I had a very nice experience at tire discounters Alexandria. I feel I got a good deal on tires .

This was, without a doubt, the worst car service experience I've ever had. I initially went in for a low tire pressure warning and suspected a nail in one of my tires. I was told the issue was with the front passenger tire, but that it couldn't be patched due to low tread. They also found there was a bubble in the front driver-side tire, possibly from pothole damage. I agreed to replace both front tires--I was charged $612 for two tires, when the exact same set of four is available at Costco for around $780. I agreed due to convenience because I had work and other obligations get to. Unfortunately, the experience only went downhill from there. Later that same day, my low tire pressure warning came back on. When I returned, they told me the rear tires were slightly underfilled (33 PSI instead of 36), adjusted them, and sent me on my way. Within hours, the warning came back again. I then had to leave my car overnight. The next morning, they informed me there was actually a nail in one of the rear tires and said they patched it--something that directly contradicted their original diagnosis. At no point did they show me the tire or the nail, so I have no confidence that the issue was ever properly identified. To top it off, after picking up my car yet again, I noticed they hadn't even replaced the valve caps, forcing me to return for a FIFTH time. This entire experience was frustrating, inconsistent, and incredibly inconvenient. I would not trust this shop and will not be returning. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

They are really so bad we did pay over 2k to fix the car and still the issue the same and they overcharged us

I scheduled an 11am appointment for alignment which I arrived early. At 12pm I noticed my vehicle was still sitting in the lot where I parked. I asked the front desk clerk why my vehicle was not being worked on at the time of appointment and he said he only has one guy doing alignments. I canceled the appointment. They Provided me great service. I went to the taste of Cincinnati and got coupons for free services I was able to get a free oil change it was very fast they also did a tire rotation, changed my windshield wipers and had great hospitality I can not complain these were amazing people all of them. They work so hard to make sure we are provided great service!!! read more

My husband took my 2018 VW GTI to get 4 new tires put on, on 10/6/2022, which did happen & I spent almost $1,000. I washed my rims the next day, because they were covered in the wax/lube that is used to put the tires on and discovered 2 out of my 4 rims now has gashes in them. My husband called up there 3 days in a row to talk to the manager & everyday they said the manager wasn't in, but would give a message to call back. No one has ever called back. I'm not even asking for anything, but I just wanted to let them know what they did to my rims! Not happy, especially after spending almost $1,000 & trusting they wouldn't damage my car! read more

I dropped the car off at 11:00 and asked to pick it up at 3:00. The job was an alignment. They did a great job: the car was ready early; they called my cell phone to tell me when it was ready. I felt that I could feel an improvement in the way the car handled after the alignment, which was covered by a 5-year plan I bought at the time of the tire purchase. I always like to see the print-out from the machine which shows the amount of correction made with the color-coded adjustment and tolerance range. read more

I'm kind of surprised at all the negative reviews on here. I've used this Tire Discounters since at least 2010-2011. The service managers have always been good to me. I should mention that I only come here for tires and alignments, as I am DIY auto enthusiast. I've brought a number of vehicles here and bought several sets of tires without any issues and I'm extremely particular about where I take my cars. Nothing ever took longer than expected. However, if you're planning to have work done, you should schedule an appointment. Walk in appointments that don't get priority and take all day shouldn't be a surprise, because this store is always busy. I've never had any unexpected damage cause by this store. The managers in fact, have always come up to me with any potential issues and shown me what could be a problem, part in hand. They are good, honest, hardworking people. Shout out to DJ and RT in particular. They've always done me right. read more

Brought my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. I always have my tires rotated when when the oil is changed. I was called to the counter and told it was completed. Then I was informed that the mechanic didn't rotate the tires because he didn't feel it was necessary. Maybe another shop would follow directions and be happy to have my business and also the 4 other cars I bring in . read more

unreal!!! I was a service manager or advisor for 20yrs, I've never imagined such a poorly run business. I got new tires several months ago, grease all over my car. I hesitated to take it back to have them rotated, but how can you screw that up??? 2 ways it seems. I had to call to see if my car was done, he said there was a mishap and that a new guy broke the wheel lock on my Lexus. I get to the shop, my car still on the lift, and I walk out to it. they didn't have the lift set correctly, and destroyed my side skirts/ground effects on the car. they tried to drop it quickly before I could take pictures, but I was still able to. they said they had no idea who set the lift, and that it didn't matter anyway???? I have not gotten a call with the new wheel locks he ordered weeks ago, I'm sure they are waiting for me to call them. pathetic to say the least. I think tire discounters should pay for my future rotate and balances at a reputable, non child employee business. a waste of money and time. 2 times I went there, and 3 mistakes.... that's a new low that I don't want any part of in the future. except for them paying to get my Lexus repaired!!! read more

This is the second time I've been to tire discounters since I purchased all 4 tires back in 2016. I'm really glad I purchased the road hazard insurance on the tires because today it officially paid for itself. Since 2016 I've had to replace a tire and now get a plug in another tire both from nails. Benjy the front desk representative was extremely friendly and saw me without and appointment. I will for sure be going back within the next year to buy another set of tires. read more

I saw the negative reviews before I wanted to give them a fair shake. My car is my work, so the longer its out, the more im going in the red hole. Seemed excesive for minor stuff for time, brought it in on opening , scheduled hoping to get a half day after already loosing an entire day. 9 hours latter day 2 its done. Then 3 miles latter my over heating light came on, this is a first. Fairly new car. And my one tire has had a slow leak since my 1st time in. New cars have that lava light that comes on in on it. I keep an electric pump. Its a work vehicle! . The ugly? Male organ on dirty rims, sketched by an aspiring ticked off artist today.(On a garage kept car. )I had filled the tire, the new leaky only 24 hours before. No TD Picaso on the rim then....i have photos, its only used for work. Never parked. They did the rotation day 2, today. . Was in there on Friday when a guy came in yelling if it took 6 months to do an oil change. Give em credit for getting it all done. How well remains to be seen. Call it coincidence. I go and come back an hour and a half later and the car hasn't even been put into the shop but other cars that were not there when I was were up on the jacks. I was told it would be another hour and a half and that they were just about to pull it in. To me sounds like laziness. read more

I called four days in advance to schedule an appointment. I showed up at the time and date I called fir my appointment. The manager said I had no such appointment. He said next time to call the day before to confirm the scheduled appointment. So the first time you call, they just ignore the customers request for an appointment, and they want you to call over and over again to try to get the appointment you want. These guys are too busy for their own good. The popular tire business in my recent visit was overrun with customers. Whether they are worthy of this adulation is debatable. The bottom line is long waits for customers and harried front line workers dealing with people both in person and on the phone. Whew! Yesterday's visit involved a nail in my truck tire. 8 hours after the truck was left I received the good news that the tire was finally going in for repair. Shortly thereafter I got the bad news that the tire was ruined. So be it. Still waiting for word on a replacement tire. My guess is they're too busy. read more

I've been coming here for years with different cars I've had over the years. I've never once had a negative experience with the staff. They offer Military discount and have always made sure I'm getting a good deal on things. I have watched others come in here and get upset with the staff when things don't go as planned with their car. I feel people fail to realize that they brought their cars here for a reason, they didn't want to deal with any issues of doing it themselves. It can be frustrating but I know the staff goes out of their way to take care of each customer. I'll continue to come here because they have great prices and friendly staff! read more

I've had two bad experiences with this place. First I went online to buy tires off the Tire Discounters website- online the price said $112 per tire & pick up at store. I bought the tires, went to pick them up and the employee at Tire Discounters told me the in-store price was $176 per tire. I showed him the receipt where I'd payed $448 + tax online and the receipt said 'pick up in store'. He responded with "yeah, that's the online price" Yeah, the price I paid YOUR company that assumably they'd honor at a store. Second time I brought my Honda in to have new tires put on- they must've gotten sloppy with the install because they broke two of my TPMS sensors. I got the light on my dash alerting my tire pressure monitoring system wasn't working THE NEXT DAY and promptly brought it back- the employee that I talked to couldn't gaf less about my issue- aired up my tires (did he really think that would fix it?) and said the light should turn off in another fifty miles. Well, it never did. I drove around for 8 months with my TPMS light on because they broke the sensors. Took it to a real mechanic & it was a $500 fix. bottom line: Don't do business with this Tire Discounters- they don't honor online prices and they won't fix your car when they f it up. read more

Visited it recently and management seemed to have changed for the better. A year or so ago it was not a place I would recommend. They are slow on putting new tires on ....they will say about an hour but it will be around four -had this happen twice. It is best to drop of your car and go back later or you will be sitting in the waiting room all day. New service counter people are friendly. They are helpful but they don't have a large selection of tires to examine if you plan to buy, mainly rims on show. So do your homework before you go. Bought a couple sets and the tires are fantastic. read more

I bought 4 new tires in 2017, front brakes, entire sway bar replaced at same time at this Amelia store. I had a 4pm scheduled appointment on 5/15. Told them I needed rear brakes and a driver side sway bar link was broke per another garage. At 5:25pm, the guy at desk tells me yes I need brakes and sway bar link. I was not out of the store until 7:57pm. Closing time is 7pm. Another guy sitting there had dropped his vehicle off early that morning and came back at 5 to pick it up. His vehicle sit there all day and they did not start working on it until he came in to pick it up. Poor management imo if you take an appointment for someone you need to be aware of how to manage it instead of taking every walk in. I will never go back to this store except to correct any possible defective work already done. read more

I have used Amelia TD for about 9 years and this past year has been a nightmare. I have gotten the run around , false advertising and and taken advantage of when it was me a woman vs my husband. O requested the deal for Cooper tires , 4, for $120 each and after 3 days of waiting ended up with a different brand the same price and they didn't even do the balance right! Very frustrating. I hope we get better management and workers. It we will be looking for a different store. read more

My daughter was in an accident which caused a lot of structural damage to the right front wheel. I was able to drive the car in with the spare (donut) on a Saturday morning. They diagnosed it and fixed multiple problems, ordered a new rim and tire which will be in on Monday!! I was so appreciative for the quick, reliable and thorough service. I have been a tire discounter customer for years and wouldn't think about buying them anywhere else. Overall high service standards and great value for your money. However, at this particular location, there never seems to be any urgency about anything. I sit for an hour or two listening to the sales staff talk about their fishing escapades, they're hunting conquests and their golf trips. Those things along with who's getting a lunch break next trumps customer service. Long waits, even though my car has clearly been serviced and is parked outside and ready for check out. Not only that, but despite two requests for them to make sure the service light is turned off, I can't get that to happen because I am wrong and I don't know my car apparently. I've owned it for 11 years and every time the tire pressure is low, the maintenance light comes on. But according to the front desk staff -I am wrong and they're right and that isn't what happens (there's apparently another light that comes on. ) All I can say is in 11 years that hasn't been my experience. Would it really be so much trouble to turn the light off for me? I guess so... read more

I am very happy with Tire Discounters in Amelia. I needed my head light changed asap. I called several places and other TD with no help. The Amelia TD was more than accommodating, kind and helpful. The experiences that I have had is beyond aggravating. The manager Mike Funk is one of the most ignorant human beings I have ever come across. He has repeatedly lied and said things that were untrue and when confronted, he acts as if he has no memory of the conversation. I have spoke to him numerous times and not one time was he honest. He tells you what you want to hear and then does not follow through. I would NEVER recommend dealing with this man. He is so far beyond stupid and unprofessional it is amazing that he can even function. Now we come to the General Manager... Russ Zolnowski. He does not back or even know what his employees are telling customers. When confronted, he was equally ignorant and oblivious to any conversations that were had. This experience has been incredibly aggravating. I can't believe people like this are in charge of a business. I have never seen such a mass amount of stupidity and unprofessionalism in my life. read more

they did $617. damage to the floor of our 2011 liberty that had around 45k miles on it when they improperly lifted vechicle! they refuse to pay and are full of lies and excuses!!!!!!!!!! if you have had your vechicle there you should have it checked for damages!!!!!!!! and then find a different tire store that will not lie and damage your vechicle!!!!!!!! read more
