My daughter took her little Mini Cooper to get an oil change and her taillight. Bulbs replaced. I don't know how much for oil change , but it was over $80 dollars to change 3 light Bulbs. I told my daughter to tell them to please check all fluids like most places do and the air pressure.Well all they did was tell her the tires were kind of low and she probably needed new tires. When my daughter got home, the taillight still didn't work. Shes 19 years old so they Probably Saw her coming If you know what I mean. Shortly before Firestone closed on New Year's Eve, we noticed a tire leaking air. Drove to this location, which we had never been to before, and was greeted promptly and professionally. A tech very promptly took our car and found a broken drill bit in the tire. It was patched and we were on the road within about 30 mins. Would definitely recommend and would return. read more

Recently (like a few months ago), I took my wife's car in for new tires. The other day, she hit something and punctured the tire. Taking the tire off, one of the studs/lugs was stripped. I installed the donut and brought the tire in for repair. Got a phone call saying I must of stripped a stud putting the spare on, and they're probably going to have to break off the nut and replace the stud. I told them I believe it happened when they installed the new tire, and explained why. Being it's a "he said/she said" type of deal, I totally expected them to still charge me. They looked at the fact the car was just in, listened to what I said, and they did not. The entire repair was no cost. To me, that speaks volumes of their integrity and customer service....something that is becoming more and more rare. For that reason, they're getting 5 stars from me. I brought my car to this place for a flat tire they plug the tire but damage the wheel and cracked it. They wouldn't take responsibility of the damage. They told me it was ok to keep driving the car. I was lucky the tire didn't explode while driving. I ended bringing my car to another car shop. They fixed and replaced the tire and wheel. It cost me a fortune!! Neighborhood beware!!!! The Firestone in Venice is scamming young kids just graduate graduating from high school and older disabled people. My husband has taken his truck there a couple years now however our youngest son graduated high school and we gave him the truck as a gift him wanting to start putting things in his name called up there to have an oil change. Tires rotated. Let's keep in mind. The truck has already been going to the same place for a couple years. We get a phone call saying that they change the oil but we're unable to rotate the tires. Due to all the issues, the brake fluid needed flushing. It needed pads and rotors, for the front and the back all four tires sway bar and links ball joints power steering had a leak serpentine belt, AC belt and I had to have a new battery. With this being said all the things they listed had been replaced by curry auto. A little over a year ago had all my paperwork took the truck back to Curry. they rotated the tires. Nothing was wrong with any of the things that they mentioned so I will be reaching out to Better Business Bureau and posting on every social media. I can get my hands on because I told them before I left after I knew they were trying to scam my son that I couldn't stand people that tried to take advantage of the elderly and young. I purchased the lifetime alignment on my car and was told the printer wasn't working so they couldn't get me a printed version to look at of the alignment done but would email me one later that day. I received the screenshot a day later and the before and after photos were the same with my left rear tire still out of alignment. To add to the insult of the work not being done, I was charged $15.20 in "Shop Fees". I brought the car back a few days later and another technician did confirm with me that the alignment wasn't done properly when I originally took the car in. The technician who did the original alignment knew this wasn't done properly but yet nobody brought to my attention that the rear driver side wheel was still out of alignment. I understand mistakes are made but between there being a mistake of the job not being done properly and it never being brought to my attention is unacceptable. This place is a scam. First scam: .. "well, we can't replace the brake parts that are bad, we need to replace ALL the parts in order to warranty our work.. and we won't do the work otherwise." Yeah, sorry guys, everyone knows this is an up-sell scam Second scam: parts were 2x list price, if not more.. for parts that they don't have to stock, buy at wholesale (40%? margin already) from a parts store who delivers them to their door as needed Third scam: After replacing ALL the brake parts as they required, they introduced a shudder into the rear brakes.. the only thing they worked on. Problem wasn't there prior to their work, was incredibly easy to isolate to the back brakes by using the e-brake. Brought it back to them and instead stated it was "likely a bad brake line on the front passenger side and would have to do a full brake replacement (calipers, pads, rotors, more) to address the problem.. I took it to two other mechanics who immediately stated the rear parts were faulty. Had one of them replace those parts under warranty, shudder is gone. Again, this isn't rocket science or some weird nuance.. problem wasn't there before, it was the only thing they worked on.. My 16yr old did was able to correctly diagnose it with google. Fourth scam: tried to tell me I needed new shocks and struts, even though the car handles fine and without any steering, braking or ride issues. Fifth scam: they allegedly performed a vehicle inspection without me requesting it and charged me for that. Hard to have missed several things wrong with the truck including a rubbing strut on the upper control arm, a battery terminal leaking acid and fluids that were low. Inspections solely for the sake of an up sell are nothing new, but they're usually free and they don't typically miss things like that.. for obvious reasons Sixth scam: they told me I needed an $84 oil change as my oil indicator stated so and the oil looked like it too. Oil was replaced the week before, the counter just wasn't reset. They never cared to check, just thought I would hand them some more cash. I tried to resolve this with the manager (Michael) who asked that I call back the following week to discuss. Wasn't able to discuss then either, but told me he would call me back.. never did. This went on for a bit until I finally got a hold of him and he told me to go away, he was going on vacation soon and didn't want to deal with it. So I brought my car here to try and figure out why the dust cap on my passenger headlight was stuck it was a brand new headlight that was installed the day before by the dealership so I did not want to break it. The technician named Collins came out to my car with me and we popped the hood. Within about 20 minutes he finally popped it off and I gave him $40 cash for his help and service. I gave him a light bulb to install for me, we actually attempted to install multiple bulbs and none would fit. We specifically left one connected to the adapter in the headlight (which it did not fit the headlight socket), towards the end of the night and we closed the hood. A man named Michael (probably the store manager) told me to go grab some LEDs which were previously in the old headlight before being replaced so I brought some LEDs from auto zone. He told me he could remove the clip with an Allen key so that it could fit the headlight socket and that he could have it done by the next day. I told him I would prefer for it to be done the day of because I did not want to drive without a headlight at night, and that I wanted the lightbulb we previously installed that did not fit removed because I was afraid it would damage a $1100+ headlight. Collins and Michael both told me in the office that it was completely fine for me to leave the lightbulb connected to the headlight and placed in the socket regardless of the fact it did not fit and they stated it would not damage it. I took their "professional" advice and drove off. That very night I drove to Walmart and noticed a weird smell. When I looked at my passenger headlight it was filled with smoke. I popped open the hood and let it air out and cool down. When I removed the bulb I noticed the socket on this BRAND NEW $1100 headlight was melted. When I told him about the issue the next day while picking up my LEDs he told me that it was not his problem and that they were my lights. I called corporate and reported the issue. He called me the next day while I'm at work harassing me as to the fact that I submitted a claim. He was extremely unprofessional, yelled over the phone, cussed me out and told me word for word "I'm not paying for your f****** s*** BYE!" And hung up on me without even letting me talk. I've only ever visited this place 3 times. By my 2nd visit I had already spent almost $1000 at this place! You would think they would treat long term customers who spend a lot of money much better than this! read more

Terrible. I booked a 1:30 appointment for a battery installation. When I called the day before they said they had the battery in stock and encouraged me to make an appointment. When I arrived the next day on time, a very sarcastic young man at the desk told me they wouldn't be able to do the installation until at least 4pm, and I "should call someone to come " and take me home and bring me back to pick up my car at 5pm. He said "my guys are working on some big jobs and won't be available until then". I told him to forget it and I went to Autozone and had my battery replaced in 15 minutes. Let me start by saying I have lifetime Warranty on tire rotation, alignment and balancing. The guy on the counter now says they have a $10 special on tire rotation and checking all fluids. I said I have life time rotation already, why pay another $10? I had a gut feeling they were trying to make money one way or another. So I made sure I said no to any other work. Then they called me back saying I needed a full set of lug nuts because they can not pull one off a tire. Remember this last part, according to the person that called me, They can not pull a lug nut off and they have been working on it for about an hour. Needless to say they have not had the car for an hour. So that was going to cost $280 for all of them. I said, stop I want to see what's going on. When I get there, he explains and shows me the lug nuts. The lug nuts are 10 years old. But not to the point that you can not get a socket on it to remove it. I said leave those. Miraculously the mechanic was able to pull the one lug nut without a problem while I was there. Not only that but was able to put all of them back without a problem. Mind you they said they had to do it by hand because they couldn't get it done with air tools, this was all a lie, just trying to rip people off. So be warned they will rip you off if you are not careful. I do not recommend this shop! read more

Took my car for an alignment and a diagnostic check of the engine and all seemed to go well. When I left, the car was still pulling to one side. So I decided to take it to the dealership to have it checked out. The dealership provided me data that showed Firestone had NOT done any alignment. I got a call from Firestone shortly thereafter asking me to come back for a refund because they "felt bad" that they couldn't find anything wrong with the engine.... No mention of the fake alignment that I paid for. Then when I went back to Firestone, I showed them the data from the dealership and they were speechless...probably because they're not used to someone actually checking on their work. They gave me some BS excuse and told me that the alignment machine wasn't "calibrated" properly. Although I received a full refund, I asked why they were OK with taking my $$ at all, to which they had no believable answer. DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE WITH YOUR CAR. I only found out about this because my dealership was kind enough to do an alignment check and provide me with the black and white data. read more

Irritated at best. They did a good job on my tires and alignment. My issue is with the credit side. I had an open CFNA charge card that I've had for years. I go in to get 4 new tires and put it on the card. Manager Justin assists me and says I can look up your card number. I have the physical card in my hand. He sees the account but it won't go through. I show him on the app my current open to buy is easily covering the charge. Fast forward 22 minutes and two calls from him to the credit center. They said my account was going to be closed due to lack of use but no one had closed it on the credit end. He says he fixed the issue and asked for my SSN. I get a notice from credit monitoring a moment later. I make my purchase and leave. I go to pay on the card and am told they can't find it. Come to find out on that date they closed my account mad opened a brand new one with a hard inquiry on my credit. They state nothing they can do or why they wouldn't just use my open account. Ridiculous and now my credit is negatively affected. read more

warning!!!! please be aware if you go to this establishment in north port fl on toledo blade blvd. several weeks ago in aug 2024. i stopped in to get a tire replaced due to a nail. i got back on i75 and travelled towards orlando....after 2.5 hrs the air was already leaking. i had to get off and change it out to my spare. i suspected the tech did something wrong because after i paid for it, it took her quite a bit to mount and balance it. i was so frustrated that i took my brand new tire that i paid $360 for and had it inspected by a different shop. i watched as they tested for leak and it was coming from the bead. i observed as they took the tire off the rim and we saw that the bead of the brand new tire was damaged!!! they asked if i got it at walmart be cause they see mant bad insrallations and they new the tire was new and expensive. i informed them that it was firestone. i ended up spending another $350 for another tire. yes, i could have gone back and challenged firestone but i did not want to deal with them any further. i was lucky that the tire did not blow and the truck did not flip or loose control on the interstate. you are putting your life , that of your family and other motorist at risk when you trust people to work on your vehicle. i will never go to a firestone again and i will be cancelling my firestone card as well. read more

Went in for a $10 car Diagnostic and they said they would call us before they did any work. No call received until work was done and we owed $80 for 2 ounces of Freon they put in the car when my dad snd hubby had just tested for Freon and it read full. The mechanic said sometimes those cans of Freon don't read right, ok sure but why did you put more in without even consulting us??? RIP OFF. read more

Brought my 97 Ford Ranger in for a set of 2 tires today, great deal on the tires. The people there are top notch. Was a little concerned about how long it took to put 2 tires on, but got my answer, due to the fact they gave the truck a once over and also found my front tires were out of alignment. Traveling to Ca. wanted to make sure everything was all right. 20 minutes later I was done. I just moved here from Indiana in late August. My tires needed changing and they were all going flat even after spending what they were worth to reseal the rims up north. I was hoping I just needed new tires since the ones on there were the wrong size and used. I went to Firestone because they were running a special on the Indy 500 tires and it looked like a good deal, plus my reputable neighbors highly recommended this location. I set up an appointment and arrived on time. Luckily, I had nothing else to do because I was there for over 4 hours!!! Shockingly, they said that my tire rod was almost rusted through and that it needed to be changed. (I'm starting to think that this is one of those shops that conveniently finds something expensive to fix with every service.) I had mentioned to them that I was getting new tires because my others had been going flat and that I'd spent a lot of money to reseal them all at least twice. I asked them to see if the rims were oxidized and to scrub them and seal them up if possible. I had to tell them this THREE separate times because the front desk guy just kept forgetting I guess. I also mentioned that when I changed my tire to the spare because I had a blowout, one of the lug nuts got broken and I would need a new one put on before I left. Again, I had to tell them 3 separate times and they let me leave with 3 missing lug nuts that I then had to buy myself and put on at home. I had to remind them that the tire in the trunk was a blowout and that one of the old tires needed to be put on that rim so that I would have a spare tire if need be. The fact that I not only had to tell them to do this (it should be standard practice), but again REMIND THEM THREE TIMES AND DOUBLE CHECK to make sure it was done before I left is INSANE. Overall I spent $900 for everything. I don't have an issue with their pricing. What I have an issue with is their LAZY and TERRIBLE customer service to even do the bare minimum that comes with the job being done. I just had to take my car to a different shop to get the rims sealed AGAIN because two of the tires are going flat at least twice a day. The shop told me "that first shop doesn't know what they're doing because they put the wrong weights on all 5 tires and you'll have to get it fixed or it'll just keep going flat" so now I have to spend money to fix their mistake. I would NEVER recommend this shop to anybody. It's a -10/10 for me. read more

I took my '07 civic to Venice Autozone on a Saturday, thinking I just needed a new battery, but they informed me I actually needed a mechanic and referred me to Firestone Complete Auto in Venice. I wish I would have read the reviews first. I brought my car there Sunday and the man at Firestone told me they would call me after running a diagnostics test and would discuss solutions and pricing. The next time I heard from them was Tuesday at noon saying my car was ready to be picked up and it's going to cost $910.I then confronted the service advisor that I was unhappy that they didn't give me an option before working on it and he had said that the company had a bad miscommunication on their end and that their phone couldn't send outgoing calls. It's 2021, everyone has a phone and I don't buy it!! Please do not give this company your $$ or time, I feel like I got scammed. read more
