Longtime Customer Left Extremely Disappointed I've been a Tire Discounters customer for more than 10 years and have generally had good experiences, which makes what happened at the Five Mile location on August 6, 2026 especially disappointing. I scheduled an appointment several days in advance for four tires and an alignment on my 2003 Toyota Corolla. I was quoted $642 out the door for Cooper Endeavor tires. I dropped the car off around 12:30 p.m. for my 1:00 appointment and was told I'd "definitely" be done by 6:00. At 5:00, my car was still sitting in the same spot with the original tires on it. When I asked about it, I received what I felt was an unnecessarily hostile response. Then, at 5:57 p.m.--three minutes before the promised completion time--I was finally told the quoted Cooper tires weren't actually available. I was told the employee had somehow quoted tires for a '97 Civic. I was offered Kumho Solus tires instead, about $40 cheaper. After spending most of my day waiting, I reluctantly agreed. When I returned around 6:40 p.m., my car had only just been placed on the lift. I waited another 40 minutes while the tires were installed and the alignment was performed. The biggest problem came afterward: my steering wheel was perfectly straight before the alignment. Immediately after leaving, it was approximately 1/8-1/4 turn to the left when driving straight. I now have to hold the wheel crooked to travel straight. I also discovered afterward that my customer account contained an address I have never lived at. This wasn't simply a busy shop taking longer than expected. It was a combination of an incorrect tire quote, extremely poor communication, an all-day wait, and an alignment that left my previously straight steering wheel crooked. I understand that mistakes happen, but I expected considerably better from a company I've trusted for more than a decade. I hope management will take the time to investigate what happened, correct the alignment issue, and address the communication and transaction problems. If Tire Discounters makes a genuine effort to resolve these issues, I will gladly update this review. read more

I stopped in to get a quote for 4 new tires. They scheduled me for the next day at 1:30pm. I was there to drop my car off at 1:25pm and they said it would be a couple hours. By 3:30pm they had not even started on my car. They apologized and said they were down 1 person. My issue, is why didn't they tell me when I dropped it off that it would be a 4 hour turn around. My expectation was not met due to lack of communication from them. I canceled my service and will go back to Bob Summeral. They always work around my schedule, provide me with realistic expectations and solutions and there always seem to be some type of deal or coupon for what I need done. I had got a nail in my tire and needed it repaired asap as I had a day full of errands. Nobody could fit me in same day until I called Tire Discounters on Five Mile road. They were closing soon and still took amazing care of me. The staff was very helpful and friendly especially the manager. I have painted rims and they were very carful to not scratch or damage them. Lane is gone or not working when I have shown up. over 1 year ago they had me waiting 75 minutes for a rotation. OK stuff happens. I have been going to Tire Discounters for almost 15 years. This store has been open around 4. My recommendation is to go to the Beechmont Store. This store overbooks. I had a 5PM appointment yesterday for a tire rotation. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes. I got 2 lame stories from 2 of 3 managers. One was the 4PM appointments went over and there was no free bay. Cmon I arrived before 5 PM and saw 3 others in the waiting room. My last 45 minutes I was all alone. They have 8 places. A tire rotation takes 20 minutes. The Beechmont store earlier in the year did 4 new tires and a alignment faster. I just couldn't get an appointment there. The other manager said my car was worked on by a new hire and he has to be watched and checked by another employee. If that is true don't hold up customers. Finally when checking out they said next time tell them and they will skip the inspection. I never asked for one. The only thing they said was that I need new struts and shocks soon. I asked them how they came up with that and was told the age of my car. Hate to tell them I already had them replaced. What scammers! BTW didn't catch that my car was leaking oil. I knew it and had an appt with the dealer today for that and other things. read more

Service was good, though it seemed that the man that helped me did not immediately look hard enough to find that I had paid for the extra insurance... and then he mis-read the page and said that I had purchased insurance for only 1 tire... and then he said that I had purchased insurance for 5 tires when I had only bought 4 tires (???)... ...but once that was straightened out, the replacement of the blown tire went smoothly. read more

Went to buy new tires/wheels for a truck hoping they might be helpful. "Shawn" simply went thru the motions. Was really not helpful at all. Didn't make any effort to look up wheel offset as I asked; make recommendations for new wheels base on the specific tire I wanted; and noticed as I left he used 15" wheels in lieu of the 20" resulting in my surprise for another $1k. Asked if he had alternatives......silence, no return call. Zero help. Better service at McDonalds. Turned me off as customer for life. Go to tire rack. I was charged twice for the same tire. They gave me a used loaner tire while they ordered a new one just for a couple days. I had to go to the store 3 times after they lost my invoice. The gentlemen at this location were extremely friendly, and the service was wonderful. However... we were quoted 475.00, and when we arrived to pick the car up our final cost was 590.00. We were told it's not their company policy to include tax and labor over the phone. Imagine the surprise when you're ready to pay and your total is ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS over what you were expecting. This is unacceptable and borderline dishonest. In all my years of car ownership I've never experienced such a thing. When I ask over the phone what my final cost will be, I'm told what my final cost is. Lied to me. Recently I dropped off my vehicle for a balance and rotate. When I picked it up the associate gave me a quote for a right-front axle replacement. I was about $1000.00. He told me the boot was ripped and there was grease everywhere. I declined the work. I took it to Ulmer's on Salem: they found loose clamps on the boot, no other problem. They tightened the clamps and cleaned the area: no problems found. They told me I didn't need a new anything. read more

Seven days ago, I ordered 4 tires for my son's car online, also called and made an appointment to have them installed. Showed up today, to have them installed, for some reason there was a "note" with the order saying only needed two, why? After trying to sell me different tires and telling me they could install those two today, I said forget it, and walked out. I made this appointment to have this done, because my son works ,and is in his final semester of college, and very rarely gets home. TD really let me down with this. read more

Used to rave about this store but last two visits were sorely lacking. My daughter took her car in on June 27, 2018 for an oil change and tire rotation. She had an appointment but it still took nearly two hours. Tires overinflated to 33, should be 30. Oil life monitor not reset. Sloppy. In mid December 2017 she had the oil changed and the middle brake light had two of three bulbs burned out. After much discussion the tech claimed the housing assembly was melted and needed replacing. Having owned this vehicle since new and having had the light bulbs burn out before, I know it's a simple task to fix. After having the car all day I was told it was ready. It wasn't and the assembly was not replaced and also loose. Was told they could get one for $120 but I declined as I could get an OEM part on eBay for $85. Imagine my surprise when I went to install the new part and discovered the old part was in perfect condition. All that was needed was $6 in bulbs. If you're too lazy or inept to do a simple repair you have no business working on cars. read more

Highly recommend. Excellent service at a fair price. Screw in my tire after driving only 2,000 miles in a brand new car; it was a horrible day. Able to schedule an appointment online and get in same day to have my tire fixed. Even took the time to put my jack, donut tire, and everything else back in its place after I left it all over the place in the trunk. $30 and an hour to get my tire fixed. Do not take your car to this location. Every single time I take my car there, they call me saying my car has problems that do not need to be fixed or are unnecessary to do. They will DEFINITELY try to scam you on your money. They charge you crazy amounts of money for services that take 1 minute or cost them 1.00. They changed my oil and put my drain plug on so tight that it could have ruined my engine. They use the cheapest oil filters around. Overall, the service is not up to par and they try to scam you for your money. They do not care about taking car of your car, they just want money. Never taking my car there again!!!!!! read more

Sales woman was not knowledgeable. Tires were $119 a piece and the aliegnment was $89. Somehow that added up to be $397. Firestone's quote was $328. The Anderson Tire Discounters price gouges the customer. If you live in Anderson you must be rich and ignorant. Scheduled an appointment giving tire size and brand. When I arrived the tires were not there and had to be ordered and rescheduled for Thursday. Why did I call and schedule an appointment just to have to come back at a later date. My family and I have been Tire Discounters' customer for years. Never have I dealt with such bellidgerent disregard to my hard earned dollar. I will never deal with Tire Discounters again. Have been going to this store for years. Benji and Lane have been good. Had new tires and level kit put on truck. Came back next day told them not only sounds bad drives bad. Told Chad that I don't think something is right. Gave me a list of things to buy on line. Get them bring back and pay them for installation. First time on 275 highway at 5 mile less than 50 miles since work done ball joints come out of socket lost brakes and steering at 75mph. I could have been killed!!!!!!!!!!!!! or someone else. Had it towed to store $2000 to fix,(not one apology) called back said no thanks I will go a different direction to get recourse DJ then drops price to $1200(I buy parts they cover labor). No thanks again I could have been killed or what if my son would have drove it and that happened to him????? I heard a popping sound and my tire pressure light went on as I pulling out of my driveway with my two pre-schoolers in the back seat at 7:15 am. I had to get to work for a meeting and knew it was a matter of time until my tire was completely flat. I dropped my kids off at preschool a mile from my house and drove to Tire Discounters about another 1/4 mile away knowing time was not on my side. Not realizing they opened at 8:00 I approached the door and was greeted by nice gentleman named Matt at about 7:30. I read the hours on the door and apologized for being there early, but it did not seem to matter to Matt. He asked me what the problem was and I told him. They checked the pressure, removed a nail from my tire and had it patched within 35 minutes and I made it to work just in time. One of my tires was leaking air, so I just popped in. They filled the tires up, identified the likely cause, and gave me an 8am appt the next day. They told me the tire was still covered under the warranty. The work was done in under an hour, it didn't cost me a thing, and they even held the door for me on the way out.
