Hidden charges, asked me to sign a computer pad without showing the invoice, tires are 25% higher price than online distributors, no price match, 100% markup on parts, recommended and installed tires that turned my sports car's crisp steering response and handling into a sedan's understeer and body roll. Bought tires online on AAA Bob Sumerel's website. Guy texted me right away that Tires would be there Monday. Ordered Thursday. Texted him Monday and said I was good to go. Showed up. Guy at the counter said, you here for an oil change. I said no. He said alignment? and again I said no, then after getting my truck on the rack and dismounting 2 tires, new ones weren't even there? OK, No Big Deal. Called the next day, said they had them in. Got me right in and mounted them. Then I looked and the tires are already 3 years old? Manufactured in April of 2020. I complained to the manager, and he said they are new if they haven't touched the ground, Tires start aging right after manufacturing. Then, after I got home, I had to scrub the grease off my wheels and the valve stems aren't even new. They are dirty with brake dust, and they all aren't even the same size? I was more than patient with these people and then they slam dunked me with old tires. These guys will never get my business or touch any of my cars again. No wonder they were cheaper than the competition. They sell old tires. Thinking of filing a claim with my Chase card. This isn't right. I contacted customer service as they replied to my review, and gave them my contact info. They told me they would contact me by phone by the next two business days. That was four business days ago. very high prices and rude. i went to get my alternator checked and got a call the next day that it would be over $1000 to get fixed and when i refused the service and told them that I would come by to get my car, they ( Mike) tried scaring me into getting it fixed there. he told me that he didn't understand what i was telling him about picking up my car if it was "probably going to leave me on the highway " and i might not even "be able to pull out of the parking lot" and asked me if was sure multiple times. They make you feel stupid for refusing their Service. Not to mention he also asked me if was going to "try and drive it" in a very sassy tone to which I responded yes. dont go here read more

About ten years ago my teenage son took his car to Tire Discounters (right next door to Bob Sumerel) with a flat tire. They told him that he needed 4 new tires. I told him to go next door to Bob Sumerel where he was told that he only needed one. That day I became a big Bob Sumerel fan. They didn't try to take advantage of a teenage boy, Over the years, I have had nothing but great service. I took my car there this week after I damaged my front end. The guys there were as friendly as ever and the final bill was $200 less than their original estimate. I would highly recommend the Ft. Wright Bob Sumerel to anyone. read more

Stay far far away from this place. I was visiting from out of town when I needed a repair. Customer service manager Glenn told me the part and all associated hoses needed to be replaced for a cost of $800. I called my mechanic back home and he said the price was outrageous. Took to another shop and they said it was simply a loose hose connection and fixed the problem for next to nothing. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. read more

Don't waste your time here. My family and I will never use this location of Bob Sumerel again. After several bad experiences, we recommend going else where. Several of the employees have been very rude and even misleading with repair information. Furthermore, we been over charged for repairs that even the dealerships would have done for less, and with OEM parts. Not aftermarket parts like this place. I can not tell you enough good things about this location in Ft. Wright, Kentucky. It is an honest repair shop ran by great management with some very good techs. They treat you right and provide fair, decent and honest service for a great value. I have been to this location a few times for various items and have always been pleased and felt as if I had been treated fairly. In today's times finding a good place to get routine auto work done without having your pockets drained is even of more importance and Bob Sumerel helps to make that happen. Don't waste your money! They completely ignored my insurance estimate, and charged us $1,000 more. They never contacted our insurance for supplemental payments, and were rude to me and my insurance agent. I also can't get anyone from the shop or corporate office to return my call. When I dropped by realizing one of our cars was near bare on the front tires, I was expecting a pitch about needing to replace all four...but nope! They were honest and told me that they'd love to sell me four, but I only needed two and they could do it right now. Troy is great and very pleased with how I was treated. Not taken advantage of at all. FWIW, I was going to order from an online discounter and have shipped here (they were listed as an authorized installer), but the prices of their instock tires were close enough to get it done now without the hassle. I have used this place multiple times and have had great work done, but today the customer service was horrible. I got there at 7:35a (they open at 7:30a) and was told to just drop my car off and he would squeeze it in later this afternoon. I asked about what time that would be because I have errands to run so I would just come back. The manager (short chubby guy with glasses) was BEYOND rude and said they don't take walk-ins. I tried to explain to him I've always done walk ins, but he rudely cut me off and tried to say they haven't done walk ins for four years. That's a lie. Each time I've gone has been a walk in and I've been there about four/five times the past two years. He then tried to say--in a very aggressive tone--how he's short staffed and doesn't have time for me or walk-ins. I had some issues with the way he was talking to me as I'm a woman and I believe that he felt he could talk to me anyway he felt like. On a prior visit I've heard him SCREAM at his employees for being lazy; he was very vile and used foul language. At that time I was in the waiting room alone and felt uncomfortable then as well. I will never use this location again. This man has showed his colors twice now and I certainly don't need a third time. read more

Stop in at 605 pm with a simple nail in my tire. sign on the door states open till 7. When i asked if the could fix it I was told they were done for the day. All garage doors were open and workers still milling around. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will not spend any money there. read more

Worst service ever! No wonder they only have 2stars. Spent $1500 on new tires at their location during summer. Got up this morning and new tire almost flat. Took it to Bob Summerell and they wouldn't even look at it. Said to leave it or make an appointment. I said I had just bought them couldn't they just look at it to see what was the matter? No he said we are all booked up. I said I wouldn't be back and he told me not to be rude. Horrible experience. Don't go near these guys!!! read more

I made an appointment for a tire rotation and an oil change. My daughter took her car down for the service and she brought me home the receipt. They did not rotate the tires like the appointment was for and they put the wrong oil in the car. The cap on the car is clearly marked with the oil to use. The person servicing the car must not of been able to read the correct oil to put in the car. I called the corporate office to let them know they did not rotate our tires and they put the wrong oil in our car. The local office called me back to tell me corporate called and said to refund your credit card and Eric began to argue with me stating my daughter didn't tell them to rotate the tires even though the appointment was to rotate the tires and there was nothing on the car to tell them the correct oil to use. I said Eric I'm sure corporate did not call and tell you to argue with me. The agent used the wrong oil end of story. If you want to keep your car don't trust this company. read more
