I have had the pleasure of working with this wonderful group for both tire service and for oil changes. They even included a free rotation with my oil change. They work as fast as they can, but they treat each customer individually. They are honest about the work they are doing and will discuss with you any work that you may not have initially come in to get done BEFORE they do it. They aren't pushy with their recommendations, but they do know what they're talking about. I knew I needed a set of tires soon, but when I had a flat on the drive here, I needed to get a full set on a Saturday. My tire size is a bit uncommon even though it is OEM. That meant I didn't have a lot of options. I had researched what I wanted and made some calls, but couldn't find what I had picked anywhere. If I could wait until Monday I could have gotten them. So, I had to go with what was available. Tire Discounters had the best alternate set, so I went there. They are easy to find on Battlefield across from Parkway Plaza. It's pretty new, so it's still clean inside and out. The clerk I talked to on the phone remembered me, and even the tire size. She was really friendly and pleasant to deal with. They got my vehicle in quickly. It always seems to take longer than I expect, but the waiting room is nice and they have coffee. You can also watch the progress on their security camera feed. While waiting I heard them talk to several customers about results from their checks on the vehicles. I didn't hear any scare tactics, so I don't think they are just out to get more money from you. I know when you're spending a good amount on tires you don't want to hear about other problems, but not everyone realizes all the different wear components of their vehicles. The set of tires and an alignment took just under 3 hours. It's not a great way to spend your time, but I needed it done. I do think there are inefficiencies in the process, but not any more than at other places. Anyway, I know they did what I needed, and got me back on the road safely. read more

I had a tire rotation and they checked my breaks on my called in appointment and it was all done in a timely fashion.

Had a small object in one tire causing a small leak. They took care of it with no problems.

I made an appointment for 11:00 to have my new tires installed. While checking in at 11:00 the service manager (Jo) told me that it would be a couple of hours before they got to my vehicle. I made a comment to her, 'why then make appointments?' Her response was, "so nobody else gets in front of you." That's all you'll need to know concerning wait times at this place. read more

We had purchased four new tires there. They were still under warranty and they weren't good tires and whenever I get to go to get one replaced that has a bubble on the side of it where the band on the inside of the tire is obviously broken and it's got a huge giant bubble coming off the side of my tire and I go to get it replaced Friday at noon. I was told that it would take about two 2 1/2 hours so 2 1/2 hours goes by I go to get my car. I have to pick up my daughter from the bus stop so I go straight home and the next day I'm outside looking at my car and noticed that the tire is still bubbled out and wasn't replaced. They had replace the wrong tire and then whenever I go back the next day that they're open on Monday Morning, they go and get the tire out of the dumpster that they had taken off my car to put it back on my car and they also charged me $67.85 for a 2999 service fee and a 999 some kind of other fee and I told the guy that I did not up to 6785 and he told me well they do add in taxes and stuff you know like taxes and state taxes in so that's about $67 right there and I don't understand why if the tire is under warranty am I paying almost for a whole new tire? $70 almost $70 And then they didn't even fix the right tire so now I'm wasting my time again on another day to take it down there to get fixed and nobody ever said I'm sorry for the inconvenience or I'm sorry we messed up. There was none of that and that's all I wanted to hear, but he couldn't answer me on why I was charged the amount I was charged, and they told me that the the reason why they changed the wrong tire was because of a finger slip and that guy was new? Like it's just no big deal and never apologized. Never offered any kind of compensation or putting a new tire on my car. They went and got the one out of the dumpster that they had taken off on Friday and put it back on my car Monday morning ridiculous is what this place is. read more

Love the service at the fto location great group of people to deal with across the board

For several years my husband and I have bought several sets of tires from this location and at various times used them for tire repair. Every time we say we will never return. Today was the very last time I will ever pull into that lot again. The employees are incredibly rude and act as though you are bothering them just by walking in. I simply had a question that I was never given to opportunity to ask today. There were several employees working, none of them addressed me but continued to stay busy walking around me and answering the phones like I was nonexistent. I have worked in retail for 20 plus years in management and know that this is certainly not how you keep repeat customers. The incident today is certainly not the first time! I was able to find another dealer that was able to help me. read more

My car was worked on through a collision center here, when I was sent here to look at a problem with my car still not fixed I received nothing but attitude and told I needed brand new tires because I didn't get them rotated enough... how the guy thought he knew this I have no clue. My car only had 28,000 miles on it at the time and were rotated the day I had my wreck. Upon taking it to the Honda dealership for the same issue I needed a new wheel bearing not 4 new tires.... It took an hour to have the oil changed in my car. Front office staff was friendly and helpful however the mechanic was slow, rude and not interested in helping customers. There are many other places in the Fort O area to get your oil changed so don't waste your time here. read more

Great service! They were able to put 4 tires on the day I called, all balanced and complete in less than 2 hours!

We took my Honda in for a tire rotation and oil change bc that's where we got the tires from. When my husband went to get back into the car it was beeping nonstop, with a flashing light that says check tire pressure. My husband went back into the shop and they argued with him and said the car was like that when he brought it in. The guy at the front counter got really ugly with my husband. We will not be back there. The tire discounter in dalton tried to help but is not sure what they did to it. I will not be back to the store in Fort Oglethorpe. I had a small tire job right before closing. I needed the tires taken off a set of rims at 6:30pm and they close at 7pm. They were busy and I didn't expect them to say yes but much to my surprise they took my tire off the rims for me! Thanks to the guys at Tire Discounters in Fort O I was able to give a set of tires to a relative that could not afford new tires and was driving on a bald set. I would recommend them to anyone needing any tire or wheel work done! read more

I had a flat in Dalton on my way to Nashville for my son's soccer tournament. I changed to the donut spare, but I knew I couldn't make it to Nashville in pouring rain on the spare. Being a loyal Discount Tire Kennesaw customer, I looked for a nearby Discount Tire. I found one just 30 mins away in Ft Oglethorpe. I told them my dilemma on timing and they put me in the queue right away. When I arrived, they were slammed, with a ton of Jeeps in the queue. But they got me in and out just in time for my son to make warm ups 2 mins early. Best thing? This is something they do at NO COST! I tipped $20 because they ROCKED it. Probably better off going to the Mom and Pop place down the street. I called at 9:30 asking the lady on the phone if they had the capability to align a crew cab long wheel base truck. She assured me that it was no problem. I also asked her if I needed to make an appointment and she said it was not necessary. I arrive at the store at 12:00 and ask at the front desk if they can align larger truck and he again assured me that it was not a problem. He said they have several vehicles ahead of me and to come back at 2:00. I come back at 2:00 and he tells me they are still behind but to leave my truck and they would call me when it is finished. I was sweating when I entered the store and he made a comment about the AC on my truck. He was obviously fishing for more work but I didn't comment on it. Around 4:30 I received a call that they were not able to get the truck on the lift because it was too long. I was not surprised but went to pick up the truck. I go in to pick up the keys and the guy at the desk again tries to fish for some AC work on my 30 year old work truck. The invoice I received listed AC problems, worn suspension, and steering components. This was proven to be false when the cause of the misalignment was a slight shim adjustment. I basically wasted a whole day on this place and I value my time. I can't comment on the actual work they do because I did not receive any. read more

Took a car in for an alignment. Just had new tie rods installed so I was looking for the closest place, and it was Tire Discounters. They were $10 more than NTB on the same 4 wheel alignment with the same 6 month warranty, but they were closer so I went with them. I called and was quoted $84, but when I get there my bill was right at $100 with the added "shop fees" on the bill. I have had many alignments done, and never been charged a shop fee. This seems to be a money grab, so make sure you get the total cost out the door before considering them. The service was good and the employees were friendly. It's a new store so it was spotless. I will keep them in mind for future repairs, but only if they are cheaper than my normal shop and I get a total cost out the door with all miscellaneous fees added. They should disclose this on the phone before someone drives out to have services performed. read more
