at Tread Quarters after hearing a rumbling noise coming from my car. The first guy I spoke with was nice enough, but when they called me back they quoted me at $1900 worth of repairs! My dad owns an auto repair company (unfortunately 700 miles away from me), so he was well aware of my car's symptoms and had an idea of the problem. When I called my dad and summarized Tread Quarter's "findings," he told me to get my car out of there immediately, that they were trying to scare me into repairing things that didn't need to be fixed. His response was "in all of my years I have NEVER had to fix all of that in one car at one time. And I've been doing this for over 40 years!" So I took my car to a different repair company, and lo and behold, they came to the same exact conclusion as my dad who hadn't even had a chance to look at it. $246 compared to $1900 - don't waste your time or money. To make my experience with TQ even worse, after I got my car home and parked after taking it off their lot, I found a massive scratch and another smaller scratch on my back left bumper, with my bumper knocked out of place. I noticed it immediately; it's not something that I could have overlooked for even a day. That definitely didn't happen under my watch, and wasn't there when I dropped my car off. That's my word against theirs, but this company is not to be trusted. *Update: almost a year later my car is doing just fine without repairing any of the "issues" TQ "found." read more

When they finally picked up said they didn't know if my car would be done by the end of the day even though they had said it would be originally. went to have my rear brakes checked, which were making load noise when braking. Left the car and they called saying the rear brakes needed replacement. I agreed to have that work done. They also said my front brakes were also bad and the right front lower ball joint was loose and about to fall out saying it needed to be fixed now. I told them to replace the rear brakes and I would take care of the rest. The price he quoted for the additional repairs was $650.00 What I didn't tell him was the front brakes were replaced 4 months ago and both lower ball joints were replaced 3 months ago. Also took the car back to the garage that replaced the ball joints to make sure there was no problem. No problems were found with front brakes or ball joints. Had an appointment arranged for a tire rotation and balance. Showed up on time for my appointment and was told "we're not going to be able to do that for you today because our lift is broken." I did not get a phone call to let me know that I would need to reschedule.
