Many issues with this store! I cannot trust them any longer! First, I was told that I needed new tires, but I waited until finances were better(2-3months). I went in to finally get the new tires and was told I didn't need them. They said there was 6 months life still on them. When I asked why I was told I needed new ones 2 months ago they had no good answer. More recently my transmission light came on and specifically went in for them to look at it. They said I needed a new transmission. Two days later my car won't start. We checked the fluids and there was no transmission fluid in the car. I was very angry considering Bob Sumeral supposedly looked at my transmission just 2 days prior. How do you check out my transmission, for over 2 hours mind you, and not check the fluid?! When we called to explain the problem and get some answers we were told that the person that we needed to talk to was not in but they would call us...never received that call so I'm putting this information out there to help others avoid this store! read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. Called at 1pm to see if they could replace my belt and was told no problem. I call at 6 and am told we won't be able to get to this until tomorrow bight if not Monday morning. Completely unacceptable. On top of that the guy named Chris treated everyone he came into contact with like garbage and was very rude and disrespectful. This was absolutely the worst experience ever. read more

Terrible experience - if you want fair service you can trust go to the small independently owned shop "Raaker" just around the corner. The story: I went to get a simple Nitrogen fill for my tires and the employee informed me there was a nail in my right rear tire. Fair enough - I looked and there was in fact a nail that I remember seeing. He informed me it would be a quick patch with a small fee but they were too busy to patch it up then. So when I came in to get it patched I went to Kroger next door so I wouldn't have to wait around. They called and told me the tires "were too old" to patch, which is strange since I had them replaced a few years ago. They said it was absolutely necessary to get new tires, and that I would be charged $250 for them. I gave my husband a call to discuss, and when I called back they bumped up the price to $300. When I told them I did not want the tires to be replaced at that moment, they told me to ask my Dad for money... Incredibly rude and assuming! I was firm and went to Raaker around the corner - turned out it was an easy fix and my tires were fine (they suggested replacing them in the next 2 years but not immediate). I spent 4 1/2 hrs on a simple 6 month maintenance on my '06 Sonata. !st appointment - was there for an hour and was then told that they couldn't get to my car because the door on one bay was broken and they could not get the car out of that bay that they had worked on and the other bay had a car in it that would not start so they couldn't get it out of the bay. 2nd appointment - It took and hour and a half to get the maintenance completed. I didn't use my car for two weeks, and when I did I noticed that there was oil on the garage floor, probably about a quart of oil. I call TD and they said to bring it right in. I arrived at 3:25 pm. After awhile the service manager came and told me that "my car" was different; the filter sat down inside of something and then there was a sealing ring on top and that ring failed and they would get it fixed. Next - I was told that they didn't carry that part in stock, but they would order ir of KOI and it would be right over. At 5:30 - 2 hr. later, my car was done and the gentleman apologized for the delay. I told him that I thought 4 1/2 hrs for one simple maintenance was totally out of the question. He said that all he could do was apologize because he was just a worker. I told him that I didn't know how they could stay in business with such shoddy service and apparently they didn't value my time. He just said "i'M sorry there is nothing I can do" I said "I will never step foot back in here again". With that the service manager come into the picture. The service manager heard Our discussion and apologized and again told me that "MY Car" was different and that this ring had failed. He had no idea why it had taken so long for the part to be delivered from OKI as parts were usually brought right over. He told me that he hoped that I would come back and he would prove to me that they do have really good service. I said "No Thank You" and then he gave a card for a free tune up. You have to give one star in order to rate a place, so I gave a star. I picked up my car this morning after an oil change. I had a coupon so the oil change would be $39.99. Not so much. $84.00. Absurd. The guy at the counter told me the discount had already been applied, which is insane. The 'marked price' on a poster I saw was $79.99. The workers were dismissive, and the cost was entirely too high. I usually go to my car's dealership in Kings Mills. It's worth the 30 minute drive not to have to pay to deal with these clowns. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. read more

I don't know why we keep going back. I frequently plan my day for efficiency and say well since I need an oil change and groceries, might as well do them at the same time. Grocery shop while my car is serviced. It never goes very well. If I make an appointment, then I'm told they had some walk-ins or overnights that took up time...and my simple oil change takes three hours. If I walk-in, i'm told there were appts that get priority...so it takes three hours. If I call ahead and ask how long it'll take, i'll hear "oh it's pretty slow, only about 15 min wait". I'm frustrated by their frequent comments about how my car is "up next" but then still sits for 45 mins. they need to dramatically adjust their quote times. they are routinely off by 2 hours. I recognize why they don't say actual quote times, they want your money. They string you along until at the end of the day it's my time that was wasted waiting while other oil change shops could have done the same job even if they're $5-10 more. case in point, after thousands of dollars over the last two years (I drink 100 miles roundtrip for work daily), we will no longer be coming. read more

My daughters van had a flat tire on the front and a slow leak in the back. I dropped by on a Saturday around 3pm and they said they would try to get to it. Not only did they get to it, they replaced the back tire due to sidewall cut (approved by me), they patched the front tire for free. Picked it up at 5pm. Great service and a Kudos for the team. Bait and switch! Their word means nothing. Do not do business here. I was shopping for a set of Michelin tires. I called in and spoke to Jamie. He quoted me a price for the tires. I told him that I was also a Costco member and that they were beating his price. I wanted to give them the opportunity to get the business. He then quoted me a lower price that I accepted. I then made an appointment for 5 o'clock to come in and get four tires at that price. Once I arrived, Alex quoted me a much higher price. I told him that that was not the deal that was made with Jamie. I told him I am a Costco member and Jamie had negotiated for the business, so I was to receive a lower price. He called back to Jamie and then quoted a somewhat lower price, but it was not the deal that had been previously been negotiated. I again stated that was not the deal that had been made. He stated well he didn't know because he wasn't on the phone with Jamie and I. He would not honor the deal that had been made. I told him that if he did not believe his customers, then why would I want to do business with them? He still stated that they wouldn't honor the price that had been negotiated. Their bait and switch tactics did not work on me as I went ahead and left. I just got done calling my local Costco store. It turned out they were able to order them up at a price that was even lower than what I had been quoted at tire discounters. On top of that, Costco is also running a $70 off for a set of four Michelin tires, so I saved even more. Best of all, Costco ALWAYS believes their customers. Honorable companies are the ones which I want to do business with. No bait and switch at Costco unlike Tire Discounters who tried to bait and switch me. read more

Each and every time I come here my service is absolutely exceptional! I recently discovered while on my way to work in the pouring rain that two of my tires were low. I literally pulled in and asked them if they would be able to fill my tires ~ I got back in my car, pulled into a bay and they had me back out of there and on the highway in under 5 minutes! I was so appreciative to have them check things out and get me back on the road so quickly. They were very nice and professional and as always, very efficient and fast. The big problem I've had with this location is the time it takes to have tires installed. On Saturday, I checked prices and made an appointment for 10am Tuesday. The tires were in stock. I arrived slightly ahead of my scheduled appointment, and left four hours later!?! I appreciate that a job well done may take a bit longer than "Joe Tire" but four hours to install four tires is a bit, "tiring". This location is close to my house, the employees are friendly, but I may have to rethink bringing my car here if it takes that long to install tires. (By the way, this is the second set of tires I bought from this location, and both times, I was there half of the day.) read more

Do not go to this location. I had tires replaced and ended up having items stolen out of my car. After speaking with the regional manager and regional director they sided with their employees as they were questioned and tapes were reviewed. However, their cameras do not capture parking lot activity and despite this tremendous lapse they still sided with their employees and insisted the items were stolen elsewhere. I dropped my car in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon and the items were gone. Horrible customer service and will NEVER be returning. I recommend you stay far away as well... read more

I recently visited their store in direr need of repairs to my 2002 ford focus. My tire was wobbling really bad. I knew that Tire Discounters just opened a store in Newport Ky. So I stoppped there for help as my car was not in drivable condition. I noticed that I had two wheel studs and lug nuts missing. So I got and estimate, which I thought was too high to begin with ($95). But I was stranded and the counter guy knew he could charge more. A day later I get a call from the counter guy who told me that additional work had to be done, due to a stripped bolt. I needed a part called "knee" or "Knuckle" which the front right wheel attaches. The price he quoted for a USED PART was $240. I asked what a new part would cost and he did not know, he did not even check to see what it would cost. He also said that a new part is double the price of USED PART.... So I did some research of my own... On the ford genuine parts website costs were from $276.00 to $405. (http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/CatalogResults.aspx?y=2002&m=Ford&mo=Focus#Search) This is a big difference, do to the fact that I would have liked a new part not a used one. For the simple reason that this part could be wore out too....I also asked another counter guy, why it was not marked as "used" on my invoice. He did not have an answer for me. Because I had no choice, I had to get the work done. I feel that Tire Discounters over charged me for this part. Mishandled Tire alignment cost me 600 dollar to fix the problem. they have under-qualified employees and they are not honest people. I did my tire alignment due to a change of rack and pinion. However, they didn't loose two boot clips before the toning. This mistake busted the two boots, rubble covers of my new rack and pinion. I did not notice it until 4 days after the alignment when my car started to make big noise when I made turns. I noticed my car was losing steering oil. a mechanical check identified the two busted boots. I tried to ask the store manager to solve the problem which was due to their mistakes, but they did not admit it. Several car mechanics told me that a mishandled alignment can break the boots of rack and pinion, since car alignment is done by turning rods of rack and pinion. The boots are attached to the rods. Therefore, when you have two new boots busted at the same time after a car alignment. You know who did it. However, the manager insisted they didn't break the boots of my rack and pinion. So now I need to replace my rack and pinion again within two weeks after my last replacement and pay the labor fees by myself. It's very expensive to replace a rack and pinion. I strongly recommend you NOT to use tire discounters's services, at least not in this store at 115 pavilion Pkwy, Newport, KY. I don't want to see another victim like me. Now I learned that you'd better check the two boots of your rack and pinion after a tire alignment, if you know where they are located. Or at least watch the level of your steering fluid, if you can find it under the hood. Or have your tire alignment done by some qualified store. Hopefully you don't need pay 600 dollars to learn this lesson like me. read more
