DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! We had my car towed here because my control arm needed to be replaced. The tech I spoke to informed me that my axel needed to be repaired. He told me that extreme damage had been caused to my axel and my car is unable to be driven without replacing the axel. My dad is a mechanic THANK GOD and told me they were LYING. I had my dad look at the car and of course there was absolutley nothing wrong with my axel. They tried to get me to spend THOUSANDS on my car for something that isn't even broken or needing to be replaced. These people are crooks and will overcharge you for the parts you do need and scam you into replacing things that do not need to be replaced. RUNNNNN!!!! read more

I got completely ripped off. I usually do my own oil changes, but due to time constraints I took my car to Firestone. They didn't replace my oil filter since it was the same filter I took my car in with they only sell at O'Reillys. And my oil plug was on so tight, I could tell someone inexperienced completed the repair. On top of that, service was horrible. Take your car anywhere else. Will NOT go back. read more

They treat me poorly every time I go there. I made a 7 a.m. appointment. I left my truck there the night before and walked home 1 mile. The next day I called about 130 and they had not started on it yet. I told the guy I made a 7 AM appointment. he said they did not go by the appointments. I had to have my truck towed in. It would not start the gentleman from the tow company said it sounded like a fuel pump. Firestone cleaned my fuel lines and charge me $300. I paid he said it would be about 30 more minutes. I said I will get something to eat and just come and pick my vehicle up. I went to start it and it would not start. I walked home. I went back the next day at 5 PM. The truck was still in the same place it was. The service manager was to call me and tell me I needed a fuel pump, but he is so frustrated with me. He did not call, the truck was running I asked could I take it? The gentleman said yes he said if it doesn't start take a wrench and hit the gas tank. Once again, I got stranded and had to have the truck towed back in to fire stone that was on Saturday. I called and asked about it and they are hateful. They said they would call me. It is Monday 5:30 PM and I still haven't heard a word. if it needs a fuel pump I want it all they have to do is call me and I will except it. My question is, is it right for me to have to pay for the fuel line to be cleaned and then it needs a fuel pump. Also the parts manager has punished me several times and let me be without my truck for over a day. People need their vehicle. I have a friend taking me to work and back. I called about my truck a noon. Was told he would call me back in 15. 5:30 and I have not heard from them yet. I want to feel safe with Firestone. I have spent almost $2,000 at Firestone this year. Now I am wondering if I needed the water pump they sold me. I was not having problems but I trusted them. I want their trust back again. go to them and not just an auto shop. Their trained staff will be upfront on your needs and realistic about expectations This is a true neighborhood service shop. I always get good quality service. Sometimes it can be hard to get an appointment as they stay busy, but I think it is worth the wait. read more

Last 2 times I have made an appointment they have let people doing walk in's go first and push my appointment back by hours. Took it in today at 9am for an oil change and alignment and they said give them an hour and a half. It's now almost 2pm and I called for a check up and they said it's going to be an hour and a half. After what I just went through with these guys is insane, after dropping off my car to get a hole patched I drove off the next day and my tire light came back on losing PSI. I went to go drop off my car again with them and they said the repair was actually unrepairable, "so what did I just pay for then?" I asked. The worker on the phone then accused me of going to another shop after I left there and got another patch done and that's why it's unrepairable, after I said that's ridiculous and kinda laughed at it they said "we can go back and forth all day, do you want the tire or not?" This may have been the worst experience with any business I've ever had. I paid thousands of dollars to have my car repaired based on their recommendation and assurances that my vehicle would be in good working order. After getting my car back the check engine light was still on. I was then told a refurbished part was installed and originally failed so another used part was installed. Shortly after getting it back again the check engine light was on again. At this point I took the vehicle to a different mechanic who said the part I had replaced had failed and caused additional parts to be damaged. They recommended taking it back to Firestone for a warranty replacement. When I brought it back to Firestone they said they couldn't tell if it was the part they replaced or another part and said it would be another $500 to find out if it was their fault in the first place. At this point the manager said if I paid the $500 and it was their part they would "make sure" it was a new part they replaced it with as if that was a extra special thing to do even though that's what should have happened in the first place. Bottom line they were unprofessional and untrustworthy. Highly recommend avoiding this location. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I cannot stress this enough. Jim and Madison (the store manager and assistant store manager) were of zero help and were some of the rudest "managers" I have ever dealt with. I took my car to them with specific instructions that I needed it to be inspected and safely drive-able on a 8+ hour car ride. They replaced the battery, but when I mentioned that the brake-light and check engine light were still on - they told me to "drive it around the block a few times" which should fix it. I trusted their "professional" opinion and attempted to drive home. The car broke down almost immediately. I went back to the store and after some talking they said they would tow the car to their location and they would give me a call tomorrow. I handed over the keys, assuming they would recover the car. Do not trust. They Replaced AC motor and took off dash. Destroyed Stereo and Shift indicator along with AC Control Head unit. Waited two weeks for them to replace the indicator. They DID pay to have the stereo fixed that they themselves cut the wires instead of putting back together correctly. Since they lost money on the job they have refused to fix the AC Control head unit that worked fine before they touched my car. I paid 1100 total for their work and got my car back in no better shape then when I dropped it off. The manger Jessie lied directly to my face saying they cannot find the head unit. A quick search through advance auto and AutoZone shows me that their is indeed the AC control heads in stock. Do not trust them. Use a local mechanic like Brysons or Dinkins whose word you CAN trust. read more

I called the local Firestone at 520 Folly Rd. Charleston, SC and requested an appointment to replace the defective tire, fix the spare and replace the brake pads on my daughters SUV. My appointment was scheduled on Monday September 16, 2024 at 12:00 pm. I planned to meet my daughter at the Firestone store Monday and I arrived first. I started to check in and the Firestone rep informed me that I did not have an appointment. I showed him the appointment notice that I had received from Firestone and he informed me that their system was "broken" because when you call their local store number for an appointment you will be forwarded to an online scheduling group who are clueless to how many openings that they really have. I immediately asked to see a manager since and she told me if we would leave the SUV a few days that they would attempt to fit it into their schedule. My daughter arrived at the store and complained that the tire was "wobbly" when driving to Firestone. We left the SUV and Friday received a call informing us that the SUV was ready and although the brakes needed to be replaced they could wait until we made another appointment to do so. It was noted on my invoice that I declined the brake job which is not the truth! We left Firestone, and my daughter complained that the new tire wobbled on the way home. We immediately took the SUV to another shop, the new wheel/tire was removed and the mechanic noted that the wheel was full of dried mud obviously from my daughter's dirt road that she lives on. The mechanic removed the mud from the wheel as well as the extra balance weights that the firestone tech used in order to attempt to balance the tire. I guess when the firestone tech replaced the tire he added too many balance weights in order to offset the mud. My warning to all, be careful when scheduling an appointment at this firestone, even their employees will tell you the system is broken! read more

I brought them an aftermarket fender to install that didn't fit entirely right, no fault of theirs, but they did the best they could and fixed another piece that was also knocked out of place. They didn't charge me anything because they "could not get it 100%." I would have gladly paid them. I cannot remember a similar experience with a business. read more

Long story short, I had a flat due to a nail in my tire and my understanding was since I could not plug it myself I needed a new tire. I took it to this location because it was Sunday and they were close. I didn't think they would be the cheapest, but I would be able I move on with my life and get it done. Frank got me set up, quoted the price and i dropped my car off. A few hours later he called and said they could actually repair the tire and asked if I would rather do this. I said absolutely knowing it would save me a lot of money and I had plenty of tread left. I saved $130 because Frank looked out for me. I will be back!! Thank you! read more

An outstanding experience. I knew my tire needed a patch because the nail was farther away than 1in from the edge of the tread. Hay Tire said I would need a new tire bc it was too close to the edge. Firestone was up front about how long it would take because I did not have a reservation (since it was a patch). They said it would it take likely closer to 2hrs bc they were busy. I told Firestone the screw was close to the edge of the tread and to let me know if they felt it was too close to safely patch (since that is what Hay Tire said). Not only was the patch cheaper than Hay's quote by $10 but they were also able to finish it in a little over an hour. I would recommend them for honest, quality, and fast work! read more

It looks like others have fared better here but I cannot recommend this shop. I took my vehicle in for tire installation service (tires I purchased independently), and upon leaving the appointment it was apparent there was a problem with wheel balance. I called the store within 10 minutes of leaving to see if I could return to have this addressed, and was informed that I'd have to make an appointment! Later, I noted they charged for items and fees that were not applicable to the job (subsequently corrected). I returned the following week for a quality assurance inspection and they advised that they had rebalanced the wheels, but within miles of leaving it was clear the issue remained, and was actually more pronounced. Thinking at this point there must be a problem with my tires I consulted the seller's tech support. They convinced me to try another balancing, and said if it was not satisfactory they'd replace the tires. Fair enough, but for the third attempt I went to another shop. They got it right the first time, and didn't even charge me for the service... I think they felt sorry for all the time we'd wasted! It appears not only was the original balance job not correct, the wheels were then "counterbalanced" when I returned, and that made the issue worse (they apparently didn't remove the original weights, and then added more weights to offset the imbalance from the original bad job). I thought I couldn't go wrong by choosing a trusted name like Firestone for my service needs, but this experience proved me wrong! read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANYTHING. I know all shops make mistakes but most own their mistakes, make things right and honor their warranty in a timely and reasonable manner. This one does not. My alternator died so not wanting to drive far I took it to this Firestone since they are the closest shop to my home. After I paid over $800 for them to replace both the alternator and the battery which they insisted was necessary, the car died again the very next day. So I brought it back first thing when they opened the following day. After leaving it there all day they finally call me at the end of the day to tell me that the battery they had given me had a bad cell so they replaced it with yet another one. At no point did they apologize for the hours of my time and money on ubers that having to bring the car back a second time cost me. Couple months later, I notice that the battery light is coming on at higher RPM and the car is laboring to start again. So I call Firestone yet again to let them know that I am having problems with their parts/work which are both supposed to be under warranty according to them. Not only did they seem not to care and not offer so much as an apology, they actually told me that they were "booked solid" for 10 days and could not look at the car until then. I said again that this is related to parts & labor under warranty by them, that this is the SECOND time I've had to go back to them for the same work, and that I cannot go 10 days with a car that won't start without a jump. They insisted that they would not so much as inspect the car if I brought it in prior to the 10 day wait. So I took it down the street to Gerald's who were happy to get it in the following morning and told me that Firestone failed to tighten the belt tensioner and had also installed yet a SECOND battery with a bad cell. So I had to pay another $180 to get a THIRD NEW BATTERY that should have been covered under warranty by Firestone. Firestone claimed that both of the new batteries they installed were brand new, but the tech at Gerald's said he had never seen 2 new batteries in a row have bad cells in 25 years on the job so they were likely misrepresenting poorly refurbished batteries as new ones. read more

It is true that first impressions are lasting ones. Jim is customer service oriented and was my first contact ever with Firestone. I went in for a tire repair for my Porsche Macan. I called before going there. Jim answered the phone and told me to come on down. When i arrived, he checked me in and remembered the phone call. Within seconds he walked me outside to my vehicle. He pulled the tire from the hatch and called over a technician, Michael (i believe). He asked him if he could fix the tire, the young man emphatically said, "Yes, of course." Jim said, "if he couldn't repair it for you, no one else here could. I would not just give this job to anyone." I respected his approach in that he didn't string me along for the "money." He did not move from my car until he knew whether he could help me with the tire. I have seen the negative comments on here regarding this firestone. Your perception is your reality, however, I cannot relate. My tire was done in a few hours and they put it on for me the next day. After the Firestone on Sam Rittenburg screwed me over and denied to see me, even after I made an appointment the day before, the Folly Rd location came through. I had made an appointment online for Sam Rittenburg for Sunday at 4pm. When I got there they denied me and said just because I made it online doesn't mean they had me on their books. They turned me away. I called Savannah Hwy and Folly Rd- and tried to explain the situation- not that I had waited until 4pm on a Sunday to call , but rather I was under the impression I had an appointment at Sam Rittenburg. Folly Rd was amazing and very understanding and accommodated me in the last hour they were open. Very quick service and very kind. I highly recommend driving the extra 15 minutes out to James Island rather than dealing with the rude people over on Sam Rittenburg. read more
