I had a terrible experience with this business a month ago and posted about it. The company commented on my previous post wanting more details, and asked me to call them a day or two after. I did that. The posted comment to call a number and extension didn't even match their automated line. The steps listed in their comment aren't even available as options. When I did get ahold of someone I got an apology and a response back that they were sending my complaint to an area manager (I forget what terminology they used) to follow up with me. As one of the people there was in a management/supervisory position. A month later and it still hasn't happened. I don't know what I really expected. An apology for poor communication as well as a waste of a whole day and $3 for replacement valve covers that they didn't put back on would have been nice from the branch involved, follow up from the parent company, anything other than ignoring the customer. read more

Had a tire plugged a month after Hurricane Ian. The waiting room had no tv, water or coffee. They charged me $40 to plug the tire!

Tire buyer has been great but the installer has been terrible. I was told a complimentary alignment would be done as well as mounting the new tires. When I got a call that the car was ready I asked how the alignment went. They said it was perfect and didn't need one. I walked into the office and asked for the alignment specs and was then told none was taken as a car was on the rack for 3 hours. It was pouring when I picked up the car so I drove home. The next day looked at all the wheels and there was brown sticky gloop all over each rim. Had to use a degreaser to remove it and then noticed each wheel had the same scratch around the outside of each wheel. I called and took it back and showed them how filthy the wheels were and that they scratched each wheel. They denied they did it but when I asked them to take the wheels off and let's see how the tool lines up with the wheels to see if the machine lines up with the scratches they got all defensive and said I needed to file a claim to get them fixed. I have called over 8 times, emailed 3 times and still no one is willing to help me. Greatly disappointed and will not be going back. read more

Can I give negative stars to balance out some of the 5 star shill posts? This location should be a case study in how not to manage a business and service customers. I had 1:00 PM appointment today for a basic synthetic oil change that I made over a week ago. I showed up at 12:45 to fill out the paperwork to make sure I got in the bay promptly. My car didn't enter the garage until 1:25 PM. At that point I understood that things don't always go according to plan. About 1:45 I asked the mechanics to please stop doing their multi-point inspection, and just do the oil change, as I had a 2:05 appointment 10 minutes away. They said sure, then walked away from my car with it on the lift and the oil drained to work on another car. Fifteen minutes passed with no activity. At 2:00 PM I walked back into the office and repeated the request for the oil change only to the service manager, as it had now been an hour. I was told that "This location is not a quick lube oil service, and we don't do business that way." No Kidding. I again asked politely if they could make an exception, and just bypass the inspection they insisted upon giving despite me wanting a simple timely oil change. At 2:15PM, the service manager informed me that they didn't have my oil filter in stock.I asked how that was possible, as I had provided the make and model of my car when I made the appointment. They told me it "Just happens sometimes." I told the service manager I wanted to speak to the owner. She said "You can't go higher than me, we're corporate." May I remind you they had drained all of the oil from my car, and it was sitting 6 feet in the air on a lift. I was now without transportation, and all of my afternoon appointments were blown. I was told that a courier had been called and would deliver the part ASAP. As calmly as I could, I went back into the office at 2:30PM and asked for the status of my car. I was told "We will get to it as soon as the courier arrives." I stood outside until 3:11PM, and went back into the office, asking on the courier status. I was told that "He is 2 miles away." Approximately 3:30, the courier arrived, the mechanic approached his car, and the courier shook his head no. I saw the the courier walk into the store with brake pads, but no oil filter. The service manager came out to tell me the amazing news, and that now someone down the road would then deliver the part in their personal car. About 4:00PM, another courier finally showed up, this time with the correct part. At 4:17PM, 3 hours and 17 minutes after my appointed start date, my car finally showed up at the curb, miraculously running and without indicator lights flashing. I honestly wondered as I drove away if the car would make it home. I write this for you, my fellow motorist and Venice resident, to advise you to stay clear of this corporate owned store that really could care less about you or your car. Their dismissive, disrespectful attitude is a waste of your time and hard-earned cash. I highly recommend this establishment and their condescending attitude if you are seeking to be bagged and curbed like yesterday's rubbish. read more

I bought 4 brand new Michelin tires from this location 2 months ago. I have purchased tires from this location for years, easily the better part of 20 years I discovered a nail in my tire and took it to this location to get it fixed. The manager made no effort to accommodate me, he explained he had only 2 guys working. He suggested that I go to their other store down the street, and so I did. They got me in right away, but they were everything except pleasent. I get it, it is Monday the 1st day of the week; however if Tire Choice managers can't be more pleasent and curious, and accommodating, there are plenty of new tire shops opening up in the area that would appreciate my business. Thank you for fixing my tire, and for making me feel appreciated as a customer. (Sarcastically speaking!) Never again! read more

This place is amazing - especially Bruce! I ran over roofing nails yesterday (03/22/2023), because they were scattered all over the road and couldn't be avoided and Bruce fit me in right away @ 5:00pm! They identified 12 roofing nails in the tire. They put brand new tires, for me, back in January of this year and thank goodness I got the hazard insurance on the tires because they gave me a brand new tire. I highly recommend this place and ask for Bruce! read more

Picked up a screw in my tire. They were too busy to patch it and made appointment for tomorrow. Next day I arrived at my appointment and they pulled my car into the bay. He then looked at the tire and said it couldn't be fixed. Pulled car out of the bay slid my keys to me on the front counter and walked into back office. What a terrific experience we had today! One of our vehicles needed a new battery in the morning and a 2nd vehicle required an oil change as well as a tire change mid afternoon. It was 'no appointment Sunday'. Well, Alex told us to come right in and that these issues would be done "no problem". I waited for the first battery repair *very clean and organized waiting area* expecting a 2 hour ordeal. There were 3 others waiting. I was thrilled when the vehicle was done in 45 minutes! This afternoon our truck was brought in at 1:30, done before 3:00. Plus he gave us a coupon (regular customers) without us asking. Very friendly, accomodating, efficient and fast. Six years of going to this business and I had an issue with my car took it in Nd I was quoted $800.00 . I was taken back by the quote and felt a little like I was being taken advantage of so I called a friend who had told me to go to Masella's Auto repair in Venice . I took the quote to them and I was quoted $289.00 to get the job done same as what was quoted by Tire Chiice. I was shocked !!!! Mounting 2 tires: Do you know what a TPMS kit involves? An O ring. Charging $7.00 for the the kit and another $8.00 per tire to install is excessive. Dirty shop, less than freindly check in. I recently bought a used car (2003 PT Cruiser) that I knew would need occasional repairs. Tires, wheel bearings, O2 sensor, etc. I initially brought the car to The Tire Choice to deal with tire, alignment, wheel bearing issues, and dealt with Steve, one of the owners/managers(?). During this visit, and now on a subsequent unrelated repair, I found TTC and Steve to be easy to work with, most importantly, honest. I know my way around auto repairs, so it's refreshing to find a shop that I feel is fair and honest. I could do the work myself, but for some things I don't mind paying an auto repair shop as long as they are honest and fairly priced. I think I found such a shop. First time coming here and was very happy. Needed to get a tire plugged due to my wife running over a screw. I knew replacing the tire may need to be an option. Called around to see if anyone could fit me in but i either got the run around or no answer at all. Called Tire Choice and they said the could get me in in an hour. They got all my info over the phone and gave me the actual price for the work so when I got there, they took the car and got to work. They were able to plug the tire and did not try to sell me or scare me into buying more and was out in under an hour. Very pleased with the work and being professional. I ordered tires from Amazon that were shipped directly to the store. Upon delivery I called to confirm and spoke to Jerry that let me know they arrived and I set up a time to have the tires installed. I showed up for my appointment and was greeted by Jerry who help me get checked in. They installed my tires in about an hour. I was skeptical buying tires off Amazon and having a different company install but thanks to Jerry and his crew they provided an excellent experience. Will definitely be going there in the future. BUYER BEWARE!! Took my Ford F150 in for a brake job. I was quoted $200. My final bill was $600. Granted I required more parts which at the Ford dealership or Autozone would have cost $60. Tire Choice charged me $160 for the same parts. I also was not advised the labour portion of the bill was going to double. Upon pick up of the vehicle I had to immediately return as the brakes were grinding. I contacted the company head office Monro Co. Customer service department and they were completely indifferent. I will never return to a Tire Choice store. read more

I ordered my tire and set up an appointment on line. When I arrived at the scheduled time and date I was told the tire did not arrive on or before 10/23 and the installation was postponed until Monday (10/26/21) at noon. Calling ahead on Monday I was told the tire had arrived and was ready to be installed on the 26th. The tire I ordered was confirmed to be a Yokohama Geolander G055...what was installed was a Geolander G058 at $25 higher price than the confirmed email price for the G055. As if this wasn't enough after I got home I found that the "technician" didn't locate the hoist/lift arm correctly on the car frame rail and the right front fender was compromised as a result. The tire being replaced was the right rear so shame on me for not looking at the opposite side before leaving the premisses. I'm certain that any time I need to replace a tire in the future it will not be at Tire Choice. read more

Not a customer currently but I was getting gas at a local station and I was approached by an elderly woman who was having trouble with her car . She had just left TC for a battery replacement and her car now wouldn't start .I contacted TC for her and explained what was going on. Expecting some resistance I was surprised that the call taker told me he would send someone out to our location ( wasn't to far from the shop) . An EXTREMELY nice tech arrived in a short amount of time to assist . Unfortunately it wasn't a simple problem ( nothing to do with battery just bad luck) and the car had to be towed , however the tech went to great lengths to take care of their customer right in the gas station lot. TC impressed me with their customer service to loyal customers and I will certainly consider them in the future for maintenance needs. read more

Went in with a coupon for an oil change. As part of the service was told that my brake fluid had gone bad . Thought at the time this was a hoax to spend more money I never heard of brake fluid going bad, but my wife was going on a long trip soon, so I told them to go ahead. The manager came into the waiting room a few minutes later and asked when I had my brakes worked on, now it so happens that I had the front and rear rebuilt only two years ago. The manager showed me the bleeder valve leaking fluid like a tap had been turned on. He said that when they went to bleed the breaks the bleeder gave way and that the people who worked on the breaks previously did not do the work. He wanted me to let him rebuild the whole system. I knew then I was being scammed and told him no just fix the bleeder valve. While waiting, I met another customer who told me he was having a part replaced on his vehicle because the manager told him that the guy who he paid to replace it originally did not replace it.
