I made an appointment for an oil change at 11:30. They didn't even pull my car into the shop until 12:40. What's the point of making an appointment if I have to sit for an hour before they start on my vehicle. When I asked about it, they said they had other cars still waiting that had been there since 8am that didn't have an appointment. I responded with that's why I made an appointment. Their next response was that they have bills to pay. Well, your customers have responsibilities too. I finally left their shop at almost 2:00. Made an appointment two weeks prior for 8am when they opened. When I arrived there was a line of people standing outside the door waiting this location to open. When they opened the doors I stood in line patiently waiting to get checked in. I was checked in at 8:15. They should have an appointment line. I advised them I would be waiting on it and going to get coffee at the Kroger's Starbucks, and to call me when it was ready. After an hour and twenty minutes I called to see when it was going to be ready and the guy said they hadn't started on it. I asked why, and he tried to use the excuse that it's the busiest travel day of the year (The day before Thanksgiving). I stopped him immediately and told him he could not use that excuse because I made an appointment and was not a walk in. My vehicle was still in the parking lot and not in the shop, so I told him to cancel the work. I went back retrieved my keys and left. I will not be back! Don't go here!!! What an incredibly friendly "eff you." These stores all seem to be staffed with super friendly people that smile all the time, but don't really give two-shits if they kill you. I bought tires from the Dry Ridge store. They said they were unable to do an alignment because they couldn't turn the tie rod sleeve. I discovered several bad front end parts, so I literally replaced everything on the front end of my Jeep. New tie rods and and sleeve, drag link ends and sleeve, new track bar, etc. With all new front end parts, I now needed the alignment more than ever. Dry Ridge had no availability so I went to Walton. They aligned my Jeep and I picked it up. A few days later, I'm making a turn at the bottom of a hill and as I hit the breaks the front end started vibrating so badly it nearly shook the steering wheel out of my hands. This is known as "death wobble" and it's usually associated with worn out parts that allow movement or slop in the front end.... impossible with all new parts and a fresh alignment, right? Turned out that after my alignment, none of the front end adjustments were tightened back down. The nuts were not tight against the sleeves, and both sleeves could twisted by hand. I've now talked extensively to the store manager Jeremy, who basically apologized that his store nearly killed me and did nothing else. His RM, Gary, had a conversation with Jeremy and got a voicemail from me, and evidently this very serious situation doesn't even warrant a return call. Now I have tires that are "eaten up" according to them, and can't get an alignment because I don't trust them not to try to kill me again. No one cares. They say they care, but actions are louder than words, folks. If you value your lives, go to a more reputable locally owned garage where you might get some accountability from someone. I have reached out dozens of times and no one except a service manager at one of the stores has ever returned my calls. Tires all had varying pressure causing the car to tell me to check pressure only to learn they were overinflated by 12-18psi. WAX was CAKED all over the tires hiding all the scratches they left behind and it cost over $40 at a car wash by hand with paint safe cleaner just to get the caked on wax off. Ordered leveling kit and tires for my Bronco. Manager took 50% for deposit $1300. Called me a week later to bring car in bc parts arrived. Dropped it off and 5 hrs later got a call saying they didn't have all the parts. Came got my Bronco manager didn't even apologize and I asked when would you get the parts he said early next week. Called manger the next Tuesday and he said should be tomorrow Wednesday. Never heard back and finally asked for a refund that took another week. had an appointment at 2pm, left with the car untouched at 3pm and went somewhere else that pulled my car into the bay within 5 minutes of being there. all I needed done was an oil change and tire rotation. the people I saw when I walked in was still there whenever I left an hour later. normally never have any issues but every time I go in there, the store manager or whoever runs the front desk is different so I guess they can't keep anyone there read more

I do not recommend based on the following experience: 1. Took car in for an oil leak 2. Shop charged me $1,500 to repair said leak 3. After repair was completed, car still leaked oil 4. Mark, General Manager, agreed to "try" and reduce bill by $500 5. Mark, General Manager, then told me he could not reduce bill by $500 because it wasn't "approved" 6. Just bought 4 brand new Yokohama tires at Discount Tires. Went to Cincinnati & was returning home to Louisville when our tire light came on. On Maps I didn't double check (Discount Tire vs.Tire Discounters...Dah!) so I picked the nearest one 715 Chestnut, which was Tire Discounter. Mike, the Manager, was great! He didn't laugh nor made fun of me. He just stated your insurance coverage is good at Discount Tire but would be happy to swap out the punctured tire with my spare. Mike himself did it and we were done and out in minutes! If I lived near this Tire Discounters Store I would definitely buy from here! read more

The front desk manager is rude as all get out and does not know how to talk to customers, just hearing him talk to other customers, an myself included. I dont know how he still has a job. Everyone else I interacted with was great. Cant balance tires for the life of them. It is always infuriating to find a business being flat out dishonest. I was towed in with a flat tire, and asked this business to return my flat tire so that I could get a refund from the place I purchased the flat tire. When I did so a few days later, I found that not only did this Tire Discounters store put a tire on that didn't match the other three, but they just gave me a random used tire, not the one I brought in. Luckily, Discount Tire in Fairfield OH has integrity. They replaced the incorrect tire these clowns put on my car with a tire with the correct size and specs for free. I ran over a large screw, instead of taking it out and plugging it, I was told I needed a new set of Parelli tires $710.00. Because on an AWD vehicle you never replace 1 tire. And if your going to replace 2, you might as well replace them all. So I took it to another of their stores and they plugged it for free. I had an oil change and bought a new tire. My wife picked up the car, went directly home, the car caught fire. There were no defective wiring or engine parts that caused the fire. Now, I cannot prove that Tire Discounters caused the problem. But, use some logic. A prefectly good car well maintained; no recalls, no engine problems. I believe something happened. I believe the they know what happened. My wife drives it less than 10 miles and it catches fire. My only conclusion is the Tire Discounters only own up to their mistakes if they get caught. Not an upright and moral way to run a business. The one star rating is more than they deserve. read more

Just had my oil changed at the Walton KY store and the floor mat where a mess with dirty foot prints. I showed them to the person who waited on me and his response was they are weather guard mats. But we will clean them off. What does the type of floor mat have to do with disregard for the customers property. Think twice about this location. read more

If i could put zero stars i would. They are inconsiderate of your property when installing your own rims and tires, when they had installed mine it was bent and it both messed up the rim and the tire. They knew this, but neglected to tell me until i had brought it back in again due to low psi in the tire. Now that the tire and wheel is messed up, I'm the one who has to pay for a complete replacement when i paid for it the first time to get it done correctly. If you can, avoid this place!!! Not happy !! I had an appointment yesterday at 10:00 am for an oil change and tire rotation. Keep in mind I had an appointment. I showed up 15 mins early and was told it would be about an hour. I come back an hour later and my truck hadn't moved. I inquired and was told only 1 tech was in. I said "why wasn't I told this when I dropped my truck off" - The answer was a blank stare. My next question was do you have any idea when my truck will be done - the answer was "I have no idea." On 5/17 I took my dually truck in to be aligned and get the tires balanced as I noticed there was no wheel weights on either front tire when I polished the rims the week before. 3 hours later they were finally done with these 2 simple tasks that they are supposed to be doing daily. On the way home the truck was not riding or steering correctly. I did not have time to return back but took the truck home and parked it. The following day on 5/18 when the rain finally stopped I looked at my tires. One tire looked almost flat - I checked the pressure and it was 46 pounds when it should of been 80 pounds. 2 other tires checked and they were at 60 and 62 pounds. All air valve caps were missing EXCEPT one front tire that still had no weights on it and the only tire that still had 80 pounds of air. My brand new center caps were put back on incorrectly. I returned to the store in Walton. Red headed male behind the desk said he wasn't there yesterday and they'd get right on it. The young man (Tony) who worked to fix my truck did a careful and thorough job. I have no complaints about him. He found the following issues: 1) All 6 tires were out of balance. 2) 5 out of 6 tires were low or severally low on air pressure. 3) Center rim caps were put on wrong. 4) One hub cap washer was missing from a front rim. Tony found it in the shop and it had been damaged the day before. That "technician" chose to just not put it back on which ultimately could of cracked my aluminum rim. Tony fixed the washer and put it on correctly. Now hopefully I don't have to mention what problems could arise from the mentioned issues that your company caused! I stood outside the bay door for the entire almost 2 hours watching Tony while he fixed what should of been done right yesterday. My truck was safer before I ever brought it to you to begin with! Being that this is a 12,000 pound truck your stores NEGLIGENCE could of caused catastrophic failures - especially considering I'm leaving to haul a loaded gooseneck trailer 1,100 miles! I have NEVER seen such outright carelessness and negligence before. I foolishly trusted your company to do its job and keep my truck safe!!When my truck was finished I went inside to the desk to speak with the red haired man again. No idea if he was the GM but definitely the one in charge of the shift. He basically said "have a nice day". I won't repeat the conversation verbatim here but I asked if he was kidding. He wanted to know if my truck was correct. Well - it is NOW - after 2 trips and 5 hours!! I went through the entire list of everything that was wrong and that Tony had found. His response was that he was sorry it happened and that he wasn't there the day before so he couldn't do anything else and to have a nice day. Now if you remember correctly - I had an alignment done the day before as well. I PAID for this alignment. This was not a freebie. Matter of fact - this location had put on my new tires 2 years prior and I never came back to do another alignment because this truck doesn't get driven every single day. How do I know the alignment was even done correctly when everything else was screwed up?!?!? So I PAID for service and got screwed. Wasted 5 hours of my precious time - 6 if you include travel time. And after all that I'm told - sorry - have a nice day. I can not get over the lack of your customer service and negligence of your company not to hire people who can actually do a simple job. I do not know why the word "discounters" is in their name because they are one of the more expensive mechanic shops around. Every time I go there, I end up leaving and going somewhere else. I had previously posted a good review of this place based on previous past positive visits at this business. On my last visit for an oil change they were incredibly unprofessional, taking forever even though I had an appointment, giving the car back to me with my oil light on, then two weeks later when I went to check my oil I found the oil stick was not all the way in! I don't know if there has been a change in management, personnel, or perhaps tire discounters is growing too fast and therefore the quality is suffering, I am going to try another location of tire discounters before I write them off completly,my advice, avoid the Walton location. read more

They will treat you like a king if you are buying tires and charge you extra for a road hazard warranty but when you go in to use that road hazard warranty know this you are no longer a value to them. I sat in there hours and watched folks being told to make a appointment for tomorrow because there is a two hour wait yet there would be someone coming in there buying something and they are told they will be the next person in....I think I would rather not been sold a warranty than to be sold a warranty and be treated the way I feel I was treated....oh gosh don't get me started on the day I went in to get the tires balanced and rotated with a appointment yet I sat there watching so many people buying stuff and getting taken right in while I sat hours after my appointment time...when I finally had enough I confronted the man at the counter who told me everyone in there was in there for something different and the employees do different jobs which sounded reasonable so I let it go thinking this is how tire places work. But today I have had it I would rather pay Costco $700.00 and know I will be treated the same as everyone else there weather I am buying tires or going in for warranty work. I am not in the tire business but I can tell you I could run that Walton tire discounters place a heck of a lot better where there would be no upset folks waiting in their waiting room. Much better than the people they have working there. I paid very good attention....my last visit I heard the sales counter man telling a person waiting how they had the highest sales blah blah....my advice to him is you better treat folks better after you make those sales or I'm thinking you might not keep your sales record up that you seemed to be so proud of.
